Pros: Everything really. The views of Zürich from the Dolder hills are stunning. The rooms all have wonderful terraces with great vistas too. Very comfortable with the best of modern bath and shower rooms, and luxury toiletries. A great offering of drinks at the bars and restaurants too. The food is excellent. Nothing was too difficult for the concierges and receptionists and we had some first class restaurant and wider experience recommendations. The best experiences for us were in the spa, pool and gym areas which were simply excellent.

Pros: Hotel is 10 stars and then some!! It’s insanely beautiful, clean, friendly, and calming. Food here is insanely expensive so be aware of that. Breakfast spread is good, I kind of expected more and the staff kept messing up on our breakfast orders but that did not deter us as they aimed to get it right. The hotel offers complimentary cars! Who does that!! The Dolder Grand does! The staff go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. Kudos to all! We loved our stay!

Cons: Access to the 2 Michelin stars "le Restaurant" requires booking well in advance, alas. Our family of 8 were unable to secure a table, despite staying at the hotel for a week. Breakfast service was sometimes a little slow, but the food and offering was always excellent.

Cons: We were extremely disappointed by this establishment and the quality of its service. The decor is successful but that's all this hotel can boast. Very narrow rooms, disorderly reception, disorganization of restaurant service (40 minutes waiting between the entrance and the maim dish, quality well below the asking price). We were especially shocked by the aggressiveness of one of the hostesses of the restaurant. Do not choose this hotel unless you have a very good offer otherwise it is not worth it!

The breakfast was amazing (best we had in Europe over two weeks) with fresh croissants, eggs and omelettes to order, veal sausage, fresh juice, bread and pastries, as well as fruit. The little one says the eclairs were delicious. Location right across from a tram station was fantastic. Staff were very helpful with getting us checked in and helping us with directions and ideas on what to see. We would definitely stay here again.

Cons: There's nothing in this hotel that makes it 4 stars, I can't understand why anyone would think that. It's more like a 2.5. Room is very small, bathroom even smaller, very simple hotel. Amenities are non-existent. Location is far from all touristic sites.

Cons: They dont let you book a breakfast included deal online. Also they take a seperate hefty deposit from your credit card which after 4 days still hasnt been returned in my case. The deposit is over $600.

The rooms are exquisite- we had a hallway with modern art leading to our charming yet very modern room with a living room w/ sofa and bedrooms. Pretty design and architectural elements. Cons: AC did not work in the room. It was sweltering. The staff said they had a technician coming the next day but that didn’t help me give I was only there for one night. Iron didn’t work that they sent to the room. Ironing board they provided was filthy. Reception rarely answered the phone.

Cons: While the property is marketed as being in an ‘upward trending’ area the area still needs some development. I assume this will improve as time goes by, none the less the fact that all the cafe type tables and chairs along the front of the hotel were cabled and locked to the building was indicative of the area and a little disconcerting. The breakfast was overpriced compared to the other hotel breakfasts we enjoyed all around Switzerland.

Cons: I booked this online thinking it was a budget hotel, considering the price. Receptionist didn't greet us with a smile nor he was being rude or anything but room is already booked and we're checking in at 6pm so I guess he thought no need to be nice.
Surprise came next morning. While we were checking out he asked 49chf and I was shocked as for why. It was for the breakfast we ate. Now, nobody told us anything about breakfast not being included and its hotels around this price range you would assume it is. I was really furious about it coz only salami yogurt and coffee at 22chf per person breakfast wow l. What a rip off!
What annoyed us the most is that receptionist guy didn't give any info about absolutely anything but when it comes to collect money.... I even had to ask about the Internet connection, he said 'written on the paper', the stuff that he gave us with the room key.

Cons: I was traveling from Stuttgart to Zurich and booked this hotel. It seems the dates got mixed up and I paid the weekend fare while I was checking in on a Friday, a day earlier, which was 20% cheaper than the fare I paid. Spoke to the manager, found him very unhelpful and he blamed booking.com for not being able to adjust the fare, which was incorrect. While they accommodated us with the rooms, felt for a hotel of this stature, it's manager unable to adjust 80 francs in fare to make it similar to what they were offering, was unimpressive.

Cons: The bathroom was very dated and the shower head wouldn’t stay in place meaning I had to continuously reposition it. Also the step down from the shower is dangerous as the ceiling comes dangerously close to hitting your head. If you’re above 6ft then you need to be careful. Also disappointing was the breakfast. on Sunday before checking out we went to breakfast at 9:45. Upon arrival as no bacon was left, I asked for some bacon and eggs to which the response was that no bacon would be made and I could only have eggs.

Cons: Room has very strict policy on number of pax per room; kid will also be considered 1 pax (equivalent to 1 adult) so got to be sure to book accordingly on their website or through booking.com We were informed to upgrade the room type as the room I've initially booked is not allowed to accommodate 4 pax. Some hiccups faced, which took a bit of time during the check-in phase, but the counter staff eventually sorted the logistics arrangements for us in the end.

The beds are none standard so a queen bed is two smaller ones next to each other. They must have used some cardboard to connect two smaller mattresses because the bed was so uncomfortable I slept 0 hours the first night. They will tell you they are out of mattress toppers. If you keep asking they will bring you a tinny one that doesn’t fit the mattress but it’s the best they can do...
They give you two single bnlankets for your queen bed. These things are so small that I couldn’t sleep with them. Nothing more romantic than sharing a queen bed but your partner is shivering under her own tinny blanket. When we asked for a queen blanket, we were told the hotel is fully booked and they don’t have any more... so they don’t stock enough bedding for all their beds...
Anyways I could tell you how my complaints lead to a duvet less blanket from the storage room that was so yellow and dirty and still not queen sized but I will skip that story...
DONT pay for the breakfast. Just ask to take a look before you commit. Mush of eggs were watery and the cheese and meat looked like they had been sitting out for days (8am). I have no idea how they get away with this overpriced breakfast.
So atmosphere sucks, food is bad, comfort is horrid, and the staff never asked if I needed anything or apologized for selling a queen room with amenities of a single room.

Pros: This is a descent hotel for the price, located very conveniently close to the Tram. Not far from the center but f the city and train station. Has a small gym and pool which was great for relaxing.
I highly recommend the hotel for the price and closeness to the tram, which connects easily t all locations.
Cons: The air conditioner was not working correctly. We had to move to another room to feel better. The hotel employee who came to see the problem, claimed that it was due to having four people in the room, ridiculous, but at least he was complacent in moving us to another room , which was much better.

Pros: The staff was really helpful and friendly, they have easily arranged for the early check-in and late check-out. The room was Ok. The breakfast was really good and of high quality and the coffee in the breakfast was amazing. The hotel is very close to Technopark station, so you could take the tram easily to the city center in 18 minutes or less.
Cons: The stay was too expensive for what the hotel offers. It felt like they are checking off items on the to-have list just to get the 4-stars covered: the "playground" they have is in reality a 3 old swings shared with the neighbouring hotel, the swimming pool they have is actually very small, indoors and located in the basement with direct entrance to the garage, it won't even fit 2 families and smells terribly like chlorine. The patio and outdoor area they have is also shared with the neighbour hotel and tiny for the amount of guests. The coffee and tea facilities they promise in the rooms are exactly one tea bag of each kind, 2 very bad instant coffee sachets and 2 packets of creamer which tasted horrible with the low quality coffee, and carton one-time use cups. Pillows were also very high and hard for my taste. I honestly expected much higher quality for everything for this price per night.

Cons: We were only here for one night, the other nights were spent in Europe. I'd forgotten that Switzerland has different plug sockets to the rest of Europe and at 11am I realised from a not very friendly receptionist that I'd need to pay a cash deposit of 20chf. As it was our only night in Switzerland I didn't have any swiss francs on me, only euro's. They would not accept a card deposit. After a bit of arguing the receptionist reluctantly handed me an adapter quite rudely demanding that I 'don't forget' to hand back in the morning.

Pros: It was a good location, just a short tram ride and walk from the Hauptbahn Hoff. It was a great size for our large family (there are 6 of us) and was comfortable and clean. There is a grocery store nearby which was helpful. Overall, the location is not too far from the main historic and business district of Zurich - just a short walk to the tram and then you can take the tram to just about anywhere in the city). We would definitely stay at this property again. I would note that the check in process is not particularly clear - you have to go to a kiosk which is about a block away from the apartment building, you then retrieve your key card from the kiosk and walk about a block to the building. Not a huge deal.

Cons: I needed to phone several times to contact the host as there was no one there to meet as as per our arrangement. It all got sorted very quickly once I was able to speak to someone.

Cons: Me and my colleague stayed here in two separate apartments for 35 days due to work. As advertised, this is supposed to be ‘luxury’ living but when we arrived the apartment was poorly maintained. For instance, shower head was broken, toilet seat was broken, drawers could not open properly, paint was peeling off the wall. Also, in their booking.com policy mentioned there will be daily cleaning service. However, our rooms were only cleaned once a week only when we asked. We honestly DID NOT mind any of these till the day we checked out. We were given a 130CHF cleaning bill each, deducted automatically from my credit card. I only realised this when I returned back home. I tried calling for clarification and had to call daily ( seriously ) for almost a week till someone in charge could answer me and said he would return the charges and cancel the cleaning fee as I pointed out to him my room was not left in a mess. However it’s been a month and they did not refund me. Truly disappointed with my stay !

Pros: Ours was the studio apartment at this complex. Lift opens right into the apartment. Apartment was huge compared to any hotel room that I had been to. It has a huge bathroom and bathtub. It has a kitchen as well. Many windows that look out into this Zurich neighbourhood. Bus stop is nearby that takes us to the city in under 15minutes.

Cons: IT'S on RED LIGHT DISTRICT area, so its very noisy at night. It's a safe area but, very lively an noisy, we couldn't get a proper sleep especially on the second night, the noise only stopped at 5.30am. We are surprised especially in the apartment there is a note saying that 10pm is the quiet zone. We were lucky to get the parking space in front of the hotel, so thats a nice bonus to cover our disappointment with the noise. The apartment was so warm when we stayed there, so we needed to open the windows, but the noise was unbearable. on the last night we close the windows, we slept very hot, but the noise still bothering us, the owner really need to replace the double glazing or change it to triple glazing if they still want to do business. Otherwise, people will only going to come once and give bad comments.
