Pros: 5 star luxury throughout whole hotel !!! I would like to thank hotel management and all staff who looked after us for. Especially big thank you to reception desk team and manager, to all waitresses who were serving at 11th floor , on 2nd floor lounge and French restaurant in lobby area during our stay. We have had a wonderful time and will be back again,and again in the near future. My personal advise to future guests, would be : Upgrade your room to upper class and with a view ,and balcony. Extra money spent will be well worth !!! Either way I`m confident that you wont regret staying in this hotel , which is one of my favorites from now, (not just in Kiev ) Enjoy your stay !!!

Pros: Excellent staff, from concierge who recommended superb restaurants and touristic sites to the waiting staff in the lobby bar. Location was good for us and we had a lovely room. They made me some porridge with dried fruits which was delicious (it's the small things that count!).

Cons: The room was nice, not fancy, but clean and a good size. 4 elevators that are on separate circuits. Each stop on almost every floor on descent. Breakfast was very good. Excellent selections. During peak times, clear tables are difficult to find. Plenty of tables but the staff is very slow to clear empty used tables. If you need help from the front desk, don’t ask one of the ladies for help. All they can say (English of Ukrainian) is “come back tomorrow”. Ask one of the men at the desk for assistance. They are helpful. All the women working at the hotel appear to have an attitude. The men are very helpful. This is a $50-$60 a night hotel. Location is perfect.

Cons: Where to start. The room furniture and decorations was very dated. The bathroom clean and updated. The remainder of the hotel resembled Soviet Union appearance.Just a general appearance most everything does not work, old and outdated.
The free breakfast was ok if you are Ukrainian. Westerners would not find it satisfying. It is a Ukrainian kitchen. When it rains the water drips on the outside air conditioning units giving the feeling of sleeping in a Chinese prison camp.
The staff was acceptable but seemed to be indifferent. Everything cost extra with no coffee maker in the rooms.
If the want that good old day "Soviet" feel. This is a good hotel for you

Cons: room 19 was an armpit, but all other rooms were good except room 33 smelled of foul smoke live music from night club next door was a little loud during the night, but that did not bother us much
