I will continue traveling and proposing to my friends and family to fly with Ethiopian Airlines. It is simply excellent!
Boarding gate confusion, just asked for cup of water inside the floght and the crew answer was shocking ...
I had an excellent experience with Ethiopian Airlines.
I took six flights with Ethiopian and are were early. All of their longhaul aircraft are modern (oldest was 12 years old) but they do feel cramped when full. They lost my luggage on the way out you really have to take the initiative to get it back. They sent it on the next flight two days later but because they lose so many bags and Niamey only has 2-3 staff to deal with them (and they go home after the last flight), you're best to track when the next flight lands and then go find your bag yourself.) I did not have a tight connection on Addis - I guess the plane's luggage hold was maybe full

Cons: "Flight ET365 was scheduled to leave Djibouti at 19:00 but did not leave until 23:30, without any screen information or by the Ethiopian Airlines staff at JIB airport how long the delay would be or if the flight was completely cancelled. Extremely unprofessional and ignorant handling of the situation"
Pros: "I appreciated the amount of movies offered as well as its variety. I also liked how often they brought drinks and snacks. The airline crew was very helpful to passengers."

Cons: "I chose a seat with no one in my row (because I knew the flight would not be full) and yet somehow two others got assigned to my row after. There was no need to cram us all into one row when the whole plane was empty!"

Cons: "There was a fight on the llane but it was because a passenger with mental issues was provoked by a couple so ahe beat up the wife. This was not caused by ET and crew at all, but they stopped it."

Pros: "Overall it was good flying experience. They upgraded me to an exit row for free when I checked in and asked, which was nice. We had a blanket, pillow, and toothbrush kit on our seats. They fed us and had in flight entertainment. This was a 10 hour flight, so its so important to get these types of amenities. I flew a different airline to my destination, and they didn't feed us at all! It was terrible! Ethiopian was much better!"
Cons: "The food wasn't very good (but most airline food isn't), the flight attendants didn't seem to be working much of the flight, just hanging out with each other (I was seated near them), and I really wish there was more room to get up, move around, and stand. On a 10 hour flight you can't sit the whole time. Wish the seats were a little wider, especially for such long flights."
Cons: "The experience from the airport to the plane to Lome was beyond troubling. If ever you are flying internationally from NYC, never fly from Newark New Jersey. Nevertheless, upon boarding the Ethiopian Airline flight to Lome that was supposed to depart at 9:15 pm, the courtesy of the flight attendants was a bit mundane. My mother and I sat on the plane for about an hour after the time of the depart before inquiring why we have no moved and the doors were closed. The flight attendant responded with, "We shall be moving shortly." The air conditioner was barely on. My mother is battling stage 3 Cancer and is an older woman so, I feared for the safety of her health in such a condition. About 30 minutes passed, and we inquired again. This time with a different flight attendant and she said she just did not know what was going on. Other people on the plane began to panic in a sense as well because like my mother and I, they too had a connecting flight to catch. The pilot did not inform the passengers of what was occurring. So, at this point, all passengers on flight ET509 had been sitting on the plane for an hour and a half. By the time we were sitting on the plane for 2 HOURS with the doors closed the pilot finally informed us that they were waiting for some paperwork. He did not apologize or give more information as to why we were sitting on the plane so long, with practically no AC, and weren't informed about when we would be pulling off. About 10 minutes later, the plane began backing up while people were still standing because they were restless with the wait especially when we had a 10-hour flight ahead of us. The pilot then got on the loudspeaker stating that we will be pulling in the air shortly and for the flight attendants to be seated. The pilot did not apologize for the inconvenience or state how long the flight would be or what time we would land in Lome, Togo. Once we were in the air, there were many safety hazards administered by both the crew and pilot. The seat belt safety information was not given, the exit areas in case of emergency were not discussed, what to do in case of an emergency, where certain equipment would be in case of illness or an emergency, and we were still not informed about the cause of the 2 hours and 15-minute delay. My mother and I consistently checked the flight tracker and it did not show the duration of our flight, our location while flying, no flight information was displayed and as hard working paying passengers we should have had all of the information and not have to continuously ask to get a slight answer. Also, I am a vegan and they did not have food for me. But there was a flight attendant who gave me extra fruit which I greatly appreciated. The flight coming back to Newark was decent, going was the major issue. I pray we are accommodated for these great inconveniences. Because to have spent almost $3,000 and receive this type of treatment is both saddening and disturbing to me."

The LCD displays don't pivot so it's virtually impossible to view the entertainment when the occupant of the seat in front fully reclines ( a somewhat irritating issue on a long flight )"

Also, on flights longer than three hours, they should use a plane with more entertainment (bigger plane). It was cramped and uncomfortable both legs."

Some of the more recent movies started in the middle or near through end. Tried to rewind and restart but neither worked The toilet paper was not refilled at the stopover in Dublin and we ran out before LA!"

Cons: "Food is the SAME every time! Service was not great, skipped me twice on drinks and they seemed annoyed when I asked for a water and a water refill since the cups are so small. I get that its a quick flight and they have to finish before a certain time. But service for the people in the back should be the same as those in the front."
Cons: "Other travelers kept walking through our aisle, which was not an aisle. Therefore I was constantly getting bumped in the middle of the night waking me up. This area needs to be roped off to make other passengers walk around as to not disturb people sitting in that row. I arrived at my destination completely exhausted due to lack of sleep. Ethiopian Air provides horrible service."

Pros: "I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was clean and the staff made sure to make every attempt to clean the room. They gave 2 bottles of water each day. The flight on Ethiopian Airlines was smooth, kind crew and clean airplane. Airport was well lighted and had big sighs."
Cons: "This is what I didn't like, there guys there driving white cars or trucks that pretends to be taxi drivers. Don't use them. They are thieves and fake as hell. His name is Nasah, a guy from India, drives a white land cruiser. Please avoid them. Use the regular toyota cars that hat TAXI written on it."
