"Sorry, no cars"Pros:Their Twitter support was helpful. Otherwise nothing nice to say.Cons:They called the morning of my rental to say they would have no car for me. No offer for any alternative or even a refund for my prepaid rental. I had to make a series of calls and get a hold of someone through their Twitter support to get them to agree to issue a refund (still pending for 10-14 days), which should have been their very first step. They had shockingly little interest in helping me get a car or my money back. I paid more over at Enterprise for a great experience and will continue to do so. Declined chargeCons:No after hour business drop box for keys- have to turn in to Concierge employee. I dropped off car same night it was rented 20th, then I find out per email, I was charged for returning late on the 23rd, and also charged for heavy smoke in vehicle!!! Very upset about declined charge $561. to card & the amount for being late/ heavy smoking!!!!!! I should have had employee swap the car out(we were running late)he drove it to me and took pictures per new Manager. He smelled the smoke just as we had,never have I had this happen!! Still waiting for refund,minus car Insurance,since this vehicle was prepaid!!!!!!Reviewed Oct 31 2017

Only talk to Trent if you rent a car from here!!Pros:Everyone that worked here was checked out and didn't seem to care about customer service, except Trent. To make matters worse the 'regional manger' there texting on his phone, not helping people in line waiting. Trent saw we needed help with an issue with our rental car and immeditaely stepped up, re did all our paper work, and explained everything we needed to know about renting a car (this was our first experience). Thanks Trent, we will be back to this location because of you!!Cons:Impersonal employees, lazy regional manager, employee (Morgan) did not explain what rental insurance was well enough and the car I rented was parked less than an inch away from the 1.5 foot high curb. Morgan did the walk around and never offered to pull the car out since it was so close- we couldn't even see if there was any damage done to that side since it was parked so close but we all figured it was ok. The car was scratched while I was pulling it out and since Rental insurance wasn't exaplined to me I have to pay out of pocket for damages. I had to get another car. Hertz explanation was 'yeah it was really close'. This is where Trent came in to help us out and we re rented a car with rental insurance after he throughly explained it to us, thanks again Trent!Reviewed Nov 12 2016

Horrible customer experience.Cons:There wasn no car available when I arrived the Tucson Oracle location. The staff said that he tried to call me but my phone was not on the record. My phone # was on my email payment receipt. The staff said there may be returns late the same day and next day. I kept calling for 3 days and with no success. I told him that I'm in Tucson because my house was completely burgalized including the bathtub. I needed a car badly to go to the police and picked up the pieces and please put me on the priority. The staff was totally unapologtic and rude. He told me that "you and the other people" and proceed to show me the long customers waiting list. It tells that they are oversold. I ended up losing 3 days of valuable time. By the second day, I knew that I was not getting anywhere with Hertz. There was no attempt to make amend. Their customer service made me felt like getting another kick to my stomache. I'm spending more than double the amount because of last minutes car rental and Uber fares. what a deal!Pros:Driving home with my daughter from her junior year of college, her car loaded with most of her earthly possessions. An hour or so from Albuquerque she wakes me up saying the car is acting strange. No warning lights, nothing. I drive for several more hours.......finally its consistently bad, so we have to pull over 20 miles south of Tucson, get it towed, and get the verdict........transmission is blown, almost what she paid for the car to replace. Forget it. Check rental car prices, $36 included taxes, unlimited mileage, any size car,, from Tucson to San Jose. I blink and check again, yep, right price. We rent a SUV, cram her stuff in there, and we drive home in luxury and confidence. What a blessing and answer to prayer. Thank you Hertz!Reviewed May 12 2018

Pros:The fuel purchase option offered by Hertz helped us to maximize our contact hours in Tucson. We were allowed to bring the rental vehicle back as close to empty as we felt comfortable with.Cons:Perhaps more of the dialogue throughout the rental process could be focused on explaining the value of the fuel purchase option. Although veteran travelers such as myself are (of course) already aware of this service, novice renters may not be quite as privy to this information.
