Pros: Everything was very good, Philip is very friendly and the room perfect clean and comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was continental style, and we were served personally by Filip. There was fresh fruit on offer, eggs and a combination of breads, meats and cheeses. The setting was wonderful, downstairs in a dining area near the kitchen. There was wonderful furniture all around, with lighting showing off art and pictures. It was quiet as we seemed to be the only guests at the time so it meant direct service and being well taken care of. The whole house looked great, lots of period features. It was in an excellent location, with a park nearby and within a few minutes walking distance of the beach. Filip also gave us some recommendations such as a great restaurant, and when we wanted to go to Bruges, suggested taking the train which worked out well.
Cons: We came with our dogs - they were made very welcome and we were well supported with them. Only one small point - we needed to climb many flights of steps to the top of the building to our room and that was not so easy with our dogs
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decoration. fantastic bronzes pictures everywhere. Lot of attention to detail.
Cons: 8 small flights of stairs. My bad knee struggled to top floor room. This isn't a criticism. It is what it is. Next time though I'd make sure it was lower floor room.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I liked the style of the hotel, that’s why I choose online this Hotel. Quality of hotel presentation in web very clearly expressed, no surprises when arrived at the hotel. Thanks for the good time spend there.
Cons: Functioning of television, I could not really utilize the proper service of tv channels due to the confusion of two remotes controls.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome. The owner shows great dedication in welcoming his guests and ensuring excellent breakfast. The house is wonderfully renovated taking into account its history and original architecture. The B&B has its own covered parking across the street so no need to pay for parking in the street itself.
Cons: The mattress was too soft but that obviously depends on personal preference.

Pros: Fabulous breakfast after a most comfortable night’s sleep in a huge double bed in a characterful and delightful room under high rafters in my top floor room.
Cons: Absolutely nothing! Loved the place.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. We had a very nice room on the top floor which was very quiet. The owner was very friendly and helpful
Cons: A lift would have been a bonus, but it was very good exercise!

Pros: Beautiful traditional accommodation, superb breakfast, great location and friendly staff made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Nothing at all, it could not be faulted.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Personal service. Great breakfast served at the table. The interior design. Good beds. The central but still quiet situation.
Cons: Due to unforseen circumstances, the private parking was not reachable. Check with the owner if this is important for you.

7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent charming old house. Good breakfast. Close to the sea and at the same moment away from the crowds.
Cons: Staff was too busy on check in and didn't help a lot. Very small rooms. You can hear everything from neighbors.

Pros: The hotel offers free bikes for the guests
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well situated and very clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The on-site bar/restaurant closed in the evening from about 6.30/7.00pm so we had to walk into town. Not a problem though as there are lots of nice places on the beach not far away.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Only slight problem. Beds a bit soft, for me. Great Host, superb breakfast.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very nice breakfast, very comfortable bed and the room was already cooled down ( hottest day ever in the records ) with the air-co when we arrived. Peaceful and quirky.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was easy to find and close to the promenade. Comfortable accommodation, public rooms elegantly furnished and exceptionally clean throughout Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and polite. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of choice. I would highly recommend this hotel
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Superior boutique hotel within a short walk of the tram stop and the beach. Comfortable and stylish with added touches like the Easter eggs left in our room on arrival and pretty springlike decorations in the breakfast room and bedroom. Helpful and friendly staff/proprietor. Delightful hotel and perfect for a weekend break just half an hour from Dunkirk's ferry port.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location superb. Parking good. Owner/staff excellent - even booked a local restaurant for us at short notice. Nice breakfast
Cons: Room was a little cramped. Shower over bath - we prefer shower cubicle.
Hotel Kristoffel - Middelkerke - Building

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Kristoffel in Middelkerke, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Ostend Beach and Middelkerke Beach.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super materials that look and feel great! Great choice on TV, like on many other things. Super friendly staff.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room matched the description. Breakfast is also good. Great venue and value
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside the hotel is not so recognizable, but the owners have turned the inside into a very nice and comfy B&B. Very hospitable and friendly staff, super clean room and bathroom with soft towels. Varied and tasty breakfast. Good location, situated near Casino Middelkerke. We would definitely stay here again for a shortstay at the seaside.
Cons: On a very personal note: the bed was a bit too hard for my back but sizewize it was a proper double bed. The hotel does not offer parking, but there are parking facilities nearby (and its free during winter season). Don't let the tramline put you off. We had a room at the front and it was very soundproof so you don't hear the tram driving by.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice renovated hotel with great usefull personel. Bathroom with big mirror (something for womans}. Breakfast were way over my expactations. close to the beach and parking. Lady,I guess owner of the hotel, is very positiveand is always ready to help You. I wish them all the best in business.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: room 6 has a spa bath which was very relaxing.
7,9 Good
Cons: No kettle to make a hot drink in the evenings
7,5 Good
Pros: I requested some soya milk to have with my breakfast and I could see that the owner had bought a carton of it especially, and it was brought to the table every morning. She had also gone out of her way to buy me some soya yoghurts, that I hadn't even asked for. So very thoughtful. Thanks
Cons: Stairs steep and narrow and no lift. No hot drinking facilities in room. On street parking a bit difficult.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. This hotel has 7 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The buffet breakfast was absolutely great with the large variety of food and drink items. Similarly, the recreational facilities, including swimming pool, jacuzzi and the sauna were fantastic. I certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Ostend.
Cons: No hotel restaurant - Providing a restaurant service for lunch and dinner on site would make the stay even better for families with children.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was immaculate. Staff on reception were really helpful. The location was amazing and there was a great choice for breakfast. Parking was safe and easy.
Cons: There could maybe have been some entertainment in the evenings to keep people in the hotel. Only one piano evening 6 until 8 I think. We went out every night anyway but maybe would've stayed in the bar had there been something to stay for.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is a good hotel in a great position on the beachfront and also near the town and shops. The rooms are big and well appointed , it has a good pool and spa on the upper floor. Its right next to the casino. We would stay again.
Cons: It has underground parking but drive slowly its tight. But very convenient.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location is right on the beach, hotel facilities are fine and the parking space price is good. Breakfast is nice and there are many choices for every diet.
Cons: The room was not particularly clean. Vacuuming was done one time in my 6 days stay and very superficial. Dust was having a party under the beds. The balcony was unusable, very dirty, no light bulb and I believe that something was nesting in the place where that light bulb should have been. Restaurant staff is not very polite and after one staff member set us down at the table another came and claimed that the table was reserved (for breakfast) and she did not believe that a staff member invited us to stay at that table.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location Great pool good service Top staff
Cons: Under the bed was too much dust
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great room, wonderful breakfast! Great place right on the beach!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly, the room was very clean and we really enjoyed the breakfast. There was a little robot greeting the people in the hallway that kids loved and the location of the hotel is great, right next to the beach. They also have a nice swimming pool.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The sea-view was amazing, and we even got to enjoy some fireworks! The hotels location is amazing. The room was clean and the staff was really friendly during our stay, luckily not as stiff as in most 4-star hotels. The pool was fun, sadly the jacuzzi was OOO. The breakfast was amazing and huge! The selection was enormous, only thing that I was missing was maybe some sunny-side up egg. But overal the breakfast was 10/10.
Cons: When we entered the room there was a smudge on the couch in the room, but that didn't bother me that much, I know how hard housekeeping work is. Overal the rooms where tight and clean.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Sun umbrella on the balcony would have been a good idea.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, the bed was comfortable. Parking available.
Cons: Quality / Price rapport, clearly insufficient. The room (312) is too small for the price, I did not unpack my suitcase, I never saw a wardrobe that tiny for 2 adults. The cap of the offered bottle of water was open. Our room was located right next to the 'room cleaners' technical room where all the cleaning material was stored. Every morning we got the disturbing noises of the cleaners pulling their material out of that room and all the material, dirty laundry etc..stayed in the corridor for most of the day. Also repeated knocking on doors asking to clean the room although the 'do not disturb' light is on. Small mirror in bathroom needed fixing.

Pros: Staff, location, room size, size of Gin measures, slide!
6,3 Good
Pros: The bed and the spacious room
Cons: The bathroom was beautiful but not spotless (towel with stain on, hair on shower wall).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They’ve created an unbelievably cool vibe. The “lounging area” has music playing 24/7, a slide surrounded by grandstands and many creative areas to chill and socialize. Signs reading “smile at strangers”, “be the reason somebody smiles today” and other funny, vibey signs. The rooms are compact but creatively designed and comfortable. The staff are incredible. So helpful (even fixed my scooter) and informative (even prepared an itinerary of things to do). Although I left well after check out time, nobody said anything and there were no penalties. I would not hesitate to go there again. And again. And again............
7,1 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and courteous
Cons: The room was very warm and the only ventilation the balcony door. Difficult to keep open when wind blowing. Also no restaurant in hotel for dinner.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cleaning woman so friendly and hotel very nice
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We liked the style, the layout of the extra large rooms to give privacy for families, the downstairs recreation areas, the friendly staff and the ease of wi-fi set-up. All in a great location between the beach and the parking.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything mostly the style and the kindness of the personal the bar and the seats etc.
Cons: Nothing except that the room was not 100% clean when we entered but it was only some details

Pros: The room was perfect for a family of 6. Caroline was really helpful and friendly and breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: Nothing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: They prepared a special breakfast for me because I had to leave early
6,7 Good
Pros: very family friendly. Good breakfast.
7,1 Good
Pros: Our host was really friendly and helpful and did everything for our 5 month old baby to feel at home: a baby bed, a microwave at our disposal, a room on groundfloor level close to the dining hall. The breakfast was delicious and vareous with fresh and local products. The location of the dining hall was spaceous so we were certainly not back to back with other people or other tables which was nice.
Cons: The luxurious and modern photos on the internet made us choose this hotel. On the outside the modern building with its offwhite walls looks wonderful and is surrounded by green. However, once opening the door to our room it looked really dark and outdated. When we saw the other building "Luxus" while doing a tour on the domain we realised that we were in the rather outdated part of the hotel... The floors were aged, the wallpaper was dark with traces of a giant self-adhesive sticker that was no longer there. The ventilation in the bathroom was really loud. There was a mouldy smell in the room's closet which smelled troughout the room. We booked last minute and maybe therefore we have been given this room, however we don't feel like it carries out the same spirit as the rest of the hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff
Cons: Nothing really
10,0 Excellent
Pros: IT was perfect!
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming and more than happy to suggest local amenities and sights. We stayed in a terrace room which was cosy and well equipped and had patio doors that opened into a nice outdoor space. There was a communal lounge space too offering small kitchenette and games!
Cons: Nothing!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the 2 bedroom rooms so that we could put the children to bed and still have an evening. The breakfast spread was wonderful including cava at an extra cost. The communal living room with honesty bar was a lovely place for both the children to play and grown ups to relax. Also useful to have the kitchen to warm food and wash bottles.
Cons: The location isn't great, right by an airport and outside of the main town. It's not noisy or disruptive, just not very picturesque. You also need a car to get around. There is a lovely little village nearby though and the benefits of the property outweigh this slight negative.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Everything ok
6,7 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy, car parking good. Lovely village location.
Cons: The hotel advertised a bar, but it was closed due to a function. We were made to feel unwelcome because we asked for drinks and asked for more ice. One of the reasons we had chosen this hotel because it had its own bar. Main road to the village was closed with no alternative directions, so difficult to get to.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Room was good
Cons: claimed did nőt have out reservation bút have us a room. This could have been an excuse ás the Restaurant was closed and they were setting up fór a wedding next day. restaurant closed was a problém ás only a tiny village and only other place was fully booked. had to go 8 km away to Verné itself.

Cons: breakfast,of all the places we stayed at this was by far the worst, not much choice and not much of it
7,5 Good
Pros: lovely hotel and village was quiet and peaceful .
Cons: location was a wedding venue so staff were busy , no meals served over the weekend so not impressed , could have been warned when booking, also breakfast very bland , all cold , no hot food even toast would have been nice.

7,5 Good
Pros: Great location of the property!! really near to everything, the beach, our favorites restaurant, the shopping center. We having a good time in Oostende. A beautiful apartment with balcony!
Cons: The 2 pers. bed and the pillow were uncomfortable for us, its a sofa bed. Our daughter got 1 pers. bed and it's much better.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We didn't take breakfast. Location is perfect for shopping and beach promenade, hence noisy in the weekend evenings, well ...
Cons: no areas for improvement!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very well centrally located close to beach and The Kursall where we saw Alan Parsons.
Cons: Bed mattress too soft to my liking.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The quality of the bed and of the bed sofa, the shower, well equipped kitchen, efficient noise isolation, good airco, strong wifi, excellent location at 3 min walk from beach, shops and casino, the smooth check in, 2 elevators.
Cons: Not a problem as I read in advance : The studio was tiny. Only one chair at the table. Luckily we were only 2 persons so 1 of us could have breakfast either sitting on the bed or on a luggage reck.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great beds, location and nice design
9,6 Excellent
Pros: De locatie was perfectG
5,4 Okay
Pros: Reception only opens 3-8pm and zero flexibility
Cons: Looks better online than off line...Booked the most expensive room (Superior Studio) at the rate of Euro 175 / night...What a disaster...within 47 photos on booking.com there’s never a photo of the window for this category of room. I know why now...The window is facing a wall (security staircase). I have claustrophobia and had a panic attack as soon as I arrive. This is false publicity and should be 100% mentioned on-line. I wouldn’t have booked the “Superior Studio) But because there is absolutely zero service, I had to call the night manager who said there’s nothing he can do. The reception is only open between 3pm-8pm.. If you need to arrive earlier or later, don’t bother, daily cleaning doesn’t exist and for new towel, you have to pay extra €15... It’s a joke. The room is nicely decorated but they forgot to work on lighting: either all the bright & ugly lights are all on or it’s the darkness in a very dark room. Horrible...Do I need to mention numerous stains and holes and nowhere to hang towels in the tiny bathroom? I thought I booked the biggest, best room, I got the worst, stained, dark facing a wall room with no service. You are required to do your own dishes before departure...
4,0 Okay
Pros: Water was hot. Balcony outside room.
Cons: After reading the review I was really disappointed with my room, it looked like it was furnished as a DHSS hostel. Shower head did not fit in holder properly so it rotated with water pressure. Breakfast was average. I have stayed in better hotels for less money. This hotel caters for a certain type of person. People who like a 'sing song' in the bar and eat food like they have at home. Whilst I booked a double room, I actually got 2 single beds pushed together - I would call this a 'twin' room.
2,7 Mediocre
Pros: very little. i will remain anonymous but the hotelier will know who i am
Cons: all plug sockets hanging out of walls. someone's dirty underpants under bed, rickety old lumpy bed.tv impossible to see on top of wardrobe. pointless. got trapped in lift 5 times. staff unhelpful about problems and difference in booked price and their charged price.

Cons: That we were only staying one night!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, god parking, pleasant garden, spacious room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Well presented breakfast table with a good choice. The rooms were spacious. The hotel has good parking, an impressive garden and is within easy walking distance of the centre of Veurne.
Cons: The shower facilities were modern and very stylish but also very awkward to use.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close walk to town short drive to other towns / coast. Ideally placed. Parking was easy and secure. Room was comfortable and quite large.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The welcome by the owner/staff was lovely and the hotel itself is beautiful with really pretty gardens. The breakfast was great and the larger room of the two we booked was lovely. Only a 5km drive from the beach too and the town of Veurne is really charming.
Cons: There was no air conditioning which was a problem (although we did go in the heatwave!) and I hadn't realised that the hotel wasn't manned after 6pm so there was no way of getting a drink or any food. There were lots of restaurants locally so most people wouldn't be bothered, but my Mum can't really walk so we were rather constrained. If I went back I would probably take a kettle/cups etc.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely looking hotel and garden, staff extremely welcoming. Room was comfortable enough but no better than an Ibis - on the cramped side, poor lighting. Bathroom also on the tiny side, also with poor lighting. There are presumably better rooms available.
Cons: Limited hours for reception, and a rear-access system which is not idiot-proof - get the key fob explained so you don't press the wrong part!

Pros: Lovely interior, super friendly staff and great location.

7,5 Good
Pros: Location very good , near to sea front. Staff very friendly , very good breakfast , lots of choice.
Cons: Parking expensive , either on the streets or multi storey
7,9 Good
Pros: We stayed here as it is a convenient location for the beach and sailing club. Sailing was our sole reason for being in Ostend. The breakfast was good and perfectly presented and the staff were attentive. The situation is quiet, yet convenient for sightseeing or dining out.
Cons: We have stayed here before, but this time we found the new bedroom layout rather strange. We liked the new decor, but the toilet was located in a windowless “cupboard “ next to the dressing area and away from the main bathroom and washbasin. So a night time trip to the loo became a trek around the bed and back to access hand washing! We also thought the modern basin design strange as there was no plug, inevitably we wasted water by having to wash or shave under a running tap!

Pros: Everything. Great room, great breakfast and fantastic staff. Easy overnight parking and 20min drop off outside the hotel. Excellent location with everything an easy walk away.
Cons: Rooms were a little to warm. A fan maybe?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Always nice to visit very friendly staff always very helpful
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Cosy and clean.
Cons: Very poor noise insulation in the rooms. The single room is extremely small (approx 3*2m), but the bathroom is nice and practical. I wouldn't recommend if you expect to spend some extra time in your room.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, the staff very friendly and the location good
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room we booked was a good size. We were at the top and had a terrace. The room was a bit warm but it is summer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price and quite good. Parking in the street was fine. You have to pay 3 euros for 4 hours until 8pm when ti is free until 9am the next day.
Cons: Some of the furniture in the room was excellent like the two soft chairs but the sofa and the desk were not. The desk was not really practical. The carpet and curtains in the room seemed to have some dust and perhaps they need to freshen those up.
7,9 Good
Pros: The place was very clean, good breakfast. Everywhere we went a nice, fresh scent welcomed us. The bathroom was really modern. Vey good wifi for work. Friendly staff
Cons: We came into our room, room 35 and it was really(!!) small. The pictures all show a nice romantic bed but that wasnt the case. We were very dissapointed at first, but the cleanliness and hygiene of the place made up for it. The location could be better, no free or available parking space nearby. Door closes at midnight
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very friendly staff. Rooms were bright and modern. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
7,1 Good
Pros: Great location. It was very hot weather and though there’s no air conditioning in the rooms, there was a tiny fan provided. The bathroom was very modern and great. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: With the hot weather and no air conditioning in the hotel, it was quite hot in the breakfast room. The mattress in the single room I stayed in was much too soft. Never had one that soft in a hotel. Seriously did my back in unfortunately. However, maybe they are better in the other rooms. Earplugs were a good thing to have, as my room was street side and in the very early morning you heard the bins being picked up and the seagulls are a nuisance when trying to sleep.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly hosts and excellent breakfast
7,1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: I was under the impression that there was a private parking? Since it did state parking provided at the time of booking? But after making the booking found out that you have to pay 17 Euro for 1 day from 1PM till 1PM the next following day............... Meaning if you plan to stay one week by car be prepared for a hefty parking bill.............. Parking space provided is within walking distance from the hotel in a public underground parking. And that for me was quite a down point to be honest.

Pros: Comfortable little room with a great view. Breakfast was perfect!
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location is good, breakfast nice with nice selection of fresh breads, homemade jams and fresh fruits. Room 12 is possibly smallest room we have ever been allocated for a hotel! The room was clean with a decent size shower and clean towels, but this was the only positive I can give on the room I’m afraid!
Cons: Room (12) this room is very small and very hot with no air con! Looks out into harbour but it is extremely noisy and having been allocated probably the smallest and hottest room in the hotel we had to sleep with the windows open hence every noise could be heard including the extremely noisy alarm system going off every time the bridge is raised at the harbour!!! We were given a fan to help with the heat however this did not help much and it was also very noisy!! On our last morning we woke up to a really bad sewerage smell in the room, obviously they were having a problem with their waste system! This was not pleasant in an extremely hot room!! Also our room is allocated across from the laundry which would not have helped with the heat in the room! When checking out we asked do they have air con in any of their rooms and we have yet to hear yes or no! The gentleman at reception told us they have newer rooms and extending the hotel but he did not give us the answer to our question which believe should have been No!! Staff were pleasant, however not over friendly. The waiter at breakfast on first day was very nice however the waiter the next two days was not so friendly and at some occasions looked like he didn’t want us there... it would have been nice if he could have wished us ‘Good Morning’ and ‘have a nice day’ but we have yet to hear either!!! Overall it was an ok hotel but would not be one of my recommendations I’m afraid!

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Maybe in the summer Time would be better to have some appropiate blankets. With that (only big one) was very hot over the night.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location near by train station, walking distance to the shopping and the beach. Good breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom 's door is very noisy. Not only in our room but also another rooms near by. We could hear the door bang very loud. At night, we woke up a few times when other guests using their bathrooms. Another thing that we found It's too strange was "the free drinking water " : there is only one bottle (50cl) per room per stay. So keep in mind, even though you stay 2 nights, 1 week or 2 weeks, you will get only 1 bottle!!!
7,5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and really good location

Pros: we have been staying in Oostende for several days either in the summer or at Christmas for about 30 years.. and this time we have found the Burlington to be the best. even last year we stayed at the Andromeda but i think the Burlington comes out on tops.. you could not fault the friendly staff. the rooms and off course Ellen she could not do enough to make your stay comfortable,
Cons: there is not a thing i can say

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a lovely experience at this hotel it was nice and clean and the staff were friendly
7,5 Good
Cons: The room did not have a safe or a fridge. For the money that was perhaps to be expected but my friends who booked at the same time had a fridge. The room did not have a phone and when I queried this I was told that no rooms had phones and that the management had taken the phones out. As a female single traveller I did not feel safe and secure in view of this. Everything else was fab but the phone situation may well put me off staying here again.
6,7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was ok, location is good and the room is comfortable.
Cons: In the day of the check-in, before my arrival at the hotel they tried to charge in my credit card the value of the stay when in my reservation was saying that the payment would be done in the hotel upon my arrival. Right after that (before my arrival), the hotel called saying that if I didn't arrive by 19h they would cancel my reservation. That makes no sense at all. Was very disappointed with their approach, and made a complaint about it once I arrived in the hotel. Another thing that happened was on the morning of the check-out, I don't know why but they though that we have checked out and entered the room while we were there. Again complaint in the reception. In general, did not like the service.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in ! A little jewel of a hotel, right on the edge of 'downtown' Ostend. Didn't have any outstanding character or personality, but was very small, very clean, economical and might perhaps suit a business traveller rather than for a family on a week's seaside holiday.
Cons: Nothing. It suited our purposes perfectly.
6,7 Good
Pros: Positive aspect about the hotel location: the property is very near to the beach. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Negative aspect about the hotel location: the street is very noisy at night. The room rates are very overpriced given the facilities, the comfort and the services we got.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Did not eat Breakfast at Hotel but from observation it looked fine. The location was excellent, close to the sea front, close to centre of town, restaurants and bars. ten minutes walk to train station. The room was fine, the bathroom excellent. (as I get older that is increasingly important!)
Cons: It is a minor gripe, particularly as two of the days we were there were the hottest of the year, air conditioning would have been nice.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Close to beach
Cons: No air con far too hot asked for sugar was given 1 extra sachet
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff excellent. Room was very clean and lot's of Room
Cons: Nothing everything great.

Pros: The location right on the beach was wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and had so many choices for European and American travelers. This will be a place we stay again!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great position just on the coast and the breakfast choice and freshness was brilliant.
Cons: There is a lack of parking close to the hotel.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is really good. Couldn't ask for a more convenient location - right on the beach.
Cons: Twin beds cannot be attached together and are prone to sliding. The toilet space could be bigger.
9,2 Excellent
Cons: We woke up from a nearby building site 2 times. But this is outside the power off the hotel. For the rest really nice!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had booked a studio overlooking the sea. However, when we arrived, that side of the hotel was still under scaffolding with workers working on the building. We were VERY unhappy and disappointed but were told that we had been advised of the situation when doing the booking. That WASN'Tthe case ! We declared that we couldn't possibly stay there as indeed that was the case (there was no light because of the scaffolding, dust everywhere and cheerful workers whistling their way through the day). We were, as a result, given a big family room with separate living room and kitchen corner (we would have had that with the studio). So, unfortunately, we didn't get our Seaview but the accommodation was very pleasant !
Cons: See above !
5,0 Okay
Pros: Small room very humid and some bad smell. Planes liftoffs land just over the hotel. Breakfast was good. Location on the beach good.
Cons: Noisy smelly and humid. Tiny lift takes ages to come.
5,8 Okay
Pros: I’ve been before but had a ground floor studio which was lovely. The room was clean and well stocked with towels, enough UK tv to keep up to date etc. Breakfast was good with nice outdoor seating. Well located tram stop right outside, plenty of restaurants and bars with a supermarket not too far away. Dog friendly
Cons: It’s not value for money. The lift is painfully slow and there’s no aircon. On entering the room the door banged the bathroom door and jammed. Pets in the breakfast room???? What’s that all about....
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had just a few steps to a huge, beautiful beach. The room was well-appointed for a family of four, with sleeping areas separated. Excellent shower installations, fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room, as well as some dishes and cutlery. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, with many warm and cold choices. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: The room got quite hot in the morning sun (no a/c, though two fans were provided), and the shower drain was a bit slow, causing a flood in our first day. This was cleared up, however, and the hotel gave us a bottle of Prosecco for our troubles.
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: it was smelly. It felt dirty. I could hear toilet flashing from the surrounding rooms. the view was terrible. breakfast was not good.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast everything laid beautifully, and it stays open well past 10am. Lovely appointed rooms, the staff couldn't be more attentive, free water very important to us.
Cons: The terrace could have better lighting, in fact no low level lighting at all, for safety reasons it needs a balcony rail overlooking city nine floors up ! ( surprised there isn't a safety by-law ? ) Terrace tables not emptied the entire weekend so rather off putting. They suggest breakfast if wanted on the terrace but not cleaned so wouldn't recommend. Bathrooms need ventilation fan, after shower no escape for the steam except into the room. After 10pm no reception, don't forget your room card !

7,1 Good
Pros: very close to the sea and in the center from Ostende Parking possibility organized bei the hotel Very friendly staff
Cons: 2 star hotel was absolutely corespendonding with the offered, but a price from over 400 Euros was overpriced for this Hotel. Even if it was one of the last available rooms.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: it was very pleasant experience meeting with the owner Kai. he was most helpful in every aspect.
Cons: The shower set in our room is due for replacement. it does not stay in place and causes some inconveninece

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel. Clean, 5 minutes walk to The beaches and the hosts are really Very nice And warme-hearted.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is my second time staying, because of the young owner Kai's great hospitality. A sweet family runs this cosy hotel.
Cons: For their reference for the future, here I sincerely suggest these. The sound of the door of other room opens and closes and voices of other guests in corridor is clearly heard which interrupts sleep in the morning. The mattress of the bed needs more comfortability.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, clean comfortable room. Great size for 3 people .
Cons: No kettle in the room for tea/coffee
5,4 Okay
Pros: The first time I met the staff they were nice and welcoming
Cons: I barely saw the staff after that, my main interaction was with the cleaning staff. There is no reception, everything is separated.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The loft room was charming and extremely comfortable. We particularly loved the lovely deck overlooking beautiful gardens and the picturesque cemetery. Everything was perfect!!
Cons: It was perfect (although my nephew was hoping for some authentic Belgian waffles for breakfast)!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is amazing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally friendly. The location was excellent - only a stone's throw from the main square and a range of restaurants and bars/cafes. Parking was also free on the road directly outside. The room was simple but well-equipped and the shower had good water pressure. We had a garden room that was very quiet with no traffic noise and excellent blackout curtains. The breakfast was excellent! We were welcomed to fresh croissants and eggs cooked to our individual tastes. The bread was exceptional (fresh and crusty, seeded and white), a variety of cheeses and cold meats were offered as well as sweet local bread pudding and cake.
Cons: The only thing I would have changed would have been a slightly firmer mattress. However, this is completely down to personal taste and I slept very well aided by a few Belgian beers from the local Furna pub!
6,3 Good
Pros: Nice location. Free parking. Close to downtown.
Cons: The rom was loud, close to the road. Not very Nice facilities/a bit old but OK.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice terrace. The atmosphere is very cosy, we had very good breakfast with fresh bread, home-made pancakes etc. Hosts are welcoming and friendly. The place also has a very nice garden. Honestly, it looks much better than in the pics.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and big bedrooms, everything what you need in the kitchen. Large and comfortable bed.
Cons: Broken handle in the toilet, broken toilet paper’s holder. Quite hard to find the property by using a map.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, many things to chose from, but the quantities were very small. The staff had to go and fill things up a lot. We really loved the beautiful garden where children can play safely and parents can enjoy the peace and quiet right in the centre of Veurne. The possibility to rent bicycles is a huge advantage, as the area is excellent and very beautiful for easy daytrips!
Cons: No remarks

Cons: A few more hangers in the room would have been better.

Pros: First morning, no plain croissants, but they were there on the 2nd day. Hooray. Loved everything else
Cons: The fact that some people were stupid and moved chairs to sit in the cut off area of the restaurant. Tables had not been set up for breakfast, so it was really obvious that this area was not to be used. Even after being told, they did not move.

Pros: Good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and hotel was very clean. Buffet breakfast was very good
Cons: Room was too small. No tea or coffee making facilities. Toilet wouldn't flush properly and when it did eventually flush the water would run all day and night. No table service at the bar

Pros: A two minute walk to the sea front and a tram stop, ideal place. Comfortable and clean room, everything worked. Tasty breakfast included. No problems, enjoyed our stay here.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and near the beach.
Cons: The bed too low
7,9 Good
Pros: The location is great, very close to the beach, parking is a slight pain as its roadside away from the hotel, although it is free.
Cons: we would've liked tea and coffee making facilities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, quiet, clean, warm, powerful hot shower, continental breakfast with lovely fresh bread. We arrived late but this was no problem, hotel and room key were left in the key safe outside. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the promenade and 5 minutes from the town centre where we found a great bar for a well deserved beer or two after the long drive. Great value hotel with friendly hosts, would definitely recommend.
Cons: Nothing to not like really. We didn't find any hotel parking but pay and display on the road outside is free until 9am and there is no bar or coffee making facilities but these are less common in Europe than UK so can't complain.
4,7 Okay
Pros: Room space
Cons: noise of shower ventillation, no climatisation
5,3 Okay
Pros: pleasant atmosfere, nice personel, good breakfest
Cons: the bed was too small for our two, so we got a room with a greater bed
5,6 Okay
Pros: Would recommend this hotel. Good price/quality and clean room. Close to the beach.
Cons: Bed...bad mattress
4,4 Okay
Pros: Great location and nice breakfast
Cons: Terrible beds and a slight stale smell in the room. It's maybe a little expensive for the size and quality of the room.
6,4 Good
Pros: It was close to the beach/seaside, maybe a 200 meter walk. Owners spoke good English.
Cons: Parking can be a problem. We booked it because of the weekend rate. In the pop down highlighting this special rate I noticed "reservation in restaurant required" which I interpretted to mean you needed a reservation to eat in the restaurant.
5,6 Okay
Pros: access to the beach and the central location
Cons: the breakfast was normally from 8AM on. I wanted to have it 15 min earlier, which was not possible. They even changed the next morning breakfast starting time to 8:30, which was even worse than what I wanted. So, my 2 kids and I were not able to have breakfast at all, which was in principle included in the price!
4,8 Okay
Pros: breakfast and looking at the chic dining room, new year's menu costs125 euro with wine
Cons: noisy vent outside the room, small bathroom with mirror placed too high and very poor light, not easy to find the light-switch in the corridors
4,5 Okay
Pros: the breakfast buffet
Cons: rooms were a bit small, bathroom too
