Book Dollar hire cars in San Antonio

• What is the best place to pick up my car after I book Dollar car rentals in San Antonio?

By far, one of the most convenient places to pick up your rental car in San Antonio is at the San Antonio International Airport (SAT). The reason for this is that Dollar has a great location in the consolidated car rental facility of the airport. To get to their location from the terminal building, all you have to do is take the escalator or the elevator to the mezzanine level of Terminal B at the airport and then walk right across the very convenient sky bridge. Once you have visited the customer service counter, your vehicle will sit right outside in the adjacent parking lot.

• What are some of the best places to park my car after I book Dollar car rentals in San Antonio?

If you are going to be exploring some of the many destinations and attractions in San Antonio, you will find plenty of free places to park on the street in the outskirts of San Antonio or at major destinations such as theme parks in the area. As you travel into the downtown area, you will find that there are many spaces on the streets that charge a fee for parking. The good news for travelers is that many of these spaces have pay stations rather than parking meters. That means you can pay for your parking using a credit or debit card, or you could even use the city's mobile parking app to pay for your parking.

• Are there going to be any especially difficult driving conditions in San Antonio?

Like a lot of major American cities, travelers who book Dollar car rentals in San Antonio will most likely find some difficult driving conditions during the morning and the evening, especially around the downtown area and on Interstate 10, 35, and 410. If you plan on visiting very popular destinations in the downtown area, including The Alamo, and the San Antonio Zoo, you will find some difficult driving conditions near these areas on weekends and holiday periods when visitors flock to these destinations.

The man that checked us in at the airport was very friendly and quick. The price was cheaper than the other rental places for a 7 passenger vehicle. However, after drop off there was $17ish dollars added to the total which I am unsure what for as we had filled up the gas completely right before returning and we were before the drop off time.Reviewed Sept 29 2024

They initially claimed that we dropped the car off two full days after we actually did. I was able to get the charges removed, but it was quite a hassle of calling phone numbers and eventually having to drive down to my nearest Dollar location.Reviewed Apr 13 2024

My vehicle was not there. Argued with an attendant for an hour about a vacant spot my vehicle was SUPPOSED to be at. Not once in 2 and a half hours did they mention you need a credit card and a $500 deposit till after I signed the agreement. Counter staff rude AF.Reviewed Mar 13 2024

I called to inform them that my 11:00 p.m. arrival had been delayed for ten minutes and I expected that I would be to the counter by 11:20 p.m. The agent responded that I had not provided my flight number, so they would close at 11:00 p.m. So, I paid for a day's rental I did not receive and was left without transportation. Also, my reservation did not inquire as to my flight number, so very disappointing. If I had not paid in advance through Kayak, I would have cancelled the reservation. Therefore, I am unlikely to use Kayak in the future.Reviewed Jan 11 2024
