Pros: The overall ambiance of the hotel was very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and also seemed very relaxed themselves. The breakfast was great with a large selection to suit everyones taste. The distance from the main squares was minimal, just a 10 minute walk, even with a suitcase.

Pros: I liked the rooms were good with good beds, baths and clean. We arrived at 03.00 in the night i.s.o 21.00 in the evening. That was no problem at all. I did misunderstood the time for breakfast. We arrived for breakfast around 10.10. When I explained they adjusted there way and made it possible for us to enjoy the breakfast. I liked the free parking as well.

Pros: When I arrived, the man at the reception was busy with 2 women. He was explaining them the direction to some places with a map. He was quite friendly and after noticing me and checking if I was in a hurry he continued his assistance with the ladies. When it was my turn to be checked-in ( I was not in a hurry), he was also very friendly and provided all the relevant information. When I came back later in the evening, I had a beer at the bar and again the gentleman was quite friendly. In the morning, I took the breakfast which was quite simple but quite good and unlimited. I took eggs and bacon with bread + coffee and juice but there were other options available. The room was comfortable, spacious and quiet Overall, I had a great stay

Cons: I was confused about the location of the hotel as the name was Hotel Lille Centre Grand Palais. I did also find there was free parking which I liked. I could not connect those with each other bud still kind of expected the hotel to be in the city center to have a little peak. But from the hotel you still need time to find your way to the city center. We did not take that time and drove to Brussel after beakfast.

Pros: The hotel is about a five minute walk from the "Eurostar, Lille Europe" train station and is by the side of the "Gare Lille Flandres" SNCF train station, the reception area is very clean and bright and the reception staff were very polite and helpful, the rooms are very clean and the bed comfortable, the shower and bathroom were kept clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. I didn't use the hotel bar or dining room but they looked like a nice area. The hotel is only a short walk from a large numbers of bars, cafes and restaurants around the train station and a little further walk brings you to the Vieux Lille area which is full of bars, restaurants and shops, the metro system has a station near the hotel and bus stops are also nearby the hotel if you want to venture further, and the park, zoo and Citadel fortress are within a walkable distance. It is nothing to do with the hotel but the area around the SNCF station does have a few beggars, alcoholics and drug users hanging around but I never saw them pester people. I would stay in this hotel again.

Cons: The room was not what I expected, which makes some of these questions difficult to answer - I don't think this was the fault of the Ibis Hotel, I haven't checked but assume I hadn't read things properly! We asked for an upgrade but all rooms are the same. Therefore this is a good hotel with very basic accommodation, idea for overnight or solo traveller. Absolutely no frills. Very limited space for suitcases, very limited space around bed, don't share with someone you don't like... Bed was big and comfortable but sheets weren't fitted so wrinkled easily. However, we got used to it all! It had a window, bed, bedside table and lamp, small work unit, small hanging space, small shelving space. Huge TV for those who wish to lie on the bed and watch! I can't comment on value for money as we don't do enough travelling. If you risk not booking ahead the basic room price at the door is 130 euros.

Pros: The original room was appalling - the sleeping/work area was tiny - 2 small singles with only a few inches between them and very little space around -> a massive bathroom opened to the room (that's where much of the space went....). It also smelt really bad. We moved to an executive room, paid the difference!!! That one was large, 1 decent double bed, a fold-out double that was fine and good facilities (shower, coffee maker etc!).

Cons: The room was small, shabby and infested with mosquitoes. We were bitten multiple times during our stay. Clothes storage was inadequate, with limited hanging space and no drawers whatsoever. The lavatory flush is faulty - it keeps filling up. The hotel lift is laughably tiny, and just as laughably slow. There was often an unpleasant smell in reception. The lounge area is drab and depressing. This is a soulless hotel to which we will never return.

Cons: Unfortunately, we did not have hot water in our apartment, and when we arrived at 11 PM this was a bad surprise. Neither the sink nor the shower had it, and we had to take cold showers because it was too late and we were tired to complain. No AC as well, which made our stay at the hotel even worse. It was very warm and we could not sleep properly, and once again, in the morning the freezing shower did not help. This was our experience after we drove 1000 km from Scotland, and I would like to get contacted for a refund by the managers of the structure. The people at the reception only apologised for the inconvenience.

Pros: Everything was great. The receptionists were very kind and willing to help. The room was cozy and there was enough space for two people. It was clean and at a really central place of Lille just next to the metro, the bus station and the big mall. Near the hotel there are nice restaurants, fast food shops and night shops from which you can buy easily whatever you need. Moreover, the fact they let us put some dairy products at the fridge and the fact they kept our luggage safe after check out was more than helpfull. Regarding the bathroom... yes it was somehow small but that did not affect our staying at all. It was clean and smartly furnished in order every inch to be used.

Pros: Everything was great. The receptionists were very kind and willing to help. The room was cozy and there was enough space for two people. It was clean and at a really central place of Lille just next to the metro, the bus station and the big mall. Near the hotel there are nice restaurants, fast food shops and night shops from which you can buy easily whatever you need. Moreover, the fact they let us put some dairy products at the fridge and the fact they kept our luggage safe after check out was more than helpfull. Regarding the bathroom... yes it was somehow small but that did not affect our staying at all. It was clean and smartly furnished in order every inch to be used.

Cons: Very dangerous location, just 1 night stay and someone broke the window of my car parked in front the hotel, and robbed a jacket inside.
