Pros: We arrived early from an international flight, well before the scheduled check-in time. The staff receiving us at check-in was very kind and gracious to not only allow us to check-in but upgraded us to the corner suites as those were the only available rooms to allow us to rest and recharge. Overall, the friendly team of staff was what made the trip the most memorable.

Pros: The hotel is a beautiful old building with a lovely courtyard with tables where you can eat or drink. Having breakfast in the courtyard under the tree was nice. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and courteous. There is a tram stop a few minutes walk away which takes you straight to the Hauptbahnhof. I hope we can visit again soon.

Not a problem for the very friendly staff, accommodating, even offering me free drinks, help with my luggage. Such a contrast to my experience at the other hotel. Tons of shops, great food and drink locations nearby as well along with their restaurant. The staff was amazing! I had a slight issue with my flight to leave the city and they made calls for me to get past the German automated systems which was a lifesaver! Everyone on the staff was incredible and I highly recommended this hotel.

When I booked I asked for a room with pleasant view and we were given the construction site view. Overall the stuff showed they don’t care at all about guests experience.

Our room was overlooking a building site which start making a lot of noise at 08.00 in the morning, no body told us about it, and it was very disturbing. If we knew we wouldn’t have taken the room, as we arrived late evening we couldn’t know about it.

Cons: Air conditioning in the room wasnt great (avant garde loft)even when on maximum however the weather was very hot 33/34 degrees so the bedroom area was very warm especially as its all glass. A few of the lightswitches did not appear to work in the apartment but did not cause a problem.

Cons: The staff kept hounding me for my "voucher." I explained that I booked through Kayak and there was no voucher. I showed them my receipt, emailed them the receipt twice and printed the receipt out and gave it to Laura on the second night of the stay. Then, when I check out, they ask me for the voucher again! I get back to the U.S. and get an email from them...wanting the voucher. I expect that they'll charge me twice for the room and I'll have to do a charge back through my credit card. The beds are not fit for human consumption. P.S. a "double" room does not mean two beds - it means that you get a room that does not have the toilet and shower completely open!? They charged us 40 euro/night for a roll-away.

Then, I find out that the hotel hasn’t received any information and that they needed me to let them know before hand upon check in. This forced me to have to leave earlier than expected. Pros: I visited during an expensive week in Frankfurt, so price was ok and I liked the chilly atmosphere inside. The room was nice and clean and I liked the “industrial” design of it, other than the one staff member, the rest were nice and helpful.

Pros: Other than being in the red light district (with a bunch of drug addicts on the streets), the hostel is in an great location. It is easy to find from the train station, and it is easy to walk everywhere that was needed (or to the metro to go further afield). Their breakfast was also fantastic! Available until noon, and all you can eat, I regularly spent my mornings relaxing and enjoying the common area. My private room was very comfortable. Security is good.

Cons: One staff member, the guy with the long hair, who handed me my room key was especially rude and terrible. He was already being rude, rolling his eyes, and had a tone with the people in front of me on the line. I booked a private double room since I wanted the privacy and I was having a friend coming over to visit at my room, and I simply asked him if he can let my friend come up directly or if I would have to come pick him up from reception, and he directly said that it would not be possible, visitors are not allowed and I should not invite anyone. I insisted, pointing out that my room has the same price whether I’m alone inside or with another person, but he rudely insisted and repeated himself that this was not possible, I insisted back and then he said he can “make me an exception”, which’s still rude since it should not be an exception if I am paying for this anyways. When my friend arrived, he was as rude to him and asked him for his ID, then told him he will be keeping his ID with him and he must pick it up when he leaves again. Terrible staff member and so unfortunate given the place itself was nice and chill.

It is easy to find from the train station, and it is easy to walk everywhere that was needed (or to the metro to go further afield). Their breakfast was also fantastic! Available until noon, and all you can eat, I regularly spent my mornings relaxing and enjoying the common area. My private room was very comfortable. Security is good.
Cons: As I mentioned, it is in an area that is full of drug addicts, however, as it is close to the main train station, most of the other hostels are also in this area, and they secure the doors.

Cons: I didn’t like location of hostel, it’s placed on the street of “red lights” and it’s dangerous enough to be on the road back at the night. One night I even heard the shooting of drug addicted gang, it was sooo unpleasant and unsafe. It’s better not to travel with children there.

Cons: The hotel doesn't have air conditioners in rooms. If the weather is warm at night, you have to open the window and try to sleep in the noisy neighborhood(Bahnhofviertel). The furniture in the rooms is old, and unfortunately some guests in the hotel have behavioral disorders(a drunk man started the fire alarm at midnight, and we all had a nightmare with firefighters and ambulance)

The bathroom was well stocked and clean; the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The street outside the hotel was quiet (which is important as the window needs to be open in warm weather as there is no AC). Location was awesome: very safe, quiet, pretty area, across the street from the metro and zoo, with stores and restaurants not too far away.

Pros: Good location, very close access to all kinds of public transport, cafe, pizza hut, donar shop, icecream shop and super market. Very friendly staff and nice German breakfast.
Cons: We were provided with silent room as per our request, however it was not non-smoking room. The room, the wall the sheets and blankets everything had a horrible smell of cigarette smoke all the time.

Pros: For what you pay for, the accommodations were fantastic. Room, fridge, TV, elevator were all small, but functional. The bathroom was well stocked and clean; the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The street outside the hotel was quiet (which is important as the window needs to be open in warm weather as there is no AC). Location was awesome: very safe, quiet, pretty area, across the street from the metro and zoo, with stores and restaurants not too far away.
Cons: The hallway outside the rooms is loud (stone floors with poorly insulated room doors); this was not a major issue as there was not a lot of hallway traffic, but some may be disturbed by it.

Pros:
Cons: I am an experienced traveller, and always inspect my room upon arrival. Upon checking behind the headboard of the bead, I three small, white, multilegged bugs (_not_ bed bugs, but nasty nevertheless and very much alive) along with a seeming lifetime's worth of dead skin flakes and other grotesque signs that this place had not been cleaned in ages. Took one of the bugs to the front desk in a tissue, said I wasn't comfortable staying in a place this unclean, and asked for my money back. They offered me another room, but I really didn't want to stay there. In the end, they refused to refund my money. Don't go to this place.

Pros: The hotel is easily accessible by public transport and well connected to the airport. The rooms and bathroom have nice floors, the furniture is fairly new, curtains block out light entirely.
Cons: Staff did their job, weren’t particularly welcoming neither unfriendly though. There was considerable mold under the sink near the shower, the walls were extremely marked, some big dust bugs under the bed, but superficially it was quite clean. Had a room on the first floor facing the street. It was extremely loud until late and then again noise from street started early in the morning. I would say that the “soundproofing” that is noted on booking.com is inaccurate. I was disturbed by the continuous sounds from the street even though windows were shut close. The fact that there is neither air con nor a fan may become a major issue during hot nights. I was a bit troubled by the heat.

Pros: The staff and the facilities are great, I think it is a great value for the price and it is in a great location, just a few meters from the zoo, so everyone can point you in the general direction if you are lost, easy access to the tram and subway sistems, many grocery stores just a few meters away and the night is quiet.
Cons: I can't complain about about anything, and I think it was the best option for me to get here, everyone was very polite and helpful.

Cons: the room was directly in front of a street witha lot of traffic. You could not sleep with the window opened, but it was not too hot so it was ok in the end. Also personally i sleep always with headphones in my ears, so I did not hear anything.
