Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche - Casablanca - Bedroom

9,0 Excellent (4 031 reviews)
R3 457+
Overview Reviews
The 24-floor Sofitel Casablanca hotel is located opposite the Hassan II mosque, in the heart of the business district in the city center, and towers above the white city. It has 141 rooms and 30 suites, each of which boasts an innovative design combiningcomfort, modernity and luxury. The first 4 floors of this charismatic building are dedicated to guest amenities: 2 restaurants, 1 bar, a spa spanning 2 floors, 1 ballroom, 5 meeting rooms, 1 penthouse for bespoke services and valet parking.
5,1 Okay
Pros: Nice upgraded suite
Cons: The concierge teams steers you to their drivers for taxis who are charging over 300% of the going rate They charged us for things we never had, like drinking at the bar (we don't drink alcohol so it's impossible) They informed us that breakfast was included and then charged us for it and said oh, it wasn't included at the end
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The interior is awesome. The bed was too good. The staff were very courteous and pleasing. The gym and pool is well maintained. I would recommend this property for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Cons: There were not much varieties in the breakfast buffet. Even in the fresh juices there was no choice except the orange. Also I could notice some flies in the dining hall.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The staff was wonderful, they attempted to change our rooms to a room that didn’t smell like mold but I think the property on the whole has a problem. The smell was everywhere from the rooms to the spa. But they were gracious and kind. Hichman was our concierge and he was so wonderful and wanted to make sure we were happy. They even gave us complimentary massages but nothing could fix the smell. They also arranged a car service to the airport and he was excellent which was 70 euros. The restaurant food was very good. The boutique was also very nice and reasonably priced. I think the restaurant manager’s name was Kenza—she was also lovely.
Cons: The property has a mold problem. We moved through three different rooms and they all smelled of mold. Even the last room, which was a grand suite ended up smelling like mold as we were in it longer. It was so strong that the linens and everything smelled. When we tried to turn on the heat it only made it worse. The bathrooms are black tile which showed all the funk and scum. The first room has visible finger prints on the walls, soap scum on the counters, pitted soap trays and the fixtures on the Wall were crooked and stains on the furniture—the photos don’t do a great job of communicating it. I’m not sure even the best maid could have cleaned it to make it look good. There was a general residue that was kind of gross. We didn’t want to keep bothering the staff and we knew we were only there for one night so we just roughed our way through it. The restaurant food was great. We had just come from Marrakech and it was on par with the food we had had there. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize the lounge had smoking so we ended up moving our table. That may be typical for Casablanca. The location was also extremely loud. Given that we were trying to deal with the mold we had the windows open and could not sleep with the noise. Not the hotel’s fault but still. There was a jack hammer and dog barking all through the night. This feels like a hotel that needs to be seriously overhauled and they need to look at their ventilation system. I would have expected more from a Sofitel. If I could have demanded my money back I would given that we paid 250.00. Plus taxes. It is the classic notion of ‘all that glitters is not gold.’

Cons: Not a thing.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The property was really nice all around with excellent staff. All were very polite and very helpful. The beds were comfortable. The rooftop was nice and food was great too.
Cons: The property was abnormally expensive. They were by far the highest prices I paid in all 2 weeks in Morocco. It was Manhattan prices. So that was really disappointing.

Pros: The team here is wonderful and the decor is gorgeous. Very boutique, luxury feeling in an otherwise gloomy concrete jungle (Casablanca in general). They went above and beyond to assist us during our stay and added some wonderful touches with macarons in the room each evening. The bed was also extremely comfortable.
Cons: Strange location. Massage was only okay. Hard to find initially.

Pros: The staff was so helpful, they helped with everything we needed for getting around Casablanca and then to and from the property. A beautiful balcony and view in a quiet neighborhood that gives you a feel of the residential areas. It's about a half hour (100 MAD) ride to the city center.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful. Nada and Said at the front desk were there for every question and request. Jamila was quite helpful, in charge of the restaurant and dining. I came with a group for my retreat and everyone was thrilled with all aspects of the facility.
Cons: The walls are a little thin. You can hear when someone is in the shower in the room next door or if they are talking on their phone.
6,7 Good
Pros: The view from the room. The mosaic in the hotel. Nicely decorated.
Cons: Firs of all. I booked two rooms for five people. When we arrived, they told me that my booking was for 4 people. And that it was going to cost me extra . I told them to double check. After checking, they realized it was for 5 people. They told me the junior suite that we've booked for €240 is in a different building and double room is in another one. Do you want it or not? Or we can swith you in 2 double room in the same building. We asked to see the suite. Apparently all rooms in that hotel are smoking rooms. The suite stank like an old cigar room. We told them we did not want this room because of allergies and that we also wanted room to be at least on the same building. They told us they'll give us two double rooms in same building on the same flloor. But no credit for the suite. As they charge per person not per room. Then they tried to put us into two very small rooms. We had to argue again to get a bigger room for 3 people . Mind you there is only one king size bed in the room. The told us they'll bring an extra bed. Hum....our bed in the desert was much better than the one we got. It was way too small for an adult. The bed was extremely unconfortable , the matress too thin . It was in very bad shape and squeaky. We never got the credit for the suite. The people at the front desk were condescending and arrogant. The only nice person was the bell boy and the person who took us to see the rooms. Other issue. The hammam. It was horrible. The two ladies took us in the steam room. Told us to wash ourselves and they'll be back for the treatment. They LEFT US THERE for what seems to be a very long time. We could hear them laugh.¹ Then after a while we decided to go see if they were coming or not. They put us into 2 separate cold rooms and started the treatment. I told the girl that we're supposed to do it in the hammam and she said, no we usually do it like that. After my treatment, my skin was super dry and i had to put on lotion.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb - right next to the beach and with a good variety of places to eat within walking distance, although we did eat at the hotel twice as it was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was everything you could think of (except no cereal). We had a balcony with an ocean view and were treated to some glorious sunsets. There were taxis outside the hotel, very cheap into the city centre and very helpful taxi driver took us on an impromptu private guide of the city for only 400 dirham - much cheaper than any of the' official trips' we looked at.
Cons: The wi-fi signal was poor in our room until we discovered that it was perfect in our bathroom - we watched the Bake Off final on youtube sitting on the edge of the bath. There were only 4 sunbeds at the pool and when we asked if there were more were told we could sit in an ordinary chair which was not comfortable.
5,0 Okay
Cons: The room had a very worrying odour that overcame both childeren, with one requiring medical attention. The hotel failed to re-assure us that they actually knew what is was and that it would be corrected for the benefit of other travellers.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location near the beach. Perfect breakfast
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good, you could get eggs to order, and many other choices. We had dinner in the restaurant two nights and that was delicious as well. the pool side bar was a great place to unwind after the day. I also had a massage at the spa - very nice.
Cons: can't think of anything ;)

Cons: While entering the hotel a bad smell wellcomes you. The towels were dirty, the soap and shampoo was the smallest I've ever seen. You have to remind the house keeping to put toiletpaper Receptionists are trying not to have an eyecontact with you. Your doorcard doesnt work you tell them again it doesn't work. Breakfast place was like a hidden underground room. So we preferred Sofitel's restaurant paying too much money.

Cons: Wi-fi was very slow. It did not load maps, email or even social media. A/C was on high and the room never cooled down. It made it an uncomfortable few nights.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I have booked a number of hotels while touring around Morocco. For the price this was by far the best hotel that I stayed in. It was close to the train station which was a big bonus for me. The beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and tidy, noise from outside was of an acceptable standard. My minibar did not work and after a phone call to the receptionist it was immediately replaced. So I cannot fault the service. The breakfast was also better than most other hotels that I stayed in.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say

5,0 Okay
Pros: worst staff ever...
Cons: staff try to SCAM you anytime they can.. They call taxi for us which normally costs 25 but we paid 120 because hotel staff took their share everything arranged to scam tourists..
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Bed and room temperature was comfortable.
Cons: During the check-in process the staff at the counter lied about the debit / credit card machine not working and suggested we pay in euros. We assume to escape paying transaction fees to the credit card company. We received a similar experience from other businesses throughout our trip, but did not expect this from a hotel. Because I am caucasian people assumed I was European and that i carried large amounts of euro cash. In the end the bank machine across the street did not work, so we asked them to try the machine again and voila. It worked. We asked for rooms on the same floor and booked well in advance. They could not accommodate this. My room was still in the middle of being mopped when I got there. I did not want to walk onto a soaking wet floor with my shoes, but equally did not want to walk on it with my socks or bare feet. Two lights blew out (one while I was in the room and one while I was out). The shower head was spraying all over the place and the water temperature fluctuated hot and cold to the point where I could not enjoy the shower.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location (close to the bus/railway station and medina); clean and spacious room
Cons: After sleeping in atmospheric riads in Morocco this is just an ordinary hotel with no climate
4,0 Okay
Pros: I am to easy but there is no wi. Fi so I lose more money that I pay for the hotel

Pros: Very nice premises. Large rooms with excellent comfort / equipment. The sea view is superb . A very good breakfast Very good diner at Blue Restaurant: fish specifically
Cons: Most probably the hotel is struggling getting its Alcohol license. Probably the only Top international hotel not having ii: in Casablanca. A pity not to be able to enjoy a Moroccan glass of wine with such great food.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location is great and the neighbourhood is the most magical place is casa. The staff were very friendly and helpful no matter what we needed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Clean hotel with a nice view to the ocean , we had a quick check in , the staff are so nice and friendly. The breakfast room has a view on the ocean it was adorable , the food was good but not matching the value of money. The location of the hotel is also good but the only thing we did not like is the very far distance from the airport which took about an hour drive.
Cons: The far distance from the airport

Pros: Especial thanks to Youssef with payment's help! :)
6,7 Good
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: booked extra day using booking offer and they made trouble out of that . They locked my door key few times even I booked 5 nights and payed already It took them long long time to sort the issue and I had to contact booking support team . They are very rigid to deal with and one staff was very angry at me which really didn’t like that .
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: The bed is comfy.
Cons: During housekeeping, they do not include the dishes. We bought our own dishwashing liquid soap and cleaned it ourself. They also have a coffee maker in the kitchen but on our second day we asked for coffee again but they said its only free on first day which doesn't make sense. The hotel share the same breakfast area with other hotels nearby so prepare to walk outside if you want to eat. Breakfast is not worth it for 65dh per person.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great !
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: The security outside are so nice and always smiling.
Cons: You are lucky if female receptionist assist you as they are very kind but the male receptionist is purely rude and fake. Good luck with such employees like them. Greedy for money and very pushy.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel with nice staff. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good. WiFi worked in the room.
Cons: The breakfast is not good value for money, not worth the price; there is little choice and the coffee is not good. The location is probably better suited for business travelers than for sightseeing; with all the traffic in the city, it takes too long to get to the coast.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly enough. Pool is long but narrow. Food is OK. Good range of choice for Breakfast.
Cons: Location OK for local business visits, but you will want to take Taxis or drive to other locations.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: The bed too soft and the worst were the towels! I have never seen so bad quality towels, management should really change them
5,0 Okay
Pros: The room and the lobby were beautiful and clean. The breakfast offered a huge variety and was excellent.
Cons: They listed offering a shuttle service to the airport, but failed to mention that it was for a steep cost. I was incredibly disappointed to only find that out upon arrival. Furthermore, I couldn't manage to sleep at all the night that I was there because it was so hot. When I finally called to notify the front desk that I suspected my AC wasn't working and I couldn't sleep because I was so hot in the middle of the night, they told me that the AC wasn't going to work because they shut off the AC for the year. They provided no alternative solutions or even offered an apology. So instead of staying close to the airport in effort to get some additional sleep, I ended up having a totally sleepless night and paying through the nose to get to the airport the next day.
7,9 Good
Pros: Cleanliness, room service
Cons: Room service/language barrier Information for guests were unclear
6,7 Good
Cons: 1) Room too hot, air conditioned did not work properly. 2) Dinner very expensive compare to the quality (buffet) et also compare to the restaurants in Casablanca. 3) very slow check out causing long line of attendees
4,2 Okay
Pros: I liked the breakfast and the security team was very friendly
Cons: The roof top pool was icy cold so we could not use it. I asked at the reception if there is a particular time of the day that they heat it up and i got a very sarcastic response. I think that when a customer tells you that it is so cold that they can't even put their feet in, and the same experience had other guests, you deal with it in a more professional manner. Also the roof top bar was only open on Saturday night till 11pm and every other time we went upstairs it was closed. The housekeeping team kept entering our room without knocking and most of the times before 9am. The reception charged me for a booking i had already paid for and were refusing to refund it. I had an argument that lasted 45 minutes. That left me with a very bitter feeling about my trip
6,0 Good
Cons: Overbooked so they left us sitting in the reception area for an hour while we waited for transportation to their other hotel downtown. We had booked this hotel because it is about a 20 minute drive to the airport. The downtown hotel was 1 hour from the airport and $10 more on the cab ride. They did not compensate us at all for their overbooking, extra cost, our loss of time and inconvenience.
7,5 Good
Pros: Very clean, nice bathroom

5,8 Okay
Pros: Somehow outdated and old fashioned design for room and the bathroom. 24 hours checkin/checkout not possible unless you pay for it. However room service was excellent and food was very palatable though i found it overpriced.
Cons: Charges are little bit on the high side.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and comfortable room: I got upgraded so was certainly pleased. It's perhaps not quite at the level of the true 5* palaces in other countries but that would be a small gap, everything is perfectly fine and it's one of the rare places where the Internet functions well!
Cons: Breakfast too expensive. Just cross the road and get a proper local breakfast at a tenth of the price
4,0 Okay

7,7 Good
Pros: Nice Hotel. Great Room.
Cons: Too much scent/perfum in the hallway, and especially in my room. Too much, too much!!!! At first I wondered if they were trying to hide cigarette smoke in my nonsmoking room - but that scent kept strong throughout my stay, it was really too much - and I am not sensitive to perfumes or deodorants. Headache inducing. Terrible. Milk/cream for the coffee machine would be nice.
