Hotel staff were great: highly professional and friendly at every occasion. Reception at checkout showed patience and kept a remarkable (and very consequent) customer-centric behaviour when my preferred credit card bounced.
Cons: Nothing, really. Breakfast buffet offers everything you can think of eating, at great quality and taste. Their eggs menu deserves pride, just excellent! Still, the price comes a tad on the hefty side, compared to the going rates in the city/elsewhere, and I would have opted a bed & breakfast rate had it been offered.

You will love their shower and heated floors. The staff is always accommodating and so very helpful - and that, sincerely. Polished. My favorite part is still their amazing breakfast - the selection of food there is endless, it is high quality food, it‘s all freshly made and with love. We also had a dinner at the hotel’s restaurant - it’s not pre-made and then heated up for you like in most places, they actually cook it for you - I absolutely loved it. Dining there was also surprisingly affordable. They deserve to have 5 stars. We love it there.

Cons: The two out of three elevators that were working made difficult progress at busy times. On one occasion had to wait nearly 10 mins for one. Yes I could have used the steps but being on a high floor I’m not sure I’d be in any recommended condition if I used them.

Cons: I cannot name anything that I did not like!! The lifts are a little slow and the WiFi is not perfect...but not bad either!! A very nice hotel with a rich history and a wonderful, amazingly knowledgeable reception staff that can answer or provide you with anything that you ask!! I truly enjoy this hotel!!

Cons: The room was nice, not fancy, but clean and a good size. 4 elevators that are on separate circuits. Each stop on almost every floor on descent. Breakfast was very good. Excellent selections. During peak times, clear tables are difficult to find. Plenty of tables but the staff is very slow to clear empty used tables. If you need help from the front desk, don’t ask one of the ladies for help. All they can say (English of Ukrainian) is “come back tomorrow”. Ask one of the men at the desk for assistance. They are helpful. All the women working at the hotel appear to have an attitude. The men are very helpful. This is a $50-$60 a night hotel. Location is perfect.

Cons: Where to start. The room furniture and decorations was very dated. The bathroom clean and updated. The remainder of the hotel resembled Soviet Union appearance.Just a general appearance most everything does not work, old and outdated.
The free breakfast was ok if you are Ukrainian. Westerners would not find it satisfying. It is a Ukrainian kitchen. When it rains the water drips on the outside air conditioning units giving the feeling of sleeping in a Chinese prison camp.
The staff was acceptable but seemed to be indifferent. Everything cost extra with no coffee maker in the rooms.
If the want that good old day "Soviet" feel. This is a good hotel for you

Cons: Beautiful place, but the hotel is outdated. They need to spend more money in painting and upgrading the facilities. The place inside looks like something from the 60's. Breakfast was chaos and no signs or labels placed next to the food. So you pretty much eat without knowing whats in there. If you have allergies then, I'm sorry for your loss.

Cons: The rooms did not live up to our expectations at all. Don't be fooled by the pictures that you see here. The rooms are not as fresh or good looking as they seem on the pictures. Old and stained carpets. Disgusting smell in the room, like sweat mixed with old cigarette smoke. The bathroom was very smal and the toilet flush didn't work properly. Hardly any pressure on the sink tap. The celing in the bathroom was made out metal boards that had big gaps between them and you could see loads of dust and dirt between them and all around the celing. The shower curtain was extremly stained and dirty. The staff at the reception was extrembly bad. Not the slightest service minded. Didn't even look you in the eyes as you approach nor do they notice when you stand there waiting. One of them sat with her phone while I was waiting for help. Typical eastern Europe/former sovietunion standard. So I recommend you to avoid this hotel since you can find a lot better hotels for the same price or slightly more.

Cons: Staff is absolutely terrible, and lack the aptitude required to work in the hospitality industry. My reservation was cancelled, they claimed my CC was stolen (even though it's in my name and my passport matches it). After they realized their mistake, the manager hesitantly apologized and told me I can just rebook it in cash for a 10 percent off (which actually isn't a deal at all, considering the price is still higher than online). Worst part of all this?? The lady working in front WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION to this entire interaction between me and the manager, and so she denied me the discount and told me to book at full price (like 1.5 times the online price).

Just a corridor with with dirty and torn carpet, some strange people walkINT in the hallway, it looks just like a cheap hostel. The rooms themselves are pretty good. But the hotel as a whole looks very sad. A boiler flows in the bathroom, a puddle on the floor. If you are looking for a hotel, then this is not quite what you need. When leaving the hotel, the girl from the reception (on the 3rd floor) walks by herself to check the room (4th floor), and you stand and wait.

In addition our room was next to the reception which works all night long and we could hear all calls and talks. Lots of youngsters who prefer partying in their rooms instead of choosing some more appropriate places. The rooms with no windows and no ventilations - hard to breeze!!! When you wake up, hard to understand which part of the day it is. The last but not the least, the towels were may be of 20 years old and no hair- driers. Regret didn't read reviews before booking.

Pros: The hotel has excellent location and it's easily accessible. It's priced very well. Also, nice breakfast.
Cons: Last time I got a good room, but this time it was awful with an old bed and a horrible mattress that kept me waking in the night.

Pros: Good location at the end of Khreschatyk and few minutes walk from Maidan Nezalezhnosti. Good standard hotel... for end of XX century. Restaurant with great view on last floor. Few restaurants, gentleman club in the building. Helpful service, talking good in English.
Cons: Main problem was Wi-fi. I was on business trip and have constant problem with internet. Signal was bad, and transmission speed was so slow, that even voice transmission was a problem. 13MB PDF file was downloaded for more than 20 minutes. No chance for work in the hotel. Room was cold, leaky window, radiator in bathroom cold. No radiator in room, only heating by air conditioner but with not enough power. Breafast is very "Russian" in style. A lot of sweets and some "lunch" stuff like mashed potatoes, rice with vegies, hot meat, but not to much dairy or cold meat. Cheep toast bread.

Pros: The location was very convenient to city center, the included breakfast had a nice selection of good food. Facility was clean and well maintained. Staff was professional and courteous; I would book the hotel again if I return to the city.
Cons: I can't say that there was anything that I consciously identified as something I didn't like.

Cons: They lied. The water in the Swimmingpool is always cold. I mean really cold - 0 % warm. As they explained me, the water is always cold.

Pros: The hotel has it has a great location, good security, breakfast is good, has cleaned up image by removing strip club.
Cons: Beds are not that good, but no beds are good in Eastern Europe, also all of Ukraine uses central heat so fall in early spring rooms can be cold, but all hotels of be that way. Pool is smaller, but had to myself when I used it.

Pros:
Cons: Crazy behaviour of staff: after checkin and payment, they gave key of room to me. I left my belonging in room and immediately went out for dinner. When back, I found my belonging unattended at reception: they thought I did not pay.....so, they throw everything out of room. When their mistake has been cleared, my room had already been given to other guests. They gave me an ugly temporary room. I paid for 2 nights, but 1 has been enough: I changed hotel. Crazy!
