6,0 Good
Pros: Nice, what you expect for this price.
Cons: You don't have an Africa feeling in this hotel. 3rd Night, 'could not book via booking.com', 'the there is a problem between booking.com and us story which you hear so much in Afrika' and they charged us the double, which my friend only noticed too late, so had to pay 305 euro's per night, in stead of 150 euro (which was already actually too expensive for what it is.)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I had an ocean view room, so I could enjoy the scenery from my room.
Cons: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They kept our rooms clean and had no problems when it was time to check out. Excellent place and I looked forward to booking there again.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked: - The rooms (with sea view) - The pool - The proximity to the beach (10 m) - The food in the restaurants - The overall atmosphere - The SPA service - The friendliness of the staff
Cons: - I paid a lot but seemed to be the only one who did not have a balcony. Most or all other rooms in my category had a balcony. When I indicated the difference and asked for reduction or (at least) to include the breakfast into the price, the staff never followed up. They did not change the room and billed full price. - The shuttle bus/car service is totally overpriced. A taxi ride from and to the airport is between 15-25k. The hotel demands 150K. This is very weak. In particular because the hotel is not in the center of the city. - Internet can be quite slow or disconnects - You cannot iron your shirts in the room (usually 5 star hotels offer this service) - 1 Espresso capsule is free, for the others you have to pay (given the day rate, this should be included)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: All - nice, convenient and friendly
Cons: Nothing
7,9 Good
Pros: Clean and spacious hotel with very good food in the restaurant.
Cons: Required taxi transport to get around and the shuttle was only a sedan, where an SUV could have been more comfortable given all the luggage we had.
6,3 Good
Pros: The good... The manger did apologise for the mess with my room upon arrival, and paid for my taxi drive to my meeting. The hotel did also give me fruit plate and an apology letter The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice and spacious and clean The food is really nice To be honest though, the majority of 5 star hotels are beautiful with nice rooms and nice food...these are the minimum basics. The service and the extras is what should set these hotels apart when charging premium rates, and this is where Terrou-Bi falls short despite a few gestures.
Cons: I had an indifferent stay at the Terrou-Bi hotel Dakar. The bad.... After pre booking and pre-arranged late check-in notification, I arrive in Dakar at 11pm only to be told that I do not have a room anymore. Arrangements had been made for me to stay in another hotel for 1 night, and would then be transferred to the Terrou-Bi the next day. The most basic thing I want as a guest is reliability in making a booking to stay at a hotel, particularly on my first visit to a foreign country. The alternative provided for 1 night was nice, but it was not what I had booked. I travelled to Dakar on business and had meetings to attend. When told that I would be staying in a different hotel for 1 night I was guaranteed that a driver would collect me the following morning and would take me to my meeting. The driver was at the alternate hotel the next morning but knew nothing about taking me to a meeting. I was taken to the Terrou-Bi hotel, form where I had to take a taxi to my meeting....arriving 45 minutes late. Again, unreliable. The manager at the Terrou-Bi paid for the taxi to my meeting to apologise but did not change the fact that I was late because of the hotel's unreliability. I had wifi connection issues during the last morning of my stay, and when I phoned front desk for assistance the phone was thrown down in my ear because I dont speak French. Everyone that travels knows this happens but certainly not at a 5 star hotel I was eaten up by mosquitoes at night. Not necessarily the hotels fault but have stayed at other 5 star hotels around Africa where precaution are taken and I have not had any mosquito issues 5 star means 5 star and Terrou-Bi does not deliver...I dont pay those rates to be told my pre-booked room has been given away to someone else, and then be late for meetings because of the hotel's incompetence...I could get that type of service from a 3 star hotel, and pay notably less.

Cons: Garden view? Try view of aluminium slata and pieces of grass. No kettle, paid for milk for coffee. One towel. That will do. Poor value for money.

4,2 Okay
Pros: Location is relatively good
Cons: The staff behaviors were very unprofessional. The restaurants were below average. The room was below average it terms of facilities and cleanliness
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel was amazing and I enjoyed my brief stay there.
Cons: Room service for both dinner and breakfast was a disappointment because items were missing that were requested and even after repeated phone calls nothing happened to fix the issue. Additionally, had I booked the same room, for the same night at the same price on the Radisson Hotels website I would have had a free breakfast. Instead I paid for it.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very nice people. The terrace was great for breakfast and evening chats. Great food in the restaurant.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: You cannot find a lot of hostels in Senegal unfortunately, which is a shame as it is a great way to meet other travelers, especially if you travel alone. It is also in a quite area, near the beach The omelet for breakfast was great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome hosts, really nice yard, spacious and clean rooms. And they have the cutest children! :)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: despite the near the beach Location thanks to off-season special price I could go to the beach easily I was able to see Kitesurf for the first time It was a pity I couldn't watch djembe performances and dances at a nearby restaurant that it was not the top season I was happy to drink delicious espresso!
Cons: It would be better if the shower drain was running
7,9 Good
Pros: Very polite staff: Fabio and Fatima can give you many advices about Dakar and the test of Senegal too
Cons: A little bit expensive the breakfast and the food, but they supports a little NGO so it could be ok
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a quiet space in a chaotic city. Good facilities (it’s a nice house with a rooftop with a view of the ocean). The hostel was owned by a great couple with their family and it was located next to a nice beach filled with locals.
Cons: I preferred the location away from the full on center of Dakar, but getting transport away from this area cost a bit more. I think it was still worth being here however.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice house close to the beach in a really calm area far from the crazy city! Comfortable beds
Cons: It is 3 hours walking from the city center. The beach is almost imposible to swim... so big waves perfect for surf :)
7,1 Good
Pros: The location, a good price for this place
Cons: Only one shower in the entire property

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. 9,2 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything except the location. It’s in a nice part of town and people say there see good clubs in the area. But otherwise it’s a really long way from downtown Dakar’s sights, museums and markets.
Cons: See above
7,0 Good
Pros: I thought it was pricey for what you get. It is an old house, the furniture is French from the 20's or 30's. The room is old but generally clean, but for that price, I would have expected a nicer situation. I like to walk so I walked about 30 minutes to Ngor or Almadies, but not much immediately in the area.
Cons: Bath did not drain and water got all over bathroom.
6,7 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a nice quiet neighborhood, a short taxi-ride to many good restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and the roof where they serve it is beautiful.
Cons: There a few things that could make this place a lot better. Like making sure there are towels and toilet paper in the room, instead of having to ask for them. The bathtub didn’t have a curtain, and every time you take a shower, it drowns the entire bathroom.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great service. Intimate feel. Great views of Dakar from the rooftop terrace. Every room has it own identity so they are all unique.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Staff and in a convenient location. Service was really nice.
Cons: Can be kind of loud with a Mosque across the street but that’s very minimal.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was good for the Mamelles lighthouse, Renaissance monument and Mamelles beach
Cons: This is a great hotel for business travellers coming for the development sector activities at NGO offices and embassies in the neighbourhood, but perhaps not as interesting for tourist visitors.
7,5 Good
Pros: Very nice rooms, well decorated, calm and very clean. A good deal for a short stay expecially for those who knows Dakar well already.
Cons: A little disconnected from the main roads, no back up plan for breakfast during rainy season and no phone in the room for emergencies.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Super clean. I have a very nice and big room, which is what I needed for this trip.
Cons: Breakfast is ok. It could be better.

Rysara Hotel - Dakar - Building
8
8,0 Excellent (117 reviews)
R2 453+
5,0 Okay
Cons: Very poor breakfast, limited facilities for a 4 star hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Rysara Hotel is a delighful Oasis in a quiet neighborhood of Downtown Dakar (Plateau). The rooms are very comfortable, of good size, perfectly tidy, and very well furnished and maintained. The staff at front desk as well as the chamber maids are very friendly, professional, attentive and helpful. There is a restaurant with indoor and patio seating on site. Definitely a recommendable place for business and leisure travelers.
Cons: Breakfast seemed inadequate for this category of hotel. However, an update of the breakfast concept and expansion of options was in the works according to management. Probably much improved by the time of publication of this review.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The location is ok in a quiet surroundings. But the breakfast is too boring. Had same breakfast of three types of bread, two butters, a jam, tea and orange juice every morning for 12 mornings without any change. Previous guests suggested that RYSAVA should change and improve the fixed breakfast half year ago. RYSAVA replied they would improve. But it seems that what I had for breakfast is same as that of half year ago.
Cons: Breakfast is not good for long-term stay guests. For short stay, like few days, it is ok.
7,1 Good
Pros: The hotel displayed a lot of dishonesty. They changed money for me and got me a cab only for me to pay the cab driver with the same currency and he claimed that the currencies were CFA2,000 as against CFA10,000 as given to me by the hotel. The hotel took side with him meaning they jointly defrauded me
Cons: They should improve the quality of breakfast server in the hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fast internet and kind staff
Cons: Breakfast was poor
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, located in the city center, good price/quality ratio.
Cons: Breakfast should offer a healthier choice too.

Pros: Bed room
Cons: No bad experience

Cons: Not good value for money. Does not help with airport transfers, pick ups. No upgraded for accor members
7,0 Good
Cons: Maybe a lesser quality maintenance than a few years ago
7,5 Good
Pros: Location is great. Hotel is comfortable
Cons: The toilet seat and the showers are not in the same area in the room. The toilet seat is in a small room you feel like you are sitting inside a closet. Also I think it was a bit over priced.
7,0 Good
Pros: The restaurant was good, and the iftar formula excellent for Ramadan.
Cons: The air conditioner was just limit. I changed room to experience more or less the same experience.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location is good
Cons: Old and unwelcoming, standard rooms feels claustrophobic and cleanliness is questionable. Wifi is poor, hair dryer is 50 years old, minibar empty. Stayed only one night and glad I did. Will never go back, same price as the Pullman but not comparable at all.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful, with a huge pool in a nice setting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, always happy to help with your quiery. Overall I would highly recomment this hotel. The food and cocktails were also of excellent quality.
Cons: The only negative comment I would have is that it got really busy at the pool area on a Sunday, given that people from outside come to use the pool for the day.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location beside the sea The pool The staff The clean Tennis court Morning sunshine view
Cons: No Lobby All the cafe or restaurant around the pool. Limited restaurant menu
4,0 Okay
Pros: Sea air. Staff in hotel good. In restaurant they are amateurs.
Cons: Bath condition or room and bathroom - broken electric sockets, general maintenance. Awful wfi - unstable. Limitied tv Restaurant open air even if cold and windy. Terrible cheap wine. Breakfast was dreadful. Horrid coffee.

Pros: Almost love everything, I little paradise away from the crowd of the city . Staff are very kind , the Manager is very nice and always help you whenever you need something . The swimming pool and the entire hotel is just Amazing, will come back soon
Cons: Nothing
5,4 Okay
Pros: Despite my bad experience I can say There was a great view, helpful staff, decent wifi
Cons: Hot water didn't work! Also, it seems like they need to invest in some updates, things were outdated and my phone or hair dryer didn't work also. I was given a small discount because I complained a lot about the water, but I think this hotel is overpriced and you can find something both cheaper and much nicer
9,2 Excellent
Cons: Gym, is small

10,0 Excellent
Pros: My highest appreciation for the personnel of the hotel. All of them are very professional, kind and helpful, whatever somebody might need during their stay. I must mention that during my stay, I lost my wallet which was full of money. The staff of the hotel found it and gave it back to me, before I even realised that I had lost it. I really did not expect it, I appreciated it deeply and I thank them very much! Rooms were comfortable, facilities, swimming pool and breakfast were very good! Hotel highly recommended.
Cons: Price might be a bit high for a 3 star establishment, given also the location, however the hotel was very good.

5,4 Okay
Pros: Location is great, walking distance to anything in centre ville. Beautiful ocean front deck with good cocktails. Hospitable and helpful ataff
Cons: I stayed in one of the non ocean facing rooms, and it was just depressing. Tiny window, halogen lights and a foam mattress. Very loud when people were in the hall way. The location of the hotel is great but you don't feel it in the rooms. Other places are cheaper and similarly located in the ville. For this price the rooms aren't worth it.Wouldn't go again.
5,1 Okay
Pros: Location was nice. View can't be beat
Cons: There are literally 112 steps to get into the hotel. Carrying luggage down that sucked! Also, the room was ok but not luxurious by any means. For the price, you could stay at a much better hotel closer to the city center. Also, they don't even leave the lights in the hallway on. Imagine carrying luggahe down 112 steps then taking an unairconditioned elevator to your room then stepping off into a dark hallway with no 2indows and lights off. Creepy! Each room had a tiny unit ac. Definitely not worth the price. We ended up checking out eau and moving to the pullman!

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Took my bank card pre authorization and cancel my reservation. I experienced this situation one time before in this hotel, so I sent late check in request to this hotel this time and they replied to me and accepted my request. But finally they did the same and cancel my booking with excuse of fully booked... No more stay in this hotel. No more.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I always enjoy interacting with staff as they are very helpful and attentive to details. I like the service too. The atmosphere is great and the food excellent. Even some of the Security Guards are very accommodating. Despite the issues raised above I do and will continue to recommend Cafe de Rome as great place in Dakar. I met the new DG and he left me with a good impression.

Cons: Despite advertising a bar there does not appear to be a bar
7,0 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Had to change rooms three times as aircon not working Hotel very dark outside at night needs better lighting
7,9 Good
Pros: Comfortable rooms and inobtrusive service make this a very good value hotel for those travelling on a budget. Breakfast is excellent, and the outdoor dining area is well protected from frequent street vendors by a glass partition that still allows for people watching. Very reliable wifi.
Cons: Staff not particularly responsive - I never received any replies to my request for transport from the airport and had to make my own arrangements. Rooms are noisy - you can hear everything going on in the street below and the comings and goings of other guests. Windows in my room didn't lock/close properly and have no flyscreens
4,6 Okay
Pros: Not provided. Should be a bread and breakfast hotel
Cons: Small space, wifi not stable. Off for more than 5 hours, mosquitoes battle overnight. Light going off and on. Many more
8,3 Excellent
Pros: At £37;50 for one night in a good location it was fantastic value. The aircon, TV, lights, WC, shower all worked OK.
Cons: Being just off the main road the taxi driver could not find it, so the hotel sent someone out to the main road to guide him in.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staffing.
Cons: Breakfast could be included in the rent price.
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Smoking is allowed. My room smelled musty. There was an ashtray in the room I never imagined in this day and age I would have to specifically request a non-smoking room. I could not use the patio restaurants because of the smokers.

Pros: everything about this place was amazing, the friendly staff, amazing food, location quiet but also close to main road so easy to get taxis, room was spotless. lovely artwork around the house . stayed for 2 weeks for work and really felt like home. got some great tips for going out and about on the weekend from the host as well.
Cons: i had to extend my stay due to work so ended up moving rooms to their annex - which feels a little less homely but still nice.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The artsy vibe and architecture are so inviting. Spotlessly clean, great bathrooms, staff so very helpful and gracious. Location in lovely neighborhood, easy walk to a number of restaurants
Cons: Dakar is such a huge city that is seems traffic is always congested so have to allow lots of time to get from one area to the next. Would probably be this way in any area you stay in.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second time staying at La Villa 126. The maintenance of the property and service was exactly the same. The staff is consistent in providing a very clean and comfortable environment. The colorful contemporary art work and furnishings displayed throughout La Villa 126 is very appealing. There some really good restaurants within 30 - 40 min, we didn't mind the walk. We walked as far as the beach and really enjoyed it!
