9,6 Excellent
Pros: It's one of the best hotel we've ever been, everything was perfect. It's located in a beautiful neighbourhood, good to walk up to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The breakfast offered a wide choice, both chinese (we were able to taste also some very tasty local food) and continental and the quality was very high. The staff was very friendly and made all possible efforts to make our stay a wonderful experience, they helped a lot also in booking a tour with driver to the Terracotta Army Museum and to get ticket for a traditional show. English was well spoken and understood, no issues.
Cons: Really nothing bad to mention, only to keep in mind that the hotel is in the south of the city and so not at walking distance from city walls and downtown. Anyway, it's not far in taxi or via metro and doesn't make any difference to see the Terracotta Amy, as the Museum is quite far away from the city.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were only to sorry that we could not stay longer. Everyone was so welcoming, thank you Bella & Zhou. The location is absolutely perfect for a short stay, the Pergola is walking distance with loads of malls and restaurant. The hotel right from check in to hotel colleagues welcoming you in the morning was first class. Also the club lounge team thank you for welcoming us. I can hand on heart say this is the hotel to book in Xi’an.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Located in a new area at south of the city, close to shopping malls, parks and the arts district. Only 20 minutes walk to the Great Wild Goose Pagoda. The staff is very friendly and the room is spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast (buffet style) are delicious. Very good area for its scenery, jogging and leisure. In the room you can find a cell phone to use during your stay; very useful to make and receive calls, search maps and other things.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The concierge staff are very good; they helped us a great deal and breakfast is very good at this hotel.
Cons: The local map provided by the Hotel needs improvement. The underground train map is completely inaccurate.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The fantastic checkin staff upgraded us to a beautiful luxurious suite. The breakfast was fantatstic with a vast selection of western and eastern delicacies.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding property. 5 star amenities and lodging with wonderful staff for 3 star prices.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Best location at Xi’an, walking distance to 大唐不夜城 one of the most popular areas. Lots of restaurants nearby, it’s really convenient.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge and came with every amenity possible. The staff went out of their way to help. The buffet meals were exceptional
Cons: I wish China would allow internet and things like instagram, but that is not the hotel's fault.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: During our stay in Xian, we took an overnight trip to Huashan. Upon our return, we realized we forgot to ask for our deposit (200 yuan) back from the hotel at Huashan. Amanda made the special effort to contact the hotel and get our deposit transferred back. Thanks, Amanda.. great service!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Angel and Bella were excellent, the entire team were excellent, staff have a really good attitude Really gave 110%. Thank you for the wonderful stay. The breakfast was excellent, pool was excellent and gym too. I have staid in many 5 stars, but the attention and care were a step up. The activities are excellent too, I learned some Chinese, Calligraphy and Art too. I believe this is the best hotel. I recommend non English speakers to stay in this hotel too, as a lot of staff can speak English.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent! We got incredibly personalized attention. Angel went above and beyond! She provided activities (Chinese lessons, "magic" painting, and Chinese tea class), delighting both me and the children. She even worked late to accommodate our schedule! I was truly impressed by the experience - the hotel itself is lovely, and our stay was a highlight of our trip, due in large part to staff, like Angel!

8,3 Excellent
Pros: spacious room, good level spa, good breckfast, good design of the hotel, helpful staff
Cons: non professional service in lobby bar - destroyed dessert but served anyway (with my complain),
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is great and the views are simply stunning. You can't go wrong with any of the selected views in the list of rooms. All of the usual suspects are nearby: Starbucks, Pizza Hut, ect. as well as some premium restaurants near the hotel. The location is good enough where you can choose between a premium meal experience, or a humble meal and filling. It is a bit far from the metro, if that matters. It's a good 5 - 10 minute walk to the nearest station. Honestly, Xi'an is small enough that you can get around by taxi easily. You can save 50 - 100 RMB by taking the metro from this location directly to the Xi'an North Railway station without changing lines. In fact, it's faster and I suggest that if you are not encumbered. The piano bar in the hotel is quite nice, although a little empty at times. The service was excellent and the "Red Hands" room service was accommodating and friendly. The laundry service was prompt and quick. You will get a premium experience here. The room was really clean and the maid service does a great job each and every day. Fantastic job guys.
Cons: The WIFI was laughably bad even if you are only accessing Baidu. I couldn't do anything and had to rely on my cell phone for internet service for my PC. If you are traveling for business and absolutely need the internet, look elsewhere. A very surprising thing was the inconsistency of the shower's water temperature levels. At times, the water would suddenly jump to scalding hot as I was using it. If this was a budget hotel, I could forgive it. However, I payed a premium price for this room and I was very disappointed with a detail like this being overlooked especially with most everything being so good.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location however the side gate is closed at 11pm which is a bit too early since there is much happening at the furong xintiandi
Cons: Staff at the main door does not know how to get a taxi in for guest. He looks puzzled and apparently does not know what to do when we requested a taxi to be waved in for us. Such standard definitely does not match 5 star in any parts of the world.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is so beautiful and clean. There are lots of restaurants near by ,the metro is only about a 5 minute walk .
Cons: Food in club lounge tended to be s little cold but other than that perfect
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 4 nights in March and loved practically everything about the hotel. The overall design of the hotel, its elegant decoration, and its sheer size is meant to impress, and it does. We liked the location - situated a bit off the busy center but in a quiet, upscale part of town with a beautiful park and gardens all around, and yet, still easy to access by Metro. The restaurant serves very good food, and the breakfast is excellent. The small cakes and pastries at breakfast are like those in a fine Parisian pastry shop -- the best I've had for any breakfast buffet in any 5-star hotel (and I've been to many all over). The staff service is good, and there is always someone at the reception who speaks good English. Paloma, who heads the Guest Experience team, is simply wonderful and very welcoming. The personal attention she gave us, we appreciated very much. The hotel is large and sprawling, and the rooms spacious and tastefully decorated, with a firm bed and comfortable pillows. On our last morning, as we had to leave early to get to the railway station, they packed us breakfast bags to go, including hot coffee. For the price we paid, this Melia exceeded our expectations. The quality of the Melia service far exceeded that of a very upscale hotel in Beijing for which we paid almost 3 times the price for an exclusive club room. I had stayed in other hotels of the Melia chain before, but this was the most beautiful, and had the best service I've experienced. If I were to return to Xi'an, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Cons: The quality of the bathroom amenities (shampoo, soap, etc) could be improved (maybe more "natural", or boutique brand?). No clear signs or indications of facilities or layout map of the hotel, e.g. swimming pool. As the hotel is huge, with several wings, and beside a mall, without any sign and lack of lighting in some large halls we passed, made it so much more confusing. We wanted to try out the pool on our last evening, but despite going all around, we failed to find it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: this hotel has an awesome location close to shops and loads of restaurants. the breakfast was amazing and the selection was overwhelming. this hotel was the best of all the hotels we stayed in during our visit to china
9,2 Excellent
Pros: + The location is great (although not central) as it is close to some of the nicer areas in Xi'an. + The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. + Rooms are very comfortable.
Cons: - Several staff members did not speak English well and it was a challenge conveying some issues that we faced.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best selections I've ever experienced
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and spacious room, pleasant location (not in the centre, but in a very nice part of Xian)

Cons: The bed was kinda Chinese style Hard if you like a Hard Matress you dont mind this negative post.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff, especially Ms. He Rui Man, who worked at the front desk, were friendly, well informed, and exceptionally helpful with every request, sometimes anticipating what I would need before I thought to ask. I asked for her Chinese name so that I could write a comment and express my favorable review. In addition, the hotel facilities, themselves, are of the highest quality. Housekeeping was excellent. A jammed window was fixed within minutes. This was an exceptional experience. The food served at the breakfast and evening buffet, was wonderful. I could not be more pleased.
Cons: My only concern was the cost. It seems they only provided expensive, high value items on their menu. Light meals or snacks did not seem to be available.

Pros: The roads beautiful
Cons: No shopping areas

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Friendly staff
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: Reception doesn’t speak any English. A thousand deposit for what??? Fried eggs on the same pan as bacon,...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, very central and only a short walk to Muslim quarters, street market, small pagoda as well as both towers (bell and drum). The rooms were relatively clean, and most staff spoke English. The staff were kind and friendly they helped resolve all our issues very quickly and helped us find the local attractions as well as recommending good places to eat that were more local and tourist.
Cons: Even though we were in non smoking rooms, people were smoking outside our door and had previously smoked in the rooms, there was cigarette burns on the side. The staff were friendly and moved our rooms the interiors had the same issues but no people smoking outside at least. The restaurant was also lacking in both quality and quantity, it felt like the kitchen staff didn't know what they were doing, but with such great food outside that was not an issue The rooms also did not have windows and the heating was permanently on, but if you plan to explore like us that isn't an issue.

The staff resolved these issues for us. This hotel is in a great location. It is very clean and comfortable. Book here if you are staying in Xi'an. Additional comment: If you are going to Xi'an to see the Terra Cotta Soldiers, plan to stay in Xi'an a day or two more. This is a great city with lots going on.

5,0 Okay
Cons: No air con - when I asked for it to be fixed we were told to open a window. Pollution was 300+ aqi. After paying for a deluxe king room I don’t think this is an acceptable solution to a top of 30 degrees where my girlfriend had to have a cold shower in the muddle of the night because she couldn’t sleep.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect in every way from the minute we arrived until we left. Received an upgrade to suites which was fabulous. Cons: Nothing to highlight, really pleasant stay
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Comfortable hotel. Good facilities. Pool was great. We were offered an upgrade on check in for an extra 700RMB for our stay and it was well worth it. Included breakfast, late check out, happy hour and afternoon tea in the executive lounge. Luna deserves a special mention for her help with finding a fabulous local noodle place for lunch and her patience with the younger members of our group. She was a real credit to the Hilton team
Cons: Nothing. Just a shame that having booked through Booking.com, I wasn’t able to register the stay for Hilton points.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property was so beautiful and staff was very helpful. They haloed arranges a driver to take us to Terra-cotta warriors for the whole day including stops along the way. The Happy Hour and Afternoon tea was also amazing if you can make the time. We didn’t have the breakfast but I’m sure would have been amazing too. I really appreciated the decor in the lobby, very elegant and historical references.
Cons: None!
6,3 Good
Pros: Location is great, concierge service was excellent!
Cons: The room seems damp and smelt of dampness everyday when we returned to the hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Break fast should have the vegetarian and non-vegetarian sign on the food counters. It is said the world is not conducive for the vegetarians.
Cons: The room had a glass window for the toilet which we did not like and the food did not have the sign.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: My husband and myself stayed at Hilton 4 nights. After a tiring, long and delayed flight we checked in and the room was terrible.. old and dirty, bathroom smelled like an ashtray (it was a non smoking room) they changed our room , but still it was too far from Hilton Hotel standards (don’t trust the pictures at all!!!), every time we had shower in our slippers, because the floor In the shower never looked clean. Western restaurant was terrible as well, even the menu is full of food stains. Every night we had dinner at Chinese restaurant in the hotel, it was very hard to find English speaking waiter and make the order (even though there are pictures), each night it was only us and maximum 1 more table occupied, for this amount of clients the service is extremely bad and slow. Food is ok Last night we had our usual dinner at Chinese restaurant and after we asked for the bill , manager came to our table, interacted our conversation to inform us that our deposit has been finished and we need to add more deposit (at the reception of the hotel). This behavior is extremely rude and unprofessional. The high light of the trip is in-room dining in the morning of our check out , which we were waiting since 6:00am to 6:30am , it never arrived and when we left the room we found out that our order(a door menu which you fill up, put outside and staff supposed to collect it before 3:00am) was never collected. So we left hungry.. We travel a lot around the world and China and this is the first time we experienced such a bad service in a 5 start worldwide known Hotel.

Pros: The staff were excellent and very accommodating, Food was good, location was good for us. loved the greeting when we arrived and the staff were very friendly.
Cons: nothing It was all very good. tours were good.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Big and quiet room, comfortable bed, good location close to metro station. Kindly given a gift of fruit and wine as birthday gift. Reception staff efficient with organising taxi.
Cons: Breakfast and dinner buffet ok but not good considering the cost. WiFi stopped working for hours and when staff were asked about this, they would say only that it "maybe wouldn't work for a long time." It was eventually fixed, but it was a lot of hassle. Whilst staff tried to be helpful, continuous phone calls and knocks on the door to apologise were an unwanted and unnecessary disturbance of the peace. Staff not as knowledgeable with tourist info as expected.

7,5 Good
Pros: Great hotel with beautiful facilities. I especially liked the gym and pool. However, location is not as good as I had expected. Still around 20 minutes from the city centre and there is not much to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. That said, still makes a good base and they were helpful in arranging tour to see the Terracotta Warriors.
Cons: Location could be better.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staffs attentive
Cons: Maybe it’s a bit expensive

Remember Abby and Alicia at FO. The concierge gentleman and1 more gentleman who help me view CCTV. But I couldn't remember both of the gentleman name. Thank you very much.

7,1 Good
Pros: Mens change room had two built in pools. One hot and one cold. Very nice to relax.
Cons: I asked for a taxi then waited 15 minutes while the hotel ordered a special one that cost twice as much as a normal cab. As a result of the wait I missed my train to Beijing. I could have just walked to the street and got a half price cab right away.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Breakfast!
Cons: The hotel should offer free shuttle bus to main attractions.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food at breakfast! Childfriendly
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location and facilities

5,0 Okay
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Staff were a little incompetent
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The service from the English-speaking staff was exquisite. They cleaned the room several times a day, reflilling our waters etc. Good breakfast.
Cons: The rooms were a little run down.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing and service was prompt during our stay. The staff go out of their way to greet you and make your stay more personalized.
Cons: Although not in the center of town- we didn't mind.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Opulence & grandeur of Sofitel luxury.
Cons: Bacon rashers at breakfast not crispy but chewy. Too many stand up instruction/notice cards in the room - fussy. Walking distance to local shops/facilities but accept it’s a big city of over 11 million on a grand scale.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms of variable renovation standard, older rooms / suite rather impractical design eg you have to operate teecooker on the floor to be able to plug it in. Breakfast + happy hour promotion chosen, very nice and generous apero riche in evenings

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel located next to the metro station exit - so even if hotel is not deep in the middle of the city location is very convenient. We got an upgrade (had reserved two superior rooms and got a two-floor suite) so we had great comfort.. Also the concierge and reception staff are friendly and speak adequate English.
Cons: Rooms can be little noisy if overlooking the neighbouring buildings' rooftops full with aircon and ventilation machineries. Also the swimming pool was a little small; but these are minor notes on the otherwise great overall experience.
5,0 Okay
Cons: We arrived after midnight tired from traveling all day. The next morning at 9:00 we we’re awakened by the sound of banging pipes from plumbing going on in the bathroom above us. The following night there was no water in our toilet. Maintenance came and then said the manager would call. Minutes later a bellboy came to move us. No call, no warning. This was after 11 pm. We left the next day and no one said anything about the incident.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room and decent breakfast. The proximity to the subway was excellent.
Cons: Everything was great. Sheraton was a nice respite during some independent travel in China.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Due to misleading information of room type, I Found room I booked can’t fit my requirements, but the staff of Sheraton give me support after understanding my problem. Great problem resolving skill!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: the pastry
Cons: the food is the same everyday
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We booked the hotel online and weren't sure what to expect on our first trip to Xi'an. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing, the room was amazing, we couldn't have hoped for anything more.
Cons: Our room was overly warm, though we didn't bother to ask if that could be fixed.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very clean, looked brand new. Staff were helpful and attentive. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable, this would be an excellent long stay hotel.
Cons: Upon check in the hotel tired to change our reservations to single bed rooms, when we had requested king size beds when the rooms were booked nearly 3 months before. Not the hotels fault, but the city was very dirty and the smog was some of the worst I have seen in China.
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was to a large scale with lots of choice options for different cultures. Clean and tidy. Room service options run 24/7. The hotel is next to the subway so if your sightseeing you can get anywhere fast.
Cons: Two smaller details. The swimming pool was not kept to a standard that this hotel should expect. Equipment for cleaning has been left around the edges of the pool. The two smaller pools were not full and the jacuzzi button not working with the level of water below the water jets. Very different from the pictures posted online. My wife's birthday was during this trip and I asked the lady at the front desk if they could prepare something for me. The lady kindly suggested she will send a fruit plate. However, it never arrived.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Had most of the features that ypu’d expect in this category of hotel
Cons: Room lacked a view
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Buffet at breakfast and dinner were very good. My partner's children loved the pool. Food and Beverage Manager was extremely helpful with my dietary restrictions.
Cons: Concierge could know more English. Just a little far from Museums, and the central scene.
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff were nice. Fantastic restaurant.
Cons: I was told by my travel agent that it was located by the wall. But you cannot enter the wall at the North gate. We walked 20 min then took a bus then walked 20 min so took one hour 15 min to get there.
6,3 Good
Pros: Clean, good breakfasts, well appointed hotel.
Cons: Concierge desk seldom had a concierge. Check in not good, check out absolutely terrible (took 20 minutes and cab driver was threatening to leave). Bar staff inattentive. Swimming pool unavailable.

2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Location was okay, that’s about it.
Cons: Old and very tired building. Rooms were tiny, dark, and dingy with no views. Service was disappointing. Put us on a smoking floor even though we requested otherwise when booking, people smoking in their rooms and in the hallway. air conditioning didn’t work, only the fan, pool was tiny and had about 40 peoples in it which made it very full and unappealing. We asked for a second key card but they said they couldn’t provide as they were running low on key cards, really?! Concierge was very young, when we asked him to call us a taxi, he said he’d do it from his phone which meant he’d be charged via his phone, implying we’d have to pay him. We asked why he couldn’t call a taxi from the hotel phone, he couldn’t explain and called the manager (btw, we speak Mandarin, albeit a bit broken, but no issues in Shanghai or Beijing). The manager then called us the taxi. Granted it was golden week here, and the staff were perhaps overwhelmed, but disappointing.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Room was huge, clean and comfortable. Great value for money.
Cons: We booked the hotel specifically because it had a swimming pool. However, the swimming pool was closed due to maintenance.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Room Price
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, nice room, friendly staff
Cons: Everything was fine
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at check-in was most helpful, in particular Willin. He carefully listened and took the effort to address my concerns. While the hotel is located some distance away from the key tourist attractions, there is a subway station right at the front of the hotel, which makes all the key attractions easily accessible.
Cons: Please be aware that there are two groups of rooms. Some rooms are refurbished and very nice while some others are not and may feel a little dated.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff were very courteous and willing to assist in any way possible. The hotel is right next to a main metro stop so I was able to get to many of the historic spots such as the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda real easily even in the snow. Nice and comfortable... Not impeccably clean but sufficient.
Cons: Room service was a bare minimum and the chef wasn't always there so I couldn't order certain items all the time. The bus shuttle that the hotel provided to the airport after checkout had the rudest bus driver I ever ran across... And I've been around many rude ones before.

Cons: Staff speak English poorly. Breakfest not very well
5,0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was large and clean with reasonable rooms and facilities.
Cons: Limited English speaking for an International hotel, poor quality food, very poor internet, overpriced for what was delivered.
4,2 Okay
Pros: The view on the river is ok if you live on 6th floor. Bed and pillows are quite good.
Cons: Very poor food choices. In general the hotel is rather old and poorly maintained. Also very remote from the city.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great luxury, excellent food choices especially breakfast. 15min away from central xian
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, spacious and had great view as it is close to a river. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hot pot buffet is worth it.
Cons: The wall to wall carpet in the rooms. The German restaurant.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, loved this hotel. Big room; very comfortable.
6,7 Good
Pros: Room large and comfortable but a little dated and showing signs of minor but needed maintenance. Great swimmimg pool and locker.
Cons: The work out room was barely adequate and tended to be just set for aerobics. The main issue was the wi fi was terrible and the staff did not know the password, when I finally got the wi fi to work it was so slow and spotty it was if no use. This is not acceptable for a highly rated hotel. The staff in the men's locker room was surley one day and helpful the next.
