Pros: The location was superb. There was no seaview but that did not matter because you could see the Piazza Duomo and the fine architecture. The location was excellent to easily walk around Ortigia and Syracuse. Ambience was brilliant and the evenings were great for walking around especially after having dinner in one of the many fantastic restaurants.

Pros: Good solid hotel, great location. This is an excellent four-star level hotel, great rooms, great service, incredible breakfast, in a perfect location next to the most incredible church in Siracusa, the only building which has continually served as a place of religious observation of one sort or the other for over three thousand years.
Cons: I did not dislike anything, in fact there is one feature of staying at this hotel which amazed me. Guests are allowed to make phone calls anywhere in the world gratis. This is wonderful. Also, another good thing: the staff were very accommodating regarding a few minor difficulties we had regarding my rental car and my need to extend my stay.

Pros: The location of the hotel was very good. The room was comfortable and quiet. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: On two occasions our bedroom wasn’t cleaned. After speaking to reception, it was cleaned on the second occasion. It was too late for anything to be done the first time, although we did get clean towels.

Pros: We loved the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel. Also the walk into town, about 25 minutes, was just what we wanted. We enjoy the exercise. The history in Syracuse is fantastic and was what drew us there. The restaurants in Ortigia were brilliant and the wine in Sicily was a very pleasant discovery. There was also live music in two locations both worth a visit. We didn’t eat at the hotel because of the choice of restaurants in town was excellent.

Pros: The hotel is an elegant, Art Deco-restored property and located in the historic old part of the city. The rooftop restaurant had been added to the structure and had great views of the city and port. Our room had a seating room above the bedroom, accessible by stairs. Taking the night train from Syracuse required us to purchase part of an additional day, and the staff worked to provide an even better room.

Cons: As usual in Italy, the breakfast coffee choices were really thick instant coffee or espresso/capuccino. And the toaster didn't really toast. The biggest problem with the room, however, was the paper-thin walls requiring us to overhear every word of the loud couple arguing next door. And we could sing along with their musical choices.

Pros: The room was very large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with all the trimmings. We took the dinner bed and breakfast option which was excellent value. The evening meal was three courses with more than we could eat. The dishes were local and very fresh. We could not fault the breakfast either. The only problem was the room was a bit hot even with the heating off. I think the locals feel the cold more than us Brits. Unfortunately when we opened the window we got the dreaded mozzies. A small problem with an otherwise excellent stay and very good value for money.

Breakfast good : fresh fruit, cold cuts, eggs, as well as the usual pastries. Coffee made to order. The hotel is on “mainland “ Siracusa, only a short walk from the bridges to Ortigia, and we found the restaurants in the area to be better in quality and value than those on the island.

Pros: The location is very good, close to the Ortigia and all monuments. Catania airport bus station is just 3 minutes te foot. The staffs of reception and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The room quite big and the bed super comfort. The wifi is very fast. I am sure will come back when I visit Siracusa again. It is already my 5th time visiting Sicily.

Cons: I couldn't get the aircon to work in the room. Despite reporting this to reception, the room remained too warm throughout our stay and the only way to cool it was to open the windows. But it was too noisy outside to sleep with the windows open. Also there is excessive use of disposibles. Water "glasses" both in the room and at breakfast were disposible plastic. As were most of the mugs for coffee/tea. There seemed to be a limited supply of washable crockery in a hotel that was barely occupied.

Pros: Breakfast was good, especially fresh orange juice and variety of ham. Personel was really friendly. Good value for money. Room was really big and nice (big bed, very high ceiling, nice colours). Hair dryer in the bathroom.
Cons: It was quite noisy on Saturday night, as it is located close to pubs. Noice is bearable and it is quite understandable on Saturday, so I would not treat that as a big minus.

Cons: The free parking area nearby sometimes was full. A little bit difficult to find a place.

Cons: There wasn’t enough space for a breakfast so we had to wait 30 minutes just to sit and eat! A lot of Rooms and only few tables. We had a spider in our room, it was really cold, there wasn’t hot water in the shower in the morning and in the evening there were problems with light
