7,0 Good
Pros: the restaurant with full view of a waterfall. The garden is nice. The food is good and reasonable.
Cons: We arrived after 10 pm after driving 4 hrs from Mexico City. An electrician was still fixing a plug in Rm 118 a twin room assigned to us . We could smell paint in the room. My friend is allergic to dirt and needs fresh air. We asked for another room. The staff reassigned us Rm 505 and told us to wait 20 minutes as their staff tried to get it ready. My friend went to Rm 505 and discovered it was small and seemed to serve as a work station with dozen of dirty sheets lying all over. The air in the room was poor and smelly. We refused to take it. After further negotiations, the staff reassigned Rm 407 to us. We did not move to the room till sometime after 11pm.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The price versus the value you get is disconnected. Very expensive for what you get.
7,0 Good
Pros: The view of the waterfall, the walk along the river, the terrace. Safe parking.
Cons: No mirrors in the chalet apart from a small one in bathroom. No coffee or tea making facilities unless specially requested. Firewood was an extra charge so there was no heating included in the room fee.
7,1 Good
Cons: Restaurant food was really bad and since it was off season most of the hotel services were closed.
5,0 Okay
Pros: There is not much we liked in this hotel except for the receptionists and the guy who showed us the room, helped us find a quieter one and helped with the luggage. The bed is comfortable, and if your room is NOT by the main road, and NOT by the waterfall, then it's very quiet.
Cons: Hotel is described as luxury, and it is pricey. But all that was 50 years ago. Now it's just rundown, it smells of humidity, dirty in some areas, and the staff is mostly not very nice. 1- The description on booking says there is a sauna. There is not. There is a steam bath, but for a fee of 350$ for 15 min. And the lady who takes care of it makes a priority on her diner than offering something to her guests, so in the end we didn't even try it because she was just not even kind. 2- The description mentions there is a breakfast included, and there is, but if you don't eat eggs, there will not be another option to offer you. The staff of the restaurant is the least friendly I have met in Mexico. Even when they bring the toasts for 2 people, they will bring 3 slices... 3- There is a bar but the TV is so loud you can't speak, and there wasn't anyone behind the bar to propose drinks for the time we stayed. We asked in reception, they said someone would come, no one ever did. 4- All the windows of lobby and restaurant are disgusting, you barely see the waterfall. 5- The swimming pool area is disgusting. There is not indoor shower - just an outdoor one but now in November it was 6 degrees outside so everyone was going to the pool without a shower. The area is totally rundown, with mold everywhere 6- The room is awfully cold because nothing has insulation and if you want a woodfire to warm it up... it will be for a fee. Which when you already pay 150€ for a sunday night with 6 degrees outside, is just ridiculous. 7- The rooms have no ventilation. They smell of humidity and mold. They are old and cold and humid. The lighting is horrible, it feels like a 10$ room out of the middle of nowhere. This hotel is not worth more than 40€ a night and you pay 3 times this price. There are many much better options in Valle and Avandaro. Shame on the management of this hotel that seems to have forgotten how to take care of clients.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great place! We had a wonderful weekend with the family
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location on the waterfall is excellent. The suites and casitas are well located to enjoy the sound of the waterfall. The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having a wood fire in the fireplace in our room.
Cons: For the price, the maintenance and attention to detail was lacking. For example, the settee in the living room of the suite was stained and had a hole from cigarette burns. At breakfast, the waiter's uniform was stained. One of the place mats was sticky with jelly from the last guest. My selection from the dinner menu was reasonably good, but the breakfast was mediocre at best. Most importantly, from a safety perspective, the door to the terrace locks automatically upon partly closing the door from the outside, trapping the guest on the terrace. If there is no one else in the suite, the guest would have to yell for help to escape. This safety issue should be remedied immediately.
6,3 Good
Pros: It’s right in front of a waterfall which is very nice! Comfortable beds and linens. Everything clean. Congratulations to José Guadalupe (a guy that works the night shift at the front desk) he was very helpful.
Cons: The ladies at the front desk were not helpful at all. And the service at the restaurant was just terrible. It was empty and took them for hours to take the order and the same to bring the food.

Pros: El Santuario es the perfect location for a relaxing weekend outside Mexico City as a couple or with kids. The views from the room in the morning are just stunning, service very nice and eager to help, and the pool area perfect for adults and children. Second time at the hotel with my wife and kid and will be coming back.
Cons: The room doesn’t have air conditioning so you need to leave the window open at night to avoid the extra heat coming from the pool in the room!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool inside the room, nice staff, nice view
Cons: Be careful with the bedroom just below the road, very noisy. We change after one night and it was perfect
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located right next to the lake with a beautiful view of the city of Valle de Bravo. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff is really helpful, and they make you fell like a king or a queen. The food was really good, at the hotel restaurant. Really great hotel, and I highly recommend it, if you are looking for some rexaltion.
Cons: The hotel is like 10 minutes center of Valle de Bravo, so you need to go in car or by taxi if you want to visit the city. The hotel is 100% safe, but the area around the hotel looks a bit sketchy.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the rooms and the restaurant and swimming pool is beautiful. We loved the organic design of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Unfortunately, the sound isolation of the rooms is non-existent and we could hear all the tvs, conversations and activities of our neighbors.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The spa is excellent and also the view from the rooms
Cons: The food is expensive

4,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast and dinner were excellent. Mariano was excellent He help to make arrangements for a private tour and trouble shot problems
Cons: The toilet did not flush in the first room we were in. After two attempts at fixing it was still not working properly. We asked for a room change which they readily did. The second room had warm water in the shower not hot. The sink stopper was not connected so when it was filled we could not release the water. Again we called and they responded. The stopper was never comes Ted to the lever. There were definite communication difficulties. The only one to speak English was Mariano. When we asked the reception for the nearest gas station she put the address into Waze and we ended up in the middle in nowhere with no gas station. 6,0 Good
Pros: Nice decoration, good room size, fireplace in the room. Parking provided.
Cons: Very noisy! Due to building characteristics you can hear literally everything from the upstairs guest room. Unfortunately upstairs are the family rooms with bunk beds. Water pressure was very low - the shower therefore barely deserves the name. Service is ok, but staff is at their limits. I. e. Milk was out at breakfast, but no-one cared to buy some at the shop next door. Needed to ask 3 times.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Food and Prices - Great Service and friendly staff - Very good location - easy access with private parking space. Very typical room - large - well equipped and clean.
Cons: Maybe a little bit noisy during weekday - heavy traffic due to lot of Bikes/ Quads in Valle - but Hotel do the maximum. It will be great to be able to charge F&B consumption on Hotel room accounts - and have Sky in English version.
7,9 Good
Pros: Everyone was very pleasant. Food was good.
Cons: Internet very weak. Toilet needed careful attention to properly flush. Hotel needs to update its DVD collection.

Pros: Rooms are clean and comfortable. It's pretty quiet and relaxing ambient.
Cons: The parking lot definitely needs lots of attention, without having to mention that if you have a full size truck wont fit. Hot water only last like the first minute that you're in the shower. After that it starts getting cold.

4,6 Okay
Pros: Location View
Cons: There were termites on te roof and all the residues fell onmy head at night When we got to our room it smelled terrible and it turned out that the bathroom was unbelievably dirty. It didn’t even had water running in the WC so the dirt was dry and awfully smelly. The remote control didn’t work, and when I called the general manager for assistance he apologized and offered us an american breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. Not pleased at all

5,4 Okay
Cons: The price, its too small for the money
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel has very nice view. Also the territory of the hotel is very green. The room was cozy, we had almost our private garden near our room.
Cons: However the hotel was almost empty, we were still charged with quiet high price. Also reception often was not answering our calls. No breakfast available during workdays. We were charged for shower gel, which is quiet unusual for such hotels. The locations is 40 min by foot from the city center, which is ok, but not perfect.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing too over priced
Cons: Rooms are cold and you are force to buy fire logs in order to maintain the room warm.
