Pros:The first car smelled like smoked and I was able to quickly get another car.Cons:I called a couple of days before mentioning I wouldn’t be able to pick up the car till the next day. As I wouldn’t be able to park the rental anywhere for the night. I asked if the charges would be the same and the person I spoke to said they would be able to fix the charges once I got there. The person I spoke to said they would make a note of it. Once I get to Hertz the person who is present says there isn’t a note. The person isn’t pleasant as I try to figure out what is going on. I am charged the same amount as if I picked it up the night prior. Overall experience at hertz lacked customer service.Reviewed Jul 21 2020

Cons:Hertz employees not wearing masks, car was dirty on the outside and I was not convinced that it had been properly sanitized and disinfected prior to me driving it. I brought my own Lysol and wipes and had to clean it down in order to give myself some peace of mind.Reviewed Jul 12 2020

Drop - Off IssuesPros:The car was sound and safe.Cons:When when I called a Alexandria, VA Hertz I told the gentlemen I was running late (about 11:40) I expressed my concerns for being charged an extra day and fees. He said I would not as long as it’s dropped offs. He mentioned he would be in the office Sunday. In addition, I called the Hertz toll free customer service while at the drop-off location to further explain. They only recommended dropping off the keys and recording the mileage on the rental agreement. My main concern is being charged additional days and fees.Reviewed Apr 22 2018

Everything was quick and convenientPros:Alex checked me in quickly and the car was perfect for my needs. He offered the pre-paid gas at a very competitive price, which I took him up on and was a great call. Drop off was also just as smooth and fast. never got the carCons:pick up time was selected at 6pm, but they closed at 6pm (no indication on kayak this was the case). Arrived a few minutes before 6pm, but they were closed. had to rent another car from somewhere else last minute on a holiday weekend.. hertz wouldn't get us another car from a different location without charging extravagantly, so they said they would refund me, but still hasn't yet.Reviewed Jul 7 2017

Cons:I always chose Hertz for rent a car and all times everything was okay, but after last time I'm so disappointed. Car which I got was broken. When I picked up the car everything was okay, and then when I started my trip during the night I heard terrible noises, I looked under the car and I saw broken piece of plastic. So together with my friend we found another Hertz location to change the car, and we waste our time. I usually doing a long trip so better is get a good car, not broken. Im really sad about this situation.Reviewed May 9 2017
