Cons: We were extremely disappointed by this establishment and the quality of its service. The decor is successful but that's all this hotel can boast. Very narrow rooms, disorderly reception, disorganization of restaurant service (40 minutes waiting between the entrance and the maim dish, quality well below the asking price). We were especially shocked by the aggressiveness of one of the hostesses of the restaurant. Do not choose this hotel unless you have a very good offer otherwise it is not worth it!

Pros: I was attending a meeting at ETH. This hotel was much less expensive than hotels located closer to ETH. It was a short (and convenient) light rail ride away or a long, pleasant walk. The room (single queen) was small but quite usable. Everything was nice and neat but not fancy. There were a reasonable number of decent restaurants and a bakery nearby, and the location was reasonably quiet. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Cons: I booked this online thinking it was a budget hotel, considering the price. Receptionist didn't greet us with a smile nor he was being rude or anything but room is already booked and we're checking in at 6pm so I guess he thought no need to be nice.
Surprise came next morning. While we were checking out he asked 49chf and I was shocked as for why. It was for the breakfast we ate. Now, nobody told us anything about breakfast not being included and its hotels around this price range you would assume it is. I was really furious about it coz only salami yogurt and coffee at 22chf per person breakfast wow l. What a rip off!
What annoyed us the most is that receptionist guy didn't give any info about absolutely anything but when it comes to collect money.... I even had to ask about the Internet connection, he said 'written on the paper', the stuff that he gave us with the room key.

Cons: Our room stunk of smoke from the street and when I shut the window smoke came in from the hallway. Not pleased at all. Especially with my pregnant girlfriend coughing most of the night. They offered to move us rooms but this was at 10pm and we were only there for one night. Otherwise we would have. Either way, this is not acceptable, we should have been forewarned.

Cons: When we arrived to the hotel The receptionist told us that she was going to give us an upgrade (we were happy becuase we weren’t asking for it) so she send us tomroom 3707 ( the smallest room at the hotel, specially for singles). My wife and I were upset about the size, so next morning we went to the front desk and met Joao Reies, great professional who inmediatly changed our room to the one we were expecting it. Thanks to him we had a great night. We want to thank Joao for his actitud and friendly listening to us..

The beds are none standard so a queen bed is two smaller ones next to each other. They must have used some cardboard to connect two smaller mattresses because the bed was so uncomfortable I slept 0 hours the first night. They will tell you they are out of mattress toppers. If you keep asking they will bring you a tinny one that doesn’t fit the mattress but it’s the best they can do...
They give you two single bnlankets for your queen bed. These things are so small that I couldn’t sleep with them. Nothing more romantic than sharing a queen bed but your partner is shivering under her own tinny blanket. When we asked for a queen blanket, we were told the hotel is fully booked and they don’t have any more... so they don’t stock enough bedding for all their beds...
Anyways I could tell you how my complaints lead to a duvet less blanket from the storage room that was so yellow and dirty and still not queen sized but I will skip that story...
DONT pay for the breakfast. Just ask to take a look before you commit. Mush of eggs were watery and the cheese and meat looked like they had been sitting out for days (8am). I have no idea how they get away with this overpriced breakfast.
So atmosphere sucks, food is bad, comfort is horrid, and the staff never asked if I needed anything or apologized for selling a queen room with amenities of a single room.

Cons: Parking is charged at CHF 29/- per night. The quality of the rooms was very average comparing to other hotels in the same group (Accor). It looked like a very old property inside the room as opposed to the exterior of the building. We stayed at 2 Mercure hotels as well which had better room quality.

Cons: The air conditioner was not working correctly. We had to move to another room to feel better. The hotel employee who came to see the problem, claimed that it was due to having four people in the room, ridiculous, but at least he was complacent in moving us to another room , which was much better.

Pros: Great Location with Tram access just in front. Good staff, Good breakfast, Clean rooms. We stayed with our 3 yr daughter and they didn't charge anything for her as well. This is good for family stay as well (except one minus point) Our stay was very pleasant and highly satisfied. We checked out early at last day of our stay (around 5.30 am) and even they opened the breakfast for us.

Pros: It was clean and we had enough room to move around and keep our stuff organize while in there. The fact that the train station is almost in front on the door is amazing. We were able to go back and forth without any problems. Great place to stay for the price!

Cons: Bathroom doors have no door locks. WC and Shower fixed at two separat cubicles and sink is open to the room. But room has enough space, so they easily could be arranged as a one bathroom.
