Ruhpolding hotels

Pros: We enjoyed everything, easy to drive to; outstanding staff, super clean, wonderful view off the balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Harold and his team are amazing, made us feel right at home.

Cons: Nothing we didn't like.

Pros: Tasty breakfast with large and excellent selection of dairy products, pastery, bread, oatmeal, juices .... Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good location, quiet, walking distance to the city center.

Cons: For tea lovers, the selection might be limited.

Pros: Our stay in the spacious and well decorated apartment was very comfortable. The breakfast was well organised and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Free parking, calm place, sufficient WiFi, good tougher bed (I prefer), good breakfast (from 7:30am !) Next time again!

Cons: Little bit longer check out which is on the next hotel (50 meters far in the same street). It was not serious problem, but took time. And only for information, restaurant is missing in hotel building. Within 5 minutes walking are good restaurants in centrum (“Janos” restaurant was good). Take on mind.

Cons: The lack of any staff out of regular business hours was a disappointment. We arrived very late and had to leave very early and as it was a trip to a tournament in the locality. We would leave by 8am most mornings and not return until 7/8pm in the evening The only contact we had with staff while there was the cooks at breakfast. Other than that the hotel was lovely and comfortable.

Cons: Just one note for future guests: we stayed at Hotel Steffl in early November, and discovered when we went out to eat in the evening that almost all of the restaurants in the village were closed until early/mid December.

Pros: Very spacious 'comfort' bedroom with sitting area plus 3 piece suite. Excellent breakfast each morning w ith an appetising selection of cold meats ,fruit and cheeses.

Pros: Beautiful little hotel ideally situated to explore Bavaria. Hotel is very clean and comfortable and quiet. Excellent breakfast with a large selection of food to chose from. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We would certainly stay here again.

Pros: The staff was exceedingly friendly and made me feel very welcome even as an American with very little knowledge of the German language. They went over the top to make sure I had an excellent stay. They made sure I knew about everything there was to do in the town of Rupholding. I felt that there really was no reason for me to even go anywhere else with all of the activities to do there.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!

Pros: I liked everything: Host very friendly and welcoming; the comfortably, spacious and very clean room and bathroom; rich breakfast, summer card including a lot of advantages. It was a surprise that we had a fully equipped kitchenette, this was not specified in the room description. All these things and the good weather that allowed us to admire the spectacular surroundings contributed to a perfect vacation.

Cons: I have nothing to criticize.

Pros: We were a party of 7 and we had the top floor suite plus one single room. The suite is huge with amazing views and it comfortably fits 6 people. Our host was great, the breakfast was superb. Shame we don't do skiing, the FREE pass you are getting from the host cost over €200 per person! We will definitely come back soon!

Pros: Very nice place, very nice patron. The room we booked for six has enough space for even 4 more kids. As guest to Ruhpolding, we also enjoyed a lot of treat and promotions around the town.

Pros: The location was fairly good & the place was clean. However, there were NO TOWELS in our bathroom !

Cons: The fact that the owner said we booked a family room & when he saw we didn’t have any kids was not willing to make an adjustment! We never used the 2nd tiny attached room. There were NO towels in our bathroom,! I emailed the owner so he could leave some in the morning as we told him we had to leave early & he didn’t bring or leave any towels for us. Also did not like the fact that breakfast was at 8am. Several people were waiting in the hall to get breakfast or even coffee. When the owner finally opened the door the small buffet was crowded & the juice & foods ran out. The internet did not work, which is the primary reason I book a place that advertises internet,,

Pros: The hosts were very friendly. We called them and said we will be late as the check-in closes by 8, and they made alternate arrangements so i get a room. Breakfast was good. All together a very comfortable stay.

Cons: My room was near to reception, view into the garden or yard instead of having a room at first floor with a beautiful view! Rooms available during my stay. Bathroom without natural ventilation. Poor WiFi.

Pros: Lovely host who is very warm and kind to Guests, we were in an apartment which was lovely and in excellent condition. Would very much recommend this accommodation.

Pros: Delicious breakfast! Large windows to open in our room to cool off at night. Fluffy down comforters and pillows.

Cons: Initial room placement was right by restaurant patio with little privacy. They moved us to a room upstairs, when we asked, and it was wonderful.

Pros: Village is lovely and the surroundings are something special. We were lucky to have three sunny days and the scenery is stunning absolute 'chocolate box' country just 10 minutes away from the motorway but a whole world away in every other respect. This property is an ideal base to explore and it's a 2 minute walk into the village where there are plenty of bars and restaurants or though nightlife only lasts until about 10. Owners are very friendly and the breakfast good. If you want to see Germany and Bavaria at its best try here!

Cons: Going home!

Pros: The small Bavarian town is just magic. With lots of traditional, painted buildings, nice restaurants (Chinese, Bavarian, Italian, Hungarian - to name the ones I saw), exquisitely tidy streets, beautiful scenery, it's just a place to enjoy for a couple of days, for teenagers and seniors alike. I'm sure that a young couple would find this place to be a really nice destination for a couple of days, let's say up to 5. :) At the property, the ambiance is pleasant, really clean, hosts are nice and eager to reply to your questions and also solve any problems you may have. They were also really open to explain what are the points of interest around the area and invite me to come over again and spend some time, since the weather wasn't particularly nice when I visited... :) Breakfast was excellent, coffee also good, and the lady offered to fix me some eggs to my taste. :)

Cons: I arrived on a Saturday afternoon at about 16:00 hours and I couldn't eat anything at the Pension. It wasn't such a big issue bcs there are lots of nice places to eat close by, 10 minutes' walk. Lots of specialty restaurants to choose from.

Pros: The apartment had good view and was comfortable.

Pros: The place was neat and it had a breathtaking view of Bavarian Alps. Breakfast was 5/5.

Pros: The place is absolutely nice. It's outside of Ruhpolding but it's well connected with the main road. I took it to be moreless near Berchtesgaden which was my final destination. It's moreless one hour by car, but it's great because the surroundings are great and the hotel is fantastic. You have also sauna and more wellness activities but I used it just to be my "basecamp". The breakfast was good and the people was nice. They have a restaurant and that is also great. The price was ok and the quality was good. Tha place is so relax. I recommend it.

Pros: We ked for a late check-in, the keys waited for us at reception, while the place was empty. They left us a form to sign and we only met the employees in the morning. It was easy and effective.

Pros: It is a nice, quiet place with good views. There are good breakfast options and the on-site restaurant is pretty decent as well. I had no problems finding a place to park my car.

Cons: WiFi signal level was poor in my room despite them having about 7-8 routers around the property. The connection kept interrupting pretty often and I had to manually re-connect and click the check box at the captive portal page about agreeing to the terms of service, which was annoying. Besides, each router has its own WiFi network name, so you never know, which one would work the best. My recommendation to the owners is to invest in a professional level WiFi equipment like Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LR which costs just a bit more than the consumer grade TP-Link APs they use now and switch to use one shared WiFi network name across all the routers.

Cons: No mini bar fridge Sofa beds really squeaky and loud when one turned over through the night.
