10,0 Excellent
Pros: Charming hotel, comfortable beds lovely breakfast, hospitable staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: La Vie en Rose! Maison de Lucie is a treasure! From the location, to the staff, to the garden, to the rooms, to the breakfast. The pleasant surprises were endless. It lies astride a wonderful little road up or down the hill, depending from where you approach. The staff, from the owner to the cleaners were pleasant, hospitable and friendly without exception. We had the pleasure of taking our breakfast in their eye-catching garden. Many passers-by cannot resist the urge to take a peek inside when coming upon Maison de Lucie. The room - we had the attic suite - covered the entire floor. Rustic, with wonderful rafters and a classic design it was a delight. An absolute delight. I believe I took a bath every single day, in the classic, spacious, cast iron tub. The breakfast was well stocked with pain, croissant, home made jam, honey, coffee and tea. Upon request delicious scrambled eggs or omelettes were cooked up by a smiling staff. This hotel is the top of the bill. Every day when we returned from our trips to the coast or country side, the staff would ask us how our day was and a pleasant conversation followed without exception. We will definitely return! Merci!

Pros: Charming boutique hotel in a residential area that was three minutes walk to the central old town and waterfront. Very quiet at night. I slept great. Staff were all helpful and friendly. I plan to return.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful hotel and tastefully decorated with a very friendly staff. It has a pretty patio setup with flowers and candles and was a welcome retreat after a long drive. The hotel is also well located off the waterfront. So it's quiet and a nice walk down old winding streets to the harbor.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the ambiance of this property, the grounds as well as the rooms. So much nicer than a hotel! The location was a short distance from the center of town so it was so peaceful and quiet on the property. My sister and family stayed here and recommended it to us. The owner remembered them. The owner was a pleasure to talk with and he was helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations!

A l'Ecole Buissonnière - Honfleur - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
A l'Ecole Buissonnière is centrally located in Honfleur, a 3-minute walk from Sainte Catherine Church and 5 minutes by foot from Eugene Boudin Museum. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The chambres d’ Hôtes is in a 17 C school for girls 3 minutes walk from the old harbor. The courtyard is quite beautiful and the breakfasts are excellent. Highly recommended.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at the main hotel to a friendly welcome and were escorted to the annex, which is approximately 0.2 miles away in a quiet area set in its own courtyard with private parking. We had booked two rooms and they were huge, beautifully furnished and with immense character, everything that we hoped for. They had a decent coffee machine, well appointed bathrooms and the owners Beagle puppy was so cute. Breakfast was taken in the main hotel and offered an excellent choice, once again served by friendly staff. If you are looking for a typically French hotel in a convenient position close to the town and port, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Cons: There are no negatives but we took my elderly mother who found the spiral staircase steep but manageable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location and charm
Cons: Spiral staircase in my room was exciting to maneuver.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing. Easy to walk to the beautiful, historical main sites. Very helpful staff.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The reconditioned old school is a delight. The owner and his family look after you so well. The breakfast is reasonable. The rooms are large and decorated in style. The location is central.
Cons: The stairs are rickety (it’s an ancient building, what do you expect?) but this didn’t bother us. The parking is quite a distance from the hotel. Ok if the owner is around to drive you there in his electric buggy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everythingk
Cons: coffee machine, but no big deal....
5,8 Okay
Pros: The owner was charming and helpful and used an electric buggy to take us to the car park and bring our luggage back to the hotel. The building is in a prime location and is literally one minute walk to the harbour. The premises has a lot of charm.
Cons: I’m not keen on bathroom areas with no door and toilets without a window or ventilation. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not serviced in between. I would have liked the option of clean towels and the bed made up. After all it was incredibly expensive to stay here and we felt this service should have been offered. The breakfast was the weirdest I have ever had. Hard boiled eggs, cake, cold pancakes to name a few.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location & helpful, welcoming owners.
7,5 Good
Pros: Funky - beautifully converted
Cons: Too many very steep steps
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and beautiful accommodation. Owners very polite and helpful

Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, amazing value for good quality accommodation.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good size room, nice and clean ,good parking, half hour walk into Honfleur
Cons: The area wasn’t what we expected, truck stop nearby, which is the walk into Honfleur not nice when you have to walk back at night time . Said truck stop is probably why there was certain comings and goings constantly in the room above us until 4am , so no rest for us ,just glad I didn’t have children with me and glad it was just one night .
7,1 Good
Pros: Was quote annoyed with the manager on the included bikes. Wanted to use, but apparently they need to be back by 11 am no exceptions. There is about 20 bikes. Did not see the issue...... bit he did.
Cons: Tile floors in the room were slippery and made the place look like we were in a washroom
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This motel suited our needs to perfection. We could park our car outside our room and the bed was one of the best I have ever slept upon. Everything was clean and well maintained and the lighting very good indeed. There was a table and chairs to sit just outside the room if you wished and if the weather had been better we would have liked to do that. The addition of a small fridge meant we could buy delicious French produce to take home on the ferry the following day. The staff were attentive, professional and very kind too!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money. Smallish room but clean.Good location for Honfleur
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Fabulous location, fabulous property and fabulous staff. Our room on the top floor was up 30 steps but worth every one - it was brilliant!! The breakfast was superb and served in a great room - can be outdoors in suitable weather. Madison was the perfect host - always smiling and willing to help. She was excellent at sorting the parking for our Land Rover. She made the stay really special - thank you Madison!
Cons: Nothing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying at this charming small hotel. Our windows overlooked a beautiful garden which was lighted at night. We had a nice sitting area, the bed linens were luxurious, a lovely rain shower in the bathroom, and a beautiful and delicious breakfast in the morning.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was a warm and welcoming place. Our room was private yet spacious. Our stay felt like a retreat ... very peaceful and comfortable.
Cons: There were no window coverings on the windows and it was bright in the room at night. I wish the room had a full length mirror. The mirror in the bathroom was inadequate as it was too high for me. I wish we could each have our own croissant at breakfast. We had to share the one croissant in our basket.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had the loft room which was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was wonderful!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property is an oasis inside the gate off the street. The gardens are stunning and welcoming. We stayed in the St Catherine suite-a spacious , beautiful and comfortable 1 bedroom suite with kitchenette and large bathroom. A little quirky entry : you go out a gate from the main building and enter through a private door off the street. The petit dejeuner setting is a lovely room with an outdoor patio. Selections were beautifully presented: fresh pastries, baguette, cheeses and ham, fruit, eggs to hard boil. Madison is a most generous hostess.
Cons: Nothing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Charming and cozy accommodation! Perfect for Honfleur.
Cons: Our room was at the top of some very challenging stairs. If I had known I would have requested a different room as I was traveling with my elderly mother.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was close to the harbor and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was good.
Cons: Our room was away from the main hotel in a different location, up a hill, away from town.

Pros: Great place to stay near Honfleur very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved that it was easy to walk or drive the 1 mile into Honfleur. The room is spacious and nicely furnished. We found it to be a very comfortable room and the breakfast was fresh and delicious.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was a last minute booking late in the day after a long drive. I best I can describe this accommodation is a barn conversion in the large garden of our host and extremely quaint. Our host, Jean was charming, personable and keen to help us explore without being intrusive. The apartment was a large space, warm and fully equipped. Along with a large bathroom stocked with toiletries. At Breakfast time, we had a lovely basket placed on our window sill full of lovely goodies including Pastel de nata's ! We were given an late check out too (Thank you for that). We were also able to park our car directly outside the apartment.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good size with fridge, microwave and coffee/ tea and breakfast provided in the room. En-suit and parking in front with level access. Dog friendly and helpful English speaking host. Good stop over to enjoy Hornfleur and surrounding area.
7,9 Good
Pros: The breakfast basket, delivered to our window ledge each morning, was delightful and plentiful! we loved the seclusion of the property, down a narrow drive between houses, it was a really peaceful haven after the hustle and bustle of beautiful Honfleur.
Cons: The ventilation arrangements. Despite the net curtain at the window, we found we had to close the window during the evenings to keep out the mosquitoes, so it did get rather stuffy. Some form of 'moustiquaire" would help.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was great to have breakfast delivered to our room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: There was nothing to dislike, everything was just as stated on the web site. The owner even came to find us after we had got lost, which was very kind. Nice breakfast, and a very comfortable bed, which was very much needed after travelling for hours in the car. Would not hesitate to recommend this B & B to anyone.
Cons: Everything was good
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had one night stop over after arriving on the 10pm ferry and the host was very good with allowing us such a late arrival. The bed was very comfortable and having the breakfast delivered to the room, whilst simple, was a nice touch. Only 20 minutes from ferry in a really quiet location. Would definitely recommend and use again.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Arrived very late but the host had prepared and left access to the room. The room itself was large had good facilities including a fridge, microwave, kettle and tv. Breakfast in the morning was a lovely surprise when opening the front door and had been assembled with thought. Met the host as we left and he was very friendly and chatty. Parking is directly by the access which was great.
Cons: Due to our late arrival it was very dark which made finding the accommodation difficult, also not helped by the house numbers having been changed recently and google maps have not been updated despite the hosts attempts. For those visiting drive further than you think and look for the house number on the concrete pillar, access is narrow and to be negotiated with care especially in the dark!!! Not the fault of the host!

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is charming and full of attention, really previous!
Cons: All things went well till the check out: I'd like to warm customers about the problem me and others customers meet at the check out. I have prepaid the room for 2 days before coming via booking and the reception/welcome services, did not notice it on the invoice, they make me pay twice for the stay letting me know that the have not registered my 1st payment in their account. Huge problem to get reimbursement. Really weird and inappropriate for a hotel of these standards.

Cons: Absolutely nothing, just perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent property, we booked this to visit Hornfleur & this was perfect for our needs, only 5-10mins drive away. Really nice couple, very friendly & helpfull, best breakfast choice (cooked eggs anyway we liked) we had in France & really good evening meals. Didn't use the spa but it looked very inviting.
Cons: No complaints, the lane to the property is small & bit confusing first time but keep going & you won't regret it.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Approach to property is a little challenging down a very narrow road with a very steep driveway at the end. The owners are lovely and provided a very warm welcome - their English is excellent. Good sized room with private seating area outside. Good sized bathroom. The restaurant was excellent with an uncomplicated menu and everything deliciously cooked to order. Breakfast was good too and as there is no where else locally probably worth paying the additional 11 euro per person.
Cons: No issues at all.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic stay at a really relaxing establishment. Amazing breakfast and food. The sauna, pool and hydro jets are a welcome bonus here, Would highly recommend.
Cons: All perfect.

Cons: Initial mixup with our reservation for a room accessible by elevator. Quickly resolved, but a bit worrisome since we had confirmed the access via booking.com. Pros: Pretty hotel although a little old fashioned. Fifteen minute walk to town centre. Good views if you pay extra and opt for a front facing bedroom.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful gardens, beautiful hotel
Cons: Smell of chlorine on ground floor from swimming pool in basement
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything to each and every little detail
5,5 Okay
Pros: The territory of the hotel is very nice, as well as spa, but nothing special. The hotel is overpriced and doesn’t worth it.
Cons: Toilet room and shower are very small, even for me who is small size, can’t imagine how plus size people can use it! Toilet and shower are old, need to be changed! When you take shower water comes out because there is gap between the door of shower and the wall, so when you come out have to clean wet floor which is not safe. Breakfast is 37 euro per Pearson what is too much overpriced for it, ever if you want omelet it extra 20 euro. It would be nice hotel if it cost 200 euro per night, but really don’t worth 370 per night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and amazing food!
Cons: Spa pool needs updating a bit.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location and stylish. Lovely spa and super comfortable bed.
Cons: However, a hideous smell of sewage greeted us in our room. It was a bathroom issue that was dealt with promptly, however the sense of this place was style over substance. And the unfortunate scent never really went - we stayed out of our room for most of the stay. Also... it was bare and lacked plugs and surfaces. Not very user friendly. Meanwhile, no desire to stay for dinner. The food was ridiculously overpriced - €80 for a main course? Necessary? Perhaps no wonder the desk team were so keen to book us in to what seemed a less than full dining room. The staff were perfectly pleasant but no real connection was made. We generally didn’t hang around and used the hotel as a base which was just fine. Wouldn’t repeat though. Not one for us
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was beautiful and in a great spot on a hill with a view. The food was delicious. Our room was amazing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: History and soo beautiful interior just like in a vogue mag
7,9 Good
Pros: Amazing beds and property. Great history and touches. Hermes toiletries and French linens. Beautiful gardens.
Cons: Snooty wait staff, slow service and outrageously priced food and drink. One night we asked to just get a dessert and were told we had to do it as room service which only offered cheese platter. We were told breakfast was included and when we checked out we were charged 64 euros a day for it and that we were mistaken. It was a lovely, but I could think of a better use of 64 euros. The front desk staff was very helpful. I felt like we were treated as a second class staff for using booking.com as our reservation manager. There are lots of options in Honfleur at a better price. Go for a drink

Pros: We loved the rural setting. The accommodations were rustic chic. The dinner and lunch we had were beautifully prepared and delicious.
Cons: It was extremely hard to find, even with GPS. There are not activities in the near vicinity. Our toilette room had a problem with sewer gasses leaking into the space so we fought that for two days. There is no shower...gotta sit to bathe. There is no cell service.

Overview Reviews
Located close to the Pont de Normandie and highway intersections, the Mercure Honfleur hotel benefits from a central location in the historic heart of the city, just 2 hours from Paris. This seaside hotel has modern, air-conditioned rooms. After a day exp loring the city, enjoy the modern decor in the hotel bar lounge. Stroll around the old port or relax in one of the many restaurants that are within walking distance.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable and we slept really well there. Our room was quiet even though we were so close to the centre and overlooked a busy road. There was plenty of secure parking behind the hotel. It was only a short walk to the old harbour and lots of restaurants. It did appear possible to order bar snacks but we did not choose to. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, and the staff were helpful. It was nice to have a fridge in our room (with complimentary water) where we could store milk for tea, and a kettle..
Cons: We were given a room with a disablity bathroom although we had not requested one, and initially saw no reason to object. However, the wet room floor proved extremely slippy and nearly caused a fall. If we had actually been disabled, no doubt we would have used the seat provided but we were ignorant of the danger and unwary. There was remarkably little storage space in the room - no drawers and the clothes rack was not high enough to hang up a dress. When I inquired, I was told that all the rooms are similarly equipped as regards storage space, so that wasn't because it was a disability room. Although it was nice to have a kettle in our room, there were only little paper cups provided.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location, the amenities were great, the staff were lovely and polite. Nice and clean and easy access to the main areas.
Cons: Nothing, it was fantastic!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location a 5 minute walk to the harbour. Secure parking to the rear of the property an extra 10 euros but cheaper than the car park opposite. Very clean and comfortable with helpful staff on reception.
Cons: Small paper cups instead of crockery for the tea/coffee. However I expect if you requested some from reception it wouldn't be a problem.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Closely located to Honfleur Center
Cons: Carpets in the corridor and in the room are outdated and do not look fresh.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: very clean, quiet room and really comfort bed, private parking with 8 euro bill is exceptable (to reserve), the location is just 5 min walking distance fr hotel to main tourist attraction, full of bar, restaurants, be aware that in France supermarket and shops closing fr 13-15 pm. we missed the chance to buy some nice survenier from town.
Cons: the pillow were very soft and low (for some people who prefer high and strong pillow, the toilet is very close to the wall which you have to adapt to it.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location, friendly staff, car parking.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location. 10 min8walk to restaurants and bars.
Cons: Lack of food options. 1 member of staff was frosty (pregnant)

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was better than usual Premiere Classe standard and featured croissants as well as the usual bread and brioche. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a good stay.
Cons: External floodlighting was defective and flickering all night, which was a bit irritating. Shower fitting was loose so you couldn't direct the shower without holding the handle.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Where do I start had we have known it was so tiny would not have entertained it. Literally one step in the door and you meet the bed, you have to go sideways passed the bed as so narrow and small. One step from the bed into the toilet and bathroom which was smaller than one you would find in a caravan. There was no room whatsoever for a suitcase ANYWHERE. The pillows were lumpy the bed was hard, managed to get ONE extra pillow and the whole miniscal room was tired beyond belief. and needs a huge makeover. I would not have had it had it been half the price. Had to put our hand luggage on top of the third bunk bed which was not convenient at all. Not enough room to swing a cat.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Clean, cheap
Cons: Booked for 3 people, towels provided for only 2
7,5 Good
Pros: Cheap, clean rooms, easy check-in, a bit way from city centre, but still walking distance. Good parking space.
Cons: Just what you expect of a budget hotel: small rooms, thin walls, tiny breakfast room.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Room was very small and shower so tiny we had to shower with the curtain open. Pillows were atrocious.
10,0 Excellent
