The breakfast was a good experience. Small quantity but good. The iced mango tea was very good.
We did not like the old smell or the bugs in the bathroom. It was Very over priced.
Super location, right on the harbor, a few short blocks to the BC parliament building, the Royal BC Museum, the Empress hotel, Fisherman's Wharf. Lovely gardens in front of the Inn. Just across the street from the ferry to Port Angeles. The tea and breakfast was excellent in a beautiful setting. We had windows on two sides of the house so could get air circulating in the evening.
The breakfast had two set menus, which alternated by day, so became somewhat repetitive--delicious, but would have been too much the same after four days. (If the weather had been hot, the room could have been quite uncomfortable.)
Location is superb, walking distance to the Harbor and Downtown Victoria. Everything is closed by. Breakfast is yummy!
Parking spots are limited. You need to pay extra $17 for parking.
Quaint, centrally located, excellent concierge
Slow restaurant service, inadequate options at breakfast
The staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfast and tea was exceptional. Very quiet and close to everything.
Enjoy a unique Victorian experience. The historic Pendray Inn and Tea House was built as a private residence in the late 1890's. Today, it boasts a unique collection of 9 distinctive suites all with their own personality and charm. The interior of the mansion boasts beautiful original woodwork, stained glass windows and crystal chandeliers. The tea room, located on the first floor of the Mansion, offers traditional afternoon tea and is currently opened Wednesday through Sundays. The mansion occupies a prominent location on the edge of Victoria's Inner Harbour and is surrounded by elegantly landscaped gardens, wandering pathways and lovely fountains. In addition to the Pendray Inn and Tea House, two other historic buildings; the Middle House and the Judges House, add to the charm of the surrounding grounds. The Pendray Inn and Tea House offers authenticity, warmth and character. It ideally caters to those looking for a romantic getaway, couple's retreat, social or corporate guests. Please note that as the Pendray Inn is a heritage home, it does not offer wheelchair access or elevators. We are pleased to assist with your luggage handling day or night.
