Staff should come out and explain the starter, lights, wipers, how to open gas cap, etc. A 5 min review would be helpful. Every rental car is different. I frankly found the guide not that good. Hard to find what you are looking for. Its safety to check all those things before driving. Not everyone can read english and french.8,8 Very Good

We onlly had 1200 km and Vancouver Island is a big island which we did not realize. We were unable to get more km without paying what would have been an exorbitant amount of money so had to take it back and get another contract. In spite of paying much more for the car why are you penalized if you take it back at a different location?Budget

Staff were very friendly and service was fairly quick.Cons:
I called Hertz to let them know my flight was cancelled and that I would be arriving a day late. Unfortunately, they failed to notify the location where I was picking up the car and, as a result, they rented out my car to someone else. They found another car for me but not what I had wanted.9,6 Wonderful

Kirk at HERTZ Nanaimo Airport, BC--Great Service! Car was mechanically sound My final email bill was exactly what I expected in CAD (I dropped off the car using their dropbox at 4:30am and got my final bill via email soon after they opened at 8am--no problems)Cons:
Corolla Touchscreen--many problems, Often would not respond to touch...completely blacked out for three hours--then rebooted on its own...changed radio stations at its own whim...and could not be turned off. I worked with it over the week I had the car-- so I did not have to waste time returning it.10,0 Wonderful
