Pros: I was pawned off on another companies staff because Alamos desk was empty. That was the first sign of poor service. They had no interest in satisfying me whatsoever. They site to substitute a tiny Toyota Corolla for my requested midsize car. When I rejected that I was forced to upgrade and they wouldn’t even cover my upgrade cost. I got stuck with a large daily charge.Cons: Have someone at your desk who knows it’s important to satisfy the customer. I’ll never rent from Alamo again because of this experience.

Pros: No one wanted to help me out ,i made a reservation because my flight was canceled and they did not want to give me a car because i was taking it to texas so they proceeded to help evry other customers with cars and then they made me wait longer for cars to come in and they had plenty of cars ,horrible experience i will not be coming back due to this and when i tried to call the branch i couldnt get ahold of no one to nake a change

Pros: Car was maintained. No issues there.Cons: I arrived at 9:30PM'ish local time and the counter was closed. A Hertz agent mentioned that I can find the office people outside in the parking lot (Temperature around 40F). I didn't find anyone at the Enterprise booth, it was closed! I stumbled over the entire rental car parking lot and found an open booth. The Enterprise people happened to be there with other car rental agencies. I had to pay extra for a smaller car. Which I found ridiculous.

Pros: The staff was friendly and efficientCons: I had rented a compact SUV and received a stripped down bare necessity Hyundai which did not even fit 2 suitcases in the back. We drove it fir 2 days, but it was not comfortable and gave my husband a sore back. We drive it back to Enterprise to get a better car. Was charged $11 more per day, but at least the ride was comfortable. I do not know why they have the other car part of their fleet. Disappointing!

Cons: Well for starters when you rent a car from a 3rd party site apparently they don’t tell you about all of the charges. That’s how they make it seem so cheap. Then when I got the car shortly there after I got a flat tire not a huge deal except that I waited on hold with roadside assistance for over an hour trying to get to talk to anyone and never got through. At the same time my fiancé was calling every enterprise (because dollar and enterprise are the same thing apparently) and all of the stores went straight to voicemail. Finally we gave up and I put the donut on (can’t even get a full-size spare) and drove back to the location that I got the car and had to swap it out for another one. This put a solid 4 hour delay in an already very very long trip with a temperamental 4 year old in the backseat. Then when I returned the car I got hit with an extra $80 in taxes and fees which according to the first receipt I had already paid. And to top it off I still haven’t gotten my security hold back...

Cons: The vehicle rented, J15, was in need of repair. There was a noticeable oil leak with oil burning smell throughout the day. The car’s transmission has slippage and shifting issues when accelerating onto the highway. The car would likely break down soon and needs repair before returning to the rental pool.

Pros: The car was clean, they found our reservation pretty quickly, car was ready to go without a delayCons: We payed $5/day for the next-best upgrade so we would have larger doorway to get in and out of after surgery. We were given the lowest base model. Employee at Hertz was very unhelpful and not empathetic at all, stated that unless we book directly with Hertz we cannot be sure what sort of car we will get except for a category. He also stated he had no cars of that model at this time... then we saw one two cars down from the car we rented. We felt a bit jipped ($25 extra for nothing), and somewhat blatantly so. And we didn't get the easier entrance to the car doors, unless we were to pay even more... which we were not disposed to do.

Pros: NothingCons: I made a mistake and reserved the car though your app for the wrong date and ended up renting a different car directly from dollar rental for the day i needed it. Funny thing is... The price was the same as the "special rate" you were offering. After calling your customer service, they said they couldn't do anything for me because I purchased the rental at your "special rate". I even proposed giving me a credit towards my next rental since I'll be traveling again this month, but was told that wouldn't make a difference because the original agreement or your "special rate" didn't allow for that. Guess that's what you get when you throw a middle man, like Kayak into the mix, things just get complicated for no good reason. I won't make that mistake again. I'll just go straight to the source and get the same price!

She was able to bring it down to the original price but it actually should have been less since we brought it back early.

Pros: The fuel purchase option offered by Hertz helped us to maximize our contact hours in Tucson. We were allowed to bring the rental vehicle back as close to empty as we felt comfortable with.Cons: Perhaps more of the dialogue throughout the rental process could be focused on explaining the value of the fuel purchase option. Although veteran travelers such as myself are (of course) already aware of this service, novice renters may not be quite as privy to this information. Hertz allows you to bring back the tank as close to empty as you are comfortable with.

Cons: When we arrived to pick up the car, the equivalent sedan wasn’t ready, and we were offered an “upgrade” to a tiny Buick Encore. We asked for a Malibu or equivalent, and had to come back in 2 1/2 hours, and received a Ford Fusion that was nice. The people were friendly and helpful, however.

Pros: Staff let me look at the car first before signing for it to ensure it was what I needed/wanted. Car turned out to be exactly what I needed for my family's vacation.Cons: Key FOB had issues; frequently go notice that remote was not detected, did not allow keyless entry and sometimes the keyless locking didn't work, had to be very close for the FOB lock/unlock to work (replacing battery had no effect).

Did not have the car we requested, or even similarCons: Requested midsize suv or similar. All they had was large suv or minivan. I had 86 year old mom with me and that’s why I did not want something that was hard for her to get in and out of. I also had her walker, so needed car larger than compact. We also had three people and three suitcases. At the desk, they kept telling me that I’m getting an even BETTER deal by getting a bigger car, but I was promised a midsize or similar and that’s what I should have received. We had to take the minivan, but my mom spent the whole week struggling to get in and out of the seat. I would like some sort of refund for all the trouble we had and a promise broken.

Pros: NothingCons: I had to worst experience with this transaction. I entered the dates for my rental incorrectly. I needed Thursday to Sunday. I made a mistake and entered Friday to Sunday. I realized it right away and tried to contact you. Of course there was no way to contact you. Since you book through PriceLine I finally got in touch with them. They were NO help at all. I simply wanted to add one more day to my rental. I wanted to PAY MORE MONEY to add one more day and they would not help me at all. Their only optioins were to cancel and pay a cancellation fee of $49 or keep the rental, create a new booking for the one day, pick up that car, bring that car back the next day and pick up the other car. Absolutely ridiculous! I ended up just cancelling. And I will never use your service again. I'd rather pay more than go through this again.

Pros: The price was good for a day rental split between the seven of us using the mini-van for the day.Cons: I've rented many cars before and the staff person was pretty blase and didn't explain pretty normal things to explain well. For example, as he handed me the receipt he just, here's your total, with the deposit.". Now, I know how a deposit for a rental works, but let's say you didn't, let's say it's your first time. What I've heard other associates say in the past is, "You'll notice a deposit of $200. You'll see this on your credit card balance, but once you return the car, this amount will go back on your credit card with 1-3 business days, so no worries, we aren't charing you $200! This line here is your total." It's little details like that. Another example: He offered us the option of two different models of mini-vans. Not being familiar with mini-vans I asked for his opinion/suggestion. He said, "I'll put you the Chrysler,". I said, "Oh, any particular reason?" He just kinda looked at me and said, "Well, it's a mini-van, like you wanted, right?" Um...I was hoping to hear, "Oh, I like the Chrysler better because it has more leg room," or "they're both comparable vehicles, so I think you'll like either," SOMETHING! He totally didn't have customer service 101 down. It did seem he was there by himself, in which case he could say, "I'm sorry I'm going through this so quickly with you, I'm here alone today, and I have all these people to help, so I'm just trying to help you as efficiently as possible,". He just didn't seem like he understood customer serivce. Also, I notice that almost all rental car places don't disclose important info to check BEFORE you rent: Cost of adding a driver (even though when I called I said I wanted to do that and they said, "yes we can do that) but price was never mentioned, can you leave your own vehicle there or not (not all rental cars will allow that!), etc. This is a general complaint to the enitre industry.

Pros: I didn't like anything about my experience. For one I was never able to pick up the car Becuz I do not have a credit card TWO the payment was taken out of my account regardless that I was never able to pick up a car. I would really REALLYA LIKE the payment reversed from my account IMMEDIATELY. The money should have never been taken from my account in the first place. So I need to reversed immediately. Thank you.Cons: It could have been better if I was allowed to pick up the car since the payment was already taken.

Pros: carCons: customer service rep lacked a courteous and helpful attitude, no one told us if we dropped off after 5 to go to airport direct instead of off site drop, no one went over hours at all
