Pros: The room was great and very well located. Their restaurant is rated best in the town and it had a great breakfast too.
Cons: The jacuzzi bath did not have a shower element which was a little inconvenient.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location. View from the rooftop. Beautiful historic building. Amazing breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and beautiful and food was really good. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful especially Stelios (reception) who is btw a total cutie <3 for whom u will wanna come back for hehehe. He helped us a lot to find great places to have fun in rethimno and we hug him and thank him for his help. Oh and the jacuzzy was great and u have a great view of the city there as well.
Cons: I dont have anything negative to say about this place everyrhing was amazing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The personel, the welcome drink, the room, the bathroom, the pool on the rooftop, the breakfast, the restaurant, everything was amazing here, we wished we could have stayed longer, best hotel we staying in during our whole trip to creta!
Cons: Nothing to declare here!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Greek hospitality at Avli was exceptional and exceeded any reasonable expectations - the staff and management were all friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable holiday. When we needed to leave before breakfast on a trip to Knossos they served us a beautiful breakfast in our room and a picnic for lunch. The food, drink and service was excellent and we were sad to leave Avli for now, but hope to return one day. It was a brilliant introduction to Greece for my daughter and I would strongly recommend Avli to any person on business or holiday staying in Crete.
Cons: A map of the old town would be useful for visitors that drive themselves or get a taxi from the airport. Avli organised a private taxi for us and the driver was very friendly and took us straight to the hotel, but the narrow streets in the old town can be confusing for first time visitors that are trying to locate the hotel themselves.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best service in Crete, beuatiful apartments with all the small details which make you happy
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful, the location is perfect and close to a car park (20€ for 2 days), they gave us a wonderful welcome aperitif, and even prepared breakfast for us the evening before a very early departure and made packed lunches for our hike with local produce! Both restaurants are great : the food at the main restaurant (also called Avli) is amazing and the food at their Cretan tapas bar (raki ba raki) was also very good and great value for money. Make sure to try the wine too!!
Cons: Loved everything !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Feel at home, freindly staff, nice location & good breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Staff! Especially Elina! It is a very nice and clean hotel in the heart of the beautiful old town. Dinner at the Avli Restaurant was classy. Great chef! Also the other restaurant, Raki Ba Raki is a perfect place to drink some uzo or raki with delicious Cretean food. We had very good time in Avli and hope to be there again...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was large and very spacious, the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the garden restaurant which is beautiful. We also did the cooking class hosted by Katerina which was phenomenal. We would definitely recommend it!

Pros: After travelling for 6 weeks around Scandinavia we arrived in Crete We stayed at the most amazing boutique hotel. Pepi’s staff were the nicest people who could not do enough for us. The hotel was fabulous, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant. Not one thing I can fault and believe me I’m fussy.
Cons: Only issue we had was parking but soon sorted that out

Cons: We loved everything
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, clean rooms
Cons: N/A
9,2 Excellent
Pros: What I surely noticed, from the warm welcome up until we said goodbye, was how friendly, polite and very helpful the people working there were. Even though we had a late evening arrival, Manusos (hope I spelled it right) and his colleague waited for us and offered a quick welcome drink, then making sure to explain everything and get us settled in. Same with all the nice ladies who helped with the delicious breakfast, making sure things were right. I also needed some help choosing and booking a good restaurant which, again, they helped with. So thank you all for that. I also liked the location of the hotel and also the facilities (nice interior terrace and pool, even if we didn’t stay at the pool). Rooms were also large and pretty well equiped. The beds were huuuuge. Bathrooms clean. Everyday they would clean and provide fresh towels. Breakfast was also very good, with a combo of open-bar and a la carte choices.
Cons: No stay is ever perfect, but this was very very good. What hindered us a bit was the fact that I would have loved the posibility to vent the rooms more without leaving the windows opened. Also, the ones who stayed on the 1st floor suffered a bit more from the heat than us at the ground floor. Sure, there is AC and it works, but it’s not a good idea to leave it on all night. Not sure there’s an actual solution to this that they could implement. It’s Crete, it’s warm. I would have loved it though if the wooden “windows” would have had some vents (instead of being solid wood) to allow the all day ventilation of rooms. However, the building being an old school (very charming), the owners wanted to keep it as original as possible, which I can appreciate. And that’s kind of it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Pepi by far exceeded expectations, from the welcoming, friendly and helpful staff to the beautiful garden and exceptionally stylish plunge pool. It is an oasis in the old town and a perfect place from which to explore the shops and restaurants. I could not recommend Pepi more highly. Thank you so much for having us and getting our stay in Crete off to such a great starts the rest of our booked hotels now have an awful lot to live up to!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect in the town centre. The facilities are amazing and the pool very refreshing. Decoration is perfect with many little details. Breakfast is great with ample variety of food selection. Personal was very attentive and helpful. Totally recommend the place.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice welcome, great place in the heart of old town Rethymno, rooms look just like the pictures, close to the public beach but the private pool was very relaxing as well, a lot of cafés and restaurants nearby
Cons: Everything was great
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, really clean and very comfy bed. Very friendly staff and gorgeous breakfast. Great location!
Cons: Pool is small but nice sunbeds and a great hotel to stay while exploring Rethymnon
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is simply amazing! Everything was perfect: the room, breakfast and the area outside the hotel. It’s in the middle of the old town. There are plenty of great restaurants around. The staff is very friendly and, at the same time, absolutely professional. They organised birthday surprise for my husband, which was very kind! Thank you once again for making our stay so special! :) We will be back for sure :D

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious!! the location perfect (3min walk from the hotel to the beach + restaurants + mini super markets + souvenir stores + 15min walk to the old town). The room spacious and clean, the view from our terrace great! The staff was so helpful and polite!
Cons: The only minus: I payed for a massage but it was not good...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Melrose Hotel as family. We got a great suite with balcony ideally suited for us ... perfect size, large bathroom! The rooms are all new, well kept and always cleaned. The hotel was ideally located for us: one minute to the beach (perfect for the kids), ten minutes to the old city centre and not noisy. We always found a parking lot close by. Breakfast was great ... a lot of choices, delicious food, just a perfect start into the day. But most important to mention the outstanding friendliness of the people at Melrose Hotel. Always helpful, a nice chat whenever you wanted. Especially our young daughter made friend with everyone and she won't forget the birthday surprise cake with the candles not able to blow out ;-) We will definitely come back!
Cons: Our stay was much too short .... :-(
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were truly amazed with our stay. The hotel is very beautiful, modern and clean. Very accommodating Staff overall and especially the Frond Desk. The hotel has a perfect location only a few minutes walking distance from the old town of Rethymno and with many restaurant options. We definitely wish to be back!
Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: This hotel excelled in many ways! What we valued most were the kind personnel, clean rooms, delicious breakfast and very convenient location!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are so friendly, receptionists in particular. Thanks for your favourite restaurant recommendations. Room very spacious, great mood lighting and balcony with side sea view. Pool is great also.
Cons: Double bed is 2 singles pushed together.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Wholehearted politeness of the reception; cleanliness and modern set-up of the room; quality of breakfast.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Beds very comfortable
Cons: Air con in our room was noisy as it came on intermittently

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very clean and well appointed. The staff were courteous
Cons: The hotel caters mainly for package tour groups. We were asked for a 2.5 euro per day surcharge to use the room safe, which was waived when we complained (we have never been asked for this at any other hotel). There is also a Euro 10 deposit for pool towels. Cannot get espresso coffee at breakfast, which is really unacceptable in a 4 star hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Booked half board for seven nights and the food was superb . Rooms were really spacious and spotlessly clean with a huge balcony .Staff throughout the hotel cleaners, reception , waitress's were always helpful and courteous , special mentions for Christos the Rooms Division manager who was able to accommodate me in the hotel at very short notice and was extremely helpful . Next time I am in Rethymnon I will definitely be staying at the Atrium Ambiance .
Cons: The only minor critisism I have is the lack of English channels on the television , but this is being very picky .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is great: recently renovated, clean, nicely designed. The staff members were always friendly and helpful. It's just a 30 minutes walk to the historical center from the hotel but there are many cafes, restaurants, and stores nearby. Their own restaurant served amazing breakfasts and dinners, it was hard to try everything because of the huge variety of tasty meals. The hotel doesn't have music parties and kids under 14 are not allowed, so it's also really quiet.
Cons: Paid drinks during the dinner, even a cup of tea.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were unbelievably helpful and kind. They couldn’t have been friendlier and the hotel couldn’t have been nicer in anyway. The waitresses were wonderful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very helpful and friendly (and i include everyone here, reception desk but also bartenders, cleaning staff or restaurant people) and made the stay amazing all along, also the pool is great, premises are excellent, just like the location, very close to the beach but at the same time really quiet, last but not least room was spacious, bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was always yummy, varied, fresh and tasty.
Cons: Some people might be less happy with the dinner buffet, but it's harder to make people happy that way than with the breakfast and in my opinion the staff did a great job with a Greek night with typical gyros, so even if it was a challenge, you could tell they made sure to try and make residents as happy as possible.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely modern clean hotel. Excellent pool chairs and pool beds. Brilliant wi fi. So good we extended our stay by 2 nights.
Cons: Can't fault anything. Excellent hotel and facilities
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great pool area, yummy breakfast, loved the room
Cons: Pay for safety box, pay cash deposit for towels wasn't told so had to go back up to the 5th floor to get money, room towels like sand terrible
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and customer service was excellent. No problems with earlier breakfest/last mimute room switch. Also, super- communicative bartenders:)
Cons: Additional payment for drinks during the dinner
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice hotel location, big room, generous breakfast buffet.
Cons: Paying for mineral water during dinner is disgusting. Adding 10E to total hotel price is nothing but asking for everyday payment is really annoying. BTW, the water price is four time the market price. Had to ask a receptionist for a shower gel, no new gel bottle was brought to the bathroom in 4 days.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in a perfect place to just walk to everrwhere, it also has breathtaking breakfasts and a privileged service. Cathrina is the best. If you ever come to Rethymno please stay here ! Best place ever !
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was welcoming and helpful from the moment I booked the reservation to checking in as well as during my stay! I stayed upstairs in Room 3 with its own little porch and I think of it as the “Blue Room”. It was beautifully decorated with a private seating area as well as very comfortable bed and lovely artwork from the previous owner who was also a well-known Greek artist. The room has a deep bathtub and amenities for soaking after a day at the beach or exploring the Fortress in Rethymnon. The hosts were quick to offer coffee when I arrived and sat down with a map to acquaint me with the winding alleys that lead to the port and the beaches.
Cons: I think they’ve thought about just about everything you could need.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I wish I remembered her name but the woman at reception and who served breakfast in the morning was so very friendly, nice and helpful, giving us helpful advice and seeing to our every need. She couldn’t have been any better and made us feel right at home,
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Catherine and her mother were the best hosts very friendly and any requests where not a bother they were very accommodating and would highly recommend their hotel for your stay. We are just sad that we only stayed for one night!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice little hotel, a modern adaption retaining a sense of the old. Staff, including Catherine, very helpful and friendly, breakfasts plentiful and good to keep you going through the day. Food options in the old town are many and very tasty. Beaches in south of Rethymno province are superb, if you like lovely sand, mountain backdrop, and relatively calm waters for swimming. We visited Skinaria, Damnino and Theopetra beaches, albeit some windy roads, particularly Theopetra at end. Knossos worth a visit with guide.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for sightseeing. Staff service was perfect and very kind, When I checked in, the staff gave detailed guidance about Rethimno with a map. The staff took care of everything about my stay including bus timetable for heading to Chania and Heraklion, information about good restaurants for dinner, etc... The staff helped me to go to taxi stand with a heavy suitcase after checking out. The service was wonderful and the room was so spacious and clean! I really appreciate the comfortable stay.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Convenient location. Extremely friendly and helpful personnel.

With a stay at Veneto Boutique Hotel in Rethymno, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Fortezza Castle and Neratze Mosque and Minaret. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very good buffet breakfast - location with very nice restos around if you feel like trying a place out of the hotel although the resto is beautiful but pricy for Creta.
Cons: We didn't know you cannot access the hotel by car as it's located in the old town. So we had to leave the car about 800 m away and had to repack since we had to much luggage to drag through the crowded streets. In addition it was quite difficult to find.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: If you're looking for a quiet, quaint hotel in a part of the city that is away from the cheesy touristy shops, this is your place. It is located amongst winding narrow streets filled with restaurants and beautiful shops. True Greece!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Localization is top. Is a very charming hotel. Loved it
8,3 Excellent
Pros: -Very good restaurant for dinner -Very helpful and polite staff -The location is great -decoration is perfect
Cons: -Stairs to the second floor no elevator -The window was facing in the hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved staying at the hotel! Amazing location, fancy old building, breakfast in the garden and lovely staff!
7,5 Good
Cons: Could turn lights off from bed
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice 600-years old building with a great location in the center of the old city. Cozy rooms with a nice atmosphere are equipped with all the necessary things
Cons: The bed was a bit small. The view from the room to the courtyard with a restaurant.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: In a great location tucked away in the old town. Beautiful setting for dinner in the courtyard restaurant and great food!
Cons: A very minor negative...Arrive early for breakfast as hot option might be gone!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a charming and lovely hotel. Right in the middle of the old city, but within a short (200 meters) walk of parking. Fabulous former monastery houses the hotel and transforms it into a beautiful and romantic space.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: The location is ridiculous, you are short walk from all the things worth doing in Rethymno. The atmosphere the room creates is also beautiful.
Cons: Room 101 was close to the dining area, so light sleepers could get woken up by diners. Shower is quite small by American standards, but what isn't in Europe? Parking is also not particularly close. It's a little difficult to check out earlier than 8AM.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful building, in a beautiful part of a beautiful island. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Beach not far. History a plenty. Great staff A dream stay!

Pros: Charming renovated hotel around a courtyard in the middle of the old town. Great room on two levels - plunge pool area delightful - excellent continental breakfast with fresh orange juice. Not accessible by car but there are local car parks and taxis and bus station 15 minute walk. Staff are all excellent, very helpful, nothing too much trouble and very friendly. We will return
Cons: Nothing - we travelled by bus from Chania - excellent bus service and we took a taxi to hotel from bus station. we were dropped a few minutes walk from hotel as hotel inaccessible by car

Pros: The family team at Mythos suits were amazing and couldn’t have done more to make our Crete experience one to remember!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very lovely family run business in the heart of the old town! Location could not be better, walking distance from the beach, restaurants, bars, shopping.. we loved this place! Spacy and elegantly decorated room. Breakfast was very good. Hopefully we have a chance to return this little nice hotel! Excellent choice in Rethymon old city!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is amazing- small and sweet with excellent staff. It is located in the old town, however it is kind of hidden to others, and not noisy. So don't worry about the noise. Hotel is close to all the restaurants, shops and Venetian harbor. Beautiful beach is in a walking distance. Breakfast was good, fresh orange juice was served every morning. We loved both the city of Rethymno and Mythos hotel!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The pool is small because it is in a charming small courtyard. Great for a refreshing dip but not suitable for swimming lengths or pool games. Courtyard is pretty and appealing. Reception and all staff very pleasant and extremely helpful. Good English spoken, and German too. A friendly boutique hotel which is very central. As it is in the old town, in an interesting shopping street, taxis can drop you at the door but not minivans. Peaceful location at night with lots of good restaurants close-by.

Cons: The room is a bit too dark and there's no hot water in the shower at late hours
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was here for 1 week, and felt so welcomed by staff from the moment I checked in. It was hard to leave. All around staff are friendly and with smiles. It does help that hotel is not overcrowded as not too big. Nikolita and Mario working the outside bar are great hosts. Can spend hours just having chats with them. Location was fantastic as the beach is around the corner. There were few occasions where I missed dinner service hours due to travelling. However, there's a great spot Sofias around the corner that do Greek cuisine at great price. Location is great too! about 30 minute walk to old town of Rathymno, 5 euro taxi trip or electric scooter. Nights spent in Bora Bora beach bar (5 minutes from hotel) and LUX in old town. Do recommend, Rooms are extremely clean! Loved the fact bathroom and shower units are separated. Air conditioning in room is very effective, were couple of nights where I underestimated and did get cold.
Cons: I had a car rented, it's very rare to find parking in front of the hotel. Ended up parking by the beach just a short stroll away.
6,7 Good
Pros: really good breakfast with lot of choice, and nice and helpfull staff during your breakfast
Cons: expensive for a standard room, no service, you can find much better in this area
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Superb staff - always eager and quick to help. Owner was on site every single day and always had the time for a chat. Bar staff were fantastic - you never waited more than a couple of minutes.

Several of my friends in other room had either a gorgeous ground floor deck or rooftop deck. I really loved Rethymno. Gorgeous little seaside city.

Nestled on the beach, this Rethymno property is 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Town Beach and 2.7 mi (4.4 km) from Fortezza Castle. Rethymnon Venetian Port and Rethymnon Municipal Garden are also within 3 mi (5 km).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great for kids between the various pools and beach also a contained kids playroom plus a playground. Not far from Rethymno, easy to get to by car, bus or taxi. Staff were extremely helpful and flexible. We were offered the choice of three rooms and ended up in room 922, which was the best room at the hotel between the size and the views.
Cons: Not much. The room’s shower water pressure wasn’t great at times and there weren’t many hooks for hanging towels in the bathrooms. Also the air conditioners were placed where the air from the vents would hit the beds, which made it difficult to figure out the best setting to help us sleep comfortably. We figured it out after a few nights.

Pros: The hotel is in a great building, and nicely located between the old town and the fortress, with a small supermarket and paid parking nearby. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
Cons: There was a constant drip from the ceiling above the toilet onto our heads. It would be good to provide conditioner as well as shampoo.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and had a variety of regional specialties. The location was perfect; it is near everything. The rooms are nicely furnished with period type furniture.
Cons: Parking is quite a walk away and it is hard to drop off your luggage, but the hotel staff did help, which made it easier.

Pros: Everything else was close to perfection, we felt almost at home. Great location, charming little courtyard with a mini pool
Cons: The WiFi was quite unreliable. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not at all. The parking situation is difficult.

Pros: I travelled to Crete for a friends wedding. The hotel was recommended and the best part was that the staff were so friendly. They made our stay amazing.
Cons: There couple have been a bit more food variety at the hotel. However there were still plenty of options to choose from

Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The beach and mountain vista is amazing and the proximity to Rethymo is excellent! We enjoyed the buffet style meals and the bars in the hotel and on the beach provided the drinks and snacks we wanted.
Cons: The rooms need refurbishing as the general decor and bathrooms are looking a little tired, tea and coffee making facilities and more plug sockets would be useful! Generally the facilities are very good but a few microwaves and coffee machines around the hotel for guests to use would be great!

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Short walk from the beach and well maintained hotel. Good selection of items for breakfast. Nice staff and clean room.
Cons: While we enjoyed the buffet breakfast the buffet dinner was rather mediocre. Wide selection but felt more care could have been given in preparing the dishes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night as my parents live in Crete but I will definitely book and stay here again.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were some of the most friendly and efficient we have encountered anywhere. Tables were cleared and reset quickly at meal times and food constantly replenished. The newly refurbished bedrooms are immaculate and have everything you could need. Great air con and very comfortable beds. The food is good and plentiful, the food at the Greek night in particular was very good. Worth paying extra for half board and nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. The hotel clearly reads its guest reviews and acts on the feedback it receives. I noticed some changes had been made to address previous minor grumblings about unpeeled fruit for example...! Struggled to fault this hotel and any minor criticism is intended constructively as we had a great time
Cons: Not much! The hotel doesn't have parking and the streets nearby are very busy with cars but we always managed to find a space. The step into the hot tub area could be better marked as it is difficult to see when the bubbles are switched on. An option for house wine would be good. I am being very picky here though, as it was great!

Pros: Good location, spacious room, not too busy (early May), kids friendly (e.g. nice play area for kids)

Pros: Angela and staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. A free car park was directly across the street such a bonus when parking is hard to find. Our room was spacious and the bed and pillows were comfy. The breakfast was good. The location was fantastic within walking distance to the old town and the fortress and the beach. We loved our stay and would have liked a few days longer, we stayed for 2 nights. Great restaurants and shops too.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good location and value for money
Cons: Breakfast was average at best
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, easy to walk to the lovely old town and the venetian harbor. Quiet area. Easy to go out the city by car. Free big and private parking in front of the hotel. Nice staff (with a special mention for Virginia). Large room, spacious, with kitchenette. Clean. Comfortable double bed. Nice breakfast. Good wi-fi. Terrace on the top of the building with nice view. Supermarket on the same street (300 m). Many restaurants and tavernas in the old town (we recommend Taverna Stavros – very good food and prices). A lot of stores and shops in the old town, with souvenirs, local and traditional products. Good value for money. We’ll come back in Rethymnon and definitely stay here again.
Cons: Very small, tight bathroom. Old style rubinetterie. In the first two nights, cold water stopped suddenly during the night because they were replacing the water in the courtyard pool. Surcharge to use the safe box. You get only one access card for the room (which is also for the electric power) and you have to leave it at the reception when leaving. You can ask to leave it in the electric power slot when going out around (in order to charge your devices) but somebody from the reception has to come with you to open the door for you (they were kind to do so).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything at Palazzo Vecchio was great! My wife and I stayed there for 2 days while visiting the Greek Islands and we were very pleased with the nice and helpful staff, and clean and well kept rooms.
Cons: There was a wall being built around a planned parking lot for the hotel. This was not an issue for us though as we still managed to find parking near the hotel and we were upper in the morning for breakfast as the workers were beginning to work.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, hotel is located very central but at the same time on a quite road.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Optimal position, if you want to explore the city center without being exposed to the noise of the center. Convenient parking in front of the hotel. Lovely swimming pool and excellent breakfast. Quiet square and promenade to walk and relax nearby.
Cons: Most of the rooms are accessible through stairs, which may be a problem for some people.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location Rooftop loungers
Cons: Air conditioning seemed a little inadequate

Pros: The design is beautiful. The staff was nice.
Cons: The pool areas very busy. I think, wolud be necessary a own beach coast with beachbar. The quality of the food and drink was not worthy of the hoteldesign.

Pros: Amazing atmosphere, so chilled and relaxing, very beautiful design and vibe, food was great. Hot tub with a view was amazing!
Cons: Slow bar service during the day, need more bar staff, most staff very friendly, but a few not so happy!

Pros: Just left the Syntopia hotel and it is perfect. The staff was incredible, very friendly and they went above and beyond with every/any request. The room was beautiful and there is plenty of space to spread out. I loved the decor and color scheme- very restful. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful. We ate all of our meals outside, the weather was amazing- warm days and cool nights. I highly recommend this fantastic hotel and look forward to my next stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Let me first start paying tribute to the architect that designed this amazing hotel and made every single spot in the hotel so cozy and warm! Apart from the design, what makes Syntopia excellent is its cuisine and all the amazing people that work there. A big thanks to Sarah -the guest relation manager, Manolis- the Barman and Michalis- the hotel manager! I know that everyone writes about the staff, but trust me they cannot be mentioned enough. The only negative thing about the resort is that it is so nice within the hotel premises that we barely went out. A big shout out to the music and vibe. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who seeks a truly relaxing holiday in nature. I am simply dying to return back!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Gypset vibe, unique ambience and atmosphere! I was recommended to this lovely place by some friends. Once I arrived at syntopia I was literally amazed from all the details and materials. The cacti, and tropical plants made us feel so relaxed like being in a tropical jungle. The food was outstanding with so many choises and flavours from around the world! Sara, the guest relation manager was extremely helpful, recommending us some excellent restaurants and places to visit near by. The beach is 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, however the atmosphere within syntopia didn’t let us want to go out. It was like being in a hidden oasis. We also enjoyed the complimentary Yoga lessons by the uniquely designed teepee. Mirel is such a lovely instructor. We had a wonderful time at Syntopia and would surely recommend any couple or batch of friends looking for relaxation to visit. Really great job!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 2nd time in Syntopia this time taking the opportunity to also explore some beaches at the southern of Crete. Room design top notch and ambience at the swimming pool extremely relaxing. The open air cinema is an absolute must if staying as couple. Great experience! Staff was very kind and always accommodating,
Cons: Everything was just amazing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great relaxing break at Syntopia! We had a lovely uber chilled break at Syntopia! The weather was hot, perfect for sunbathing and loafing around the lagoon style pool. The architecture and vibe is absolutely unique. The rooms are very comfortable with natural materials and earthy colours. The smell all around the hotel is so nice (it reminded me of jo malone’s scents) The staff was always cheerfull and courteous! The buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner was a big surprise with so many choices and tasty dishes! We never got bored since dishes were rarely repeated. Surprisingly we experienced a wine tasting event next to the main pool, complimentary by the hotel, offering a great variety of local terroir driven wines! All in all, the value for money is great for such a unique place. Will definitely come back again soon! Thank you Syntopia! Our stay was syntopic!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: If your looking for a quiet adult vibe, this is your place. Especially in the summer months when other hotels tend to get very noisy. This property was hands down absolutely beautiful! I was on the hunt for an adults only hotel in this town, I have stayed before and it’s the best location. it has its own little street with shops and the old town is stunning. Driving to various places on the Island is easy. The layout and design was nothing short of perfection. I have never seen anything like this in all my travels to Greece. Very photo friendly ;) The Room design was stunning. We booked the room with the spa bath (although I believe all the rooms are designed beautifully.) They provide all the smart technologies of today. Coffee machine, with capsule coffee was a huge plus! The food at the restaurant was well thought out and changed everyday. Very tasty! my only recommendation was to stock the bar with non alcoholic beer. The snack bar was also good, but could use more options. The staff were very friendly and professional. the idea of having someone lead you to your room is not only for baggage purposes, but to explain the room and provide good info.
Cons: The only down side was the seat reservations at the pool. Reservations are not allowed. (you can’t place your towel and leave) after 8:30 all is open. So people wake up at the crack of dawn (6:30) and sit down there till 8:30 when they can leave their spot. By 7:30 there is nothing decent left. Not all the seating has sun protection. The hotel definitely needs to find a solution, like a sign up for guests with a weekly limit.. or something. No one should have to wake up by need at this hour on vacation.. But once your down there and acclimated at the pool, it’s perfect and very comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel, very cool & clean rooms, great pool & bar area. Buffet was top class.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is so beautiful! Apparently it was renovated this year and it is very stylish and vibrant. The food was great and the rooms so amazingly decorated. Honestly, the staff and everyone in Crete to be honest was very helpful and smiling.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was fantastic! We loved the variety. The front desk staff helped us a great deal with recommendations. We loved the pool area and the beach. Antonio was delightful and gave excellent service. Our room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing, to say the least!
Cons: More lighting over the vanity.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: it was a lovely hotel we had been staying up the coast and decided to stay in Rethymno for one more night and found your hotel. The staff were lovely the hotel was very clean and it had a lovely pool and a nice bar and great beach and also great value for money
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was more than what you could need. The hotel was decorated and finished to a lovely standard and the rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. The food was fantastic but the staff were what made the hotel really stand out. Every single member was very friendly and helpful always. Beach was great with plenty of beds and a nice view down the coast.
Cons: Drinks were expensive compared to the surrounding tavernas and bars. But hotels often are.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is on the first line and provides its clients with the sun beads and umbrellas. The room was quite OK, with nice large bed and a balcony. However, the large bed did not have one mattress on it, but two separate mattresses, which should be noted, but it did not disturb us a lot. The breakfast was nice and had choices of hot, cold dishes, fruits and sweets. Besides, it is very nice to have a breakfast on the summer terrace facing the sea. Also the hotel has nice pool, which was nice when the sea was stormy. The pool bar serves good drinks.
Cons: When choosing the hotel by stars, you expect not only services that could be provided, but a certain level of accommodation. The furniture was quite outdated and the bathroom was also quite uncomfortable with a narrow bathtub, which made showering not too comfortable with the curtain sticking all over you. Besides, the bathroom did not have a built-in ventilation, but a window, which was obviously facing the neighbors balcony, and when our neighbors smoked our bathroom was full of the cigarette smell.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: An ideal hotel for a beach and pool holiday. Directly on the seafront.
Cons: The location is further from the town centre than we had expected, but no big problem, as there are several good restaurants close to the hotel.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Own beach and pool nice. Good breakfast and dinner, good service, helpful with advicing activities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location, walking distance from everything and our room facing the water was wonderful.
Cons: Our bathtub kept clogging, but was an easy fix. Maybe a bit outdated.
6,3 Good
Cons: Hotel parking is a joke. Small unpaved courtyard for 10cars
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, service, facilities, the beach, sun beds, towels, dinner, people on the reception
Cons: The breakfast: strange coffee in big kettles, no porridge (just twice a week), tea in metallic pots
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Nice staff, good bars and restaraunts! We loved the beach with sunbeds for the hotel guests just across the road wth the service from the hotel bar. Amaazing!
Cons: To be called a proper standardised 5 star hotel, rooms would need a bit of modernisation. In the bathroom, the paint from the ceiling was falling.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was really good, lots of options, some of them local; it wasn't completely amazing, but it was up there with the best hotel breakfasts. The suite is large, modern and clean, felt like home. Nice little window in the bathroom. View from the huge suite balcony was perfect. Parking easy. This is important - it is NOT easy to find parking in the old town, and from this hotel it's an easy 15-20 min walk to town. Pool very nice, architecturally pleasing too. Nice hotel all over. Welcome fruit and wine in the fridge were appreciated too.
Cons: Small detail. More towel and clothes hooks and a chair in the bathroom. It is huge but you cannot do much with it. Not enough light in it. Has a built-in 5x lens mirror inside the regular one, super cool idea except there's insufficient light so you can't really use it (tip for the hotel: long-sighted people, who need it, also need extra bright light!) There is a small step down to one room that is unexpected and needs to be more clearly marked, for peeps who don't expect things like this without warning. No drying radiator in the bathroom either, so for towels etc, you have to put them up on balcony, but it faces North so drying stuff is not easy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent property in which to stay. We are a returning couple who stay here exclusively in Rethymnon.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A fantastically well run hotel, with lovely staff. It is well located 10 minutes' walk from the old town. The beach immediately in front of the hotel isn't the best, but the main beach in town is a short drive away and a small beach is a 5 minutes by foot in the other direction.
Cons: There is only 1 lift, so you can end up waiting for it to go up and down sometimes.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location on the rock above the sea brings a beautiful view on bay and city. One of the best beaches in near neighbourhood.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Close enough to walk to everything, far enough for peace & quiet
Cons: Could have used a microwave
9,6 Excellent
Pros: very spacious balcony...2 bed suite suitable for family.. kitchen area good...sea view excellent
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed. Quiet. Friendly staff. Perfect
Cons: We liked everything
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic, rooms were spacious and clean. Great size balcony overlooking the ocean.
Cons: Loved everything about this place.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was cleaned every day, along with daily fresh towels for the room, the pool towels we changed in the reception every other day. The staff was very friendly and They made sure we had everything we needed. Also the spa ladies were as nice as they come, we had a great experience getting the neck and back massages. The room service was also nice and fast. All in all definitely a place we would revisit when we come to Crete again.
Cons: Unfortunately the few family’s travelling with smaller (loud) kids was scattered over the entire hotel, and the sound level was accordingly, of cause this was not to the fault of the hotel more the families not respecting other people’s need for a quiet vacation, when their little prince or princess was in wanting for attention.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Huge suite for a family of 5 Staff great Clean Modern
Cons: All great

Pros: Everything is good and worth visiting it
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very professional, friendly, supportive. Especially the Restuarant & reception staffs. Location in Rethymno. On the beach + 10 mins walking to the old harbor market & restaurants. Hotel Beach. Balcony View :) Renovation of interior design of the hotel & rooms with new furniture.
Cons: Keeping the old elevator design. It is a two door system. But if you like a touch of “boutiqueness” it is fine & does the job. Only two parking spots are reserved for all the guests of the hotel considering Crete as a destination that needs a rental car. In case of no parking, which happened four times during our week stay, Which is a pain if you don’t find a side parking near the hotel or parking in the free parking side of the port + 7 mins walk.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location, the vue of the beach and the old town, fantastic. Very quite. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: The elevator very small and narrow. The stairs also narrow and not friendly .
7,1 Good
Pros: Good service, good entertainment, very close to the beach, cafes, restaurants. Clean modern room.
Cons: Noisy at night and in early morning. The hotel is located in quite a busy area, you can hear cars, people, music. Every morning a garbage truck arrives at around 5/6 am and makes a lot of noise (beeping loudly, bins loaded, etc.). One of our rooms had a window right in front of an electricity generator pole, which keeps making a buzzing noise. Small room is either is too cold or too hot. Swimming pool very small and is in the shade most of the day.
