Pros: Service was excellent! The best I have ever experienced. Real 5 star service from the doorman, front desk, restaurant staff, bar tender, housekeeping, etc., all the employees were extremely courteous, helpful, attentive, and professional.
Hotel is very nicely and tastefully decorated, lots of artwork and fancy walls, ceilings, etc, and our room was very comfortable. They gave us a free upgrade upon check-in (from a deluxe room to a grand deluxe).
Location is perfect - it is right in the middle of town, close to all the attractions, restuarants, and shopping. Yet the inside of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing.
Breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was AMAZING!! Excellent food, lots of choices, and of course excellent service from the staff.
I think it would be OK for kids, but it is probably better suited for adults.
My wife and I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this hotel!

Cons: We got there late at night and could not get to the street. The stuff is nice and polite. the hotel was too kitchy for us, the price was very high for the value. The room they gave us was very far and noisy from the motors of the a\c. With this cost you would expect more!

Cons: Rooms were little modest but ok. I had problem only with bathroom- the glass dor at the shower seemed like they would fall apart when opening and closing, and also - it was hard to set up the water (it was either very very hot or cold). This however didn’t influence the overall impression. I would definately come back

The room was extremely spacious with a great array of TV channels in English. The WiFi was great, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was enormous. Spotlessly clean and although there wasn't a great view, it was perfect for our stay. The location was sublime, just 2 minutes from the train station, which for tourists is great for day trips to Verona, Modena, Ferrara, Florence and even Rome! It is also just half hour by bus to the airport, which costs €6 per person ans is reliable. All in all, I'd definitely stay again!

Cons: The booking form does not accurately describe the room. Most is accurate, some irrelevant differences (carpets etc) but it clearly says there is a "coffee machine". Amazingly, there was not even a kettle to boil water for a late night cup of tea and no way of getting some easily. Reception were almost rude and stated that it is "impossible" for the room to have a kettle and disputed the schedule on the booking form. Eventually they sent up a jug and one mug/tea bags etc and then had to bring a second mug. Pretty silly behaviour. All rooms should have a kettle.

Cons: The beds shift easily making a lot of noice. One night the upstairs neighbour wore heels and that was very audible in the room. 17 minute walk to the fiera might be too much for some.

Pros: Loved the quirkiness of the hotel. Individual rooms all decorated differently. Very pleased with the hotel itself but hugely disappointing about the cost for the spa 25 euros per hour!!! Even though we could have paid we chose not to out of principal!!! Location - it’s a little bit out of the centre 10-15min walk. It nice quiet area.

It is also a walking distance away from the historical city centre (well, my definition of walking distance is 5 miles, so keep this in mind, though it wasn't really that far). Fantastic staff. To say they were just professional is to say nothing, because they extented services far beyond the call of duty. This is a hotel where I really found home away from home without the least exaggeration. In short, this is the place of my choice should I travel to Bologna again and I hope I will.

Cons: I had literally a lot of dust everywhere in the room. When I left something on the table next to my bed, It was covered with the dust. If you are allegic don't recommend. And there are very thin walls I could hear other people talking even when they were almos whispering. And heating got last nigh burned I supposed that was burned dust from the inside of heater or AC.

Cons: Paid 300 Euros per night and took a worst room with 10 square meters at the checkin. Everything was awful in the room. Worst room that I ever see in my whole life. After we went for the breakfast and asked to wait for the available table. It was sincerely hilarious . After the catastrophe situation between me and the front desk they decided to upgrade my room and recover the issue. Don’t over pay for this hotel, if you did so; contact before you arrive.

Cons: The location is quite far away from central. The bus doesn’t go through the city center during the weekend. The isolation of each room is really bad, you can hear clearly what your neighbors do. It is really disturbs. And there are no restaurant, just a small bar. Pros: The meal at the restaurant was very good (and I know what I am talking about, I leaved in Italy for many years). The staff was extremely polite and friendly, an important feature when you are traveling alone for business.
Cons: the carpet on the room was stained by the cleaning product (bleach), not a big deal but could be improved.

Pros: A well managed and maintained Novotel with friendly staff.
Cons: Chose it because it was supposed to be close to the Fair. It was a 25 min walk, at places without pavement as only main entrance was open.

Pros: Excellent location to center piazza. Everything is in close walking distance to the hotel. The parking provided is underground very close to the hotel and is essential for convenience in the city. Staff was very helpful with all recommendations and directions.

Cons: We requested a quite room because we had a very early departure. The room was very loud with street noise making it difficult to sleep.

Cons: The lifts were sloooow but that's OK. Personally I had poor wifi, not sure if it's the hotel issue or my tech. I'd wish for more comfortable pillows - all small details

Only 2minutes from the train station and about 15-20mins walk from the heart of the historic centre. The walk itself is fine however as the route takes you past plenty of shops and places to eat.
The breakfast was sufficient and varied- plenty to set you up for the day. The room was big and spacious.
I would return.

The proximity to the train station - just across the street is easy, as is is catching the Euro bus which leaves from the train station (centrale)
as do all the busses into the lovely center of the city.

Pros: Very close to station. I had a medical emergency while there and the night staff got me a taxi and made sure they took me to the right place. Breakfast was ok as well.

Cons: Air fan in room in desperate need of a dusting/cleaning. Room walls in need of painting. Otherwise, a great place to stay in Bologna. And to be honest, none of the above mattered to me but might to others.

Cons: Property was a bit sad. Walls in my room had peeling paint. Had an Odor like stale cigarette smoke. My room faced the train station and the curtains did not block out the bright lights coming from the station.

Cons: the bed on my room was very very old, the mattress was also very very old and hard with spring coils... there were hollows in the surface... and the surface was not flat... i could not sleep. it was really disappointing... i had to change two rooms to find a dissent bed to sleep.

Cons: Wish they had a bit more in the way of food at the bar, no restaurant. When you tired from jet lag or early mornings it would be easier and more pleasant to eat a fresh salad for example and sit in the garden with a glass of prosecco - which they do have!
