10,0 Excellent
Pros: the location, the room, the surroundings and also the food
Cons: a bit isolated - need to be prepared in advance before reaching the property
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was thought of
Cons: Actually aside from the the road it was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place was the best place I have ever stayed at in Korea for a holiday break. I really was quiet, warm, comfortable and so relaxing. The hosts were excellent. We were able to barbeque by ourselves after they prepared all the food for us. It is remotely situated, about 20 minutes drive from Gyeongju, into the mountains (and in a national park), so it is the perfect get away from the busy city. It is an excellent place for families as well, as there are facilities to be able to cook for yourself. Our children could play outside, with lots of furry animals to keep them entertained! Another excellent quality was how clean it was upon our arrival. I was really surprised, the linen and bedding was freshly washed and smelled so good. The café is also one of the best deals of this pension, we were able to eat a delicious breakfast with a lit fire in the wooden cabin. Truly a five star experience!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner Mr Huang and his wife. He collected us from the bus station and also took us on a walking trip up a nearby mountain which was spectacular. Although a lovely location for walking it is a long way from the sites in Gyeongjui with no public transport.
Cons: Nothing
7,1 Good
Pros: The house is located far from everything in the middle of the nature and it’s cool but is better go there with car. I suggest you to bring food to cook so you can be more free to choiche
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is truly a gem. It is obvious this is more than just a business to the owners.
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice place, lovely room decoration
Cons: Not good location if you want to visit Gyeoungju. If you want to enjoy nature and relax, it's a good option
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is a little gem, I love this place, the room are beautifully decorated with different themes, nice scenery surrounding us. The cafe served own baked bread and it was excellent. Will be back again, if I visit Gyeonju.
Cons: I reached the premise a little late. Will make a better time arrangement if I come again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the clean environment of accommodation
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice Host, good localisation, toilets are outside.
Cons: futons are very thin, and rooms are small.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Quirky large rooms with everything you need. I think each of the rooms had a theme, ours was so large it had both a spa bath and sauna! Personally I think it would be better to just have the sauna available to guests but located outside of the room. Beds comfortable and clean, and massive bathroom! Very close to the bus station and easy access to the tombs.
Cons: Nothing accomodation was great, location wise it is surrounded by quite a few lounge/girly bars but this didn’t worry us as not out late at night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They are talking English, very clean room, all the facilities are available, really it was very nice experiment.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Someone spoke good English!
Cons: Not much.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, with a lot of comfort and a nice big bathtub. Very comfortable bed A short walk from the center
Cons: We asked if we could store our luggages there before the check in, they kept them in front of the reception, without any surveillance. Not the best service
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Price - quality
Cons: Airconditioning was a little bit loud and right above the bed (not ideal for in the night)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great and easy to navigate to all points of interest. It is located close to the Intercity bus terminal. The stay is good and lots of eateries around. We had a great stay and great breakfast!!
Cons: Nil
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, I got my room at 1pm although check-in is only at 3pm, great location (street with lots of restaurants, a few clubs, close to bus terminal), very cosy and large room, comfortable large bed, fridge, toilet and bath separated, modern looking hotel
Cons: Wifi not working (even after a restart of the router), no toilet paper in the room when I arrived, only very few bathing products, poor breakfast, no safe deposit in the room, complicated light system (light switch shines blue and is clearing up the room all night long)

8,8 Excellent
Pros: It has great location and beautiful surroundings
Cons: You pay for using swimming pool separately and it is very expensive for summer season.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Most of the restaurants were closed, despite advertisements on the hotel room TV.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff at check-in and guest service! Our family room was very spacious and offered enough room for a family of 4. Perefect place to see the Cherry Blossoms.
Cons: It is a little far from downtown and the sights. You have to use a taxi to go around. Breakfast was very busy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Kind staff, a family friendly swimming pool and comfortable beds. The hotel prepares breakfast for kids as well. Organized well for a family with kids.
Cons: Wating for check in and check out was not a pleasant experience...
5,4 Okay
Pros: nice view but nothing more
Cons: I have never been to a Hilton that makes you pay 23 pounds per person per day to use the swimming pool. That is disgusting. No where does it state on booking.com or Hilton website that you have to pay extra for the swimming pool. The room was expensive for what you got which is an average bedroom. No breakfast, below standard shower, uncomfortable pillows. We only went for 2 nights and even if we wanted to pay 46 pounds on the second day the pool was closed all day. No compensation nothing. I would never stay there again.
7,9 Good
Pros: Hilton quality with Asian service say it all. Hugely popular with families. Plenty of restaurants to chooz from. This is our third time here, and still loving the hilton, except at breakfast time
Cons: Breakfast time is like eating in the street, so so so crowded, although the variety of food is widely offered
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Deffenetly one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited.
5,5 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: 40 minutes waiting time for check-in + extra-costs for everything!
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: none
Cons: screaming from roller coaster nearby. poor poorly insulated room door and noisy corridor. terrible staff with ugly attitude picture of front desk manager
7,1 Good
Pros: comfort, breakfast, location
Cons: pricey
Bellus Rose Pension Hotel - Gyeongju - Building
4
8,5 Excellent (111 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Bellus Rose Pension Hotel in Gyeongju, you'll be next to a golf course, a 2-minute drive from Bomun Lake and 8 minutes from Blue One Water Park. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and express check-out. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge during limited hours, and free valet parking is available onsite.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom and bathroom were large, and clean. They had everything we needed for comfort without all the extra stuff that just gets in the way. The kichenette was small but had everything needed including utensils and an electric teapot. Pool and deck looked good but we were to busy to use. Mrs. Park and her husband were as nice as they could be. They also offered free rides to and from the bus or local train stations.
Cons: The Pension and restaurant complex was on the bus route so that was convenient however, the pensions were a ways up the hill. Mrs. Parks or her husband picked us up and delivered us down the hill every time we needed within minutes of our call but we hated having to disturb them all the time. They never acted like we were bothering them at all so I guess it shouldn't be a negative.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice owners. Big and comfortable rooms, with equipment for cooking. Swimming pool. We spent two days there and were very well treated. One of our sons hurt himself when playing and the owner brought him to the best hospitals for making a few stitches, spending several hours at night with me.
Cons: It is 10 min walk from a bus station that goes either to city center or to the other tourist site. The owners were extremely helpful to bring us to the bus station and even picked us up from the KTX station Singyeongju, which is outside of the city and 30 minutes away, for a smaller fee. The best option is to have a car. If you travel by bus, you have to wait for the buses sometimes 15-30min and bus drivers are not nice at all with tourists. The central city station tourist info helped us find a car.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent. A very family friendly place. Mrs. Park treats you like family. Great place. We will visit again. She also speaks English so communication was no problem.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The host are super nice. They make us feel like home, helping as much as they can to make our stay confortable. They help us with bus, pick us up at the station as many times as we asked for (even when we didn’t ask). The room was lovely, with a big terrace and confortable equipment (bed, small kitchen, etc.). The breakfast was good as well.
Cons: Nothing :)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We travel from Busan to Gyeongju by bus and the day before we receive an email from Ms Park, the owner of the Pension, asking at what time we would arrive because the transfer from the bus/train station to the Bellus rose was included. Once we were in the Pension, Ms Park explain us what we could do in the city and asked us to call her in case we had any troubles. I have to say that Ms Park is a very lovely person and made our visit to Gyeongju very delightfull.
Cons: The Pension is not in the center of the city but there is a bus that takes only 10 minutes to arrive. From the bus stop to the pension, it takes around 10 minutes walking. It was not really a problem for us. Actually, the Bellus Rose is in a national park and if you like nature, you will love this place.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Mrs Park is a wonderful host! She's the most friendly, kind and helpful host we have ever met, and we wouldn't be able to make it to the train station on time without her helping us by bringing our bags to the bus stop! The room is super cute and spacious, very warm and clean, and it has everything you'll need!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the guesthouse was friendly and welcoming. She went out of her way to be helpful, even picking us up from the bus stop. We travelled with our per dog and she was as welcomed as we were.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host and owner was very kind and wellcoming
Cons: It was difficult to find on MapsMe
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were extraordinary!
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice size room but rather expensive compared to another we stayed in in the area. Host was very friendly and helpful. They pick up from bus station for free if needed.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Near by the convenient stores
Cons: Water glass in the room are not clean Korean style mattress are not really comfortable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to bus terminal Nice staffs Clean and cozy room
4,6 Okay
Pros: comfortable bed, at least there was one person who spoke english in this hotel that advertises itself as "tourist".
Cons: breakfast was a disaster. bad quality food, cold food, bad service and depressing atmosphere. On top of that, breakfast only available till 09.10hrs. Lights in room switch on automatically at 8.00 hrs....time to get up? Room looks comfortable at first sight, but smell of cigarettes, despite all smoking penalties and warnings. All in all, I wonder is this a hotel or a prison? Upon check out nobody asked me about my stay and I very much doubt the reliability of the relatively high "booking.com score" the hotel eagerly advertises....
7,5 Good
Pros: The room was big and comfortable, it came with all the necessities. The staff were helpful. I must say the location was excellent, it was close the the terminal, and some sites.
Cons: The washroom seems a bit dirty. But it wasn't much, so I could ignore that.
7,5 Good
Pros: Does everything it claims to do. Nothing outstanding but a comfortable stay and a good choice for location. Bus stop right outside and express bus station round the corner
Cons: It wasn’t full and we arrived at 1pm the inability to check in seemed to be part of the rules rather than I’m sorry but your room isn’t ready yet. However they stored our bag and we happily hit the tourist trail. Plastic mattress protector ☹️
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and efficient staff. Excellent location.
Cons: It would be much appreciated if all the staff at the reception were more fluent in English.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location within walking distance of most sites I wanted to see. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Bottled water was appreciated. Overall, great stay!
7,9 Good
Pros: Good location, very close to and bus stops and bus terminal. staff was friendly and helpful. good price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: - perfect mix of (non)Asian breakfast - shower, I mean, HUGE shower! - location right next to the Express bus terminal
Cons: - shining from the light control panels during night
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Really great location next to bus station ( 5mins walk). Really lovely rooms and breakfast was good.

Cons: Traditional Korean room type was uncomfortable for us. Thin Futon on hard floor did not provide a relaxing night for us. More details in description would be helpful.

Cons: Breakfast was slides of toast with jam in the entrance lobby
7,1 Good
Pros: Large rooms. Coffee and bottled water for free. Clean. Close to main attractions.
Cons: A bit outdated and strange decorations. Not very responsive reception.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Great location
Cons: Was very difficult to sleep because every 20 minutes a very loud humming noise was coming from somewhere, maybe from a boiler or other electrical system, extremely annoying. Also no toilet roll and the sheets on the bed kept sliding off the duvet as they were not attached. Uncomfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing and felt very comfortable. Very clean and lovely spacious room. View of the royal tombs from the room, so stunning!
7,1 Good
Pros: The location is excellent! Just a 5 minute walk through the tombs to great cafes, restaurants, and shops. Check in and check out were very easy, and it was nice to not have to rush on our last morning, as the check out time is noon.
Cons: The room was dingy, and although the A/C made it too cold, if we turned it off for too long, the room became very stuffy. As a westerner, I prefer my bed be a little softer, and I really missed having a comfortable pillow.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is good, short walk to some of the historical sites and to the city tour bus stop... loads of places to eat out at walking distance.
7,5 Good
Pros: The bed was so unbelievably big. I've honestly never seen such a big bed in my life. Wow.

Pros: Kindly clean good location
Cons: Breakfast was not included
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were friendly but did not provide recommendations or solutions to room with no air-conditioning.
Cons: No air-conditioning in the room. Room stayed 30 degrees Celsius all night. Too hot to sleep comfortably. Walls were not sound proof and heard all noises through out the night. Lots of distraction and disturbing noises from outside near the hotel in the morning too. Very uncomfortable. More like 1 star rating than 3 stars.
6,7 Good
Pros: lake view is very beautiful
Cons: The front desk staff need pay more patience to the guest and know clearly what he wanted.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good standard, slept really well, nice views, a quite boring restaurant but with really good food. Karaoke in the hotel (!)

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Gyeongju Sarangbang Guesthouse in Gyeongju, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Bomun Lake and Blue One Water Park. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
6,7 Good
Pros: + location is very good, near by bus terminals + wifi worked well + the histess was kind ( but she didn't speak englush) + common kitchen where was possible to make breahfast (therd were i.g. eggs, toasts, coffee/tea available). + traditional korean style accommodation.
Cons: - the room was shabby and small. There was not enough shelfs or tables for goods and hooks for towels - water was icecold or boiled hot, it was difficult to get a shower.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, close to intercity bus terminal, tourist sights and grocery store.
7,1 Good
Cons: Low water pressure, no hot water No working wifi
5,8 Okay
Pros: Nice Korean style interior
Cons: Since it's traditional house, bit weak to prevent bugs. Also, I was in the room 2, and we can hear people in room3 clearly becuase there was internal door btw room2and3. It's cheap, but bit noisy
7,9 Good
Pros: Well, it is a traditional Korean house, so the level of comfort of the room can not be expected as in a regular hotel, not even a motel, you are going to sleep in the floor, and have a little room, but that is what the experience of sleeping in a place like that is about.
Cons: There is not an actual reception there, so a very nice person, would show up eventually and open the room for you at check in time. It is not very convenient if you expect to leave your bags before the check in, start visiting places, and check in later.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: - love the garden and the kids spent a lot of time outside - we love the attached bathroom and self service kitchen. The owner got us eggs and we loved having breakfast at the garden - we loved the ondol system (heated floor) and experience in the traditional hanok - amazing location near bus terminal and walking distance to sights
Cons: Nothing
8,3 Excellent

Cons: Mosquitoes
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Place with great location, nearby bus station, very cozy room. Host is kind woman, thanks for keeping our luggage! Sleeping on the floor, traditional bed and small pillow. Space enough for 4 people and that's the limit.

Cons: Really close to Bulguksa temple but not much else. I suppose i arrived off season, but i had trouble finding open restaurants. In fact, I walked around for like 20 minuts and only saw like 3 people.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: N/A
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super kind and nice. They checked me in early without extra payment. There's a small gym near the lobby. The room has all the necessary facilities. Instead of one big bath towel there are four small napkins, but they are very absorptive.
Cons: There's no curtain in shower, so you're essentially showering quite above the toilet which is getting wet, even if you put the lid down.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing
Cons: Hard mattress
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The property is clean, with sufficiently large rooms, and all the basic facilities (but no kettle - although there is a hot water dispenser on the floor and a free coffee machine in the lobby). The bathroom was very nice, and had a generous supply of shampoo and body wash (which is a consideration if you need to shower more than twice a day due to the high heat and humidity). Staff were very nice and helpful. Finally, the price was great - very much worth the money.
Cons: There is no sidewalk access to the property from the front - you have to walk along the road (this is a motel, after all). There is a pleasant path going to the back of the property, but it is not terribly well sign-posted, and is not suitable for those with reduced mobility or with luggage (you need to jump over a little stream and take some irregular stone steps). There is nowhere nearby to have an early breakfast - you need to walk for 15 minutes or so to the nearest place which opens before 9.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The facilities offerred.
Cons: please provide english speaker at any time. It is a little harder to communicate. Amenities like tea or coffee sachets were not available.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: good location
Cons: no breakfact
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good access to attractions and restaurants. Staffs were very kind and provided really good services.
Cons: Everything was perfect
6,7 Good
Pros: I stayed here as it was close to the conference centre, HICO. Room and toilet was clean and decent size but hotel is run down - carpets in corridors were old with large stains
Cons: No bath towels. Only hand towels were provided. WiFi was not the best. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room or in the hotel. No breakfast provided in the hotel. No wardrobe to put clothes, no safe. Just a few hangers and pegs for clothes. I wouldn’t stay here or recommend this hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Price, staff
Cons: Good value, nice stay
4,6 Okay
Pros: We liked the location. A lot of buses that connected you to different attractions was brilliant. The hotel staff let us drop off our luggage at the hotel after check out so we could sightsee.
Cons: When we arrived the first lady at the front desk was trying to argue with my friend regarding the price. She was asking why was it so cheap? We had the booking.com to prove I would be paying the Korean won equivalent of £25. She was not happy. This was really awkward as we never set the price. The air conditioner not powerful. I couldn’t sleep with the heat. We only had small towels that would only fit a baby. When we called for actual human size bath towels the guy at the front desk was arguing with my friend. They kind sent up 4 bath towels but only because my friend wouldn’t give up.

Cons: The hotel is in a need of remodeling. You can tell the hotel is very outdated, the room smells of an old hotel, and the walls are pretty thin.
9,5 Excellent

Pros: Location everything was close by. Room was nice
Cons: We saw a Staff member only ones. Breakfast was quite disappointing.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Free parking, easy check in / check out. The rest...ugh! (see below)
Cons: The breakfast room has a really nice view but is dirty, breakfast is made out of cheapest stuff - we skipped it. Rooms are REALLY small, no bed linen. Bath was ok but more thai quality. The hostel is REALLY hard to find by car and not really in walking distance of the main spots...overall an unpleasant stay.
5,5 Okay
Pros: They accepted my request of a bottom bunk bed and they let me check in late at night. Also extended the check-out time for one hour for free. Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable beds with its own power source, light and courtains. There is an elevator to all floors, a big kitchen and also other common rooms. You can leave your luggage during the day after you check out for free in a locker. In general it is a spacious and comfy place. Beautiful views!!!
Cons: I arrived at night after a long trip, I needed to take a shower, but the body wash bottle was empty. The next morning it was the same. I went to the front desk twice to ask someone to refill it, but no one was there. They sell shampoo and conditioner (in booking.com it says it is included in the price). In any case, I couldn't buy them because they only had conditioner and again no one was at the desk. Luckily, a lovely guest saw me there struggling and gave me her shampoo, so I finally managed to get a shower, but it wasn't a proper one. The heater was too high, I sweated all night (I tried to lower ir but it was locked). The shared bathroom of the kitchen was dirty. The worst was the "included breakfast" which was none. I went to the kitchen almost an hour before the closing time for breakfast, and the only thing I could eat was a slice of bread that someone left untouched on its plate and the leftovers of jam. There was no milk (only 4 boxes for the whole hotel). They should provide enough amount of food according to the number of guests they have per night.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The short walking distance to the train station and many convenience stores + a supermarket. The view from the roof terrace was very nice. The breakfast was decent if you came early enough.
Cons: The matress was extremely uncomfortable and hard. The bathroom was a bit dirty when we checked in. There were hairs on the toilet lid. Breakfast time was self-service from 8:00-9:00. They did not refill anything, so if you came around 8:15 nothing was left. We never saw anybody from the staff. There was always a sign saying "I will be back later.".
5,4 Okay
Pros: The lockers were good.
Cons: Poor value for money compared to other hotels in Korea. No bottled water in the rooms. Was disturbed by hotel staff late at night.
4,5 Okay
Pros: The location was fine.
Cons: There wasn't any staff at the front desk (we had to call to chek in). Breakfast was laughable (better bring your own). The whole hostel could be cleaned better. You needed to run the water for a long time first to be able to shower with hot water.
7,1 Good
Pros: So clean, free breakfast, free laundry!!
Cons: No real host although thats normal in Korea
7,5 Good
Pros: It was good for families
Cons: The breakfast area while had a good view didnt feel as clean.

3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Cigaret smell was so bad. It made us cough so bad. Especially one of us could not breath sometimes. Finally we had to ask the hotel to chage our room on different floor.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Near the central market (Gyeongju Joong Ang market) . Plenty of local food and restraunts open very early. Only 4000 won taxi ride to the museum.
Cons: Very run down motel in a run down part of town. Sound proofing is non existent. Can hear pedestrian on the road outside talking as they walk past the property. Woke up at 2am by people arguing outside on the road. Room had stale odor. Can feel the springs in the mattress. Very uncomfortable.
7,9 Good
Pros: I had a traditional floor bed instead of a giant bed and it was waaaay more comfortable. Its podunt, but the staff are really kind and helpful. On your map, look up Cafe Ohai (카페 오하이). I don't know the street names, but this area had a lot of nice restaurants and little stores.
Cons: We didn't hang around the hotel--not much night life in Gyeonju compared to bigger cities. So we did a lot of walking to get anywhere.
7,1 Good
Pros: Good bed, good location in downtown Gyeongju, staff persons with a solving-the-problem mindset, very reasonably priced, good wi-fi, TV with a wide range of channels
Cons: Room not that clean (mosquitoes), very light breakfast served in front of the reception
6,3 Good
Pros: Good location, wifi, television (easy to use with a lot of sports channels)
Cons: Breakfast, comfort of the bed, quite expensive for this standard
7,9 Good
Pros: Relatively large room and well set bathroom. Good bed. Convenient position to bus station
Cons: It is a love motel, that means nearly no reception and no usual services for tourist. Nothing wrong with that, but perhaps worth mentioning in the hotel presentation in the website.
7,4 Good
Pros: +++ Free portable WiFi hotspot (this is an amazing perk) + Free coffee + Free self-service laundry + Free bottled water and Korean juices + Friendly staff + Good location - several minutes walking from Express Bus Terminal
Cons: --- Sono Hotel is not a hotel - it is a motel - Beds were very thin - Staff spoke little to no English
5,4 Okay
Pros: The staff at the front desk were very helpful with all questions about Gyeongju and the transportation methods around the city. The hotel is fairly close to the intercity bus station and there were plenty of good restaurants within distance and an excellent food market that thrives at nighttime just a minute or so walk away.
Cons: The initial appearance of the hotel was shocking, as in the hallways always smelled overwhelming with smoke, the carpeting was heavily stained, and the elevator was very small and old. The room was quaint and had everything needed and the staff provided a complimentary toiletry bag upon check-in and are overall very helpful. However, if you take a taxi to return back to the hotel from any of the popular tourist destinations, be careful to state that the accomodation is 'Sono Motel,' NOT hotel. The 'show address in local language' feature provided by Booking was confusing to all of the taxi drivers we encountered and they assuredly corrected us by saying it is a motel and could not find a 'Sono Hotel' in their systems or to their recollection.
