Booking was easy….simple and received an car upgrade. I like the fact that I didn’t have to drive to the airport to pick up and drop off the car rental.

they had the reservation off site far from airport and would not accept reservation at airport location. Cost $100 to cancel reservation!

When reserving a car at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, the site listed a suburban rental location as "Cleveland" instead of Beachwood OH. This caused me to misunderstand where I was booking the car and therefore, a car was not reserved for me at the airport on a Friday night. At the Hertz customer service counter at the airport, I had to call Hertz customer service, cancel the reservation and rebook it. There were no cars left and I ended up taking a Buick SUV that was not cleaned or reviewed for body damage, which was extensive.

I never received a rental vehicle because their policy required I pick it up within a two hour window; which I was unaware of. When I went to pick it up, they were out of vehicles. This was not clearly communicated.

Please be aware that if you need to make changes that is VERY difficult and frustrating. Both companies blame the other and neither one has any customer service.

When I first arrived at the rental counter at Cleveland/Hopkins airport, the clerk informed me my rental had been made at another Cleveland location miles away. When I asked if there was anything she could do to help me she imphaticaly said no. A supervisor happened to be there and came to my rescue. She was wonderful. The first clerk was not going to even try to help or ask the supervisor if anything could be done. To her, the mistake and inconvenience didn't matter. Once the supervisor helped things went well and quick. My return person was great!Perhaps train clerks in regards to customer service. They appear to have NO desire to help solve problems. Thank goodness for a competent supervisor!

Car rental was set for 6:00-- I arrived to the lot at 6:02 as a function of traffic and work. No-one was there to be found as they had closed at 6:00 on the dot which is interesting since this was my pickup time (how can you close at 6 and also rent a car at 6?). Anyways, I called "customer no service" who refused to help me in any fashion. They would not find me a comparable truck anywhere nearby without significant fees. The best they could offer was to replace my $298 rental for a >$600 rental, which is in no way comparable. Needless to say, I ate the loss and rented a car with enterprise. I will never use Hertz or this location again and I'd advise you do the same.Everything
