I made reservation knowing it was going to be $150 including fees and taxes. We had to extend one more day due to flight cancelation, which added $50. However, other taxes and fees added so I ended up paying $275 somehow?Reviewed Jan 21 2024

Cons:The pick up and drop off location are never staffed and I have to wait for the hotel staff to call a Budget person to drive over, even after I have a reservation at a specific time.Reviewed May 7 2021

Pros:Car was clean and everything worked properly.Cons:We were offered an upgrade at no cost then when we brought the car back, that information was not entered into the computer so the counter person tied to charge us more until the manager came and remembered that he gave us a free upgrade.Reviewed Feb 1 2020

Cons:Insurance is a scam. I have coverage through my credit card however they claimed I needed to present WRITTEN evidence of coverage in Mexico or would have to pay for their insurance. This was never disclosed in advance via reservation or when I called Budget to confirm reservation and any special insurance requirements.Reviewed Nov 26 2019

Cons:Having the vehicle I reserved. I reserved a SUV and when I arrived at 3:30 they only had 2 vehicles available (compacts) , I refused to accept either one and had to wait and hour for the next suitable vehicle a full size sedan to be returned, fueled and cleaned. Budget and I was lucky that I didn’t slice open the oil pan or dropped the transmission on the rutted and rocky dirt roads to my destination of Cerritos Beach north of Cabo. That office needs more inventory of vehicles with basic safety features like back up camera, blind spot warning or any sensors period not available on even their premium vehicles. Then replace some of the indifferent and drag-*ss employees who contributed to the hour long wait!Reviewed Nov 9 2019

Pros:The car was new and comfortable and clean.Cons:Beware of Budget trying to steal your money! They bait & switched us and in the mountains of paperwork we signed had us sign for an amount we didn’t agree upon and our rental went from $130 to $788! We felt scammed.Reviewed Apr 22 2019

Pros:The car was nice. It made the trip seamless.Cons:Took over an hour to receive vehicle. I was under the impression that all I was paying at 141 for my 9 days. When I arrived they said I needed an insurance which added like 400 dollars. Totally unexpected. When I asked them they said I needed liability insurance.Reviewed Apr 4 2019

Don't trust their phone reservations with insurancePros:Car was ok, had 50k km on it but drove decent. Pickup and dropoff was fairly quick. Close to airport.Cons:I was supposed to have insurance at about $120 total for two days rental and they told me at the desk they didn't show the insurance reservation. Total ended up being over $200. Also conned me into a tank of gas when I burned < 1/4 tank driving all the way over to Todos Santos and back. Asked what the tank size was and they said that I would burn a tank of gas going and coming. Know now not to believe what they say.Reviewed Nov 20 2018
