Good location. Comfy hotel room. Staff very helpful and nice. Like the French deco throughout.
Location was absolutely the best! Close to everything walking distance and good public transport nearby. Day staff was very nice and helpful with good tips to get around.
The restaurant smelled damp and not very appealing. We didn’t try the dinner, but breakfast could be better for the value charged (we’ve stayed at hotels where breakfast is much better and included).
Location, cleanliness, frenchness
Room was very small
I choose this place because I love the uniqueness of boutique hotels. I was extremely satisfied with the comfort of the bed and the quaint decorations of this 1910 French style hotel. The staff were lovely and really had a heart to serve. I was allowed a later checkout which really helped me get some extra sleep since I'd be touring all day and had a flight out after midnight. I was also able to leave my luggage for free while out touring. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed for dinner on Sunday and Monday but I was able to enjoy a breakfast of the best French toast I've ever had in the lovely Jeanne D'Arc restaurant. The weather was perfect for me and I didn't miss this room not having any ac. I kept the windows open and the lovely cool breeze was all I needed. The toiletries were lovely as well and I enjoyed a nice bubble bath in the exceptionally clean bathroom. The location was excellent and I enjoyed exploring the neighbourhood and access to Union Square just minutes down the road. It was extremely easy to navigate to from the Powell St train station and I'd highly recommend hopping on the Tram to get to Bush Street since the last block is quite steep to pull a suitcase. I opted for the airport shuttle which picked up at the door of the hotel and was a nice comfortable ride for $17. Took the train from the airport for $9.95 but it was quite loud and underground most of the time. I prefer a view. It was nice to have affordable options.
The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday.
The location was perfect! The room was very clean. Staff was very nice.
Parking instructions should be included with booking. We could hear a lot of the street traffic.
