Pros: Pleasant hotel in downtown Lille. The staff was very nice, good breakfast, comfy bed, decent shower; all good! Rooms are small, but that is mentioned before you book, so to be expected. The room didnt feel cramped though, just don't bring huge suitcases ;) We much enjoyed our stay and the location couldnt be better.

Could have done with shelving or wardrobe space instead of only hanging space but overall services very good. The surroundings are beautiful but Lille's streets and squares are shockingly scattered with beggars and dealers of all sorts, which is a bit putting off!

Cons: Chose this hotel as it said it had free on site parking, this was not the case. Parking is E13 a day and garage too small for most cars. Had to park on road.

Cons: Bathroom - not particularly clean, ours had mouldy shower tray, something I am sure can be sorted with a good bleach and a scrub. The shower tray is also quite dangerous, it is surprisingly high and slippery. Facilities are also pretty basic: there is no conditionaire, your toiletries are pretty much a multi-use body wash. No safe, so if you have any valuables, you need to carry them with! No wardrobe, just a rail for clothes. Breakfast: pretty basic, definitely had better at other similarly priced hotels in France! With the amazing selection of food that France has to offer pretty much everywhere, it was disappointing. Oh and parking - if you came with a car that is not the size of Renault Clio, you could not get into the parking garage. I be fair, there are plenty of secure parking places around so it was not the end of the world, but it would be nice to know that you could comfortably park where you are staying.

Cons: Lots of beggars to the point its getting out of control The air-conditioning within the room is very poor and can only be set at 16 which is far from adequate in the summer months, The cleaners failed to clean our room so we had to ask for some fresh towels from reception at 11.30pm at night when we had returned after a night out and make our own bed which was not acceptable

Pros: Modern, great value, right near train stations (Eurostar and Lille Flanders). We booked this as a one night stop, en route from London to Ypres and the WW1 battlefields. Just a five minute stroll from the Eurostar station, this hotel is clean and the buffet style breakfast was excellent. It is right near Lille Flanders local railway station, and Ypres is only an hour away by train. Would recommend for a one night stayover near the transport connections. Also near the main square full of bars, cafes, restaurants and global fast food chains. Staff were friendly and hotel was clean, although room a little on the small side, but excellent value for money.

The lavatory flush is faulty - it keeps filling up. The hotel lift is laughably tiny, and just as laughably slow. There was often an unpleasant smell in reception. The lounge area is drab and depressing. This is a soulless hotel to which we will never return.

The receptionists were cheerful and very helpful. The room was very small particularly for the medium size suitcase. The bathroom was facilitated with towels and soap. It’s best you bring your own amenities. The bed is firm and I slept very well. I only stayed for one night and the small old fashioned hotel was just good enough for me. There are also lots of restaurants around and walking distance to the old town.

The bathroom smelt damp but looked clean The room had a big loose panel under the tv which fell forward and landed on my arm when I was sitting on the bed. I got a big bruise and informed the staff how dangerous it was because it left exposed electrical wires in the room and they just apologised rather than offer to move us. It would have been much worse if it had landed on one of my children.

Cons: Only superficially clean. Under -the-bed- area had not been vacuumed, there were crumbs and toenails. There were also a number of cleanliness issues in the bathroom which are too nasty to write about.

Cons: Unfortunately, we did not have hot water in our apartment, and when we arrived at 11 PM this was a bad surprise. Neither the sink nor the shower had it, and we had to take cold showers because it was too late and we were tired to complain. No AC as well, which made our stay at the hotel even worse. It was very warm and we could not sleep properly, and once again, in the morning the freezing shower did not help. This was our experience after we drove 1000 km from Scotland, and I would like to get contacted for a refund by the managers of the structure. The people at the reception only apologised for the inconvenience.

Pros: Excellent facilities for a family of five. We went to the local supermarket which was a two minute walk away and used the superb kitchen facilities in the apartment. It even had a dishwasher. Free parking until 9am right in front of the apartment. We arrived after midnight. Staff were friendly and keen to help.

The bath rim was 3+feet off the floor, have to be a mountain goat to get into it and if a person managed to slip would crack their head on the basin rim-very dangerous, for a person If not agile.
