Pros: Lovely place, nice staff and fab breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautiful brick with ivy and lots of character in a country setting only 10 minutes from Manchester airport, the home-cooked breakfast was excellent (I had scrambled eggs on toast with big juicy mushrooms), the staff was attentive, and the pub nearby was a pleasant place to relax and eat after an evening walk across the river and through the fields.
7,0 Good
Pros: Did not have breakfast. The double bed was a ok not a lot of room too move around the room maybe a smaller chair.
Cons: Sadly when we stayed there was flooding which cut off the power in the early afternoon. Which meant we could not have any hot drinks or a shower plus in the dark as nobody came to our aid until the morning with a small light by which time the power was on the next day in the afternoon.

Premier Inn Manchester - Wilmslow - Wilmslow - Building
7
8,6 Excellent (534 reviews)
R1 306+
Overview Reviews
With its boutique shops, cafes and restaurants, Wilmslow is one of the UK's most pleasant places to be. You're nestled between the bustle of Manchester and the dairy fields of Cheshire, and if you want to go further afield, Manchester Airport is just up the road. Spot a deer or two roaming in Tatton Park. Or do some serious plane spotting at Aviation Park. Visit some big name retail stores at Trafford Centre, or keep the little ones amused at Quarry Bank Mill. Once you're done come back and relax at the hotel in our super-comfy kingsize Hypnos beds and enjoy a delicious meal at the Harvester restaurant next door.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is perfect if you have an early flight. Only 10-15 minutes taxi ride away.
Cons: We weren’t notified that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment prior to arriving so had to go into Wilmslow for our meal.9
6,3 Good
Pros: No facilities I.e. somewhere to eat as the pub next door had closed down
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, good size, good showers, comfy bed.
Cons: No breakfast as the restaurant had closed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It's a typical Premier Inn, basic but comfortable
Cons: Lack of any food facilities on site is a bit of a pain with having to order something in, but its not the end of the world. Floors can be a bit creaky if theres some heavy footed guests staying in rooms above!
5,5 Okay
Pros: Quite place
Cons: Near the airport
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Shower Comfy room Very clean Nice staff
Cons: Nothing
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed and welcoming staff.
Cons: No air conditioning although a fan was provided.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfortable
Cons: More tea and sugar but not a problem really
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast we a pre packed box with porridge, a grain bar and on orange juice, Not to my tastes.
Cons: No onsite resturant
7,5 Good
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean. The receptionist was friendly.
Cons: I didn't like the location, no shops and restaurants around, no public transport available. We arrived there in the evening, and had to take a ten-minute walk to the nearby town to have something to eat. I booked the room there because the hotel seemed to be close to Manchester Airport, but you can only get there by taxi/car. An Uber taxi from the airport costs about 17 pounds one way. If you add this to your hotel room price, you don't get a good value for money. I think it would be much easier and cheaper to book a room in Manchester and get there by a local train from the airport.

Pros: Spacious en-suite room with a view over the valley. Comfortable bed. Central location for my activities.
Cons: A little tight for parking.
6,3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. My case was carried upstairs for me and back down when I left.
Cons: The en-suite was tiny, like a portashower and portaloo combined that I had to step up into. I was on the second floor up a narrow staircase and I think other rooms on that floor didn't have en-suite and there was constant toing and froing throughout the night that kept me awake.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfy and was a minute from the train station.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay - we really loved it. The house is in a fantastic location. We could walk to the supermarket and to the main street with an ATM, restaurants, a fish and chip shop, and a cinema. We didn't realise how close the house was to the canal. We were able to walk along the canal for many kilometres in beautiful English countryside and also watched boats coming through the locks. And, my goodness, the breakfast was outstanding! What a treat!

Pros: We have never stayed here before though we have been in the area many times and we are sorry that we had not known about it previously. We liked the whole ambience of the place, the attitude of the staff, the beautiful well maintained garden that we were able to sit out in with an evening drink. The room we were in was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable plus the Wi-fi worked immediately ,not always the case!! We would highly recommend this hotel because of all these things but also because it was very good value for money. .

7,5 Good
Pros: Pleasant atmosphere. Staff were friendly.
Cons: At times a bit noisey
6,3 Good
Pros: Restaurant was nice, food quality and service.
Cons: Room location (102). Needed to have the blind down as it was on the ground floor outside the kitchens. Had the window open as it was so warm and had to listen to the swearing and blinding as they came and went. Most definitely would not stay on any ground floor rooms looking onto the staff car park and kitchens. Unfortunately there was a wedding party with lots of children running all over the place including the bar area.
6,8 Good
Pros: Location, good parking available
Cons: Room was 'tired' needing updating.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fabulous and any 2 mins from airport without the noise
Cons: Nothing
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was amazing and the breakfast options were also great. The staff were fantastic start to finish.
Cons: Our room had a very creaky floor and the walls were so thin I got woken up by someone snoring in the room above us. You could here people walk quietly through the halls, let alone if they were speaking to one another.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, fantastic staff. Helped as much as possible with keeping us cool during the heatwave.
Cons: Visited when weather was 35 degrees (celcius) but the rooms aren't air conditioned and so it was unbearably hot. The staff kindly provided a second fan which supplied a bit of relief but no where near enough. I know it very rarely gets that hot in the UK but the windows barely open so the air flow could be improved in the bedrooms at least.
7,5 Good
Pros: Bedroom was really nice, dinner in the restaurant was very very good. We were just staying over the night before an early flight and location for that was excellent.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit dated
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was good for the airport. The check in was very quick and all the staff pleasant. The food in the Tap & Pantry was nice and the beer very drinkable.
Cons: The floor in our room was very noisy when walked on. It was a warm evening and there is no air conditioning, they did provide a fan - so take this in to account when booking in the summer.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Near airport, but was like a country hotel. Also staff very cheerful and couldn’t do enough for you. Food excellent and dinning room absolutely beautiful, actually the whole area, bar, dinning room and reception was very pleasing to the eye.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and the junior suite was huge with great facilities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent room and facilities great grounds and staff.
6,8 Good
Pros: The bar and restaurant are lovely
Cons: The rooms very dated carpet dingy and beds very small. We were in a superior room and I dread to think what the others are like

8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal for us. The continental breakfast was great and the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfy.
Cons: There was no hot running water in the morning so the shower was quite cold. The room itself was quite dark, even with the light on, which made getting ready more difficult.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety to chose from. The staff were friendly and efficient. The bedroom was clean and tastefully decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Overall, a very nice hotel.
Cons: My only grumble was the bathroom, it had mold on the shower curtain and the grout in the shower was black around the bottom edges. The shower was fine in the evening but we couldn't get any hot water in the morning.
6,8 Good
Cons: Our room top floor didnt sleep very hot kitchen noise traffic cant be helped light coming from under the door .7am onwards sistern filling noises very loud
4,5 Okay
Pros: Location was ideal because of the venue our function was in.
Cons: No lift. Very steep stairs. Breakfast was dismal. Paid for B & B but it was only a continental breakfast included and this was not specified. A cooked breakfast could be paid for separately. Bar Staff extremely slow and inefficient. A bottle of water for the room was an extortionate price and they wouldn’t bring it to your room. No air conditioning or fan in our room.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good location and nice room
Cons: Unbelievably hot due to no air conditioning so did not sleep a wink.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, good sized room convenient location, pleasant staff.
Cons: We could hear noise (TV and then snoring!) from the next room!
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Nice restaurant. As a vegetarian, more healthy offerings would have been good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The resteraunt was very good, with exceptional food and wine, combined with good service in most cases it was a very nice stay and would certainly stay there again.
Cons: The room was a bit small, and the floor creaked, which caused the wardrobe to creak also. A couple of the young male bar staff, were a little cocky on a couple of occasions, first time was when I asked for a glass of house red wine after my dinner; the young lad, just said 'We don't do house wine' so when I questioned, this because it's what I had been requested on two occasions with my dinner, with no problem, he just said, 'I can't help that, we don't do house wine! Personally I found this a bit anti-social. The second occasion was when a friend of mine who I was having a drink with before dinner; my friend ordered a drink at the barn to have a similar issue with one of the young barmen, being a bit rood. To be honest it was a bit too much of a coincidence to me that two different barmen being a bit anti-social/cocky to patrons.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and breakfast
Cons: Room right on the top floor no lift
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, bed very comfortable and television was a good size. The continental breakfast was great. Lovely croissants and a very good selection. That was a surprise. The restaurant area was very nice and the staff very friendly. Would recommend to family and friends.

6,8 Good
Pros: lovely staff comfortable stay
Cons: We were not aware breakfast stopped been served at 9.30 ...we arrived down at 10 am and was told sorry no food or tea or coffee ...

Pros: Room and bed were comfortable. We were a family of four. We had a lovely Sunday meal in the pub next door. We used the nearby railway station to go into Manchester and we used the Metrolink in and around Manchester. It was very easy to go to places.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A great location for Manchester Airport, only a 10 minute drive to terminal 1. A cheaper option than staying close to the airport. The pub next door is great too. Reasonable priced food and drink.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good service, comfy bed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Closeness of a fabulous pub! Food was amazing.
Cons: Nothing
6,8 Good
Pros: Bed was comfy, location to airport very vood
Cons: Horrible smell through the hotel, no tea or coffee in the room on arrival, and we couldnt get hold of reception when we left, despite it being 24/7
7,5 Good
Pros: Hotel location spot on..
Cons: The food in the bar was over price and microwave food wouldnt recommended it..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place great breakfast
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Usual premier inn standards, couldn't fault the room or the staff.
Cons: Being woken up by workmen at 9.15 in the morning when we had very late check in coming from the airport the night before. For a hotel that covers the airport area and when guests arrive in the early hours of the morning it was a bit early for us to be woken up by drilling and lots of banging of doors.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to the airport and airport parking. The staff were very nice. It was quite quiet too which was good as often hotels near the airport are very noisy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really clean and comfortable hotel. We stayed here as we had an early flight the next morning. It was only a 9 minute drive to the airport perfect, also has a pub attached for food and that was great to.

Pros: Excellent location, good value for money with fridge microwave and fan in room. Able to check in early
Cons: Temperamental shower hot cold hot cold but looks like new owners trying to upgrade premises
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean Tidy with the added bonus of a fridge and microwave
Cons: The stairs are a little disappointing, they need an overall update, the owner did apologize as he is updating everything, would I stay again? Yes I would

Pros: The new bar and dining area is fantastic, great staff and delicious food. We stayed here same time last year to attend an annual carnival , the hotel is undergoing extensive renovation and the difference is amazing. Hopefully we will be there this time next year too and look forward to seeing it closer to the finished thing. Well done Barry great job so far.

Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Trains during the night kept waking us. Bathroom needed tlc. Shabby with small amounts of mold Stair area grubby (due to be decorated I believe.) No hot water from basin tap, although shower was fine. Bedroom door was badly fitting. Couldn’t access internet.

Pros: Great meet and greet, friendly staff excellent food as a female travelling for work on my own felt really safe.
Cons: Nothing had a great experience.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and tv was a very decent size.. could do with more tea and coffee in room but apart from that excellent!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. This place is going through a transition, with new ownership in the last year, which means this place is still a bargain whilst there are still some renovations to be done. The bar/restaurant is brand new and very smart, the food is absolutely incredible - fat fat beyond expectations as the price is low and the hotel rooms need updating. That said, the hotel rooms are incredibly clean, new TVs/kettles etc just a little old fashioned in comparison to the new parts. The staff and owner were also incredibly friendly.

Pros: Parking ok. Food good.
Cons: Shower not working. No breakfast. No details of fire exits.
6,8 Good
Pros: Location near transport interchange and town centre including remarkable old market hall Good shower. Kitchen facilities. Immediate response to a minor problem.
Cons: Noise from trams/trains. Bathroom lacked mat and toilet brush. Car park is shared with next door offices - our car was blocked in by 9am one day - no warning had been given about this.

Pros: Welcoming staff member. Extremely handy for Manchester Airport, but without paying high price.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
5,0 Okay
Cons: The room was extremely dated (decor appeared to be from the 1980's), faded carpet, bath unclean and extremely old. There was no air conditioning or fan in the room and it was extremely hot. I'm unclear whether other rooms had been updated and would therefore be more comfortable and represent value for money but at £80 per night it wasn't value for money. It appeared to be a stag and been Mecca so if that's what you're after then it probably will suit your needs
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location with large car park able to accommodate works van easily. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great Indian menu for evening meal.
Cons: Mattress was extremely hard and the room was stifling hot even with the window open. Quite noisy from being next to fire doors which appeared to slam during the night

Pros: Great location and very comfy bedding was like sleeping on a cloud all night
Cons: N/A

Cons: The room was tiny and hot. We used the fan to keep cool but the noise kept us awake. The shower was poor. We tried wine in the bar. 2 glasses of different wine, they were grim. For £6 a glass that’s a lot of money for stuff I wouldn’t sell to the Apache’s.

Cons: We arrived here for a one night stay with our 4 year old daughter. On arrival we found a large group of drunk people outside in various states and a similar situation inside. With more than one party taking place the venue was loud and we were kept awake until 4am. Not a pleasant experience.

Pros: WiFi was down when I arrived, staff called me with repeated updates as it was being fixed as they knew I was anxiously awaiting connection to get some work done. Room service for food was fast.
Cons: I requested a Full size, ended up with just two singles pushed side by side and they kept moving apart from each other.
7,5 Good
Pros: I was very pleased with the helpfulness of the girls on reception. The breakfast was lovely and also staff at breakfast time.
Cons: I felt that the hotel had nowhere to sit down outside if the weather is good. After we arrived I wanted to let my sister in law have a nap in peace and I needed to sit on a wall outside as nowhere else provided. Our room was very comfortable no 106. Bed lovely and no problem having the use of an iron and a couple of extra towels. Unfortunately the flooring below the toilet was very soft and you felt it could cave in and silicone round sink very mouldy. Shower curtain very dated. Otherwise very happy with our stay.

Cons: Nothing
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff on front desk not welcoming at all, very miserable. Couldn’t really be bothered. Put into an attic room yes an attic room in the top of the hotel. No lift!!! For my elderly mother so 2 flights of long winding stairs for her to climb asked to change rooms told sorry hotel is fully booked. your not happy!! With attitude will give you a 50% refund. Thank you very much I said. She was very abrupt with me. Because I wanted to change rooms. Awful customer service. The room was only worth half of what the total cost was. Room poor very small tiny attic window very hot. Needs decorating. Old fashioned sash cord window that was rotten fitted in the roof space. Curtains hanging off. Fire alarm goes off At 3am told by night porter someone messing around with fire alarm. No appology given. Seen people leaving after fire going off as said they weren’t staying in an attic room if there was a potential fire as we would be dead as no way of escape. How it passed fire regulations I don’t know. On booking out left at 7am as didn’t sleep all night after the commotion of the fire alarm. man on reception just said name!! very abrupt didn’t say good morning or anything handed room card back and left, awful place don’t go there if your disabled or have difficulty with stairs. Also you might end up in the roof in the servant quarters!!! Over priced not worth the money. Hotel manager needs to be sacked as place is a joke. For a large hotel chain with so called high standards it’s awful.

Pros: Food steak was tasty.
Cons: Cleanliness was not good.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. It was an awful experience. It’s a dirty shabby hotel run by young, mostly clueless inexperienced staff. One lady stood out who manages the breakfast and was lovely and helpful.
Cons: It’s a tired dated mess. The hallways were dirty. Our bedroom had a torn balance and tatty pillows. Three days on the trot we were left one bath and hand towel. The noise on the Saturday July 27 from a music festival across the road was off the scale loud for 12 hours. A booming nightmare horror story. The hotel made no effort to explain what was going on or how long it lasted. Ie from 1pm to 11pm non stop with sound checks beginning at 11am. Plus the hotel also had two events occurring internally.

Pros: Location

Cons: The shower was freezing cold and the water just did not warm up at all. The first last on reception was hostile. The second lady said she would book us a taxi but when we went to get it at 3.45am (to Manchester airport for our flight!) it turned out she hadn’t - the taxi she ordered for the guy she started serving whilst she still should have been serving my partner got his funnily enough. Thank god for Uber. Will be advising friends and family to avoid.
