Pros: I loved everything about this lodge! The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was much better than typical hotel breakfast. The beds were comfortable. The pool was very much enjoyed by the kids. We were able to walk to many things.

Also I had a spa tub and every time I turned on the jets a bunch of black crud came out. I reported that too but nothing was done about it either. Also the hot tub was drained and closed.

After the first night, we had to call the desk for towels and again after the second night. The bar and restaurant might as well not been open. Had to explain how to make drinks. It was a nice hotel, but I paid full price when they had little help and services.

Cons: Rather old & a little run down. We did not know it was a motel. The pics online do not show the ‘south tower’ which are motel rooms which is where our room was located. I had stayed here once before in the main tower & looked at the pics online so I had only seen the nice HOTEL rooms with tall ceilings & nice furniture, fixtures, etc. However, the MOTEL room we stayed in with 8 ft tall ceilings was clean but didn’t smell very clean, had older fixtures, furniture, air unit, etc. It was ‘okay’, but more the equivalent of a Best Western ($89/night) motel than what we were expecting a hotel & the price being a deal at $119/night. Super tiny bathroom/shower area with shower ceiling only about 6.5-7.0 ft tall.

Cons: When we checked in I told the gentleman at the desk I had a service dog at that point he asked me if I wanted to upgrade for $10 more the room was on the ground floor that was about the only upgrade. When we walked in the room and had a very stuffy smell. In the floors around the base molding were dirty. The breakfast was awful sure didn’t match the pictures on the Internet the French toast was cut into little pieces and cold the gravy tasted like paste and the biscuits tasted like raw dough. From the smell of the room I feel like this is where they put all the dogs whether they be service dogs or not and then they charge you $10 more per night telling you it is an upgrade. The people that roomed over us ran across the room and then noisy quite late into the night. This was not an upgrade this was just a room where they put people with service dogs and charge them $10 more.

Gave up and went somewhere to buy breakfast.

Cons: The orange cleaner or air freshener was so over powering when we first got in that we had to open the door and put the fan on high just to be able to be in the room and it took a couple of days. They need something lighter and more pleasant. The door stop in the bathroom needs to be moved, it is in a bed spot. Too easy to step on. Microwaves should be in the rooms not an extra charge. Parking is HORRIBLE, need to get hiking boots if you have to park on the front side of the hotel or just use the free valet parking. Just takes a little longer to get too your car when you are headed out. ONLY 2 elevators and one is small and one is VERY SMALL and when the hotel is full getting down from the buffet is a LONG wait.. Trying to get down with a cart during the buffet you may have to wait for several trips of full cars to be able too get on. The lay out of the beverages at the buffet sucks, needs to be redesigned. Get your drink first then get your food so it will still be hot when you sit down to eat. Also the buffet needs more variety from one day too the next, same thing every day. We will try others to see how they compare before we go back.

Cons: The front desk concierge was not very friendly when we arrived for check in. Other than that, everything was just fine.

Cons: Breakfast was not filled at 9am, they were out of most if the food and no one in sight to fill it. They left cleaning products in our room which was amusing until I realized they also didn't replace our towels after they took the dirty ones. The beds were super firm, not comfortable at all.

Cons: The staff at the front desk wasn't very nice, the heat/air unit made an extremely loud noise throughout the night. The mirrors in both rooms I rented had some sort of big black spots all over them.

Cons: We got locked out of our room 3 times in 3 days. We had to drive our car back to registration everytimeto get new keys. On one of those occassions, I had to wait in a registration line for 30 minutes behind people checking in, just to get a new key (once again) making us late for a show. If you want to be bombarded by timeshare info everywhere you go, this is the spot. Beds not comfortable. Old rooms, old carpet, years & years of people and animals living there.

People at sink can see person on stool. 3) If ice or snow it would be challenging to get up hill to resort lodging.

Cons: The shower head looked disgusting and looked like they hadn’t ever been cleaned. The bath tub didn’t drain well at all. Cue stagnant water. Gross. The breakfast was okay. Not very many options. More fresh fruit would be nice. The breakfast hall seating was severely lacking. Part of our family had to stand.. and it was very crowded. Not to mention the tables have these little squares for chairs which don’t provide proper support and make it hard for my parents who are older to sit on.

Cons: When I checked in, because of it being a busy time of year they had to pre authorize my card. I now have been charged twice for the room. staff says that it should come off in a couple of days. Also got charged a little more than what had been stated on my booking app.

Cons: Only thing I was not thrilled about was the 1st morning at breakfast TV was on a politically divisive channel, "CNN", we simply took a far seat to ignore. Thankfully all other mornings it was set to a more neutral "weather channel" and made me happy.

The toilet in the restroom wasn't anchored tight to the floor and would slightly shift from side to side when you were...ehhemm....doing business! Bathtub had two soap dispensers, like you find in a public restroom next to the sink, on the tub wall!!! Heater/AC looked like it was from the early nineties and in bad repair!!! The bed was some hard 5" cheap matress on very squeaky bedsprings. I could continue on but this should be enough of a warning....if you choose to stay here after reading this... it's at your own fault!

We had booked and paid for four room but some of our family didn’t arrive until the day after we checked in. When they arrived we found out the hotel had resold our two rooms! Eventually we were given two other rooms free of charge. Again I want to emphasize how wonderful the staff was. Had it not been for them the trip would have been a disaster!

Cons: Well...check in was at 4pm. We stood in a very long line for around 45 minutes to be told our room were not ready at 430pm. So was told to back to the end of the line and they might be ready by the time we make it back to the front. Not ok. Lots of other people having the same issue and one lady didnt even have a room available after booking on an outside agency. Several people cancelled rooms. The staff was very nice and I'm sure were treated very badly that day for being shirt staffed. So I appreciate everything they did to stay calm and try to accommodate all the angry frustrated people. The rooms were fairly clean. We had two towels for a room that sleeps 6 people! We tried to get more and had to make several trips to get enough for everyone to have their own towels. Then we ended up washing our own towels, ridding ourselves of the hassle of trying to get more towels. The kids loved the waterpark. But you have to have a photo I'd to get towels...which just ended up being another hassle! Definitely wont stay here again. Location is great but there are many hotels in the general location so location is not an exclusion to make me stay again.

Cons: It is an older hotel in need of an update. The walls had primed spots in several places as if they had been repaired and waiting on fresh paint. The A/C unit had a musty smell when operating. Fortunately, the weather was cool enough that we didn't need it on very much. My family has allergies and had symptoms when the A/C was on.
There are no towels in the pool area. Also, if you are staying in the Atrium, you have to walk across an asphalt parking lot to access the water park.

Cons: No WIFI! What hotel in 2015 does not have WIFI? None = free, per use, per room charge... none, no equipment. If you stood in parking lot could steal it from place next door. Shower had lowest head I've ever seen. 6'3" male had to shower on knees to get water on head. 12 yr old (under 5') had to stoop. A/C unit count regulations room it was either hot or freezing no in between. Water "park" was the reason for booking, over half the stuff was closed while we were there. Why have two water slides if one is always going to be closed. it appeared the only reason that things were closed because of a lack of staffing. the toddler splashing area was closed our entire stay.

Cons: Room seem clean. We did kill roaches in the room. No microwave or mini fridge which ment we couldn't get food to keep in the room.

Cons: Breakfast wasn't much and most of it was gone about a hour into it. Also nothing to eat for our gluten free member who gets extremely I'll if she eats gluten.

Cons: The carpet was so dirty that my wife's socks became black. Beds bad. Room not clean. No-one on duty during night not at breakfast. Poor breakfast. Let me say that they were in the process of updating, so it will hopefully get better.

Cons: Quite unclean. Bathroom floor gross and sticky. Walls stained and dirty. No maid service for our entire stay. Never came in to even change our trash. Breakfast was not presented in a clean environment so we ended up eating out each morning, which was an unexpected extra expense. Staff was kind and courteous, but one unfortunate person we had to complete a transaction with for show tix was clearly suffering flu symptoms, so I didn’t like sharing a pen, handing her my debit card, or receiving paper tix from her. Went immediately to wash in lobby bathroom. It was also dirty and had no towels.
