The sandwich was soggy and the tomato did not taste very good. Your food has been better on previous flights. Perhaps we were spoiled by the great food in Tbilisi. It would have been nice to have a b enter expectations of the check in process and time for our very early morning flight. Since there is very little in English at Tbilisi airport, and nobody we found who spoke it well, it was confusing to figure out all that we needed to be efficient for you.

Cons: "I've flown Turkish a few times before, and they're generally pretty good for the price. This trip was different. Despite Turkish Airlines policies outlined in their "Customer Rights," I received no notification that the flight was delayed 3 hours, and there was no notification at the JoBurg airport until you go to the counter to check in. JoBurg staff - which are Menzies third-party contractors, not Turkish staff - were disorganized, uncommunicative, and unhelpful. Only one person at the check in desk seemed to have authorization to make any changes, so all other agents were running back and forth to speak with him, and not communicating with passengers. It took over an hour to get clarity on the situation and rebook my connecting flight to Washington for a different flight 8 hours later. The only compensation offered was one meal voucher worth R100 (roughly $7). They would not even look at other Star Alliance flights for early arrival in Washington, and said they were not authorized to consider upgrading my ticket. When I called the Turkish customer service, they essentially said "What do you want us to do about it? You have to submit a formal complaint." Boarding was totally disorganized. In theory there are boarding groups, but after business class and all the high-ranking loyalty members, it's pretty much a mad rush. This seems to be the common practice for Turkish now. In general, Turkish has a great entertainment system on all their long-haul flights, with tons of movies - including very new releases - music, games, etc. They also provide complimentary kits with socks, slippers, eye mask, earplugs and dental kit, even for economy passengers. The meals are fairly good for airlines. However, legroom in economy isn't great. I'm 6'1", and had difficulty getting comfortable with my knees jammed into the back of the seat in front of me. On this particular flight, I was in row 18. The cabin crew were frantic, disorganized, and shouting to each other across passengers. One half of our row was served the meal, and the other half had to wait over 30 minutes to be served for some reason. By that time the vegetarian option was no longer available. Crew also had to run back and forth between service carts because they were frequently out of very common beverages (like sparkling water. And ice.), and on two occasions crew left a drawer from a cart full of trash sitting in the aisle. There were several times that crew ran carts into passengers - including once into my knee that was not in the aisle - and didn't even acknowledge doing so. They also stopped the carts in front of occupied lavatories, temporarily trapping passengers. So not terribly professional. While not specifically on this flight, the experience in Istanbul airport with Turkish Airlines' staff was awful. Zero interest in helping, rude and dismissive, and overall terrible."

Our experience was terrible. Much of our itinerary was missing when we tried to reconfirm or when we arrived at the airport, even though the Kenya Airways App had us listed. By the time, it was sorted out, our flight from Livingstone to Nairobi was full. To meet our commitments (and get home), we had to find ground transport to Lusaka, purchase a one-way ticket for each of us to Nairobi, book an extra hotel night in both Lusaka and Nairobi, plus the cost of extra meals. For the 2 of us, we incurred over $1500 in extra expense. I filed a concern with the airline October 19, received a incident report number, but have not heard back as of November 2. It was a challenging and disappointing experience.

Pourquoi me demander où exiger que je devrais avoir un visa sur le Cameroun. C’est inadmissible. J’allais au Tchad et elle sait bien que je n’avais pas non plus besoin de visa compte tenu des accords de réciprocité entre état. J’avais mon visa et pourtant elle insistait. Ce qui était marrant ces collègues étaient complices. J’ai dû hausser le ton et l’insulter proprement. Mon adrénaline a monté. Trop de corrompus et moins de gens intègres dans vos rangs que ce soit à Cotonou et surtout à Accra. My Ethiopian flight was cancelled without Kayak informing me. I found out through my sister who picked the same flight via Expedia. When i informed Kayak, they failed to put me on another flight…stating they are waiting to hear back from Ethiopia airlines. After receiving no response for 2 weeks, I asked Kayak for a refund. And again, no response. Thus, I had to call my credit card company to dispute the transaction. Thank you chase for being understanding. However, I DO NOT recommend flying with Ethiopian airlines or booking through Kayak. Terrible customer service especially when it entails refunding people their money.
There is no food or entertainment on such a short flight. The crew was fast and efficient. The one thing you should know is it is open seating so ignore your boarding pass seat number and sit where you like.
Stay away from flights going through Lome if that is not your final destination. The agents at the Accra airport are also thieves. They held onto my boarding pass for my upgraded ticket which I paid an extra $800; untill I paid $260. for excess baggage, when I was entitled to 3 free because of my upgraded ticket. I could have kept my economy seat and paid only $260, instead I paid $1060!. The agent held onto my boarding pass untill I had paid and had only 20 minutes to clear TSA. Pleasw do not fly Ethiopian Air via Lome to Ghana!!!!. You will regret this very e expensive experience.

Cons: "It would be much better if they didn’t lose my 2 luggage bags with no proper compensation to offer - 50$ is what you get to recover your belongings meanwhile my items lost are worth at least 10,000$.. contacting my lawyer in the morning. Also the plane has nowhere to plug your phone, can’t charge your phone for over 7 hours, no in flight WiFi, and no tv screen to watch movies.. I couldn’t help but wonder was this a 1985 plane? Do not recommend, stay away."
Cons: "This is my first time traveling these airlines and I promise you it’s the last.. the plane had no option to plug my cell phone, no WiFi, not even a screen to watch movies (7 something hours flight).. I was served a loaf of bread cut in half with some spices inside as a meal! But the most horrible part is the fact once landed I found out the lost both of my luggage bags, and All they told me was I’m entitled of an allowance of $50.. tried hard not to laugh as my 50 kg of belongings worth thousands of dollars.. beyond disappointed, aggravated and shocked. Contacting my lawyer in the morning. Do not fly with them!"

It's highly stressful for a passenger to be in another country where they don't speak the local language and have to be shuffling to connect to a flight within less than 10 minutes. Any Ethiopian airline connecting flight needs to have at least a 45 minutes gap."

Cons: "Based on the price and convenience I really have no complaints. The only area I would improve is the inflight restroom. The door was broken and didn’t close and the inside was quite filthy and the toilet didn’t flush."

Cons: "I did not like the flight both ways! Going to Lagos from Lome, the aircraft had no air conditioning, we were stuffed and backed close to two hours. On boarding took close to 45 minutes. Aircraft looked like a jalopy Going to Lome, the crew was rude, they should have acknowledged the passengers been baked in the sun before boarding. Tragic!!!"
Cons: "It all started at the check point at Newark airport. While checking into my flight I noticed that the transit Time in Lomé was only 40 mns, so made it a point to ensure if my luggage would make it with me to Dakar. So upon arrival in Lome and as I suspected, I was rushed through the gate as the last passenger. Hence I asked the boarding agent again if my suitcases are on the plane: yes ma’am just get on the plane. Now I land in Dakar with no suitcases and no way of knowing when they will arrive. The staff were rude and unapologetic, plus they ask me to come back to the airport to collect my luggage when it gets here.UNBELIEAVABLE"
Cons: "No, food was given, the water was HOT, and there was a roach on the plane. I fly quite often maybe 3 or 4 times a year and I have never seen a roach on any flight! The seat was incredibly dirty and beat up. To pay so much money for such a disregard for customers career and safety was quite troubling to me. This flight too had no air conditioning going at all. From boarding to the 45-minute flight my mother and I, as well as the other passengers including babies were sweating. Customers should not have to deal with such things people can get severely ill. This is beyond unsafe for customers and the staff. I am not sure who is responsible for this situation but I am not okay with it."
