There is a wonderful bar and a most excellent gourmet restaurant on premises where we enjoyed drinks and a stupendous dinner. The breakfast room tables overlook the city of Salzburg and the mountains. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. The spa is beautiful and you have access to the lovely outdoor jacuzzi, steam and sauna even if you do not book a service. The suites are well appointed, comfortable and luxurious.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet hotel in a beautiful location overlooking Salzburg with free parking and very friendly staff. Very nice, large and quiet room with a wonderful view and a nice seating area, very good bed and pillows and plenty of storage options. Very good food for dinner. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be happy to come again.
Cons: We had hair on and under the pillows and in the bathroom (and not just one or two) and dust on appliances in the bathroom which is a no-go for a 4-star hotel of this price category. The dinner was very good but prices were high for the size of the portions, especially for the dessert. Not a problem for us but worth to mention that due to the wooden building ironing and the use of electric kettles in the room is not possible. The main point for us is the cleaning which we think is easy to improve and then this hotel is definitely worth to come again.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nature is perfect. Pool is OK.
Cons: People at the reception were so rude. They are kind only to Germans/natives or rich people. What about a simple engineer with a Turkish family? They should be well educated for kindness and should behave equal to everyone.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The general helpful attitude of the staff.
Cons: All good!

Pros: Fantastic location overlooking Salzburg. Delicious food and drinks. Outstanding breakfast.
Cons: Very expensive dinner menu. Room was serviced despite having Do Not Disturb sign on doorknob.

IMLAUER HOTEL PITTER Salzburg - Salzburg - Building
10
9,0 Excellent (4 875 reviews)
R2 594+
Overview Reviews
Extensively renovated in 2014 the IMLAUER HOTEL PITTER Salzburg offers not only the IMLAUER Sky Bar & Restaurant with amazing views of the old town of Salzburg and culinary delights, but also the Restaurant Pitter Keller, which is the oldest beer cellar in town. There traditional austrian meals are served. The Pitter Event Center is the Centerpiece of the 4-star superior Hotel. It consists of 12 meeting rooms and is suitable for meetings, conventions and any event. Our biggest room, the unique ballroom, is flexibly divisible in 6 sections and has daylight in every area because of our unique jewel-like glass domes.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, two great restaurants on site, awesome rooms
Cons: Nothing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The check-in was smooth with the front desk staff being extra helpful and very kind. Part of our group had to arrive later in the evening due to a connecting train issue and the staff was able to assist in pre-checks for the remainder of the party as well as making sure our rooms were close together all before the remainder of the party even arrived. The hotel rooms were very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Housekeeping was accommodating and kind. A plus for us, as tourists, is that everyone spoke English very well and that eased the entire process. I would highly recommend.
Cons: The bathroom doors are frosted but still partially see-through in rooms that have a separate shower and restroom, as the restroom is very small and easy to see through when the light was on. The air control for all 3 rooms in our group didn't work, with only warm air blowing even when set to 10 degrees C. This made the nights a bit warm at times. As a workaround, we vented the windows to get fresh air and this would be fine in most instances. On our second night, however, there was a large event the music from the ballroom was very loud with the windows open, making us choose which discomfort we wanted to work with. This was likely more specific to our stay than in general.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable for three friends traveling together, and the bathroom was massive. The location is spectacular (ten minutes to both the old city and the train station) and we tremendously appreciated being able to check in early (I assume a perk that can be afforded in the low season!)
Cons: We enjoyed it all! One of the restaurants was closed for a few days but there were plenty of other offerings both locally and in the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great.Room was larger than tipical in Europe.
Cons: No
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, clean, great people, nice bar restaurant with amazing view and great location halfway between train station and olde town. Wonderful. Will go back.
Cons: Nothing, it was great.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location!
Cons: The staff weren’t so welcoming at the rooftop restaurant in the hotel which was a turn off, but the person who served was simply excellent and made the experience so worthwhile!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the Hotel right in the Center of the town
Cons: The heating in the room is from the floor and was too much and cannot be contolled so we kept our window open to keep cool even though it was snowing outside
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice but we paid good money for it. Very good breakfast. 10 minutes walking distance to city sight seeing. 15 minutes from train station. And car rentals.
Cons: Even though had a air conditioning, the room intended to get hot at some time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean hotel with elegant furnishings, near the train station and less than 20 minute walk into old town. Only a few blocks from Mirabelle Gardens.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location: close to the railway station, old town and Mirabell Palace. Amazing view from the restaurant. Good breakfast. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Pros: - Very friendly staff (reception and breakfast) - Very clean - Indoor and outdoor pool - Good breakfast - Free parking - Large room - Family friendly
Cons: - Even though the room was modern, renovated and well illuminated, the bathroom was very small, old fashioned and the light was awefull - Parking is free but only the first 4 parking spaces are paved the rest is unpaved and nasty after a heavy rain shower - Location is quite isolated, you definitely need the car to get around (restaurants, shops, etc.) -Slow WiFi connection

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room and the overall interior of the hotel were wonderful. For some reason booking was showing me that breakfast is included, but later we noticed that actually it is not, but it's fine. Breakfast was tasty btw. We had a car, so there was no issue for us to get anywhere. We enjoyed our stay completely. I remember there was a rainy day and I asked at the reception (after checkout!) if we can use their umbrellas. The staff allowed us to take them for few hours, which was surprisingly pleasant :)
Cons: No fridge :(
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very modern hotel like others in the chain - there's a lovely bar and seating area in the reception. Rooms are comfortable but on the smaller side, as with most economy hotels. Breakfast was a good European spread, although could have had some more hot items such as sausages and bacon (they don't seem to have a full kitchen on site). Views were good from the room with the snow-clad Alps in the distance but being on the 3rd floor, there is also a view over the street and the nearby supermarket.
Cons: The location is a bit outside the main city so it's either an expensive taxi or 8-10 stops on the trolley bus. The neighbourhood is a bit dead but there's a shopping centre with good restaurants and bars about 15 min away by foot.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Decorations and comfortable
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The lobby is spectacular...so modern cozy and warm. The room was spotless clean and pretty comfortable for the small size.

Pros: Good location
7,1 Good
Pros: Cleanness of room was very good and it was an excellent size. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Room was in need of some renovation. Walls had many scratches. When showering in the morning the water went cold and we had to close the tap for little while until the water became hot again. We stayed only one night and thus it was night value for money for us as we could not use any of the facilities in the Hotel. Therefore in our opinion this Hotel is not value for money for one night but it is better value if you stay at least one week.
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good but nothing extra. There were also few things Gluten free.
Cons: everything as expected but rather high price. But I know this and I accepted due to a preferred location.

Pros: Location, furtinure and style of the hotel
Cons: Breakfast was not a buffee. Very subpar for the price of the room
7,0 Good
Pros: The location itself is very nice. This is an old house from the 16th century with lots of charme and a nice view on the mountains. The hotel is nicely decorated already for the winter with lots of christmas decoration, trees, lights and big christmas balls in the backyard. We booked the apartment with 100m² for a night. The apartment has a very comfortable living room with a big lounging sofa, two big chairs, a TV with Netflix and some nice decoration. The dining room is right at the entrance of the apartment with a big Austrian fire place, which means, that this is not an open fire place but basically a heater for the room you can sit on. The two bedrooms are small but cosy with very comfortable beds. One is blue and the other one pink. Both have a walkin closet with dressers. The kitchen is up to date but lacks cuttlery and potts and the fridge is old. The bath has a small and little outdated shower, two nice sinks with silver looking appliances and a somehow small bath tub. Over all this is a comfortable apartment were you can relax and recharge your energy or just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere in this old house. The hotel itself is decorated with lots of hunting decorations and has an old charme. The breakfast is decent and there is fresh juices, jams, honey, fresh croissants, nice breads, cereals, yoghurt, fruits and a very good coffee. We liked it and felt comfortable in the hotel and apartment although there are some issues which I will describe below.
Cons: The street the hotel is situated on is a very busy street. Once we checked in the reception had a very hard time to figure out that we booked the apartment and it took them almost 10 minutes. There also was a dog barking behind the reception for the whole time which made it hard for the receptionist to fokus on us as guests. Once the receptionist finally gave us the right key card to the apartment, he send us across the street where another part of the hotel is situated. So we had to cross the busy street with the car and started to unpack the luggage for 4 persons (two children with 3 years and 4 months) and brought the luggage all the way up in the other house where the receptionist said the apartment would be. Both children were tired after the longer journey and were screaming to get into the rooms. Two children mean lots of luggage as you know. We could not find the apartment in the building so after some minutes I had to cross the street again to ask the receptionist where the apartment is located. He then asked a more experienced receptionist and she just pointed up the stairs in the main house. So... all the way back to the upper floor in the other building across the street. All luggage back in the car together with the children. Find a parking spot and all out again an up in the other house again. No sorry or anything. The rooms are nice but the furniture is mixed in time periods all over the place. You find old hallway dressers next to some tacky china dogs and dog paintings on the wall. The Fikus Benjamin in the dining room died probably months ago and was completely dry. All the leaves were on the ground and if you walked bye more leaves were falling down. A little messy. The kitchen is up to date but it litterly had no cuttlery at all. There are just 4 big plates, lots of champaign glasses, no bowls or a water boiler and just 2 small pots. So kitchen is there but you will have a hard time using it. The lights in the washroom just turn off. Good luck!

7,5 Good
Pros: Very quiet room and easy parking.
Cons: They gave me a room on the 4th floor with a dog. Was really uncomfortable to walk down in the night and the exit was far far far from the room:(
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good bed. Very clean bathroom.
Cons: The carpet in the room. The curtains have holes.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location is convenient only 10 min with car from downtown Salzburg. Hotel looks beautiful from the outside and has some garden attached as well. The rooms were clean. Amenities in the room are modest.
Cons: The hotel interior looks dated. Multiple requests for a king room were ignored. Mattresses were alright but bedding not comfortable and warm enough for winter. Proper down feather duvets and better linen would be in order. What really made me rate the stay so poorly was the unhelpful reception staff - I walked into the hotel wanting a room and the rate quoted at reception seemed exorbitantly high that I checked immediately booking.com - and found the same room significantly cheaper. When showing this to receptionist no apology, no reaction, no offer to book me into the hotel with same conditions was extended. I booked on my phone in front of the 2 ladies the online rate. Would stay there again in summertime but will make sure to reduce interactions with current reception team to a minimum.

Pros: This hotel was really central but peaceful and unstressful. It seemed to have just been completely redecorated Beautiful deco with top class fittings. It had an individual and relaxed atmosphere. Great staff who were welcoming and helpful. Also loved the low waste and low plastic approach. It was also quite funny that ‘The sound of Music’ played on a loop on the TV!
Cons: Everything was excellent
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice friendly hotel and very central.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We spent only one night here as we traveled across Europe but it was well worth it. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and convenient to the sights. But the best part was Rene, the muli-lingual front desk clerk who gave us advice on what to go, when to go and how to get there. His Bavaria ticket rail advice saved us lots of commuting cash and carried forward into Germany. We watch him give advice in German and Spanish and help people with events and directions. Fantastic staff.
Cons: It is not a luxery hotel very nice with the staff and location making it a great place to stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Salzburg old town (Altstadt) is only a ca. 5 min walk from the hotel, and the managers were all very nice and helpful when asked to help with booking events.
Cons: The WiFi was a bit sketchy; however, it worked the majority of the time for streaming Netflix after a long day of walking the hilly streets of the Altstadt.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff
Cons: Too expensive for the date of the hotel and rooms.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I were treated like "one of the family" during our stay. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the room and common areas were quite comfortable and well appointed. If you are going to Salzburg - consider the Hotel Mozart!!
Cons: No, not a thing to dislike.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great hotel with large comfortable and quiet rooms that is well located. Just off of the beaten path, but close to everything.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the Mozart was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we even got a free upgrade to the next best room! 24 hr check in was perfect as we got in late. The room was very practical, clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff gave us advice about where to go and what to see in Salzburg and the hotel was in an amazing location- walking distance to everything. The included breakfast was simple but well done. Would recommend staying here and we will be back in the future!
Cons: Nothing!!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stadtkrug is in a great location on a quite pedestrian lane in Salzburg. Only steps to outdoor cafe's and shops as well as Mirabell Palace and garden and the river. Desk staff was quite helpful including warming up our leftover pizza from another restaurant and seating us near the window. We enjoyed the outdoor rooftop dinner of beef stroganoff and spätzle. Room was clean but small and modern.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. We paid a little more for a luxury room and it was just that. Can't speak for what the regular rooms are like but I would be prepared to stay in one! The location of the hotel was perfect for walking around the old town with plenty of excellent restaurants nearby.
Cons: The only thing that would have taken this from 99% to 100% was the fact that the lighting in the room was quite bright and on at eye level - not perfect if you have a headache!! But otherwise it was all great!
7,0 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: No tea/coffee facilities in room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastically located in Old town Salzburg, this hotel and its staff are brilliant. From the minute we checked in till the time we checked out the staff here couldn’t help us enough. Christof’s advice about where to go, what to see and what to not bother with was perfect. The restaurant has the best steaks in Salzburg with a lovely bar to go with it. The breakfast was outstanding, but the staff and location make this hotel just perfect. Cannot recommend this hotel high enough, simply superb.
Cons: Bed was a little firmer than we would normally like.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: i spent a 3 night stay here just prior to xmas and enjoyed it. Hotel is perfectly located, in the middle of the city and a 5 min walk from old town. The hotel itself is very old world atmospheric. The room was small, even for a single, but it did have everything i needed and was very comfortable and clean, perfect for a short break. Similarly, very nice bathroom and shower. I didn't use the bar, but the breakfast in the morning was fine; everything you might want really, hot and cold food. Would definitely stay here again
