R9 336 Find Cheap Flights from San José to South Africa

In general, flight attendants were not very welcoming. Because of delays in departure and luggage handling, we missed our connecting flight. Offered a later flight on standby but available seats were then taken by 4 or 5 airline crew so slept at airport and got home next day. I am a frequent traveler, and this experience was the worst.

OK, we were delayed and had to de plane and reboard.

The boarding in Buenos Aires (at the on ramp) was not great. They had to check every carry on. Not a United problem but was a Buenos Aires problem.

Plane outlets in my row not working to charge phone. Staff response was, well it should be. Plug into seed for volume not working well. Had to find the sweet spot for plug in or it would shut off and on.

The boarding was cumbersome. The staff was not aligned. They called group 1 but then the agent said no. Then they called group 1 again but still would not board us. Then they called group 2 and they all came up and still hadn’t started boarding. Then someone came from the plane and said why is no one coming? And the agent said bc i thought not yet and she said I said over the walkie talkie to send the passengers down? What was not clear about that? Also, onboard, the crew gave announcements very ironic/authoritative, and in first class they gave us a cheesebox. My expectations based on competition airlines, is a warm meal. A little underwhelming.

l really enjoy very much the flight was very pleasant

In Liberia airport 5 min before our departure the airport was closed for takeoff for 30 min. Upon arrival to IAH we didn’t have any available gate and waited taxing another 40 min. As a result we arrived for 1+ h later. The walkway to the passport control in IAH is about 1-2 ml long. After the passport control you have to pass the security check again. Only 3 out of 16 checkpoints were open and the line was enormously long. As a result, even though we supposed to have 2.5 hrs gap in between the flights we missed our transfer. United rebooked us for the next available flight early morning and provided free hotel and meal vouchers through.

The staff was nice, however boarding taking 2 hours. That’s insane. Overall very bad experience, a lot of turbulence and when landed in Chicago was horrible. I don’t think I’ll flight with UA again.

Sitting on the runway after we land for almost two hours! Not sure if we should blame United or Just Dumpy Vance.

It was good, although we could not get our preferred seats, we did enjoy the whole experience from Costa Rica. I still don't understand why our luggage is not the first to come out at the band.
