Pros:Staff was nice. They just didn’t have any cars when we got there. Said it would be 3 hours or I could upgrade. We had planned on have a full size. I had to upgrade to an suv that cost $100 more then plan on.Cons:Just having a a car for me or budget making up the difference.Reviewed Feb 11 2019

Cons:Reserved for convertible- was told none was available. This is I spite of reserving it several months in advance. No attempt to try to find another vehicle in surrounding areas. Asked to call central reservation number for budget - they were no help at all. Did not even offer to reduce rates as promised vehicle was not available. Very poor service.Reviewed Oct 21 2018

Pros:Got the keys right away, was able to drop the car off after hours.Cons:After getting the keys, was told to remove the sunpass from windshield since I had my own and didn’t want the additional charges. I couldn’t remove it- no one was around to help. I saw a man that worked there and asked for help, then yelled for help but he ignored me and kept walking. Also, if you leave your vehicle there you have to park it across the street.... so walking across 6 lanes of fast moving traffic is a little unsettling.Reviewed Mar 26 2018

Pros:The auto was clean and economicalCons:We were informed that we could pick up the rental at the st. Pertersburg/Clearwater airport. At the Budget counter, we were informed that at the car had to be picked up at the Budget office 16 miles away in city. We wasted a couple of hours scrambling to find transportation in an unfamiliar city. The agent at the city Budget office was rude and inconsiderate The whole experience was awful. When I arrived on the morning g of the reservation, I was informed there were no vehicles. They didn’t bother to call me so I could make other arrangements. Cons:Got a ride local friends from airport to car rental. It took 30+ minutes to go 10 miles. We missed the 2 PM closing by 10 minutes. We had no idea the place closed at 2 PM on the weekend. This was not mentioned on any correspondence. I switched the drop off to the airport for over half the cost of a week's rental. I call that excessive!Reviewed Feb 20 2017
