Waited 30 mins to get checked in which is ridiculous. Also had two enterprise locations with similar names which was confusing and i went to the wrong one.

I appreciated the quick service and the vehicle was not falling apart like I have experienced with other agencies every now and again. The part I wish to resolve is the pre-pay on fuel. I was not advised that I would be charged for a full tank no matter what it was returned at. My understanding was I would be charged the gallons I used. I only used 1/4 of the tank so a full tank charge has left me a sour taste in my mouth. The representative knew I only had it for 1 day so that should have been something they advised and double checked on the consumer’s understanding of the policy. Albeit Enterprise is the leader of the rental industry, it’s the little things like this that can drive a customer away. I hope Enterprise steps up and resolves this matter.

Pros:

I liked nothin about it. Staff not helpful. Long line. At front of line, I was told that my noon reservation was for a location 1/4 mile from the airport ( though it at an address called “airport road” and that that location was closed at the time of my pickup so I couldn’t pick go to pick it up). Who Allows a car rental reservation at a closed location? Then when they said they might have a car for me anyway, even though they weren’t giving cars to “walk ins”, I could not rent it with a debit card, even though they had a large sign that said to Rent with a debit card, you needed a return plane ticket. I had that and showed it. They didn’t care. Then I said- could you please hold that car until I ubered to my hotel And back and picked up a different credit card. They said no. I didn’t want to risk that car not being available. So I found a better car rental agency.(Avis) And will never rent from Enterprise again.

Cons:

Literally everything could’ve been better. See above. I commit to never using Enterprise again - even if it’s The least expensive or only agency with available cars. There were twenty people in line, one woman at the counter and a man flitting around with car keys in his hand and not interacting with customers and no apology from anyone foe the long line. Not a well run operation at all.

I had changed my reservation April 2nd. Cars were now half the price. They told me my reservation was now confirmed for a mid size car. $448 us. Arrived in Palm Springs, they new nothing of it, regardless of my confirmation. Ended up with the original vehicle. They have now charged me $950 us. I have a complaint in. Never again.

Vehicle had a bad battery and had to be boosted and returned and then I was charged extra for exchanging it. They could not have done worse if they tried.

The agent at pick up said that Kyak did not include the tax in the price and so in fact I didn’t get the best deal as it stated when I booked. So I had to pay an Extra $24 usd. That was disappointing. I won’t use Kyak again.

Took a long time to check in despite filling out all the material beforehand Car was an EV and there was nowhere to charge that wasn't broken or being used Because I couldn't recharge the car, I was charged a ridiculous amount No acknowledgement of the problem when I returned the car - guy just shrugs

Full-size SUV

Heather at the counter was friendly. But we reserved a Nissan pathfinder or similar full size suv described as 7 passenger 4 bags. I screenshotted the Kayak description. A pathfinder is 165 cu. Ft. They only offered us a little Kia Sorento that yes has 7 passenger but with 3rd row up there’s only room for 1 bag. Sorento is only 120cu. Ft. Huge difference. We had 6 people and 2 bags and 2 backpacks we couldn’t fit in it. The only option we were given was to pay an additional $200 a day to get a suburban. That was a huge expense we weren’t expecting so we had to cut some things out of our vacation. I will never do business with Kayak or Dollar again. I’m traveling this week for work and using expedia and enterprise zero issues and even was offered an upgrade at no charge if I’d like. I travel a lot and am disappointed in both Kayak and Dollar they started our vacation off on the wrong foot. Dollar blames Kayak for bad descriptions.

We did not get the car we asked for--the alternative was too small for our needs. And, I felt ripped off by all the extra fees, etc. Based on the "advertised" Kayak price, we should have paid much less buying making an advance deposit. The fees drove up the total significantly. Net, most likely will not use a third party again for car rental.

The process was pretty smooth and quick.

Cons:

They didn’t have the type of car we reserved (suv) and gave us a 4 door chevy. It fit us fine but wasn’t the size we’d reserved. Also, the car had a big dent and scratch along the back side which looked a little crappy driving it around Palm Springs.
