Pros: Service was excellent! The best I have ever experienced. Real 5 star service from the doorman, front desk, restaurant staff, bar tender, housekeeping, etc., all the employees were extremely courteous, helpful, attentive, and professional.
Hotel is very nicely and tastefully decorated, lots of artwork and fancy walls, ceilings, etc, and our room was very comfortable. They gave us a free upgrade upon check-in (from a deluxe room to a grand deluxe).
Location is perfect - it is right in the middle of town, close to all the attractions, restuarants, and shopping. Yet the inside of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing.
Breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was AMAZING!! Excellent food, lots of choices, and of course excellent service from the staff.
I think it would be OK for kids, but it is probably better suited for adults.
My wife and I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this hotel!

Cons: We got there late at night and could not get to the street. The stuff is nice and polite. the hotel was too kitchy for us, the price was very high for the value. The room they gave us was very far and noisy from the motors of the a\c. With this cost you would expect more!

Cons: The 'background' music in the restaurants was too dominant and the wrong choice. Celine Dion's penetrating voice is not pleasant during breakfast. The music at dinner was also a wrong choice and not background music. The bedside tables were too small.

Cons: The rooms (while comfortable) and bathrooms are very small, at least for the price charged. In the winter, it's impossible to turn down the heat (from 24° C) so we actually asked that they turn it completely off in our room. That allowed the temperature to drop a few degrees.

Pros: The Hotel is situated opposite the main train station so not far to go. Our room was huge and well decorated. Reception staff are fantastic let us know what is around us and where best to go and eat. Centre of Bologna just 10 min brisk walk from hotel but take it easy as lots of lovely shops and restaurants on the way down. Bologna is a really beautiful city with lots to do and see, the history and sense of style has made this a great place to stay. After a long day walking around and a good nights sleep the breakfast you get in the hotel is fantastic all fresh and tasty.

Pros: We were upgraded to junior suite for only 10€ per day and we could check out at 2:30 pm for free. The room was wide, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big with a bathtub: having a bath after 25000 steps was fantastic! There were bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very kind and professional. It was just opposite the train station and bus station, only 20 minutes walk to piazza Maggiore. I would recommend this hotel.

Cons: We stayed 2 separate nights on this trip, on identical terms (superior room). Not sure if we got an upgrade on first visit or a downgrade on second but first room was very spacious, second normal - no explanation offered, and we were too tired to ask. Second night was a Sunday, and neither hotel nor the restaurant over the street were open - a surprisingly long walk to find anything else. Internal noise proofing could be better - heard rather too much of another couple's late night activity. Not hotel's problem, but a warning for anyone going from here to catch a train: Bologna Centrale is a big station, and you have to wait for light controlled road crossings to get there - so allow plenty of time. (Also, ignore the touts at the station offering to advise you - the only hassling we faced here.)

Pros: The housekeepers are very professional.
Cons: The location is quite far away from central. The bus doesn’t go through the city center during the weekend. The isolation of each room is really bad, you can hear clearly what your neighbors do. It is really disturbs. And there are no restaurant, just a small bar. I don’t think it matches for a four stars hotel. Really feel sad.

Cons: We traveled with a super small dog in a fully zipped tote, and even though the pets are welcomed, they aren't in fact. They are welcomed by lengthy house rules, which were the odd ones out in comparison to other, more luxury , hotels we did stay previously on our trip. This made us feel uncomfortable and we did have to make some adjustments. Also, the hotel is located in some sort of an inner yard of apartment building. I would not come back to this place.

Pros: This was a great stay for me. I had some business at the Bologna Fair (which is a 10-15 minute walk), but did not want to stay far from the real city (also a 10-15 minute walk). As a bonus you are right by the station which makes it super practical for arrival and departure. But of course if you want to spend time in the city proper, this is a bit outside (not by much). When you walk around, you do not think there would be such a nice hotel hidden there, so it is a nice surprise. The breakfast is actually (by Italian standards) very nice. Lots of choice, and the people are very friendly. You have to ask for things, i.e. there is normally an American coffee and several tea choices, but if you ask they will bring you a cappuccino (or something else). I think the same is for GF options. They have things available, but not always in sight. The room/shower was actually very nice and clean. ZWi-Fi was very good for me, I needed to work at times, and had no issues with the Wi-Fi.

Pros: It was very central and only a short walk to everywhere. We had a beautiful large room overlooking the front of hotel. Looked like it was refurbished in recent months. Unfortunately we went during the Corona virus scare in early March and the hotel was quite empty which didn’t bother us. It was obviously quieter on the streets and in restaurants but all the tourist attractions were open when we visited. Basically no tourists just Italians going about their daily business. The staff couldn’t have been nicer in reception. Lamburto the bar man was very nice and very informative. Beautiful roof top views with tables and chairs outside for when weather is warmer. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: We were forced to cancel the trip due to Italy quarantine, covid lockdown and all flight to and from Italy being canceled for the period we had the trip.
I anticipated this and contacted the property 6 weeks in advance to ask for cancellation (although my booking was not cancellable). The hotel refused to cancel and refund and charged us. Shame they took advantage of this situation in such pitiful way.

It was obviously quieter on the streets and in restaurants but all the tourist attractions were open when we visited. Basically no tourists just Italians going about their daily business. The staff couldn’t have been nicer in reception. Lamburto the bar man was very nice and very informative. Beautiful roof top views with tables and chairs outside for when weather is warmer. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: This hotel was charming and in the most brilliant location for Bologna old city centre... Our room looked out on the square with the towers and we were literally. Within a few minutes of the centre of the old town....I cannot recommend it enough!

Pros: We were forced to cancel the trip due to Italy quarantine, covid lockdown and all flight to and from Italy being canceled for the period we had the trip.
I anticipated this and contacted the property 6 weeks in advance to ask for cancellation (although my booking was not cancellable). The hotel refused to cancel and refund and charged us. Shame they took advantage of this situation in such pitiful way.
Cons: Our trip included multiple bookings, with other chains as well, like Accor, Best Western (this hotel). Accor was kind and updated their policy, canceling the booking. But Best Western refused. They offered us instead 20% discount on a further booking. Very generous!

Only 2minutes from the train station and about 15-20mins walk from the heart of the historic centre. The walk itself is fine however as the route takes you past plenty of shops and places to eat.
The breakfast was sufficient and varied- plenty to set you up for the day. The room was big and spacious.
I would return.

The proximity to the train station - just across the street is easy, as is is catching the Euro bus which leaves from the train station (centrale)
as do all the busses into the lovely center of the city.

Cons: Wish they had a bit more in the way of food at the bar, no restaurant. When you tired from jet lag or early mornings it would be easier and more pleasant to eat a fresh salad for example and sit in the garden with a glass of prosecco - which they do have!

Cons: The building is very old and it needs important works. The first room we were assigned was not properly cleaned and we asked for a change. The second room was decent but very old. However, the bathroom was not properly cleaned. On the second night we stayed in a very old room with dirty carpet, dirty bathroom and the wallpapers were dirty and stains were coming from the ceiling. There were mosquitos in the room - it was february-. Not at all at 4**** level (neither 2**).
