Cons: Pick-up was scheduled for 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve. We arrived at the downtown Tampa facility at around 3:50 due to a flight delay only to find the office closed, with s note on the door that it would reopen on 12/26. Fortunately, we were staying with family on 12/24 and 12/25 so didn’t need the car. However, when I showed up at 8 a.m. on 12/26 to pick up the car for a trip to Fort Myers, I was told that there were no cars available at any Alamo facility in the Tampa metro area. The manager snd staff made no efforts to help, Fortunately, I was able to find a car at Hertz, albeit at 2.5x the rate I’d reserved at Alamo. Terrible experience.

Pros: Drop off was easy.Cons: The little economy car I received was uncomfortable. But the biggest complaint I have is that it was booked at the wrong location. I asked for airport pickup. They did find me a car, but charged me almost double. Very unhappy.

Pros: The staff was difficult at the airport, we had to pickup are car at a different location(On Nebraska) and to get a Uber to that location. Once we got there.....The young lady was very helpful. Was concerned on drop off because we originally was to have a car from the airport but the young lady state we could drop off the car at 3909 hillsborough ave. Which was ok but we still were inconvenienced on a expense of getting a Uber.Cons: Making sure that you have enough vehicles to rent to customers. All three locations next to enterprises did not have cars to rent to customers. Customers were pissed off and being turned away without any assistances.

Cons: Enterprise accepted my reservation for a Sunday return to a location that is not open on Sundays. I walked to the Dropbox to find that “due to security issues” they do not accept drop offs after hours and if you drop the keys, you are liable for anything that happens to the vehicle. My flight out was before they opened on Monday. I spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to find someone who could tell me what to do and ultimately, no one had an answer for me. National chain submitted a ticket with the branch I was using in HOPES that they wouldn’t charge me if I returned the car to the airport the next day. Apparently the national brand has no way of contacting branch managers in instances like this and they also don’t have authority to waive fees on behalf of stores using their name. The entire experience was extremely inconvenient. Luckily I didn’t miss a flight because of it but as a young female renting a car alone, I did NOT appreciate sitting in a car in a bad part of town (bad enough for them to blame no drop offs on security issues) for 90 minutes. It has been 2 days since Sunday and I still have not received a call regarding my experience, though I’ve left multiple messages. I’ve had great experiences with Enterprise in the past but the lack of competence I experienced from the team this past weekend will cause me to take my business elsewhere going forward. I know mistakes happen but a large chain should have a much better internal communication system and plan for things like this. Very disappointing.

Pros: With some hesitation my issue was resolved.Cons: My rental car smelled of marijuana and after waiting for an hour I asked for a discount instead of waiting even longer for them to get another car in. After leaving and having the car closed up for an hour, the smell was unbearable. I was not comfortable driving my children around in that vehicle. After several phone calls, they were able to replace my vehicle. I was very disappointed that I lost almost a day of my vacation.

Pros: The car was nice enoughCons: The person who answered the phone when I asked to exchange did not explain clearly. It was very trying to get the right answer. He was trained to read verbatim but was not trainedto get the right answers to questions. Also the pickup was funbled. They gave me a car that wasn’t in the spot indicated. And after all that, you charged $100 extra an hour.

Pros: Avis had the best availability of cars in Florida. The drop-off was simple.Cons: The line to pick up my already reserved vehicle was almost an hour long. All I had to do was present my ID, choose my options & sign paperwork. Other car rental companies allow me to do this online.

Pros: Pick-up was a nightmare. Location: 4664 West Gandy Blvd. Suite 2, Tampa, FL 33611 This is a privately owned location and the proprietor IS running a racket. I was dropped off by a relative to pick up my vehicle. I observed the attendant telling the customers ahead of me that he was out of stock on the car they had booked and so they would have to upgrade to a different model vehicle. When it came to be my time, he tried the same thing, claiming he was out of the economy car that I had reserved online through the booking system. I told him I could not afford to upgrade, nor is it the customer's fault that he was out of the proper vehicles as he "claimed." I also saw a car outside that was the make and model which I was supposed to get, so he was obviously withholding. I called AVIS. They said I could try elsewhere and they'd reimburse me if the charge was less. I booked through Enterprise just in case. Little did I know Enterprise was a quarter of the mile down the road. The attendant at AVIS should have had the courtesy to tell me. Stranded, I waited. The attendant took his time with other customers. I WAITED 2.5 HOURS for him to give me the vehicle that was sitting in the front parking lot! I HAD TO ASK HIM WHO IT WAS FOR -- he said someone had prepaid and was supposed to pick it up before he closed at 2:00 p.m. It was a Saturday so he closed early. First of all, the customer who is present is always served, not some person who "might" show up. Also, I saw him scam a young couple who came in to pick up their reservation. He told them he was out of the car they had booked and they needed to upgrade! I nice additional 200 dollars or more. He should have comped the upgrade. The customer is NEVER penalized because the company runs out of cars (which was a lie). This service is terrible. Again, I witnessed the owner pull this scam on four different customers. He didn't want to give me the car because he knew I'd gotten a good deal and I was holding my ground. At one point he became condescending when I told him that I'd been waiting 2.5 hours and to wait on me instead of taking another customer. He ignored me! I then asked, "Why are you ignoring me?!" He then said, "You're the one who wouldn't upgrade!" I told him I shouldn't have to; that it wasn't ethical. I insisted I get the car that was waiting outside. He was not happy. He gave it to me completely dirty. It hadn't been vacuumed or sanitized. I took pictures. Send in a secret shopper to see what he is pulling. FYI: He loves to talk and comes across as friendly--it's an act! He needs to be reported because it is not fair to customers or AVIS/BUDGET.Cons: An honest owner.

Pros: Nothing, no customer service AT ALL!!!!!!!! It was wrong location pick up instead at the Tampa airport, the airport AVIS rep offer me the same car for the DOUBLE PRICE!!!! When I went to the pick up location, spend $40.00 on Uber, who is going to compensate my inconvenience?, the location was closed. When I called the next day, the service rep told me that car was not available and hang up the phone. Will NEVER use your service in the future and posted the same response on all the social media. Your service is horrible and the worth it could be.Cons: Provide the customer service and about customers.

Pros: I don’t even know where to begin , rude staff at checkout , smelly old best yo car . I found dents and damage all over when I told a rep he said that’s just west and tear , I had to argue with him to notate it , at the end he scribbled something on my paperwork and left him employee number . I took a video of the damage for my protection. Nobody there at the drop off , still have not received receipt , contract not closed ! Wait times yo to one hour on the phone for a rep . I will never book again with this company ever !

Pros: Drop off was fast, and easy.Cons: Pick-up was horrible. 3 staff members shared with Avis. 15 or more unmanned empty stations and a line of 20 - 30 deep at times. Even with a reservation we waited close to an hour in line. Once it was our turn it went pretty quickly, maybe 10 minutes.

Pros: The best part was the drop off. Smooth and fast and allowed us to get to our flight in plenty of time.Cons: I stood in line for an hour and a half to get the car. WOWZA. There has to be a better process. Then I was told by the woman who helped me at the desk that I would have a Nissan Ultima parked in M31 and when I got to the stall number it was a Kia. This was confusing and there was no one in site so I just took it and figured they'd call if it wasn't right. It was just a level of confusion that wasn't needed when she told me specifically to look for the Nissan. The price was better than most, but the headache of getting the car wasn't worth it. Then the woman at the counter made it seem like to do the fuel charge would cost the same per gallon but what they FAIL to tell you is although it does they charge you as if it's bone dry regardless of how much you show up with in your tank. I arrived with over 1/4 tank of fuel so that didn't equate to $2.99/gallon. I don't appreciate trickery. Be up front. Be integrous.

They say they need another 48 hours to find it. It was the first car in the first lane, it would have been hard to miss. To speak to anyone, you are on hold for an hour, so you better have plenty of time. I am amazed by the level of incompetence. Also, the registration sticker on the rental car license plate/tag expired! They do not seem to be very competent.

They told me to go and grab a malibu or fusion, but none were there. Ended up taking wondering around the garage for 20 minutes. Finally found an ultima since that was the only full size car left (I wasn’t sure I was doing the right thing). No one there to help me because I wasn’t sure if I was doing the right thing. Ultimately it comes down to lack of staffing. From start to finish it was 2.5 hours. Totally unacceptable.

Pros: This was the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental company. The associated who was to help us, didn't. He not only gave me information that was never shared ahead of time, but then when we pushed back he just said "Do you want the car or not". I have never been treated that way. We left and went to Alamo and received the best experience ever. We even were given a much cheaper price.Cons: Do not use Dollar. I observed them treating other customers the same way. One associate was even speaking to friends while trying to help another customer. Those customers just walked away. Such poor customer service.

Pros: Drop off was easy.Cons: There was one agent working on a Saturday afternoon so the line took 1.5hrs to get to the rental counter. Once we got to the counter, the agent told us where to pick up our car and that someone would meet us there. The area he directed us to for our car was empty, no cars. When we finally tracked down what we thought was a clean car and someone to us it was another 25 minutes. While leaving the garage we realized the car was not clean at all. There was trash on the floor, sand on the inside of the doors and pieces of food all over. The check out person didn’t seem to care. As we left the rental car center and proceeded to get on the highway the car started shaking severely at 45 mph. I called Dollar to let them know about the cleanliness and the shaking. The first agent I spoke to told me to fill out something online about the cleanliness that didn’t exist. She then transferred me to someone else. I waited another hour on hold to explain the shaking issue primarily so I wouldn’t be responsible for the damage. No one ever answered. Everything about this could have been better.

Cons: We had made a reservation before our trip to rent a car, when we waited at the rental car counter desk for half an hour, there were only two agents on staff while fifty people waited to get served. When our turn was called, we gave the clerk our confirmation information they said they had no record of our car rental information, that we had already paid in advance for the rental, we had to reapply and start from scratch to fill out forms, this took another half hour while others had to wait longer, then there was only one agent because the other agent took a break, by this time we just wanted to get our car and get on with our business. Bottom line, we paid twice for the rental. No excuse for this to happen, we will never use Dollar again. We made this reservation on March 9 2021 and paid $ 117.00. # J 6951858720. Pros: I was amazed how fast the line went at the Tampa airport facility. However, the line had about 250 people in it! That meant that they got people into about 100 cars in about 1 hr 45 min that we waited in line (after about 30 min upstairs to do the paperwork)Cons: The people upstairs could have been more forthright and given us more information about the line situation. We had no idea where to go, what line we were supposed to be in and finally asked our way to the end of the line that wrapped around and around. Nobody from Hertz upstairs explained the situation, or warned us what we were walking into. We are understanding that the problem was a surge in travel compounded by reduced inventory because of Covid, and my complaint is really about the car more than the service. We, after 2 hrs of waiting were offered the choice of a Silver Ford Fusion with a dented fender or a black Ford Fusion, which we took. All mechanicals functioned well, but the passenger seat was like sitting in a hole for my wife. The seat is too low, and visibility is limited for the passenger. I even tried looking up the car online to see if I was missing something, Obviously I wasn't going to get another car from the airport. The suggestions online were to put longer bolts under the seat with metal spacers. I didn't think that was a good choice on a rental. I even bought a cushion at Target to try to get her another inch, They don't make phone books anymore, so we just dealt with it for about 800 miles of driving in two weeks, but boy did I ever hear about it!. Please don't buy any more Fusions! I really liked the wipers that seemed to sense moisture and self adjusted through the rainstorms we had to negotiate.

It was mitsubishi outlander SPORT. Our Friends, who we travelled with were at other rental, they were upgraded because they didn’t have the car they reserved. I was not asking for upgrade I was asking for the car I paid for. Not happy. Decided to let it go and enjoy vacation. Do not recommend this particular location. Not sure about ace in general but will avoid them in the future. Never had this issue with other rentals.

Pros: Pick up at Tampa was easy and the staff were friendly.Cons: For starters, the “toll pass” that you pretty much have to pay for is robbery. It’s about $12 a day no matter how many tolls there are. One toll is typically around $2. Trust me, you’re not going on 6 a day! Oh, and if you don’t get the toll pass they can/WILL fine you $90 plus the costs of the tolls. Secondly, we went to drop off the car in Miami, not Tampa. The map didn’t say there was a location at the airport so we went to the closest one, only 7 minutes from there. I was terrified. We didn’t know if we were in the boondocks or the hood. Seemed like a rural, yet very dangerous neighborhood. Only one person working the whole property.

Pros: We thought we had a reservation for the evening when we arrived. We received an email that said if we didn’t pick the car up by noon we would lose it. We emailed customer service to see if they could assist us. The responses were short and stated reasons why it was our fault with no effort to help us with a rental.Cons: A reminder email to confirm our reservation and customer service that tried to go above and beyond vs the experience we had.

Pros: Nothing I was totally ripped off o got there and they said that because I wasn’t there by 12 noon my reservation was cancelled my car rental went from $246 to $611 and I was also told that there were tolls to where I was going I never went through a toll in all 6 days. The place was a SCAM!Cons: Maybe if your going to cancel someone’s reservation give them a phone call and also honor the original price I paid instead of nickel and dimming me.

Pros: Nothing.Cons: Don't attempt to reserve a car with this company online unless you will be picking it up during "business hours." This is NOT shown anywhere during the reservation process on Kayak, but you'll see it in the confirmation email you get after booking. My flight was arriving later at night when Executive Car Rental was already closed. I called ahead to see if I could make other arrangements to pick it up after hours and they said no. I asked if I could pick it up the next morning when they were open again and they refused, even when I said I would pay for the extra day of reservation when they were closed. I asked if I could modify my reservation to just pick the car up the next morning and they said they were "sold out." Basically, they wanted to rent the car I had already reserved to someone else at a much higher price (I saw the prices increase by $100-200 for the days I had already booked). Lousy company - book earlier with a bigger chain to avoid the hassle and stress.

Pros: The staff was great! I received a call the day of telling me how to find their rental slot once at the airport (which was a little confusing if you've never been there) and so was helpful. They were very pleasant and did everything possible to help us in the transaction.Cons: We purchased our auto insurance through Kayak only to be told a the counter that they did not accept their insurance and had to use theirs. Theirs was more expensive and then we had to call and cancel the insurance we had previously purchased.

Pros: The gentleman at the Executive counter was very helpful and patient. He also was willing to listen to my concerns. He also gave us an upgrade. Great price!Cons: We booked the car through Priceline. We received a great deal for a compact car. Our flight got changed to a later time and we were going to pick up the car 2 hours later. The car rental home office told us they could not guarantee the car for two hours later and there might be a possibility we would have to re-book another car at a higher price when we arrived. I was willing to pay for the rental ahead of time and they said it could not be done. Very confusing and annoying.

Not a good experiencePros: NoneCons: In the website it is saying that you rent the car and drop it at the airport which is not true.We need to wait for a shuttle 30 min to take us to the place they have the car and there it took almost an hour till we finded a nice clean car.

Pros: Office Staff was friendly. Car was in good condition that I received.Cons: It's a long procedure to get the car. If there had been any kind of line it could've taken hours. Even in drop off. There's no need for a paper receipt if you're emailed it as well. The bus for the airport couldn't be bothered to wait for me to drop the keys. The guys who maintain cars and drive shuttle were not friendly. We seemed to be a bother.

Long wait. Way to far drop off and pick up. ReservPros: Car was ok. But lot of scratched outside. Had to document carefully myself so that don't get charged.Cons: Reservation got cancelled due took showing up little bit later than 2 hours. Long wait to get there car. Way far pick up and drop off location. Leaves adequate times for drop off.

Cons: The checking agent was rude and appeared very unhelpful. we waited for over 20 minutes because no one was at the office at 6 am. There was quite obvious damage to the car door which was not logged previously by the company- if we weren't thorough, we could have missed it in the dark and be liable.

Rip OffPros: The price was right going in. But renter beware! The will find a way to gouge you!Cons: I picked the car up at 3am in a poorly lit parking lot. Afterward u noticed some pre-existing damage on the car. After several 20 minute dropped calls u spoke with the manager Sam. He interrupted me as I was explaining the damage on the car. No problem! Just let them know when you return the car! Complete lie! I go to return the car. I explained the situation. The guys first response: Sam is not here! Fill out this accident report! When I told him I was going to write a poor review he just laughed! Eventually Sam came over and said I signed off on the car so therefore I was responsible! I intend to pursue this through the media!

Pros: We cancelled it upon arrival. It was so confusing just getting to the rental car pick up. Then once we arrived we had to wait forever in a hot building where staff were milling about but no one was helping guests! it was going to take at least an hour and a 1/2 to get our car so we cancelled it and called an UberCons: Everything it was unacceptable

Pros: There was nothing like “liked.” Everything was either below standard or adequate, especially given the rates they charged.Cons: I never got a physical rental agreement. Which means if I would have been pulled over by law enforcement, for whatever reason, I’d have to had them my phone and unlock it for them since they emailed the agreement. Being on a trip it’s hard to print it out yourself. I also never received the final paperwork after having returned the car. Even though they said they would.

Cons: The car could have been cleaner. Since I only rented the car for 3 days, I declined the SunPass, but I should have been told that some of the toll plazas don’t have toll collectors. They did not email me a receipt like they said they would. I tried to call about it but no one is answering the phone.

Pros: Staff were nice, car was new & cleanCons: Pick-up is a nightmare, the location is 7mins away from the airport their shuttle took 40 minutes to arrive, I tried to call multiple times prior with no answer so we were left just hoping they’d show up. Nearly ended up getting an Uber or public transport just to try and get there quicker. Drop-off was quick but not sure if that’s because we happened to pull up just before shuttle left.

New rental company experiencePros: Picked up at the airport in one of the rental cars instead of a shuttle bus, and got to talk to the driver about the company and procedure while going from the airport to the rental location nearby. I hadn't done an all electronic type of rental before. They made it easy. Once you got the app loaded it was easy enough. Nice clean new Audi A4. Also a drop off at the airport, upon return, in the car that you had rented, so you don't have to move your bags or ride in a bus back to the airport. Very convenient to get dropped right at the curb by your airline departure location. Great experience. Helpful people from end to end. I'd use them again.Cons: Loading the app on my iphone was a bit of a pain. I couldn't get the pages on the app to scroll correctly so I could fill out the forms. I ultimately had to fill in the needed information to sign up via my laptop. Once I got through that it was easy. And with the app loaded I won't have to go through that again.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and the office was clean. They came out and helped me hook up my blue tooth when I asked. Very friendly.Cons: My car was dirty and smelled pretty bad from a smoker. They did give it a quick wash for me, but the smell lasted for my whole trip.

Cons: Car was supposed to be at airport in Tampa. Find out some how my reservation was for Tampa 5 miles away. Had to take a taxi from airport to car rental place 10 mins away. And wanted to charge us 160$ at airport when we booked for 40$. And this car is not in good running condition.

Also, the gas fee is overly expensive and I was charged $60 for a tank when the current gas prices would have allowed for a $40 fill up.

Mixed experiencePros: Loved the car I was rented. Newer model. Very clean.Cons: Phone number to National did not work so unable to stay in touch when I needed to talk to someone in the office. Car not ready when I arrived (person helping me went and cleaned it himself, so that was helpful), printer not working so no paperwork to take with me. I put in TPA for airport and was given an offsite location. I thought I was renting from airport and went there first. Big disruption to my plans. Ultimately my fault for not paying attention to the address, but also very confusing process that I was clear I wanted airport.
