Pros: Our stay at cinque terre residences was very comfortable. It’s a bit of a hike to get up to but if you arrange for the luggage transfer on your arrival this is not a problem. The room was nice each has an individual terrace/seating area. The free minibar and complimentary welcome Prosecco was a nice touch. There is also a shared top terrace with great views across riomaggiore and a sizeable jacuzzi. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay.
Cons: Make sure you take insect repellent if sitting out on your terrace in the evening. Though they did provide an insect diffuser.

Pros: Very good location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cinqueterre Residence was a great location away from the main street of Riomaggiore. This property offered more privacy from the bustling main street which allowed us to to open up the doors/windows and enjoy the view of the valley. A private terrace offered a secluded feel to the location. The room, private terrace, and the separate courtyard seating with an ocean view were all spectacular! The staff was great, too - answering all our questions and helping to arrange taxis. A great location to set out and see all 5 villages in the Cinque Terre area.
Cons: Leaving. We didn't want to leave.

Pros: it is great please. it is next to the beach so the waves are good and bad it is little noisy at night.but it will be good in summer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Paolo is the best host ever-enthusiastic about Cinque Terre, helpful and caring. He provides all necessary information about places to go, restaurants, transportation, shops and events. The location could not be better- it is just wonderful. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. WiFi works well. I like the pet friendliness of this place.
Cons: I always hate leaving...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, so close to everything. Everyone there was very helpful and gave great recommendations for food and hiking. Definitely going to visit again.
Cons: There was a sliding door that you couldn't lock when you left and the only way to lock it when you were there would be easy for anyone to unlock from the outside. It made me uneasy and I locked the individual door to the room when I was there.
7,0 Good
Pros: The room had a wonderful view and provided the necessities for a good stay.
Cons: While the view is amazing, there is a a challenge to getting to that room. We received assistance with the baggage and climbing the numerous steps - just remember, to eat you have to continue to climb the steps. Well worth it, if you are able.

3
9,3 Excellent (499 reviews)
R1 763+
Overview Reviews
The L’Ancora is set in a characteristic, ancient building in the heart of Riomaggiore. This charming town is set along the Riviera and is part of the renowned Cinque Terre. L’Ancora features traditionally furnished guest rooms and a common area complete with a free distributor where you can enjoy coffee, tea and hot chocolate. This small and intimate establishment is located in the town’s historic centre. Riomaggiore is situated in a small valley and is known for its wine coming from the many surrounding vineyards. It is close to sea and has a small beach on the Gulf of Genoa. L’Ancora is a great base for those wishing to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Cinque Terre.

Pros: nice location on main street of riomagiorre. hotel staff was friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage there. clean room.
7,1 Good
Pros: The apartment was great! Very spacious and has a lovely terrace!
Cons: The Aircon was horrible - my room reached 28.1 degrees with the Aircon on. I would wake up in the night hot and bothered. I went to reception to mention this twice but no one was there to help.
6,3 Good
Pros: Proximity
Cons: Moving luggage up tight stairwell, charge of 10euros to get assistance
9,2 Excellent
Pros: No breakfast provided at L'Ancora, but coffee machine and snacks available at all times. Lovely roof terrace with views down over the village, facilities to be able to cook a light meal. Comfortable beds. Lovely character.
Cons: Small maintenance issues which need to be attended to. Quite high up in the village, and spiral staircases up to apartment - not a problem for us, but unsuitable for less mobile holidaymakers.
7,1 Good
Pros: Accommodation was clean and comfortable. A little issue with a leaking air conditioner so we were able to move to another room with a lovely terrace which was a nice touch.
Cons: This has nothing to do with the accommodation but more about the Cinque Terre in general. This is my 3rd time since 2011 and what a disappointment, SO crowded, so many tourists, so many selfies, the place has been over run by tourists in search of the perfect shot. Such a shame as it really was one of the most beautiful places to visit. Can’t really walk from Riomaggiore to Manarola anymore as the terrain has been spoilt. I’ll keep my Cinque memories as they were. No plans to ever go back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great; the room was clean and bathroom was modern. Communication from staff was good, too. I always felt safe here.
Cons: The air conditioning wasn’t powerful / cold enough.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very clean and the rooms have everything that you need for a short stay.
Cons: This isn’t really a negative but just to be aware that this is not a hotel but more of a guest house with rooms in a separate building to the main office and shared small kitchen. It was perfect for what I, as a solo traveler needed for a one night stay.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our host Romina went above and beyond to help us settle in and gather info on things do.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had a family room with two separate bedrooms. The rooms were HUGE (both floor space, and height) and it was nice to be able to spread out. They were also beautifully clean. Our host, Romina, asked what time we would be arriving and met us outside to help with our bags up to the room, which was a lovely gesture. She then ran us through all the INS and outs of the room, and provided some helpful advice and timetables regarding the Ferries and Trains.

6
9,0 Excellent (581 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Lia Rooms places you in the heart of La Spezia, steps from Gulf of La Spezia and Amadeo Lia Museum.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location could not be better, just off the city's main shopping street. The price I paid was incredibly good value for what was provided and the room gave me everything I required and more. The bed and bathroom were particularly good... as was the excellent bowl of free sweets in reception.
Cons: This would have been a superb stay if the room had better sound proofing. Like many others in Italy it is a former apartment divided up into private rooms, so you can hear more than normal from the bedroom next door, which could be very frustrating for some guests.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is exceptional, 10 mins walk from train station. It is close to supermarket, shops etc. Room is very clean, bed is comfoetable. Shower is really good, hot, strong big water. There is hot pipes in toilet, which is helpful for drying towels, clothes. It is quite at night even though it is in center.
Cons: Reception is not always there. You have to call them in order to let them show up. Room is a bit small.
7,0 Good
Pros: The property was within walking distance to the train station & it was easy to find places for breakfast nearby. The room was very comfortable for a solo traveler, though I did only spend a night there. The staff don't speak a lot of English, but it was enough to address my questions.
Cons: Unfortunately on the night I stayed there, the light in the bathroom wasn't working. However, the staff resolved it by providing a lamp that was sufficiently bright.

Rina Rooms - Vernazza - Outdoor view

8,9 Excellent (509 reviews)
R2 225+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Rina Rooms places you in the heart of Vernazza, steps from Vernazza Beach and Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and cosy place in Vernazza, very gentle owners with a charming dog. The room is rather spacious, with a fridge, pleasant view from the window.
Cons: Stairs are not easy to climb - for me is ok but for older or larger people might be an issue.
7,0 Good
Pros: The host was accommodating and answers messaging promptly. The instruction for location and entry is easy and we have no problem entering for late arrival. Clean facility and has a coffee maker. Overall, it's a scenic rustic place, I recommend it for young couples.
Cons: The facility was limited and had the bare essential in the room. There is many stairways in the narrow alleyway to the property. There are limited restaurant options at night and pre-booking was needed or else seating might not be available for the 2 open overly crowded restaurant. The local train and station might be confusing, almost get off on stations with similar name for transfer @ La Spezia, make sure its La Spezia C. Don't recommend for group because the bathroom is located in the bedroom, so sofa bed guest will have to enter the bedroom to go to bathroom.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Prime location. Friendly host
9,0 Excellent

Pros: Located right above the train station so it is perfect if you take the train. Great for traveling to Cinque Terre.
Cons: Nothing.
7,3 Good
Pros: The owners were fantastic! Even the people we were directed to have breakfast at, were fantastic! We were driven to a carpark and driven back to the hotel. We showed up and were offered a free upgrade to our rooms (originally supposed to have 1 room for 4 people, gave us 2 double rooms for the same price). The rooms were the largest we've ever stayed in while traveling through Europe. Beds were very comfortable. Perfect location to catch a train if you're traveling the Cinque Terre or any of the small villages nearby. Originally were only supposed to stay 1 night in La Spezia at Casa Dane but stayed an extra night because of the location and hospitality. Definitely recommend this hotel!
Cons: We were a little confused when we arrived because there was no one at the hotel. We didn't know that we were supposed to call before arrival and then they would meet us at the hotel. All in all, probably our fault and the way things work there... just a bit confusing.
4,7 Okay
Pros: nice bathroom, the owner was nice when we saw her!
Cons: no one there when we arrived, another guest answered the door! breakfast in a cafe in town,(so had to leave the room etc) , just one coffee & croissant- for 85 euros!

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Location and excellent. The views to the ocean were stoning. The staff was outstanding. Attentive, very responsive to requests and accommodation. Always, always with a big smile The breakfast was absolutely very delicious. The staff member who was responsable to the check in was fenomenal, great attitude, always smiling. A 10 plus for him and the morning staff also. Happy that we were able to find a Spanish channel on the TV (Television Española) that keep us entertained during the night. Please keep it up for other future Spanish speaking customers.
Cons: Bathroom to small and was not quit clean. The shower head installed was very low quality. The holder wasn’t able to hold the shower head. As a consequence we have to maneuver the telephone shower with the hand.

Pros: We had an amazing stay here in Riomaggiore, and wished we could have stayed here longer!! Such a beautiful place, the hotel is located a short walk up the hill from the town centre and with access from the lower streets by a lift which was handy. Very clean and tidy room, and we were also treated to a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a sea view room since the hotel was quieter in the low season! Enjoyed the beautiful views from our balcony and also had a delicious breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit and fresh coffee each morning! Would highly recommend a stay here.
