Everything about the Kingfisher Townhouse was 'grand' and made for a great trip to Dublin! The hotel itself was very good and can't fault anything (nice touch also that upon arrival we found Valentines choccies/wine in the room!) Having the restaurant below the hotel was also a great benefit! The location was great, a 15-minute stroll down to Temple Bar! All in all, would I recommend this hotel or stay again - yes I would!
The location was great easy access to the whole city. The breakfast (which was included in room rate) was fantastic. The value for dollar was great as well, not many clean good places with great food for around $100 a night.
The room was a bit small and shabby. It appeared they recently replaced the radiator (heating system) but didn't fill in the holes where the previous one was mounted to the wall, they did not paint this spot either. There was a bit a road noise from outside.
Breakfast in the restaurant was really good. Location was central but just far enough away from the crowds of Temple Bar. Reception staff were lovely and helpful when our original plans fell through. Rooms were modern and clean too.
The location in Parnell street is perfect. There is a car park available for €15 per day, so you can just leave the car at the hotel and walk the city. Breakfast is only from 9 am, but it is really worthwhile to have a late breakfast in the adjoining Kingfisher Restaurant. I liked the coffee and tea facility and bottles of water in the room. The lady at reception needs to come with you and open the underground parking when you leave, but she does it with a beautiful smile.
The room was a bit cold on arrival, but after I turned the (electric) heating on, all was comfortable. The bathroom smelt a bit mouldy because there was no heating in it. You have to go next door for breakfast.
Beds excellent. Food 100% Everywhere spotless Staff so friendly Location perfect
