KLM is never consistent with services. Sometimes you get lucky with great comfort and other times you are forced to squeeze in a box for a seat. The food is always subpar and they have become so unfriendly when you need help. But hey, they are always on time and they have good connections.

And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Not a valued customer..just a herd of cattles that is being shuffled around. Employees just lie into your face. Last time I flew with LH companies. No customer service at all. The customer is their enemy.

This airline survives on those who don't do their homework(Like me) and those who don't take others reviews seriously. Spend the extra money and get an airline that is consistent. I would never fly this airline again unless I had no other option. If you fly this airline pay extra for premium seating so you can get an assigned seat and get decent food and in-flight entertainment"

Cons: "I'm 6'6" and barely fit in the seats. I've learned to live with that, but it was frustrating that only 2 of the 7 front-row seats with extra legroom in the section were occupied before the flight, and a flight attendant chose a much shorter and not elderly passenger to fill a third seat in that row, leaving no alternative seating options for me and my wife to request. Most other airlines notice my size/discomfort right away and offer to work with me, especially on transatlantic flights. Food and entertainment had limited options and were nothing to get excited about, but you get what you pay for."

Cons: "I showed up to the airport 2+ hours early, I tried to check in online, was given a error the said my reservation didn’t exist. When I arrived at the airport I went to the check in counter, when I told them I was checking for a flight to Seattle, i was told that I couldn’t check in because there was a issue with my flight. I was directed to a corner of the terminal. This corner had no chairs or seats for us, we sat there for 2+ hours all the way up to the time our flight was intended to depart. All the while we tried to get information or what was the issue, but we were just stonewalled. Finally past our boarding time were were told the flight was being canceled, and to standby for more information. Another half an hour went by before they told us they were getting us a hotel, and buses to the hotel. So then we waited another 15 minutes or so when they asked us if we had checked in because we needed a ticked to get a room at the hotel. Again we waited in line for 20+ minutes to check in. I had 2 bags to check, one I need at the hotel, the other I did not. They let me check the one bag I could, told me to check the other at the business class check in in the morning to avoid the line, sounds good, or so I thought. So condor gathers us all up, an entire 767 worth of people, and begins hearding us to the buses, they don’t tell us where we’re going, just to follow the one employee, to the 5 or so buses. A large group of us got split off at a set stairs, helping older folks and family with strollers get down the stairs. Now I spent 30 minutes wandering around Frankfurt am main looking for buses. Well they don’t park them out front, they park them out in the middle of nowhere. Finally get to get hotel, it’s a nice hotel. The next morning the lady at the business class desk was extremely rude."
Cons: "First, we went to check-in to get our boarding passes, onlyfor the woman at the counter to tell us we were on Stand-By... for the flight we bought VERY expensive tickets for a YEAR in advance, because they overbooked the flight (100% the AIRLINES fault). Then after some panic time had passed, the same woman told us she was able to get us on the flight, like she'd done us some massive favor, but that we would not be able to sit together. (We are a husband and wife that were on our honeymoon). Then, once we are finally on this flight, cramped near all these strangers, we both go to find some solace in the on-board entertainment, only to find out, they only offered TWO movies free of charge. Two movies for a 10 hour flight. Seriously??? Then, we were served some on board meals, due to the duration of the flight. The food gave me food poisoning. This was by far the WORST flight experience of my life. We will NEVER be flying air Condor again. Nor, will I be referring this company to anyone."

Cons: "I arrived in Seattle on time expecting a 2.5 hour lay over for our 5:15 p.m Condor flight to Munich. All the reader board said was Condor Flight to Munich-Canceled with no other information provided. The condor website said the flight was on time as scheduled. We roamed around the Seattle airport for over an hour trying to find a Condor booth, apparently they don't have a permanent one. When we finally found a Condor booth I was told, "The good news is the flight isn't cancelled, it's just delayed." It was delayed 18 HOURS to 11:15 the following morning. We were told we would have to exit the airport and go to the Condor ticket booth for more information. I nervously exited the airport, because I knew I couldn't get back in without a ticket. I waited in line for over TWO HOURS to find out the plane was still in Germany! No other information was given. I was told I was going to be provided a hotel along with meal vouchers for dinner and breakfast. I was told to come back by 8:00 a.m. in the morning to get my ticket to Munich. Why? BECAUSE THEY WOULD ONLY BE AT THEIR BOOTH UNTIL 10:00 a.m. I was given a room at Days Inn Tukwilla which is right outside the South Center Mall and was in a very sketchy part of town. I did not feel safe there. The room was dirty, the lights didn't work, the deadbolt didn't work and when I tried to charge my phone the plug fell out of the outlet. Also, the front desk staff had no idea I was coming and did not know anything about meal vouchers. I got up early and arrived at 7:30 a.m. No one from Condor even showed up until 8:15 a.m. I finally got my ticket to Munich which was delayed another THREE HOURS to 2:15 p.m. Again, with no notice. I asked for my connecting flight info because I from Munich I was going to Rome. I was told that someone would be helping me with that once I landed in Germany. I was also told I would be able to file a claim for my meals once in Germany. When I debarked the plane in Germany there was an angry worker hurriedly yelling at us to get on the bus if our connecting flight was with Lufthansa, which mine was. I was not helped with filing a claim at all. I finally arrived in Rome and the airline had lost my luggage. So if you fly with condor expect the first two days of your vacation/travel plans to be ruined and expect three days for your luggage to get sent to you. I will never ever book a flight with Condor again. They ruined the first four days of my 10 day vacation."

The gate leaving from Frankfurt had its own security line for just this gate, and then we were coralled in a small space waiting to board, and this little area was packed and really hot in comparison to the rest of the airport. Had to pay to choose a seat, as I didn't want them to stick me in a middle seat. also had to pay to get more than 2 movies, the card reader declined all 3 of my cards (they worked in the airport before boarding). I guess Im used to the fantastic service of Alaska airlines, where they are much more willing to give you free things on the plane, meals, drinks, especially if the card reader doesn't work. Luckily the gal next me had some cash to cover me. I also asked for a pen to fill out my custom papers, and a stewardess said no, she didn't have a pen and walked off. I would like to say I wouldn't fly them again, but they are cheap, and not having layovers is really nice"

So just be aware of this when booking. Gate information isnt available or visible until 30 minutes before boarding. So if you're an early bird you are left wondering where to go or if you're in the right place. Boarding process is terrible. No announcement as to what section is boarding except for premium/first class. Free for all after that and rude gate staff. Like just open your mouth and tell us who is suppose to board so they'll be no confusion. If you are brown/black, please note security/police in Germany will do a "random" security check on you again at the gate. Just comply :-( As others mentioned the food is quite unsavory. Eat before you get on and bring plenty of snacks."
