This was all done in the office of the South African Airways who I assume was managing the Airlink flight."

Cons: "This was my 4th 20 hour flight with South African Airways. It was on this 4th flight service changed. Water was not distributed unless asked for several times or seeking it out yourself. Although food choices were announced, the attendant did not offer it . He assumed one selection and arrogantly almost tossed it. I had to request my choice which made him remove the choice 'he made' impatiently. Coffee was bitter even with milk added. Flight entertainment system did not work. On the first leg of the trip the seat I requested and confirmed was not given to me. A difficult website and app. Both not user friendly. When the email announcement arrived to bid for a better seating area, the cost choice was far higher then Lufthansa. I have upgraded with Lufthansa but chose not to do it with this airlines. The bidding began almost 3 times higher then Lufthansa. The aircraft and toilet area were clean. In summary since I will need to fly to Africa on a yearly basis, I am searching for alternative airways."

Thankfully this was a red eye, so I slept for most of the 16hr flight, however I woke up with about 5 hours left and wanted to watch a movie and my tv didn't work properly. Resolution is poor on all the screens and the sound wasn't working properly with the headphones. After trouble shooting by switching seats and sealing out headphones several times, I gave up and read a book."

She said she didn't have hot drinks, didn't have white wine and failed to offer choice of red wine but gave the shorter bottle when asked a second time. There was no ice either. This sounds rather petty on my part and I apologize for such. The real issue is I had a dickens of a time coaxing her to smile. Secondly. there was no video function beyond flight path for the entire flight. I live in a village in Zambezi and truly enjoy watching media on flights as I don't see much at home in Kanono and haven't figured out computer very well. The crew said they would reboot (?) the program but that didn't happen. There was no apology for contracted feature not being available, I sure wish I could have watched movies as I am not able to sleep in general."

In JHB I was told it would come out of the luggage rack where it was transported by pushcart and despotism upside down on a conveyer belt - certainly not what t[he card I was given said. SAA told me "sometimes rules have to be changed for security reasons." Which was clearly nonsense. This I the first time I have flown SAA in many years and the first time I have booked by guitar - I do around 60 flights per year in many countries. I will never fly SAA again"

Cons: "There was a loose screw on the plane and they did not detect it until the flight was about to take off! We had a delay -- though not too long, this was preventable."
Pros: "Large, generous leather style seats. Snack was a half-baked buttered up ham & cheese croissant (don't expect french quality, it's sustenance only) Crew was wonderful with fixing us a tea & shortbread when we asked for it while on ground"
Cons: "Heavy fog on London pushed my Nice-Heathrow 2h back. They knew about it yet, let us board the plane more or less on time. Once on board they told us we'd stay on ground for 2h, and if anybody wanted to other plans on this new years eve, they had 5minute to get off the plane. I had only 2h transfer time in Heathrow and asked if I got off if I could be rerouted through another hub. The stewardess had no clue, but said this is usually dealt from London and they have more options there, so I staid in plane. It would have been better to know that in terminal where wifi was available and we could have BA customer service give us individual attention."
Cons: "The plane is not comfortable. Especially the number of toilets is very small: only 1 (ONE) on each side in the touristic part. And it is on the flight London-Las Vegas (10 hours)! One has to go for taking some drink himself. Not enough drinking was suggested during the flight. The screen is very bad. No real choice of movies."

Cons: "On the return flight back from London to Las Vegas, I sat at an economy class aisle exit seat on a 747. The flip up TV set wasn't working. One flight attendant initially offered to move me to a cheaper less desirable seat, which I declined. I asked for at least an exit row seat of any sort. A second (more senior) flight attendant then promised he will either fix the TV (by resetting it) or find an acceptable alternative so I "won't need to go the entire flight with a TV." But he never returned and the TV never worked. I didn't fuss because I slept and read instead, but I thought this was a poor follow up and follow through on his part."
Pros: "787-9 new aircraft with the total lack of space in economy, my worst transatlantic crossing in thirty years. DVT waiting to happen."
Cons: "Food and entertainment selection was not the best."
Pros: "The entertainment options were great with very good movie selections. The food was not as bad as I thought it'd be."
Cons: "Crew members came off as a bit racist and weren't nice at all. One of the flight attendants spilled liquid from my cup and didn't even apologize. Instead she blamed me for stacking stuff with my cup"
