Pros: We relaxed in loungers around the 2 pools and on the beach - the water is so warm like a bath. The gardens are beautiful with lovely ponds and flowers. The best holiday we have ever had and this was our 6th trip to Thailand. We would highly recommend this hotel and location. We changed from a poolside terrace room to a premier room to be near our 6 friends and preferred this room.

Pros: Staff were super friendly and very welcoming. We felt like part of the family from the moment we arrived. The daily breakfast baguette delivered was just one of the thoughtful touches that made it so nice. The accommodation is well presented and you have everything you need for your stay.
Cons: Nothing bad to say about the resort itself. However the location (beach front and beautiful) is right in one corner of the island so would recommend for either a beach holiday or hiring a car if you want to explore more. Although having said that the resort does offer some assistance with shuttle buses locally.

Cons: We did not see it at its best as we were unlucky to be there during terrible weather but the beach was a bit disappointing, somewhat rough sand and rocks washing in, but its har to know how much of this was due to the storms and also to the storms making it a bit rough and unusable.

Cons: Although listed as a 5 star hotel, the accomodation meets this star rating but the staff and facilty did not. Simple request could not be met, such as a side salad with a main course meal of lasagne. They heavily advertise the Red Snapper restaurant within the facilty but this is acutually off site by 20 mins. Drinks are very expensive within the hotel and by the pool when compared to Thailand hotel prices.

Cons: compulsory 10% service charge + 7% tax. All published pricing ommitted this extra 17% so you had to calculate the extra charges. I feel that the food & drinks were over priced. Hotel also exploited the fact that it was isolated and charged 500baht for a car to take you 10 minutes away.

Pros: I liked the hotel staff were very kind, helpfull. The hotel was very clean, the area was easygoing, next to the docks for Koh Phangan, Marine park, Koh Tao. There were some restaurants around with good food. I liked the pool, the hotel restaurant, the villas were very nice, spacious, everything looked quite new. Great value for money. No problem at all.

Pros: Some other guests had complained about the breakfast. The resort have improved. The American breakfast was good with additional options for those who have extra demands. Very nice staff. We missed two first nights due to delayed flights (with no refund). The hotel offered us late check-out without any cost. Good service with bustransfers. The surronding area offered restaurants, pharmacy, spas, access to boattrips to nearby islands etc.

Pros: At first i was a bit surprised about the location of the hotel (Buddha beach/Bang Rak), not really Boh Puth (which is mentioned in Lonely Planet as nice and quite beach). However you find out in the end that the Punpreeda is good value for money. Beach is clean and almost deserted, pool is great, beach front morning breakfast, familiar atmosphere.

Cons: Everything with the hotel was great, apart from the sea. The water in all area (Bo put, Big Budha) is a bit muddy, the bed of the sea was like mud.

Cons: Internet is not free. A/C was quite noisy and you could hear motorbikes and cars as our room was facing the street. Sound is not well isolated. Airport transfer is chargeable by person, not by the car and it's too expensive just for a 5-10 minutes drive. Difficult communication in English but we managed it.

Cons: we wouldn't reccomand eating in the hotel's restaurant. it is nice and clean but the food is rather tasteless or too spicy. but, having a million restaurants on the island, this shouldn't be the problem.

Pros: I have stayed at this property twice already with my boyfriend and we both absolutely love the rooms, staff and location. We've stayed both in a private pool villa and also just a balcony room, both were excellent- spacious, modern decor. The staff go above an beyond to make you feel welcome. ChongMon is a quiet area with some good restaurants nearby, and the beach across the street is a beautiful quiet bay. I would highly recommend this resort to couples looking for a romantic getaway, as well as families who want a great family friendly pool and location. We're already looking into booking our next stay at the Baywater <3
