Pros: Due to a problem with the hotel reservation system I was offered an upgrade and transferred to the 4* sister hotel H+ Widukind. The hotel is centrally located just a few minutes walk from the station and close to the historical old town. My room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and extremely clean. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I was sorry that I was only there for one night!

Pros: When we arrived here, we thought we were in the wrong place. It's in the middle of farmland, but not in a particularly pretty area. It takes about 10 minutes or more to drive into the town of Stade. This place badly needs updating. Our room was upstairs, and it was hot when we visiited. Our room was stuffy. The place provides the basics--a bed, shower and breakfast, but don't expect anything quaint or super cozy.

Pros: Second time here at this fine family run hotel right smack in the center of Stade. Who could ask for more? Well, this time it might be better weather... rain all the time. So perfect with everything just around the corner: museum, bars, restaurants, shops.

Pros: Great little hotel, right the historic center of town. Convenient location for tourists. Check in folks were great, and very helpful. Excellent German breakfast, but also had seafood additions. I will stay here again the next time I am here.

Pros: The Staff is amazing! I got the feeling I was at home from the moment I got inside the place. The receptionist/do-all-things-man is very funny and very helpful, the ladies that clean the room are very friendly too. Not to mention the incredible backyard they have with a forest feeling, you feel like you have a mansion for yourself.

Cons: WiFi is limited to 2GB, for everything else besides video is enough, but with videos, it goes fast. But I'm sure the incredible staff would help you with that.

Pros: The accomodation was a little basic but clean and tidy and the staff were quite friendly.One member of staff went out of his way to help us on several occasions which was really appreciated.

Cons: Other guests making quite a bit of noise early in the morning and late at night.However that's not really the hotels fault.It might be helpful just having a little sign up to ask guests to be thoughtful when coming in late at night or early in the morning.

Pros: Hotel Cafe-Kempe was a good stop over on a drive through Germany to Denmark. It would also be a good place to stay when visiting Hamburg with the U-bahn close by and convenient for the airport. Hotel staff are happy to suggest places to eat and shop for food.

Pros: If you go by car it’s easy to find parking right outside. The room was acceptable. It wasn’t fantastic but it was okay. The breakfast was also good. Again not the best but not bad at all.

Cons: Of course the location isn’t ideal since it’s quiet far away from the city center and there aren’t lots of restaurants or shops around. If you go by car it’s not to big of a problem. It was very confusing finding the entrance since it’s together with another hotel.

Pros: The hotel was small and comfortable, the porter spoke both English and German and was very helpful and friendly. Even proudly told me he knows how Ukraine is called. There is a very nice restaurant with Mediterranean food nearby. Two U-Bahn stations in the vicinity, bus stops nearby as well. Rewe, Lidl near as well. 15 minutes by taxi to the airport, 30 minutes by metro to the Hamburg center. Everything great!

Pros: The rooms are super clean and freshly painted, everything is spic and span. The beds are comfortable. WiFi is free and we fine. There is a BEAUTIFUL and very romantic garden with water and birds and all kinds of different plants and trees. The staff is very friendly and helpful and parking is easy and free. Love this place...it is obviously cared for with a good eye for detail and it is GREAT value for money. I warmly recommend it!

Cons: It is a little unclear where to check in. The hotel is connected with another hotel next door. You can't just walk in to a reception but have to ring outside and wait for them to open. There are some stairs to climb up to the rooms.

Pros: Nice small hotel at the northern part of Hamburg. There is a nearby u-bahn station but also free parking available for 5-6 cars. Check-in was flawless. Even though nobody was at the reception at the time of our arrival, we simply called the responsible person and got the instructions on check-in. Our room was for 4 people. The room and the bathroom were clean. The breakfast was decent and had plenty of choices. WiFi was free and working fine within the room.

Cons: The room was located in the underground floor however there was still access to the backyard and have plenty of light in the room. The hotel is located in a quiet and nice neighborhood, but a bit far away from Hamburg city center.

We were given the internet password with great difficulty, even if they say that the WiFi is included at the price. There was no access to the internet after 23:00! The staff doesn’t talk any English!

From 7:00 AM on, noise from heavy machinery from a business operating on the ground floor of the hotel. My room was supposed to have a queen bed but had a single. Cons: We had a family room reserved and got a dark, super warm double room. I asked for a change and we got a double room with a folding bed, room was better, the folding bed was a disaster, super uncomfortable. I had a confirmed late check out at 14:00 and from 11:30 on I had door knocking every 20 minutes, respectless. the highway is under construction so it's 45 minutes from Hamburg, too far! Splotches on the carpet.

Cons: Barely any lights in the room. Shower cabin with curtain (!) and no lights either. Way too expensive for what you get.

Pros: I liked the hotel itself, it is pretty and thou in pictures looks much better still is a nice little hotel. loved the room big balcony windows and the soft beds and extra large down pillows.

Cons: I did not like that they avoided the information about parking in the hotel was a basement parking with only 2 meter height car allowance and 7 EUR fee per night. The free parking is OUTSIDE the hotel and even thou it looked safe it is not a secure parking place by any means. The other thing I did not like is that (not my case)if the guest forget his/her shampoo etc you dont have them available on the bathroom , you have to call reception to ask for toilettries. And last thing is the carpet, I had a puppy with me (my pet) but I was careful enough to have him on dippers which was a great idea because he kept smelling other pets smells on the carpet and trying to pee or poo in those spots, so in the bedroom where pets are allowed I think harwood or stone floors that can be washed are not only clean but healthier for all guests and pets.

Pros: Excellent location: 5-10 minutes walking to U1 station Ochsenzoll, close to Airport if somebody comes via plane and in very quiet area, full of gardens. The apartment is ideal for 3 people, because it has two small sleeping rooms with 3 single beds, 2 additional people have to sleep on a sofa in the main room. Nice balcony. Parking place. Kitchen is equipped with all necessary devices. Clean. Excellent contact, in English. W firmie pracują też osoby mówiące po polsku.

Cons: The rooms are quite small, so in case of 4-5 people it's a little tight. The kitchen table is lacking a dish drainer, so the kitchen desktop is a bit raddled. There was a problem with check-in, it was caused by the fact that the owner sent a detailed information very late, so the email was not received by me before I left my home. On the other hand the situation was handled perfectly on-site.

Pros: Location is great and safe. The property is cozy.

Cons: Check-in wasn’t the best experience. The property doesn’t have its own reception, thus I was supposed to get an e-mail with all the instructions before arrival, which I obviously didn’t. It took some time to figure out whonto call, where to find keys and how to open doors. More, it was a complete miscommunication with the property and booking app regarding the payment. To sum up, the place was nice, convenient and cozy, however the whole experience mentioned earlier left a negative first impression.

Cons: Noisy road, and of course the airport runway. Double glazing no use to keep noise out, as room far too hot with it closed (August). Get a rear room. Our non-smoking rooms still smelled of fug from their smoking past: change the carpets!

Pros: Check-in staff was really friendly and accommodating.

Cons: The main door gets locked at night and no key opens it. I left to go to the gas station across the street and got locked out of my room, with my handicap husband and 12-year old son inside. It was quite scary until I found a way for my son to open the garage door to let me in, 3 hours after panic. Apparently there are doors in the back that are not locked, but I wasn't aware of this and this was a pretty scary night to go snooping around trying to figure out a way in. I wish this had been clarified, and also, how dangerous to lock the main door and no guests have keys. When I called to complain about the evening, I got screamed at, told I was the stupidest guest in the 15 years of guests (I can't necessarily argue, I felt really stupid standing outside of my hotel with my son on the other side of the door crying because I couldn't get in) and he hung up on me. Really harsh accent to understand too. This hotel is fine if you are visiting a friend nearby, or someone at the hospital down the road – otherwise, it's too far from anything except a gas station.

Pros: The room was spacious, though outdated. Free parking was a bonus.

Cons: Hotel staff are not that helpful. Simple things like a kettle or hot water facility not available! Even though they say they offer breakfast.

Pros: Breakfast very basic with things running out quickly and had to remind the kitchen staff every few mins! Close to the bus stop but city centre and main shops around 10-15 mins bus ride away!

Cons: My 5yr old was sick in the dining hall at breakfast and we were rushing for work. The staff were extremely unhelpful and rude and gave us a pot of water with tissues and forced us to clean the carpet ourselves with other guests looking on! Extremely embarrassing for us, especially when the carpets were old and soiled in the first place. Hotel very old style, dark and dingy rooms with old carpets. No tea/coffee facility in the rooms. Communal flimsy fixed ironing facilities in the basement toilets!

Pros: It was a very cozy hotel with nice rooms and parking facilities. Breakfast was super, they even allowed us to eat in a seperate part of the restaurant because we were 7 people.

Cons: It was very hot in the room, and no air conditioning. Made it a very sleepless night if you are not used to the heat.

Pros: Close to shops which was convenient for supplies.

Cons: Shower was too small & the heater was on full blast all day, we had to leave the door open just to make it bearable.

Pros: Have stayed there a few times, staff are friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Convenience of location. It's not in Hamburg city but adjacent public transport made access easy. There's also a small shopping precinct next door with bakery, grocery and gift shops as well as a small bar.

Cons: Interior furnishings are dated, need modernising. Snack/drinks machine at reception has been out of order for months.
