A room with a lake view will allow to enjoy the natural beauty of the place to its fullest. Rooms that are facing to the park still offer the view on mature trees. A 20 minutes walk leads you to the old part of Annecy along the lake´s shore. The interior is stylish with references to the Art Deco phase, displaying 3 meter high ceilings. Facilities are impeccable and clean.

Cons: Breakfast was a bad surprise, even a complete disappointment when comparing it to the quality of service everywhere else in the hotel. Unfriendly waiter, uncooked scrambled eggs looking to have been poured directly from the tetra pack, dried potatoes and even dryer “pain perdu”, smoked salmon tasted not very fresh. Decidedly not worth the 25 euros charged.

Pros: This hotel was in a lovely spot,opposite the park and lake and metres from the cobbled streets and canals. It had a spa bath which was very welcome as we just completed a ten day trek. Hotel very comfortable. When we first arrived the reception staff person was not very helpful, but when we returned later there was new staff on who were extremely helpful. It seemed expensive for a 3 star hotel, but I think annecy is just generally expensive. I did not have breakfast there but the breakfast area looked lovely, on a balcony over looking the lake.

Cons: Room was cold. Bathroom tiling on the floor was seriously dirty. The grout was no longer clean but black with wear and tear. The thermostat in the shower didn't work so it was impossible to get a hot shower just a slightly warm one. The towels were so thin and old, as I dried myself one tore. They need replacing. The hotel rate was not cheap and therefore these issues are unacceptable.

Cons: The hotel advertised air conditioning; but there was no AC. Apparently AC is seasonal and the hotel changed to heating. So, the hotel does not have true AC. And, it was a warm day in late September. The staff said ‘just open your window or sliding door’. But, that potentially lets bugs into the room. Unfortunately, the hotel overlooked a medium size parking lot and there were other hotels adjacent. People talked below our window until 00:30 hours and then crews arrived about 05:00 hours to clean outside areas. The conclusion: An uncomfortably warm and noisy room.

Cons: A small, cramped room, with an unpleasant smell in the bathtub, may have been sprayed before, (have to say that they offered to replace a similar room on the first and noisy floor ,we refused), no room to open a suitcase, the bed really high (74 cm) and problematic, noise from the street,(non-sealed windows), the venta was not working, the safe was disabled and homeless at the hotel entrance.

However we were able to mitigate this by taking the number 14 bus on a tour of the new town to the basilica viewpoint and walking down to old town from there or by taking the car half way to town where we coukd park on street for free.

Cons: Overall experience was good. At checkout though something odd did occur. The gentlemen attending me said to have given me the correct change, 42 eur. He showed me a 20 eur and 2 10 eur and 2 eur. All was rushed and he only gave me 22 back instead of 42 eur. It took me a few minutes while I was still in the lobby to figure it out. Then I approached and said I think he didn't give me correct change. At first he brushed it off since there were more clients. I waited for them to finish to not be a pest. Then I asked again and asked to check paperwork in case it fell. No luck. Then I asked to check cameras and that I was willing to wait for security. He quickly agreed to give me the 20 eur. Not sure if he was just nice or realized he didn't give it to me. But I felt like I was scammed but all ended well. I don't want to judge his character without proof but all was odd. i wouldn't let this stop anyone from booking. The experience overall was good. Just a precaution.

Cons: The hotel was a long walk from the centre of Annecy.We walked along the river into town but had to leave before it got dark, there was no lighting along the river walk so we would have felt unsafe. The hotel staff were lovely but the hotel needs to be refurbished. It was only just alright for a one night stay. There were no restaurants open near the hotel on Sunday evening, when we were there,the hotel did not serve food either. We did not take breakfast.

The room was air conditioned which gave immediate relief on arrival as it was a very hot day. Cons: Price is relatively high, maybe because this is a city for vacation and I travel in high season. Bathroom is clean, but when I take a shower, the shower base and curtain cannot prevent water from running out of the pan and making the floor wet. In addition, elevator is not available, I find a little bit hard to carry my big luggage to the 2nd floor.
