Cons: I would have expected more than frozen French fries (which were not very hot) for the ridiculous cost of €43. The tables in the Winter Gardens had a shelf underneath which banged into our legs when we moved in the chairs to eat. Most people only had drinks not meals. Perhaps it is more suited as a Lounge Bar.

Pros: I was on a tour. The first night was on me. very good room and this extended to second night. Off i went on the tour and returned for last night. This room was very small and nothing like the first night. There was painting and construction on floor and we had to pass through this to get to the room. The hotel did call to let me know about the length of work and offered a new room. I was too tired to move. They did send up a lovely tray of fruit and bottle water. I think the size of the room was picked by the tour not the hotel. The staff was great.

Our room was dated, to a poor spec and it was incredibly dirty - there were old stains on the walls and floors, and mould in the grouting of the bathroom. I also found a clump of black hair in the bathroom. The room was also facing the road so it was noisy all night. I would have requested to change rooms if we hadn't arrived late in the evening and only had one night's stay. The whole place had rather a soulless feel to it. Frankly was not worth the 200E we paid.

The hotel staff was so kind and made sure we had an amazing stay especially a young lady name Angelica from the front desk. She went out of her way to make sure we have an great time in Athen, she took her time telling us where to go and what places to go eat delicious Greek food. She was very professional and sweet. Definitely I would recommend to all my friends and family to stay here your staff is on top of everything to put the customers first.

Cons: 1. We chose this hotel ONLY because the Kayak info said a "hotel shuttle" is available. We wanted to be close to the airport to fly out the next morning. We thought we would save the expense of a taxi to and from the airport. There was no shuttle. When we call the hotel, they told us no such thing as a shuttle. They would only arrange to send me a taxi @ €45.00. And this could only be arranged via email...not over the ph. We simply took a cab to the hotel # €43.00. To the airport the next morning...no shuttle. We took a taxi @ €44.00. If you people do no have a shuttle like we are use to in the US...do not mislead innocent pepole like us. That is false advertising. The availability of a shuttle in the ONLY reason why we picked this hotel.
2. At the front desk I changed out some US$ for € after checking in. We plan to do some last minute shopping before we fly out the next day. What we did not know was that, that very day was a national holiday (the Verging Mary Holiday ) all the stores were closed. On checking out the next morning they would not take back the € currency. I told them that we did not know that there was a holiday. They said they can't take it back. That was just not right. These 2 things has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I am not a happy camper...especially with the shuttle issue. That was flat out wrong. You can't say that there is a shuttle when there is none. People from the US is use to taking a free shuttle ride to and from the airport to hotels and rent a car locstions.

Pros: I enjoyed the rooftop bar and pool very much. The location isn't too bad. Metro and taxis easily available on a daily basis. Rooms were average but clean and comfortable.
Cons: The wifi only available in the common area was a big thumbs down. Also it wasn't good connection if more then a few people were on it.

Cons: Our only complaints were the small refrigerator in the room barely got cold and when we pulled the cabinet away from the wall to check if it was plugged in, it hadn’t been cleaned back there in years. Absolutely filthy (cigarette butts, debris, dirt).
However, if the refrigerator was working properly we would have never known. The rest of the room was very clean. (Carpet was a little rough, but not terrible)

Cons: Extremely poor air conditioning system. Difficult to feel comfortable in the room. In fact my daughter had to request another room at 4am because of the heat. They do not provide an iron or ironing board- hotel policy apparently. But they do provide an ironing service at a cost of course - what a joke! The bathrooms look like they were built at the same time as the Parthenon! There was a dirty looking shower curtain in a dirty looking bath. There was no hook to hang the shower nozzle. You had to hold it in one hand. The cost to simply attach a small bracket to the shower wall so you can hang the nozzle would be minimal I would expect .

Cons: The shower door leaked and created a mess everytime one takes a shower. If you have long hair, the hairdryer in the bathroom is not sufficient to dry your hair. There is also no power outlet near a mirror in order to style your hair. The ladies at reception were not very friendly with check in or out for that matter.

Cons: Pool hours are very limited, I figured I could go for a swim after being out for the day only to be told the pool closes around 1830. Presumably, they don't want to sacrifice the bar ambiance around the pool by people actually using the pool. And it didn't reopen until 9am in the morning, too late to be useful before needing to run out for the day. Typical terrible Greek hours. Very disappointed that the pool, one of the main reasons I booked the hotel, was 100% useless. You should consider it for show only.
The hotel isn't in a bad area (by comparison to the rest of Athens), but the walk to the metro is not the most enjoyable and I kept an eye out for unsavory people. I was surprised to find a Novotel in such a residential area - nothing close by that you'd want to walk to (except the metro to head to a more interesting area). The view from the roof could be Lebanon or the Gaza Strip if you didn't see the Acropolis way off in the distance.
