Pros: At 62, and a previous corporate traveler, I have never seen such a scratched up, dirt, Hammered car in my life! Then I thought about how fun the car was to drive, and the rental rate, and it softened the concern. Then I realized the result of the lower rate is not cycling the cars as quickly as the top flight competitors!!! Thanks, Dave

Pros: The staff was Awful, customer service was impossible to get ahold of, and the address from the confirmation email was a gated lot with NO ENTRY. The lot was actually at Avis, but there is no signage for payless at all. It took over 30 minutes to get ahold of payless via phone, and they didn't know where the lot was either. It was a horrible experience.Cons: Directions/address to lot, customer service

Pros: The car was great. It was clean and a comfortable ride. No issues. Return was easy tooCons: They use the Avis shuttle but do not tell you that. I wanted 45 minutes for the shuttle until driver told me that they were also picking up Payless customers. Picking up the car was awful. They tried to charge me for an upgrade after saying they didn't have any cars in the class I reserved. Then the car they assigned me to was already occupied by another customer that was also assigned the same car. It took a long time to actually get the car I reserved. I felt like I was being scammed. A different employee helped me after I was assigned an occupied car. He was great. He gave me the car I had reserved and did it quickly. No problems after that. Also, I could not reach customer service by phone to ask about shuttle. Calls would not go through or were not answered

Pros: Pickup was easy and quick, that's where the positives ended.Cons: The car was obviously not cleaned, there were crumbs in the steering wheel and change in the center console, the windshield was impossible to see though at night because it was so dirty (like it had been sprayed to be cleaned and never wiped off), the rearview mirror was broken and jiggled while the car was in motion. When it came time for drop-off, the address on the contract printout was incorrect so the GPS would have taken us the wrong way had we not realized it was obviously the wrong way.

Pros: Nothing I didn’t even get to rent the car I paid for. Left without a car, ended renting one from alamoCons: I could have actually been giving a car. I paid for one, but wasn’t allowed to pick up

Cons: The Payless location was closed. I had to figure out with no signage at the Payless location or information on my reservation that the Avis location was servicing Payless customers. There was absolutely NO communication about this. I had to walk with 3 bags to the Avis location after being stranded at the Payless location. No one at Payless or Priceline could or wanted to help me. This caused me to be delayed by an hour, and it was an annoying and difficult situation do deal with. This needs to be remedied for future customers!!!

Pros: Vehicle was new and clean, drop-off experience was efficient if a bit under-signed/explained.Cons: Pick-up was incredibly slow due to lack of staff and a confusing setup. Signage was poor and Payless does not seem to have a strong presence at what is essentially an Avis facility. This includes the shuttle service. The Avis and Payless lines are adjacent but the Avis one moves more quickly and presents as more "official." Counter staff serve both lines but the Avis line progressed far faster. Once at the counter the rep. was very friendly and helpful. No major issues once departing the airport although given Denver in the winter with a bulk of these vehicles headed to the mounts an ice scraper would have been helpful.

Pros: The car itself was nice. No issues with it.Cons: The pick up and drop off processes were terrible. Took 30 minutes after waiting in line and speaking to the staff member for the car to be brought out. The drop off was unclear and confusing. Not enough staff, lighting, signs, etc.
