Pros: The lovely room was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast was great with high quality pastries and homemade jam.
Pros: Very friendly people. Clean room and lovely old house with nice interior. I recommend it.
Cons: The stairways. But it’s a minor inconvenience.
Pros: Even though we arrived very late and in the middle of a terrific storm, the welcome we received was excellent and the troubles of our journey here immediately evaporated. The room was in an ancient convent and very well appointed; it was so interesting to learn its history from Isabelle.
Cons: There is a steep staircase which might be tricky for someone less physically able
Pros: Our children loved playing in the garden. The proprietors were very welcoming, and made excellent recommendations for places to have dinner (the crêperie very close by is excellent). The room was very clean and comfortable. Very tasty locally made fresh croissants and pain au chocolat were brought in for breakfast.
Pros: Really perfect and helpful hosts, ideal location
Pros: Very nice staff really interested and helpful. Very nice room more than enough space very clean everything was amazing. Nice place in the middle of the town with bars and restaurant close to the ‘chambre dotes’ Safe parking underneath the house
Pros: A lovely large room with a very nice shower room. Excellent breakfast with fruit juice, yoghurt, baguette and pain au chocolat. A very comfortable stay.
Pros: Isobel was an outstanding host. Her house was filled with beautiful furniture and she made our stay very comfortable. The room on the top level of the house had an airy open loft feel to it, with exposed wood and high ceilings. She gave an excellent dinner recommendation and prepared a beautiful breakfast for us to enjoy in the main dining room. Thank you Isobel for sharing your home and your time. We will be sure to stay again if ever in the area.
Pros: The location was perfect, the house full of interesting historical tales, the room was an excellent renovation, and the hosts were helpful and friendly.

Pros: Lovely owner was very welcoming. Room and meal were perfect. Highly recommended
Pros: We booked an evening meal at the property which was good quality and value at 20euros each including wine. We dined with other guests staying which was quite an interesting mix of nationalities and languages. The swimming pool was a nice treat and the hosts were friendly. Convenient stopover on our journey south (not far from the autoroute).
Cons: There was a basic clothes rack for hanging your clothes at one end of the bedroom rather than a cupboard. The breakfast wasn't great (quite sparse).
Pros: The supper, with all the guests. Cooked and served by the lovely family
Cons: The pool was freezing !
Pros: Super place. Easy to find. Friendly hosts who spoke English much better than our French. Lovely room. Indoor pool a bonus. Evening meal for 20 euros was outstanding. Lovely to sit outside to eat in the evening with the other guests. Great breakfast available until 9.30am which suited us. Free parking. Would highly recommend.
Pros: Dinner was wonderful People could not have been nicer Best place we stayed on our trip
Cons: we would liked to have been able to stay longer
Pros: Excellent hosts. Beautiful location. Breakfast and dinner cooked by the owners and was delicious.
Cons: Everything met our wishes and expectations.
Pros: Lovely welcoming owners, very friendly and beautiful house
Pros: Lovely house in a beautiful location. Room was really nice and our host was super friendly. Will definitely recommend to friends and book again if we are in the area.
Pros: Very helpful. We were travelling with friends, but unfortunately they could not be accommodated. However the proprietors were pleased to let them share an evening meal with us. It was excellent and the massive thunderstorm which started half way through did not faze them at all. Also it was prawns for the main course which my husband cannot eat they quickly without fuss brought him something else.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice but did not spoil our stay
Pros: The rooms were very clean. Comfy bed and quiet location. Our host was wonderful

Pros: Beautiful building, well looked after by staff, excellent food and room was very spacious. Eco friendly lighting in communal areas and breakfast catered for fair trade, allergies, dietary and organic, very impressed.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like
Pros: Excellent location when travelling through central France. staff very friendly and welcoming. Good restaurant
Pros: Nice hotel converted from old factory nice big comfortable room good choice at breakfast secure parking using key pad system 10-15minite walk to town centre
Cons: The hotel restaurant was closed due to being in the middle of a change of ownership We should have been advised there was no restaurant other people staying had the same problem we had to travel to eat in the evening

Pros: Hotel, room, staff and parking were faultless. The location was perfect also - walking distance to good restaurants and 2 minute drive to supermarket and petrol station. Room was very spacious for the price and bathroom pleasant. Book it - you won't be disappointed.
Cons: Pretty much perfect overall. Breakfast was continental only, might be nice option to offer something hot but appreciate the hotel probably doesn't have the facilities. There are possibly restaurants nearby that serve breakfast. Window on second floor opened fully so be careful when traveling with kids.
Pros: the hotel was located close to the motorway network and was very easy to find. nearby there was a few restaurants which gave discount to hotel guests. very clean room with good breakfast selection.
Cons: the family room was very small for a family of 4
Cons: They didn’t give me the room I booked and just shrugged in a very charming pleasant way when I showed them the booking.
Pros: It’s a basic hotel, good enough for a night.
Cons: You can’t make tea or coffee in the room
Pros: Clean and quiet, restaurants in walking distance.
Cons: Nothing for the price.
Pros: Comfy bed, clean, good size room, very good breakfast and great location. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Shower was on a hose and the wrong angle so flooded the bathroom floor while you were using shower.
Pros: Lovely staff. Easy to find. Comfortable and good value for money. Decent facilities. Perfect for a one night stopover. Some reasonable restaurants close by.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: The main beds were very comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. The 4th bed for our youngest daughter was less comfortable/ a bit small.
Cons: It would have been better if the 4th bed had been more comfortable for our 8 year old daughter.
Pros: Cheap &!Cheerful
Pros: Lovely staff. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast and good price.
A stay at Le Continental places you in the heart of Chateauroux, within a 15-minute walk of Hotel Bertrand Museum and Museum of the Cordeliers Convent.
Pros: Didn't try local restaurant as food and patron was so good where we stayed
Pros: Friendly helpful staff excellent breakfast and evening meal
Cons: nothing - staying again in september twice
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful
Pros: Loved that the room was on the top floor even though there was no elevator. Wonderful cross-ventilation. Restaurant food and staff were outstanding. Was able to park overnight in front of hotel for 3 Euros.
Cons: Dinner didnt start until 7:30, but that’s France!
Cons: Hotel was good for the price paid, with exception that only a couple of days before arrival I was notified by mail that on the arrival day the restaurant was closed, this being the main reason to stay at a Logis Hotel because it had a good cuisine rating. The manager on duty was extremely friendly and helpfull and took me to the railway station with all my lugage the day of departure. Hotel was OK even if no lift.
Pros: Outstanding service alongside the owners attention to detail make this a very nice hotel to stay in. The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate and we were well looked after in the bar! Breakfast was straight forward but delicious. We were passing through Chateaureux as we drove to the Dordogne region and wanted somewhere to stay for one night. This hotel is not a tourists hotel but a little gem nonetheless.
The Ibis Châteauroux hotel is located in the heart of the shopping district, in the town center, 5 minutes from the station. We offer 60 practical and comfortable air-conditioned rooms with free WIFI and satellite TV (French and foreign channels). There i s a private paying underground car park (maximum height 6.6 ft [2 meters]), 3 conference rooms for meetings, a bar and a 24-hour snack service.
Pros: Hotels position for restaurants and shops
Cons: Starting to look a bit shabby, especially corridors
Pros: Location and safe parking for motorbike. A good stay, breakfast lovely and discounts offered at local restaurants.
Cons: All was good.
Pros: Everything was as I expected, practical accommodation
Cons: No comment in this regard
Cons: Underground parking access was narrow and difficult. Location in one way town centre streets was difficult to find and get out of.
Pros: It is a very professional operation there including wonderful breakfast
Cons: Bathroom was unsafe for the elderly, the shower especially , was short of handrails to enable safety. The toilet would also be more acceptable if there was a handrail to assist standing.other than the that the bathroom was ok.

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Planning an event in Montierchaume? This hotel has facilities measuring 344 square feet (32 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very good and friendly staff. Good food.
Pros: Very friendly checkin staff. Great communication. Location and price. Bedroom had a modern air conditioning unit.
Cons: Run down exterior. Dated interior.
Pros: The hotel has recently undergone a change of ownership, so we are using this as a yardstick. Friendly welcoming staff. We were using the hotel as a single overnight stay. The outside of the hotel is dated and in need of a re-paint. Some foyer items need replacing, BUT, our room was lovely and clean, spacious enough for two people and better than many of the motel type chains. Very comfortable bed, we had a good long, undisturbed sleep. There is a restaurant there but we like to explore for meals, so did not have dinner or breakfast. We wish the new owners success with their hotel, but they need to crack on with the re-furb' issues. Will stay again next year on our trip back to Spain and look for improvements.
Cons: Outside paintwork and lifting vinyl in the lobby.
Pros: Very friendly staff and very clean good for a stopover
Cons: The restaurant was closed at weakends and no resturant in walking distance
Pros: Okay for overnight
Pros: Everything was fine bearing in mind the price. Good to see alternatives to croissants and bread and cereals for breakfast. I had eggs, cold meat and cheese as I can't eat cereals and sugar etc.
Pros: Pleasant man on reception - I felt sorry for him working in such a mediocre hotel.
Cons: Very noisy fellow guests, very poor build quality, elderly and squeaky beds and what sounded like an entire kennel of dogs very nearby.
Pros: Excellent breakfast - good value. Easy parking. Only a short distance from town. Ideal location for us for a one night stay on way back from Pyrenees.
Cons: Bathroom - a bit small, dull lighting, shower curtain! A liitle bit 'tired' overall but appears to be being dealt with.
Pros: It was clean and the staff helpful and friendly
Cons: Location - the hotel is several miles from Chateauroux. The nearest restaurant is a 10 minute drive. There is a restaurant on site but you need to book in the morning and I. The evening even though there is technically a bar, there were no staff to man it.
Pros: This is probably the closest hotel to the C.N.T.S the French National Shooting Centre so ideal for competitors. Facilities are basic but what you would expect for the price.
Cons: Better facilities for money perhaps and make breakfast inclusive.
With a stay at Christina in Chateauroux, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Museum of the Cordeliers Convent and Hotel Bertrand Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: We found fleas from the room! There was an alive flea in the room when we arrived that we initially dismissed as an error and thought it's a different bug. But in the morning there was a dead flea on my pillow. After searching the room we found 2 more. Eeek! After this the hotel promised to give us a 50% refund which never arrived. A complete scam, avoid this hotel!
Cons: It's a bit shabby overall. The staff were pretty offhand. No garage or shed to put my bike. Breakfast at 9 euros was indifferent.
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Falsely advertised as 24h check in. Turned up to find a note on the door with a number to call. Phone battery was dead and there was no bell to ring and nobody answered knocks on the door. I wasted time at 3am trying to find somewhere to charge my phone so I could call the number. When I did eventually get there the manager reluctantly let me in, did not apologise, and was generally just rude.
Cons: No aircon as advertised, nor lovely little garden area to sit in. Noisy. Very small lift but only after 2 flights of stairs - not easy for the older person carrying suitcases. Only 2 of the 4 lights in the room worked - could all do with a good clean... Skirting boards, shower edges etc. Such a tiny shower my husband couldn't use it. Poor and very dated decor and furniture old and worn. Who uses blankets anymore? Refused to lend us a bowl for dogs water. Man on reception very casually dressed and not at all friendly or helpful. Location not walking distance to any eateries or bars and we were put off eating on the premises as there seemed only 1 or 2 people doing everything.
Pros: This is a perfectly good overnight stop on a budget. The room was more than adequate and clean. Wifi faded at times but acceptable. Breakfast of pastries, cereal, ham and cheese etc was more than adequate
Cons: Dated decor. Faulty bath fittings
Pros: Hotel parking available, not too far from the city centre.
Cons: Very outdated room with tiny bathroom, stated that reception is 24 hours however, when we got to the hotel the door was locked and we had to call someone to let us in. Upon checkout once again we had to wait 15min for someone to come to reception. We had very noisy people next door and you could hear everything which was really unpleasant. Wouldn't recommend.
Pros: kind staff and good breakfast
Cons: Shower cabin was quite small. It smelled a little of smoke in the room
Pros: The man at reception
Cons: Advert said it was in the centre of town it wasn’t it was a good twenty minute walk which with a tired four year old is not possible. After a ten hour drive we then had to get back in the car to find somewhere to eat
Pros: functional hotel, you get what you pay for. staff tried hard to rectify our issues when we raised them
A stay at Le Boischaut places you in the heart of Chateauroux, within a 5-minute drive of Museum of the Cordeliers Convent and Hotel Bertrand Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Value for money, warm welcome from friendly receptionist. Comfortable beds and good shower. Ample car parking.
Pros: Very clean and good value.
Cons: Check out is 11:30 not 12:00, I was disturbed at 10:30 buy the cleaner who wouldnt undestand that I didnt want her to clean till Id left as I wasnt ready. At 11:30 the lady at reception came to say I had to leave right now and not 12:00. At breakfast it was implied that Id taken a tray and not returned it by the lady looking after reception. The tray was right infront of her.
Pros: not far to train station- price
Cons: Terrible hotel: 1-the hotel room was cold and they turned of heating system 2 months ago, I slept with my outdoor jacket .Also other guests in trhe morning were complained for cold rooms , 2- the receptionist didn't accept to keep my luggage just for 2-3 hours , 3- not friendly behavior of the reception and directly telling no to the most of the client needs , 4- breakfast was not good and variable for 9 euros , 5-difficult to take a rest becauseof too much noise that were coming from the other rooms
Pros: Price was low, should have known!
Cons: Location, no one on reception, i had to call the hotel! I could hear everything in every part of the hotel! I would never go there again, for any price. I asked if they had any bottled water, the receptionist just shrugged his shoulders, I took that as a no!
Pros: I had very good sleeps. Staff pleasant and friendly
Cons: Breakfast felt measured out with each guest being allocated 3 mini bakery items. No choice of an extra pastry or 2 of same kind rather than the 3 being imposed. Evening meal disappointing - lukewarm pasta, bread and cheese less than fresh.Part of payment taken well in advance with no choice of refund. No hairdryer is available in this hotel.
Pros: Clean, close to town
Cons: No shower curtain
Cons: It was closed when we arrived, they asked to pay again and they said that booking did not charged the money we had already paid. The rooms were not cleaned and the host were not very kind.
Pros: Free parking was good in the locality. Location reasonable and easy to find.
Cons: No air conditioning or even a fan. Very basic supplies. Both basin and shower needed repair.
Pros: A two night stay whilst competing at the national shooting centre nearby.
Cons: breakfast could have had more choice but fine.
Pros: Breakfast was just OK, provided with the minimum of effort.
Cons: Welcome was very average - had to wait 10 minutes to get someone to open the door even though we turned up exactly as planned. Overall impression was that the management were doing the strict minimum effort to provide a service. Do not visit Chateauroux on a Sunday - very very difficult to find a restaurant open at night
