Cons: Staff we not very helpful and at times rude. We were told of restaurants that offered gluten free menus and while we ended up at one they had next to nothing gluten free and the waitress was not at all aware and seemed to be put-off by our request.

Pros: I read mixed reviews online about others' experiences, but didn't let that hinder us from trying it out for our own. I'm glad we decided to stay with Mariott Fairfield! It was affordable, the staff was absolutely wonderful, and the rooms were beautiful. Extremely close to downtown, everything was within walking distance. Such a great experience!

Pros: Very friendly & helpful staff. Good coffee & Krispy Kreme doughnuts in lobby. Fun decor. Comfy beds with clean bedding. Recycling bin in room.
Cons: Thin walls- could hear street & neighbors. Too bright at night- needs darkening shades. Motion sensor in bathroom loud & annoying. Had to pay $7.50 a night to park in hotel's narrow parking spaces.

On top of that, they were discussing work drama while we were trying to check in- highly unprofessional. I might as well have not been standing there for all the attention they gave me.

Pros: The location is amazing and so close to downtown Savanah.
Cons: The staff could have been more attentive and compassionate to guests. When I checked in I immediately requested a late checkout and was informed of a 1PM checkout on the next day. When I entered my room I noticed the room was not thoroughly cleaned. When I picked up the phone to report the incident to guest services, I noticed a weird brown stain on the number keypad. I requested a new phone but was denied as they were sold out. I then requested a new phone and was told that housekeeping was off duty and that they'd try to locate a new phone. I never received a response or followup. On the next day, I received a rude phone call requesting when I planned to leave for checkout at 12:20PM. I informed the representative that I had a late checkout previously arranged the prior night. She replied that she had not received the message and apologized for "bothering" me. I was disappointed in the quality of care and cleanliness offered during my stay.

Cons: They list limited free parking. What it should say is no free parking. There is a handful of paces shared by multiple buildings...the hotel has three lots that you have to pay $12 a day to valet your car. It's ridiculous. If I'm paying to stay at your hotel I shouldn't have to pay extra or worry about parking.

Pros: Breakfast is terrific, the lobby is stunning.
Cons: The room had large dark stains on carpet. And the sofa was old and sat terribly. You could feel the springs. Room needs updating. Bathroom was wonderful. The shower was outstanding.

Pros: Our first anniversary started out very stressful and hectic, this being our first time in Savannah, and our trip being largely unplanned, but this hotel redeemed it, from the moment we walked in the stress melted away, our room was beutiful, bed was super Comfy, couldnt have asked for more from our rooms, and the hubby And i loved the happy hour "reception" at the dinning area. We only stayed one night so i didnt get alot of time to see any other amenities.
Cons: I only wish that house keeping knocked louder (i thought she was down the hall until she opened our door) and that the pillows hadnt been down (allergies) and i never thought to ask if they had others

Cons: The directv didn’t work in bedroom. Could turn the tv on but nothing else. After my trip was completed, I checked my credit card statement and noticed a $84 fee from Embassy. We stayed Thursday - Sunday. The charge came on the Monday after. I called and asked about the charge. I was informed this was for self parking. I was picked up and dropped off by a friend who lives in Savannah. The employee on the phone said “oh, when you checked in the hotel clerk marked you down for parking”. So be wary everybody, they don’t even need proof of you parking and will charge you!

Pros: The hotel was a short walk away from River Street. Hotel has the old world charm in keeping with Savannah. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Cons: Not ideal that the parking deck is a couple of blocks away from the hotel and costs $15 per day. I reserved a King room but we had to stay in a room with 2 Double beds because there were no kings available when we checked in.

Cons: Major cons that ruined my entire stay would include the infestation of Insects in my room (ants) on the floors and walls. The front desk associate who overcharged my card two more times after I had already booked and paid for my room online. And me not getting the type of room I requested when I booked and paid online. I will also like to include the poor parking unless you're paying for valet.

Cons: We had a terrible experience. The hotel is at the edge of a rough neighborhood. Valet parking is on the street where there is a LOT of rough looking foot traffic. Our toilet didn't work. The room smelled like a sweaty locker room. The furniture was old and battered. We stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Savannah last year for less money and it was 100% better.

Front desk couldn't provide a walking map when we arrived so we could determine restaurants within walking distance nor could she take time to assist. All ice machines on all floors were not working; must go to kitchen for ice. Housekeeping skipped our room the only one day we stayed over and, when we called front desk, instead of an initial apology, we were asked if we left the DND sign on door... we had not.

Cons: Check-in was an hour and a half late. Valet parking was forced unless you wanted to find a parking spot somewhere on the street and carry your luggage over. Someone from the valet team also stole expensive items from our vehicle and was eating some food we had in the center console. Very unprofessional and disappointing.
