10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast - wonderful Bedroom - delightful and bed very comfy Location - lovely and peaceful Host - ever so friendly, helpful and accommodating Highly recommended
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying on a farm, including the cows mooing outside, and meeting the cats, dogs and horse. The breakfast arrangement, with everyone sitting around one big table, was great, it felt like a house party, with everyone chatting and laughing together. The best thing about Mallard Grange, though, is Maggie, the host, who made everyone feel so welcome and part of the family rather than a paying guest. Thanks to Maggie, we booked another stay next year, something we’ve never done before anywhere else.
Cons: The only slight issue was the shower - a notice in the room explained the weak water flow, and we understand the reasons, but it made having a shower quite hard work.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and comfy. Maggie the host was warm and friendly. Their own orange honey wonderful and I felt I had made a friend after my stay there. The breakfast was delicious too.
Cons: The approach road to the guest house and the typical Yorkshire winding narrow road from Ripon, when driving on unfamiliar roads at night.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet rural get away comfy friendly not to far from tourist areas walks affordable and felt relaxed
Cons: Weather ha ha
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfasts. Friendly people and comfortable beds. Excellent location for tge black sheep brewery.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Natalie was very friendly and made sure we had all that we needed. The breakfast was lovely, liked that i had a choice of vegetarian options. It was a great location to visit the Black Sheep Brewery and for lovely walks. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cons: The only thing that could have been better with the room is the shower, it had very low water pressure so was just a trickle of water when it was on, but other then that brilliant.
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast fine, good location within short walking distance of village square, pubs, restaurants.
Cons: Older style building with usual retro fit problems of space, especially the size of the shower cubicle, stairs (can be difficult with luggage). We stayed there in 2014 when it was owned and run by the previous owners who, I understand, have now retired and it has been taken over by Natalie. Whilst Natalie was very pleasant and obliging, she has a young school age child and her attention to guests sometimes appeared distracted. I did not see any other staff but that does not mean to say that there wasn't any in the kitchen somewhere.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was of exceptional quality and we had everything we needed in our room. Bank Villa is conveniently placed for Masham centre with readily available parking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Natalie was extremely helpful and accommodated our late check in due to weather and traffic. Breakfast was fantastic. Masham is lovely, I wish our stay was longer as there is so much to do and see around.
Cons: Nothing!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful surroundings, relaxed and calm atmosphere. Really enjoyed the experience.
Cons: Thought it was a bit cheeky to add an additional 5% tip to the final bill. I was happy to tip as staff were very good but I can make that decision for myself.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location staff all helpful, room great , you have trouble faulting this venue, been 3 times this year for short breaks ever time been excellent .
Cons: Only point shower in our room had no power to it
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff with a lovely welcome. Helped us so much throughout our stay. Superb location with a lovely walk all within the site. Amenities to keep you entertained too. The spa area was the best I have ever seen. We will be back in Summer to try the outdoor area more. Everything you could wish for.
Cons: Thought the hot breakfast would be cooked fresh from order but came out in minutes obviously kept hot so bacon was dry and over cooked. But so much else to choose from it didn’t disappoint too much. I would recommend You advise customers that the hot food comes quickly so they don’t order straight away and have the time to enjoy the varied fruit, yogurt and cereals as it came so quick. Was a bit over whelming. We knew the score for day 2 and felt much more relaxed.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The situation ,rooms clean and large , staff pleasant and helpful breakfast excellent. Been many times before never disappointed.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely walks in the grounds, beautiful building. Many rooms to sit in, we had it almost to ourselves. The bedroom was large and so comfortable. Breakfast lovely. Staff exceptional. Spa lovely. Nice for dog bed and chew provided.
Cons: Restaurant is a 2 minutes walk not on great ground for heels and not very warm. Spa staff kept clearing away towels hung up, this is a real waste, we had not finished with them, we were in the sauna and had to keep getting new ones. We had 3/4 new ones in an hour. The bar and pool room were shut at 11, they did open it for us, we were the only ones in but heating was lower.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The property is amazing
Cons: This was a gift bought for my daughter. She was married here and wanted to return for her anniversary. I bought her a voucher to have a meal and also an afternoon tea voucher. No one mentioned either at booking or when buying vouchers that the hotel closed today. They were unable to have afternoon tea but were allowed to use it against a meal. The restaurant where they should have had breakfast was closed so they had to have it where they had a meal the night before. Again they were told where breakfast would be but when they got there it was closed for a staff do. The hotel is amazing just think communication could be better. Would have chosen a different date. My daughter still enjoyed her gift.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great choice of beer and great food menu. Friendly staff and locals in the bar.
Cons: Pillows in room a bit hard but not really an issue
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was lovely and spacious and staff friendly and polite.
Cons: I didn't give any advance warning, but a vegan breakfast with soya milk for the coffee would have been good.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely view. Friendly staff.
Cons: The room was way too hot. We turned it down, but as it is under floor heating it was still too warm in the morning. Unfortunately because we were on the ground floor we couldn’t leave a window open all night. However this isn’t then properties fault, just something to be aware of.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the food was superb ambience nice and great staff
Cons: only the weather nothing too important
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Black Swan were really accommodating and attentive, especially with our early check in and late check out. It was very much appreciated. The staff and food were excellent. The staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The housekeeper was really kind and helpful and let us store our bikes in a secure and safe place. Rooms lovely and big, massive bed and tea and coffee making facilities. Beautiful location.
Cons: A dustpan and brush in the room would have been useful as no carpets so wooden floor did get a bit gritty and dusty.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Large room Comfortable bed
Cons: Curtains wouldn’t close Tables in restaurant dirty. Setting out breakfast whilst we were still eating dinner
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms themselves are situated inside a block behind the pub, so there wasn’t any noise from the pub (although busy, the pub was pretty quiet noise wise). The room we had was enormous, well kept and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. There was a lovely view out of the window, looking over the fields also. The evening meal we got was excellent, we opted for the steak and ale pie and homemade chips, although the menu itself had plenty of appetising options, and for the amount and quality was very reasonably priced, as were the drinks. I would advise booking in advance for a meal as they did seem to be busy as it was a small dining area, but we were seated slightly earlier than our booked time and promptly served. The bar had a large selection of local ales which was pleasant to see. The staff were all excellent, attentive and polite. We would definitely return here again.
Cons: There was nothing we disliked about our stay, although I would say the rooms could do with a full length mirror, an iron and a hair dryer...but this is personal preference... (and just because I forgot to take my own)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely cosy pub and bedroom

Pros: Everything it was fantastic.
Cons: Nothing to say
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the bedroom was decorated to a very high standard. it had been carefully though out and had nice period features.
Cons: The fire alarm at 2am. My bill from the previous nights dinner which I agreed at end of meal being wrong when I was charged for it the next morning. Luckily I had kept the slip but I was shocked that I had to produce this to resolve the issue. How can a computer just change the figure overnight?
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The member of staff called Alec went above and beyond his duty by collecting us from Swinton Hall after a family wedding when there were no taxis available and refused payment. I would recommend your hotel to everybody and we have, your staff were all warm and welcoming.
Cons: Tea and Coffee required organising better this is the only fault. It would be better served at each individual table as soon as you sit down in the dining room rather than everybody trying to self serve.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was bigger than expected and very tastefully decorated. Bathroom was also bigger with a bath and separate double shower. The staff were extremely helpful and even dropped us off at our destination as there were no taxis available and offered to pick us up later in the evening.....fantastic service. Breakfast had a very good selection and again the staff were very friendly and helpful. A definite stay again.

6,5 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel was ideal, and the gardens would have been a great asset in better weather.

Pros: the staff and the food, the staff was so friendly and informative, what ever we asked they could answer us, the food was all fresh, cooked while you waited, no tinned food all out of the garden, a good selection of food, breakfast was more like a dinner, you would never starve at this hotel
Cons: maybe a bit petty, the rooms where to hot, we think the hotel could do with a revamp, but that did not put us of,
