Pros: The Beach Boys are awesome. They get to know your habits —setting up towels on your favorite beach chair, drink orders etc. The villas are comfortable and the plunge pools are great! The outdoor bathroom is cool, but takes a little getting used to however the entire space is very private. The staff are great. My son and I took a cooking class. Just us and the chef—highly recommend.

Cons: Pool villa was linked to another so not very private at all - none of this is clear when booking. Annoying attempt to sell us airport transfer at inflated price when we had just arrived and knew the (already inflated) price ! Hey Thailand!

Cons: We were there for New Year’s Eve The evening included very marginal entertainment and a fixed menu that was also marginal for almost 7400 baht pp (including service charges etc). Definitely would not recommend. We wanted to stay close and we should have gone out to a restaurant and come back for the fireworks at midnight. There are mosquitoes—not the resort’s fault—they do come by a spray your room and light citronella etc—but you should definitely pack bug spray.

Pros: The staff were the friendliest and most welcoming I have come across on any travels I have been on. The bungalow with a pool far exceeded my expectations with wonderful views of the gardens and sea in the background. The swimming pool was wonderful, the waves crashing in the sea so therapeutic and the breakfasts were fantastic.

Cons: The beach right in front of the resort was rocky. I would not swim there. But the neighbouring resort had a beach that was great and free to to use, so it wasn't a problem. The included breakfast buffet and restaurant food was uninspired but served it's purpose.

Cons: The location of the hotel means that there are very few options for other restaurants around, the local town (20 mins walk) didn’t have the nicest looking restaurants and having breakfast, lunch and dinner in the one place would get old if staying for longer than a few days. Nevertheless would highly recommend staying here, just good to be aware of this

Cons: The price on normal days is around 600 RMB, I booked during a peak time with twice the avg. price, but the level of F&B and serve does not get better as the price goes up, so it wasn’t the best value for money personally for this particular trip. I understand mosquito spray is part of the operation cost, but would appreciate if it’s not so over price and the charge is well informed. But I do want to check this spot again in a quieter month.

Cons: Nothing.The lack of nearby restaurants and shops while at times inconvenient is also the reason it can maintain its serenity and natural surroundings and so I wouldn’t change anything.Just factor in taxi costs if you want to venture out...but you’ll find after a day out you’ll want to come back to the quiet of the resort.

Pros: This resort is nice, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable and was one of the nicest rooms we had stayed at on our trip, our room had a lovely outdoor bath, the facilities are great, the pools are very nice and relaxing.
Cons: The food and drink prices were very expensive at this resort compared to what we had experienced while being in Thailand for three weeks, even at other resorts. The resort is located on a quiet side of Koh Samui which is nice when you want a secluded holiday (we were on Honeymoon), but it is far to go and explore and the shuttle does not run as often as it should and is sometimes fully booked, which means you need to get private taxis (return trip costs 800 bht). The beach is nice, but was not as beautiful as we had anticipated.

Cons: A bit old facility, Spa is not Professional for manicure ladies :(( so this one better choose some where else. Snake was found in the toilet of the beach, which was bit scary :( for kids would be ended in Trauma. The serving of the Fish in the restaurant is terrible was fall down on the dress of my wife :(( Coaching is needed for upgrading the level of the staff!!

But you can chill in front of the beach and enjoy the breeze! So much fun and relaxing Events in the hotel like New Year Eve is a fail. I paid 6,000 baht for two people for the buffet... the food is ok, Deserts are really bad, they could do much better things!!!! Only two welcome drinks, which we didn't like at all, the charge even for water.. so for what I paid 6K baht? The value for the money 2/10.. the events suit for 80 years old... they close the event at 10:00 PM !!! two hours before the new year! and the bar closed at 11:00 PM everyone was in SHOCK!... just shame, I don't understand the hotel... everything could have been much better! instead, It was fail... what's the problem to play music, open the bar until the 12:00+ and celebrate the new year. why turns everything off before 12 in the event of the New Year's Eve?! IS THAT A JOKE?!, The hotel has amazing facilities so why not use them, why strive for a minimum? We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights, $350 per night for the regular suite with the plunge pool... FOR SURE, no value for the money... they advertised as a luxury resort, which they wished to be. can't believe this how my vacation was in Koh Samui... Cocktails cost more than 350 baht, the same as in the U.S. 60 minutes massage cost 1000+ the New Year's Eve cost 6K+ with no drinks just regular food.. what's the problem do a package or make a big pitcher of Mojito... why to strive for zero! can't even express how disappointed I am! and how bad the evening was. worst New Year's Eve I have ever had.

Excellent festivities across Christmas Eve delicious (and huge) buffet, Christmas dinner and a fabulous “market night”. Lovely staff- so kind and friendly. Great pool facilities - happy hour cocktails in the pool- highly recommend. You won’t want to leave the resort!

Pros: As we arrived at Outrigger, we were welcomed with some amazing tea. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. It was my honeymoon and the resort and very cutely decorated the bed and everything. The rooms were extremely spacious, the food was delicious, and the resort in entirety was explicable. It is definitely one of the best resorts I've visited! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is heading to Koh Samui

The value for the money 2/10.. the events suit for 80 years old... they close the event at 10:00 PM !!! two hours before the new year! and the bar closed at 11:00 PM everyone was in SHOCK!... just shame, I don't understand the hotel... everything could have been much better! instead, It was fail... what's the problem to play music, open the bar until the 12:00+ and celebrate the new year. why turns everything off before 12 in the event of the New Year's Eve?! IS THAT A JOKE?!, The hotel has amazing facilities so why not use them, why strive for a minimum? We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights, $350 per night for the regular suite with the plunge pool... FOR SURE, no value for the money... they advertised as a luxury resort, which they wished to be. can't believe this how my vacation was in Koh Samui... Cocktails cost more than 350 baht, the same as in the U.S. 60 minutes massage cost 1000+ the New Year's Eve cost 6K+ with no drinks just regular food.. what's the problem do a package or make a big pitcher of Mojito... why to strive for zero! can't even express how disappointed I am! and how bad the evening was. worst New Year's Eve I have ever had.

Excellent festivities across Christmas Eve delicious (and huge) buffet, Christmas dinner and a fabulous “market night”. Lovely staff- so kind and friendly. The hotel has a very nice nature feel, and a beautiful coast to gaze at. Pros: As we arrived at Outrigger, we were welcomed with some amazing tea. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. It was my honeymoon and the resort and very cutely decorated the bed and everything. The rooms were extremely spacious, the food was delicious, and the resort in entirety was explicable. It is definitely one of the best resorts I've visited! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is heading to Koh Samui

Pros: Check in staff is very friendly and let us checked in earlier since we just had a long flight. The room is very clean. All facilities works well. The hotel staff sent luggage to room and basically do housekeeping every day. The breakfast is very nice with a lot of choices and food quality is good. The swimming pool is well maintained.

Cons: Our shower flooded when we used it. We told the staff about this. The issue was resolved within a couple of days. There was also an issue with some Asian chime going off every time we flipped any light switch in our room. Became annoying!

Cons: The rooms are extermly dirty with dead cockroachs and dust especially the bathrooms which smell of sewage and had black bacteria coming out of the fosets. Very tired and dated interior with A/C units that dont cool the room properly. Loud construction next door with alarms and drills going on all day and night. The sea was not swimable due tiny things that would bite you in the water. The staff heard our complaints and moved us to a pool villa but this was just as bad and dirty as the other room. Overal the hotel is more of a poor 3 star than a 5 star just not worth the money.

Cons: The only thing I do not like is upon check out, the lady by front desk did not show a good attitude, looks like we already finished stay so just want us to get out soon. So, some staff in the hotel should be trained to be more professional and polite. The Cave Spa looks nice but definitely overpriced. I do not feel any particular difference with the Spa on the street. In addition, we arrived 10 mins earlier than schedule time but they actually started 10 mins later than supposed to be because they are busy with other customers. So, the whole process is in a hurry, They kind shortened our scheduled SPA total time which I do not like it. Should be more punctual. The SPA staff should leave some privacy when guest is taking bath. The door is widely open and they did not knock the door before get in ! Very Inappropriate !

Pros: I often go here to wait for connecting ferries to my home island Koh Phangan and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. This time I stayed and the room was nice.
Cons: There was a strong, sickening raw sewerage smell in my bathroom which was disgusting. I had already unpacked my bag and didn’t realize how bad it was until after I had showered. After a long haul flight arriving from the EU at night, this was the last thing I wanted to deal with. I found the solution and reaction to my complaint by management unsatisfactory and this should have been dealt with in a more professional manner. Telling me I should be used to the sewerage problems encountered because I live here and that I should have got up and moved room is not good enough. The rooms should be checked before people arrive and it seems obvious to me they already knew about this issue. I was feverish this morning and was unable to eat breakfast which I’d already paid for which I was told was not refundable because I booked online. Be aware of this. The attitude of the management (non-Thai guy) was condescending and abrasive, I will not stay at this resort again purely because of his attitude towards me and their lack of appropriate solution to the problem.

The pictures tell a different story to what the rooms are actually like. Way overpriced..... Dark and depressing. Luckily you don't spend much time indoors. Air Conditioning never worked properly and dripped water down the walls of our room every night. Checked out early even though we had paid up front for the full stay. Wasn't worth the hassle of looking for refund.

Cons: The bathroom was old and has a mouldy sewage smell that you couldnt get rid of. The shower was either boiling or freezing cold. The toliet had a poor flushing system. The room was dusty and old.

Cons: The plumbing is terrible, the shower wouldn’t run away and the toilet and sink smelt. The air con was awfully loud meaning that it was difficult to sleep. Unfortunately the general feel of the hotel was a bit eerie and facilities need to be updated. I booked this hotel under the impression there was an airport shuttle as it was so close to Samui Airport, but there isn’t and it cost me a further 300 baht to pay for their transfer service. The cost of the room is too much. There are better and more comfortable facilities in hostels which are much cheaper.

Cons: Outdated, lots of run down broken stuff everywhere. Our key stopped working to get into our room 3 times in a day and a half. Very frustrating walking to the front desk to get it fixed to get into our room. They never apologized. Tv didn’t worked, although they advertised satellite tv. Air conditioner stopped working halfway through the night couldn’t sleep it was so hot. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Water stains all over ceiling. Restaurant was very unwelcoming/under construction . This all would have been okay if I was paying less then the $60ish a night it cost. Idk how it’s rated a 4 star hotel. We went to PS Thana next door for a little more a night and it is a hugeeeeeee upgrade/difference to our vacation. (And they are rated a 3 star hotel ?).

Cons: Facilities were verrrry tired. Bedrooms and bathrooms in particular in dire need of renovation. No shower! Just a tub with hand spray and not even a plug so you also couldn’t bathe. Also shortage of beach towels. Beach loungers were mouldy.

Cons: When we first saw the property it looked old and run down. The decor was of ancient Asia. Construction was being done to some rooms so they were in the process of upgrading. Some buildings looked abandoned. Not the fanciest place but fit in my budget and we were happy overall. In Thailand you get what you pay for in quality.

Cons: The property is worn down and dilapidated.. The buildings were actually crumbling down, and the decks around the private pools were rotten, coming away from the buildings and pools, broken in many spots, and had many exposed nails and screws to tear your feet on. At one time, this resort must have been quite the property. It definitely has the views and the nice rooms, but it has not been taken care of, and is in need of a major remodel! We were there for 12 days, and the breakfast was the exact same food selection every day, not impressive at all....Again, I want to commend the staff, as they were all very nice and helpful, and did all they could to make our stay as comfortable as they could, I beleive the problems with this resort is the ownership.....too bad!

Cons: The resort would’ve been amazing back in its day. Unfortunately it has dated and needs many repairs. The villa we stayed in was lovely, though our pool was missing some tiles and the patio was slightly dodgy. The staff were very accommodating, though their English wasn’t the best on the island. However, we all need to learn and begin somewhere don’t we. The breakfast was good, though it is titled an American breakfast and I would say it was more so accommodating to their Asian cliental. During breakfast the staff were helpful, though they could go that extra mile by getting the sauce when asked or providing serviettes ect. Whereas, we were told where to find the sauce ourselves. Overall a good stay, but not one of the best we have had. Thank you very much.

We've stayed both in a private pool villa and also just a balcony room, both were excellent- spacious, modern decor. The staff go above an beyond to make you feel welcome. ChongMon is a quiet area with some good restaurants nearby, and the beach across the street is a beautiful quiet bay. I would highly recommend this resort to couples looking for a romantic getaway, as well as families who want a great family friendly pool and location. We're already looking into booking our next stay at the Baywater <3

Cons: Firstly, the WiFi was terrible- the staff lied about why it was terrible 3x (once saying that it was due to the weather but it was sunny!?) Our first room wasn’t as clean, we found mould on the teabags, a cockroach, the tv channels didn’t work etc The pool was absolutely horrible- it was like green pond water. One of the reasons I booked the hotel was because of the beautiful pool that was shown in the pictures, we were so disappointed when we got there. When we went to complain about all the things mentioned above, the staff kept trying to give excuses as to why. They suggested all pool water in Koh Samui looked like that (which was not the case at all as all their private pools were sparkly clean) and that by putting chlorine into the water would make our skin burn!? We asked to be upgraded as I paid a LOT of money for all these things promised on their website which they failed to upkeep. They refused and said they had no rooms left (which was also a lie as the hotel was empty and we never saw another guest at any of their pools.) We were offered a refund which we would have happily taken but as Christmas was the next day nothing was available. Extremely disappointed with the hotel- staff and facilities- the price we paid over Christmas. Would not recommend.
